Tftc A bit of a challenging one, had to motivate myself that nothing wants to hurt me
I came out here for my brothers soccer ghala day and I noticed that there was a cache nearby so I went into the woods to find had to squeeze in a little tight space in order to get it
Tftc! Wow! A real slog. Got it in the end, but it took some doing to get down there
That was a fun little adventure on a Sunday morning.
I needed a find today to fill in a day on my calendar.
I attempted this one a few months ago and spent a fair while searching for a spot that matched the hint until I was put off by a (drunk?) muggle shouting nonsense and stumbling around the bush above me.
Realised today that I'd been looking in the wrong spot anyway, I'd somehow overshot GZ by about 20m. Today I came straight on it and was pretty certain I was in the right spot. Wasn't sure about accessing the cache after reading previous logs but made my way in (and out) without any problems (I suppose it helps being small).
Took nothing, left pen/pencil holder and some meal and wine vouchers.

Having completed Wood into wood, I thought I’d take the path less trodden across to this, being pretty close. I’d already had a morning lockdown expedition with some geomates that I had to cut short, so my geosenses were already warmed up, and I was hoping for a quick location episode this time. Love walking through the bush on days like this, and I could just make our a glimmer of the surface of the nearby George’s river. I arrived at what appeared to be a likely formation, and retrieved my not so trusty device, which confirmed I was in the zone, but as always with so many of the hides along the river, just what level would it be on. With the hint in mind, I looked in many locations that could have fit the bill, climbing here, scrambling there, I was concerned that after the last hide being 25m out by my device, that this may well be a long search. But after a short while, I came across something that really did fit the bill, and I was thinking surely not, while always knowing of course it is! I could give a big description of how much “fun” I had retrieving the hide, but that would spoil it, but I would strongly suggest that if you’re not particularly confident or fittish, please bring someone with you, just in case!
I fun cache this one, if you’re into that sort of thing! FP

What an amazing cache! I trekked it up from “pump” and upon approaching ground zero from below I was greeted to 3 owls peering at me from the trees above. They watched me helplessly search for the cache and changed their positions a few times. Eventually I found a suitable spot to place a cache that matched the hint and down I went! A great big cache I was rewarded with for the effort in retrieval. Thank you for the cache!
Certainly an interesting spot, gotta be prepared to get dirty to get to it. Added another kind of ball to the collection TFTC.
Off on another geo adventure with Littl3Vix and today we have decided on a bush bash to check on some nearby caches that have had hazard reduction burns in the nearby areas. It was cloudy but warm, a good day for a hike! Oh my gosh, what an adventure! This was my first bush bash and after making our way from For wood into wood then to Pump, I now had a better idea of what I was in for! I have pretty good stamina for sports but all this bush bashing was sure taking it out of me, especially all the clambers back up the hills! Once we made it to the top, we stopped and had a read before beginning our search. Littl3Vix remembered some logs she had read for this one and after we saw where we were going, it all clicked. So many firsts today. First big bush bash. First small space. First squeezing very uncomfortably into said small space but I did it, I got in there and got that cache out! Boy raindoctor, you (and Littl3Vix ) are pushing my limits! After retrieval, we sat down and enjoyed the views while completing the signing duties then returning the log. Thanks for the cache raindoctor!
On a bush bash adventure with Mizcupcake today to give her a taste of some RD hides. Starting at midday the weather was overcast but a great 23 degrees. We parked the geomobile at Lynwood Park and headed down the fire trails. This was find number 3 for today. And coming up from Pump the ascent sure had us working for it. We narrowed down on gz and soon spotted our treasure. Mizcupcake went for the retrieval, also facing fears in the process. So proud of her, she had CIH quickly. After signing we sat back to enjoy the view and get ready for the next one. TFTC!
Great hide. Sent hubby down, however, it was too far to be reached, even with the extra assistance left.
Having Friday off work, and eyeing this one for a while. Easy enough getting to the GZ, but sure had fun retrieving!
Well today has been a Raindoctor hides baptism of fire! You lulled me into a false sense of security with your Scouts hide and then this... I went in as a girl and came out a woman! It was a bit tricky for my short legs to reach GZ but with some courage and upper arm strength I got there. Then we needed to determine which one of us would navigate the abyss and retrieve the cache. Muggle friend drew the short straw, but I did lend him my head lamp. It was around this time that he exclaimed to me 'wow, this is actually pretty hard core! It's not just for kids hey' He then proceeded to suggest we try and find all your hides! Think you may have a new fan! Tftc and FP awarded for bringing us to this awesome spot and making me test my limits. Cheers!
This one was great! A bit of effort and some courage but got there in the end, while Sadie waited cautiously for me to return from the unknown. Left a note and a trinket.
Out with the Geo-grand kids for the day looking for some new ones when decided to tackle this one.
Got to GZ easy enough but once I figured out where the cache was located, I decided that because I am a fat bastard I'd give my grand daughter a go at retrieving it. Cache in hand I let her do the honors of opening it up and taking first pick at the treasure inside.
Awesome Cache.

My favourite kind of hide! Had no problems getting to GZ and straight saw what was going to happen! Ducked right in and had a slide down to the container, fun.

A trip from ACT to Lynwood park to watch the soccer, but that started 2hrs later so a quick walk around the local bush caching. Sydney caches seem a lot more challenging, this one being another. Saw the cache and had to use my contortion skills to get to cache. Tftc
Out for a days caching in an area where I hadn’t been for some time.
Parking at the nearby sporting fields I was soon on GZ thinking this type of hide is so typical of this area. I love all these books and cracks where I have found many a cache.
This one was soon in hand and I was off to search for next one.

No, there are two reasons for us going here. 1. To search for a cache, and 2. Because it is in the bush, we get some exercise. Rules for cachers: don't always believe what people have written in their logs. Now, back to this cache. It was easy enough to slide down into the narrow abyss. A bit harder to retrieve the cache. A lot harder to get out of the abyss. Slow and steady crawl out. Fun. TFTC and the nice walk and bringing us to a place with some nice overhangs nearby.
It's all about conquering fears and I don't like tight places, but log signed and I'm out of here. Also worth noting, don't come here if you have a fear of balls.
Canary did all the dirty work on this one, I just came along for the ride after I heard him call those wonderful words, 'found it!'.
My highlight of today was accessing the cache here!
The GPS wandered a bit at the bottom of the cliff so I ascended to get a better lock on where GZ was. While there I spotted a suspicious spot half way down. Stupidly I investigated it on my own as Rainbow Spirit couldn't hear me as I made the find and called him over!?!
A fun cache.

Been out of touch with medium to hard caches of late due to injury and old age. However, after finding Two to Tangle had to get this one. Found GZ easily enough but did not read the description correctly. So I went where I thought it would be. Then read the description again. Hmmmm Went into the abyss and located the cache. So this was the main target of my 50th birthday cache fest - I already had it flagged to do, then got a message from the Hancock Clan suggesting it for the occasion as well!
I do however have to disagree with you on one thing raindoctor - this area is just stunning and well worth a visit cache or no cache! Its such an underrated area of Sydney bushland and doesn't get half the visitors it deserves (this may actually be a good thing, now that I think of it).
But to the cache. The darling wife and I spread out to search for appropriate spots, and quickly converged on the same area from different sides. Yep, that certainly looks promising. I quickly obtained my own birthday nirvana - squeezed into a dark and dirty hole, shared with god knows what, trying to extricate an ammo can. Unfortunately I won't post a photo as it would be too much of a spoiler, but lets just say I'm grinning from ear to ear.
As the birthday card said "Old enough to know better, but young enough to do it anyway".

Loved this one! It was a nice walk from 'Platypus' along a track most of the way, which made a pleasant change, as I'd been bushbashing for the last hour or so. Once at GZ I had a quick scout around and spotted a very cool place for a cache but wasn't sure if that was where it would be hidden. One could only hope...
So in I went anyway, all alone in the bush, not knowing if I would be able to return without assistance. In addition, I was having flashbacks from when I last entered a place like this only to come face to face with a tiger snake in the strike position! But the lure of a hide like this was way too much to think of getting stuck or being attacked by anything; I was delving into the deep within seconds of arriving at GZ. In fact, I eagerly went straight past the cache to start with wondering if I was in the right place, how far I needed to go, and how far my beer belly would let me go! Thankfully I disturbed the hide and located the nicely hidden ammo can before going in too deep! A super location for a cache!
Thanks raindoctor for a fantastic hide!
Cheers,

Why else would we be here indeed! The day after this was published I was tempted to have a go at finding this before work. After my experience today, I'm glad I didn't. I left the area covered in sand, dirt, leaves, twigs and who knows what else!
I thought i had searched every nook and cranny along the cliff until I searched in a direction i had earlier dismissed, and found a very likely place knowing the typical rain doctor cache hide. And yet i couldn't find anything but giant mosquitoes. I eventually got a PAF out which confirmed i looked in the right place, just not far enough.
Back i went and found the cache, took the geocoin, then went back to my car, eager for a shower!
Thanks for the cache.

I'm logging the geocoin i found in the cache, as its been marked as missing since 2013!
Always great to see a new cache out in Georges River Reserve. We straight lined it to GZ crossing over 2 paths (not sure where the second one led). Little bit of a bush bash but not too bad. At GZ we were lucky to spot the hidey hole quite quickly. Excellent place with a fitting clue. RR1 descended for the hunt while I took some compromising photos from behind. After a while came a call from the abyss 'It's not here!' Well turns out it was there. In fact she was resting her elbow on it. An excellent hide- seems like it was made for a geocache. After returning out of GZ backwards holding the geocache, RR1 sat red faced and swearing while I signed the log and returned it to it's spot. Think the mosquitoes around GZ have been pumping iron. Luckily they were the fly at you, but not bite you kind! TFTC raindoctor- fav for us.
Today we decided to do some of these caches that take a bit of effort to burn some of the chocolates we have been munching on. We manage to do Slide, Tooling around, Honey Combe, flight flight or fall plane crash and a couple of others , so we wer ready to go home. However a notification came and we couldn't resist on giving it a go. We were all over the cliff and eventually located a very well hidden container. As it was it was worth the extra as we were to find a blank book so a [*FTF*] was claimed. TNSL TFTC
