Visited today with nobody around, couldn't find anything in the place described by the hint.
Having lost count of the number of times I'm on board ready to set sail, or at the other end in a taxi wishing I was still in the sounds and gone dang it I didn't grab this cache.
So with no intention to board the boat today i set off for this cache, it took all my self control not to just board the boat and go away for the weekend.

On way home from Auckland , grab while waiting for delayed ferry, no GPS required

Quick find with jacksonhcnz. Great way to use the time while waiting for people to arrive. Great hide!
Great hint! Found right away. We arrived early for the ferry to the South Island, so it was fun to have a cache to find. Thanks for placing!
On a planned geocaching trip with specific targets.
1: The final 2 caches to fill my D/T grid
2: The last 5 caches available (all in the South Island) to meet the NZ Jasmer challenge GC4R9Z6
3: Get as many caches as possible in a day (Solo)
I had no timetable and only a vague route (Christchurch - Dunedin- Invercargill). So after 20 days of sleeping in my tent/car I arrived home having traveled 4500km and visited some interesting places. Met some great people. I had found over 650 caches. That was a lot of park. Jump out out. Find cache sign and return. Then on to the next. All this done by myself. Also attended an event and had 2 FTF
Mission 1 and 2 were achieved and I had a best day of 153 caches. All this done by myself.
Day 2 Wellington to Picton 5 caches found but no specific targets.
Today being ferry crossing so not many caches but a lot of waiting around. I did manage to grab this while waiting. Thank you for the placement

My daughter and I are driving down to Dunedin so she can go for her master's degree at the university. We left Auckland at 5:30AM and made it here in plenty of time to catch the 5:00PM ferry. While we waited for our turn to check-in, I zipped over and grabbed this cache. TFTC.
Fun find waiting to continue our adventure south in your Beautiful awesome NZ! Clever and just as hinted. Blessings from California.
Before leaving the north island we had to get this one. As we were there quite early nobody was around so it was very easy for us. Bye Bye Wellington, Hello Picton.

(Very late log, sorry. Date still correct though) Found today with the help of TwigNZ while out on a family trip visiting Picton from the north island, TFTC.
Up at the crack of dawn to drive down to Wellington to take a day trip over to Picton on the Interislander, and having checked in what better way to spend a few minutes than by grabbing this cleverly hidden Trad?
It wasn't quite waist height, unless the previous finder was a giant, but a bit of teamwork with my son meant that one of us could guide the other in to where the caches placed.
Thanks for this one, and a great start to our day trip.

Waiting for the late crossing so needed to stretch legs before a snooze in the vehicle. Very easy and not a problem with everything shut up tight!
#3856 Found before departure to Picton, very usefull hint, easy find. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Czech Republic.
Just arrived in Wellington, destination Picton in a couple of hours. Nice place for a cache, cheers. TFTC
Had a drop off here and thought I’d linger and pick up a cache. Needed the hint and a team effort with TTNZ.
Cache soon in hand and GLAD to be getting another smiley. Thanks capperz for placing and maintaining. Cache in good condition.

Heute: 3. Cache von total 3 Caches.
Beim Warten auf die Fähre haben wir noch diesen Cache gesucht. Das war unser letzter Cache auf der Nordinsel von Neuseeland. Nun geht's auf die Südinsel.

While waiting for the ferry, we still searched for this cache. This was our last cache on the North Island of New Zealand. Now it's off to the South Island.

Tomorrow I will take the ferry from here. Had a walk the night before to check out this place. Since the checkin was already closed I could log it without any muggels. TFTC and Merry Xmas.
We arrived nice and early for our reconnaissance trip to our new digs, so once we moved the car to its final waiting point to board the ferry Miss 3Prettys and I zipped over to the terminal building to make the find. We loved the placement here and as it was a night sailing there was hardly anybody to be sneaky around.
Thank you for the cache!
Thank you for the cache!
Während des Wartens auf unser Ausleihauto konnten wir kurz den Cache loggen. Allerdings großer Muggel-Alarm! Das Sightseeing für die Nordinsel kann beginnen. DfdC!!!
Great hide in a high Muggle density area. After receiving the key to our rental car all ferry Muggles and taxis were gone so we had enough time to look for the cache. FP in. TFTC #2431 say Die_Butzis on 1. Dezember 2018.

22269 Traveling through New Zealand to see nice people and places. Also to find some geocaches.
Today we went from Picton to Wellington At the boat terminals we had some time to look for geocaches nearby while waiting for the boat. There were a few of them around.
Most caches were found quite quickly. A few took more time. Some were too humid to write clearly. Muggles did not watch what we were doing.
capperz TFTC and the fun it brought us. Theo

I realised I had an hour to kill so checked for nearby caches and saw this was 29ft away from me. Nice quick find in a busy place. My last in N Island. Greetings from Edinburgh. Tftc
Greetings from Texas! Found with Brockwood_Brewer on our way to Picton on the ferry. Thanks for such a great hide. One last find before leaving Wellington.
On our way home from the MEGA (but we will have to return - so many interesting places to explore - and still a few frownies we didn't have time to get back to). Arrived with time to dash to the terminal to buy a paper and reach a hand around... what a great place for a cache! Now we're able to get two caches on the ferry crossing, this one and the virtual in Tory Channel.
A fairly quick find in this very public location, after arriving a few minutes early for our ferry check-in. TFTC
We cross Cook Strait at least six times a year, so it was time we stopped off and found this cache before checking in for our latest crossing. TFTC.

#5958. A nice bookmark to an enjoyable afternoon. A capperz cache in Picton and now a capperz cache in Wellington after a 3 hour cruise on the Kaitaki . Sandwiched in between a virtual at Tory Channel and a lovely sunny journey through the sounds and across Cook Strait. The cache didn't take too long to find thanks to the detailed hint. Surprised to see that after a few months of no activity I was the second to sign today. All good here. Thanks for hiding it capperz.
Oh no! The ferry left without me! Oh well I guess I didn't have a ticket, or any plans to catch it. So it's not that big a deal. In fact I get sea sick in the shower so... I'll just sit here in the sun and fill out this log, satisfied with my lot. TFTC, an easy find. Cheers
Not going anywhere today, bit took advantage of a quiet time to grab this one tonight. All safe and dry here. TFTC
TFTC- last one on the north island. After spending two amazing weeks on the north island, we are heading to the south island for another two weeks
This terminal is a very boring place to wait for a ferry. The cache made the wait more tolerable. Thanks.

Never have time to grab this when catching the ferry (with car). Remembered still hadnt got it when passing with Selesi and Gilgul at a very quiet time and Gilgul soon hand in hand. Thank goodness the nearby Vaper was facing the other way. TFTC
#574. Nice easy park & grab while dropping off my two British wwoofers for their ferry ride to Picton. Tftc capperz.
Were a bit early for our ferry and this cache was just waiting for us to fill in the spare time, tftc
Quick find in the time we waited for baby seats. Previous Finder must be 3m height if I take the waist high...
Nice easy find as we wait for our ferry sailing so that the last Nth Island cache for this trip. TFTH
Our last found on the north island. Now we're going on the Cook street. TFTC and greetings from Germany.
Easy find today - will be back with pen another day to sign and record the find....
Quick and easy find while waiting for the arrival of the ferry. Lots of people waiting to leave but no problem.

checking out the ferry dock as we have to drop our car off here in the early morning and get on the ferry. Noted a cache only 10M from where I was standing in the terminal. Easy find. TFTC
Easy find thanks to the clue. Normally wouldn't have had a chance to do rubus cache because of having to queue elsewhere when driving into the ferry. But today was different so was able to have a chance at the cache. Cheers.

Picked up a hire car but before setting off up north we had our first journey in it and trickled over to this one and had the place to ourselves for a quick find. TFTC!
We are waiting for the ferry to Picton. Nothing do to, so we watched if there is a cache around; and there is!!
But right next to GZ is an ice cream car with free ice creams!! So a lot of people want a ice cream. It was hard to pick the cache without anybody noticing, but we managed. So we deserved an ice cream ourselves ;=]
TFTC Rennsuuken (NL)

1 January 2018 17:15... and yes the destination is Picton... then Blenheim, Nelson then finally Christchurch. Thanks for the hint and a way to fill in some time while waiting for the ferry capperz.
Our whanau journey to the South Island brings us to this place and yay we got to find a cache (extra early catches the worm) nice easy find with next to no muggles about tftc
Found during an afternoon walk through the city before tomorrow's departure to the South Island. Claver hide. Thank you from Czech.
Found while waiting for ferry to a South Island trip. We thought that it was inside, so it was quite hard
Waiting for the ferry so what better to pass the time. Much better place than the mugged one I was trying to find last year. Tftc
Day seven of our New Zealand tour.
Leaving the North Island today on a lovely calm crossing... hopefully. Sorry I couldn’t sign the log as my bag is on the coach.. and I’m not. I didn’t expect to find any geocaches today.

A quick find while in the area this afternoon. Thanks very much for the cache.
New Zealand ... a dream for every traveling [8)]
A little more than 20 years ago I've been here, but since then much has changed and that's also good! Now I'm back here ... 1 week North Island and 2 weeks South Island ... cool [^] Of course, I want to visit a few caches. Especially dissolved puzzle caches, which I find particularly attractive Best thanks to all the owners !! Greetings from the Swiss "Kiwi"
Teil unseres Urlaubs.
Besten Dank für den Tradi

Found on the way to check in for a family holiday to Picton. Nice quick find thanks to the generous hint. Our writing stick is buried somewhere in our luggage, so I decided to skip signing the physical log book. All good at GZ, thanks for giving us a great caching start to the trip!
