Found at 2:37 PM GAFF1.We camped on the edge of the dam - actually looking across to the dam wall and wondering where this hole would be?Headed over to GZ and then it was on! GPSr didn't want to co-operate and took me from rocky out crop to another until eventually the cache was found in a very non-descript location. Thanks to DavidNarelle
Quick find. However, it is located in a closed area with clear sign saying no unauthorized access! Please consider to relocate the cache.
I. Our travels we found ourselves at corella dam for a couple of nights and took the opportunity to drive around to the cache, so glad we did such a beautiful spot, thanks for bringing us here
Found this one while staying at the dam. Bit of a rugged drive around to GZ but found after a short search. TFTC
We are free camping at the dam for the day. Lucky we have a 4wd as the track to the cache is in a bad way. Parked at the locked gate and walked the rest of the way to the hide. Arrived at G. Z. found the poor old plastice cache in bits. Headed back to the car to get our backpack, lucky its a nice easy walk back to the hide. Replaced cache was able to use existing log. Left thing for the kids to take. We enjoyed the challenge here today
Found this cache in desperate need for maintenance. Lid is smashed. Dry at the moment. TFTC
We were keen to visit Lake Corella on our way from Cloncurry to Mary Kathleen.
Not having a four wheel drive, we parked at a point and decided to make our way via the foreshores of the dam on foot.
This resulted in a very beautiful and roundabout route of about 2 km to get to the dam wall.
At this point, we needed to do some searching, as we found ourselves far too high above GZ.
A couple of exploration points, and we soon found ourselves heading down to a set of stairs which brought us down to a lower level and then it was a short walk to find the cache.
After this, we decided to take the road back to our car, which was probably about a 1.7 K walk
We really enjoyed the adventure and the beauty of the dam, along with the history of how this dam has come to be built.
Thanks Davidnarelle

This one is soaking wet, unable to write on it
Can the next geocaches to call in please bring a new logsheet to write as we didn’t have a spare one with us after our drive back from Mt Isa to our campsite by the dam.

Searched for a bit! I think we were a little worried for trespassing. As soon we were about to leave! We found it
6/3/21 12:37 did the off the bitumen track following the track around to the short walk over the hill to find the cache. Signed as expected. Thanks for placing this DavidNarelle
A lovly spot both heere and the nearby free camp in the dam. We were a litle concerned re the sign post of no unathorised walkers. Although I crossed over the hill away from the side, I ended up in that authorised area. CO may need to check location of cache if this is a nerwly placed sign.

Day 20 of my trip north from Adelaide.
After camping last night at Clem Walton Park, I was on my way early towards Mount Isa, via Mary Kathleen, picking up a few caches along the way.
It was a beautiful mild morning, which made walking and exploring quite pleasant. But it soon heated up to the low 30s by lunchtime, which for me at least is a bit uncomfortable for any exertion too far from the cool air conditioning in the car. Nonetheless I did make at least one strenuous walk up a hill in search of a cache, but mostly didn’t stray too far from the car.
This was my first cache for the morning and was found in the ‘not so obvious’ place after a short walk.
Thanks DavidNarelle for the cache.

A nice little trek amounts the rock. 15 minutes of searching and success. Thanks for this cache.
TFTC. We are on a massive road trip. From Brisbane to the Daintree and now onto Darwin thru the middle to Uluru. Beautiful spot.
Hoofed it here from Crusty Gully. A great walk with lots wildflowers, skinks even a frog at the campsite by the creek. What a lovely tranquil spot. Thanks. A fav point for it too.
What a magical place. Having just driven from Charleville area this landscape is a stunning change!
A little bit disappointing to drive all the way for seeing nothing but dry stones. During this time not a worthy drive down. Then the GPS danced around and the obvious 'nice' spot isn't the hide. But found it in the end.

Hi there DavidNarelle. While on holiday in Queensland we found this cache after a short search - and the container and log are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to DavidNarelle for this cache - our find 7301
There seems to be a thousand caravans here. We followed the road to a place much less crowded and after a short walk found what we were after. Great view. We found another bird watcher looking for the famous blue parrot but once again I had more luck with the cache than he had finding the bird.
What a great spot to stay we spent three nights and had a lovely time.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Another great find today. And we probably wouldn't have come over this side of the dam if it wasn't for this. Thanks
Took the hard way there, walking around the lake and a few scrambles up the hills to the dam. Easy find once there, then took the easy way back along the road to the lake. Only travelled 10kms today. This place is too nice not to spend a night. TFTC
Today we headed towards Fountain Springs picking up a few caches on the way and this was one of them.
An easy find at GZ.
Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Lake Corella was our chosen camp spot for a few days and it is a very pretty place. We found our way around to this cache, following what seemed to be a rarely maintained road and having to cross some gutters and gullies along the way. Arrived at the gated area and took the direct route to the cache (not the best choice). Found it OK and in good condition. Then we returned by the easier way. Thanks to Davidnarelle for placing this cache in a place that is so beautiful and well worth the visit.
Came from the lake side over the rocks. Was definately a challenging walk. Easy enogh to dind once there. Had nothing of value so left my pen for the next finders to use. Came back via the road. TFTC.
We left our van at the old Mary Kathleen site so that we could explore the area and grab some caches while we continue to wander around northern Australia after attending the Red Centre Experience over Easter. What a fabulous day it turned out to be. This was only one of 5 caches found today which was exciting enough, but one was a 2ndTF and even more wonderful, if possible was our meandering through the old copper mining area. How incredible were the men and women who lived and worked in this area in the early 20th century. I doff my hat to them!
Thanks to all the COs for placing these caches which helped us explore this part of our wonderful country. All logs were signed or stamped.
I can't imagine this place ever being full. Huge hidden areas everywhere. Took Tb.

Having plan 372 collapse on us when a friend we were supposed to meet in Mt Isa decided that they were now coming through Cloncurry so we booked another night in the caravan park and ventured out towards Mt Isa picking up a few caches as we went.
We agree that this was a very nice place to visit and were a little bit confused by the shut gate and took off on foot and had a nice little walk through the grass to get to gz and when we got closer we just stopped to take in the views for a second, glanced down and there was the cache. You can't ask for any better than that so we added our name to the log, discovered the TB and then headed back a slightly longer much easier way back to the car.
Thanks David Narelle for the cache.

Following my compass I started along the bush/ wallaby track, only to find that a road will take you to about 100 mtrs from your goal. I go through the gate that says no entry and my compass takes me to the right I see a bit of a track and I thought oh no not another hill climb. I climb to the top only to find that I have about 25 mtrs to go down the other side. I find my goal sign the log and bobs your uncle TFTC
Walked from Dam camping area. Not sure if that was the correct way but it certainly gave it a much higher terrain rating. TFTC
A hidden gem we didn't know about. Have to come back another time and camp for a few days. Left TB
Been camped here for a few days now about time I want to get this one. Quick find. TFTC

Love the outback and finding this cache. We are happy to have plenty of time to spend exploring this unique area. Thanks to DavidNarelle for placement of this cache and adding to our enjoyment of the area.
We've been to the Mega at Alice Springs and now on the homeward stretch so still looking for caches. Coongoola may sign small log sheets as CG if there's not much room.
The locked gate was a bit of a worry but like others had done, we just walked on through and found the cache. Lovely spot to camp but was crowded for the long weekend.
Thanks for the cache DavidNarelle.

While taking a short break in our travels we decided to leave our caravan at Mary Kathleen and take a drive over to Lake Corella. Despite it being early in the tourist season and rather warm even by our standards there where many campers set up enjoying the beautiful sunday afternoon. We even met a couple who just happened to come from our home town of Geraldton WA.
We took some time exploring around the lake after finding the cache.
thanks DavidNarelle

Found with Mum as 'Jess & Caro'. She is now Carø and I now have my own geocaching profile so we are sorting my logs for caches we found together. TFTC!
Oh gosh I walked over instead if around, haha, all the places I thought it would be were wrong. Finally found it and repair I've just my own and then there was no one or pencil I the cache. Waaaah! Tried using a small stone to write our name but in the end used a small toy that left a faint log. Pic attached.

Whilst on my way home from the NT Mega.
Great location, however, having to pass uncertainly through shut Gates and pass a no entry isn't explained at all in the description.
I'll certainly be back for a paddle here, which we almost had to do considering the Gates.

I noticed this one published last week, and knew I was headed right past it on the way home from Alice Springs. Having seen no logs on it this morning, we stopped in to check it out. After going through a couple of unlocked gates, we arrived at the end of the road to a locked gate with 'No unauthorised entry'. Considering the cache is past this point, we can only assume that permission was granted to place this cache here, otherwise it probably needs to be placed on the other side of the gate. We wandered along the rocky track, and with perfect coords, the cache was soon discovered. This is a beautiful location. We both were very tempted to drop to the kayaks in for a paddle, but with a long drive ahead back to Newcastle, that is best left for another day.
Gratias DavidNarelle.
