What an amazing national park! Our original itenarary didnt have any allowance to visiring this area. After ome of our station stays decided to close it allowed us to spend two nights at the national park. I cant wait to return to continue to explore the area. This fence is very valuable to help protect the amazimg fauna thru out the park
OCW PelDroedGwin Heading south, towing the caravan with geopets in the car. Pulled over at the noisy fence.Picked up a TB.Tftc
Thanks The Walshes and Mr Scott!! This was a great place to stop! Well done Rex for keeping those cats out.
After Shell Beach it was a short "drive" and walk to this cache. We heard Rex barking and found it quickly.#275
While at Shelly Beach a quick walk here was in order. Love to hear the dog bark. Had to widen my search a little but it was obvious in the end.All is in good order and thanks Darren Scott for another LGA.
TFTCMy second time in this corner of the world and I finally got around to go look for this!
TFTC - wrong side if the fence so had to walk around. Nice find on our way to Cape Peron.
We set the woofing off and our geohound went ballistic trying to figure out where the dog was haha. Cache in good order. Tftc
On our Australian trip . After started for some days in Darwin we are on the road to Perth now .On the Road after Katherine we have seen Edith Falls, Kunnurra and Bungles Bungle. Finally we cross the Pentecost-river to enter the Gibb RiverRoad . A lot to see like Emma Falls, El Questro, Mitchel Falls, Manning Gorge, Galvans Gorge, Bell Gorge, Tunnel Creek and Windjana Gorge .Now return on the sealed road again . Further over Derby, Broome, Port Hedland, Karratha, Karijini NP, Exmouth and now down the coast to Perth .After Coral Bay and Carnarvan we headed further on the road and stopped for this one .Ups... very scared about Rex . But found the obvious cache .TFTC# 17'272
Found at 2:51 PM GAFF1.Wonder if this fence is going to work better than the previous rabbit/dingo fences? We have been through a lot of the country recently and followed part of the original rabbit fence in the wheatbelt district - not much left of it that's for sure! Thanks to Darren Scott
These dog noises are a novel idea, and great to have the protective fence. There was an awful smell there though, we suspect something died nearby. TFTC
TFTC! Placed a trackable in! Trackable originated from Germany and wants to travel Australia until 2027. We brought it up from Perth, safe travels!
Stopped off on our way out of Denham to upset Rex!! Very annoyed to be disturbed. Cache found log signed and all replaced. Container was OK log dry inspite of recent rain Cheers Lead n Lace
Found this cache whilst on our two month adventure throughout central Australia and remote parts of WA.Stopped here for a quick find after checking out Shell BeachThanks to all the COs for adding to our adventure. TFTC
Sheesh...!! It wasn't a smart idea to park on the wrong side of the fence and take twice as long.. A quick find at least. TFTC Darren Scott.
A caching trip from Canberra, ACT to Cape York, Qld and then around the gulf to East Arnhem Land, NT then over the top of WA to Perth.Interesting detours to Thursday Island, Mabuiag Island, Mornington Island, Doomadgee, Hells Gate, Nhulunbuy, Wadeye, Litchfield Nat Park, Wyndham and the Gibb River Road.TFTC.Nice one. Rex made jump.
Oh my!... I had read about the barking dog but it still caught me off guard and made me jump! Walking back to the car a passing car set it off, but I was prepared this time. Thanks for the cache!
On our travels we stopped to grab this cache, thanks goodness Rex was all bark no bite, thanks for placing this fun cache
Tftc nice and quick drive by. Currently holidaying on the Coral Coast from the opposite side of Oz. Barrington Coast.
Found with e.gregory1 on a trip from Adelaide to north-western Western Australia for a little over four weeks. We spent three nights on the Steep Point/Carrarang and Peron Peninsulas, staying at Shelter Bay for a night and Big Lagoon in Francois Peron National Park for the following two nights. Enjoyed visiting this scenic area finding a variety of caches around Denham, out to Cape Peron and across to Monkey Mia. Thanks for the cache Darren Scott!
Found on a trip to Western Australia from Adelaide with FeatherWaite. After camping out near Steep Point, we made our way around to Francois Peron National Park, finding caches along the way.I spent a lot of time around Shark Bay for both work and recreation during the 1990s and it is still one of my favourite areas of Australia. The cache was a quick find and is in good condition. Thanks Darren Scott for the cache.
Thanks for the scare. I am petrified of dogs and almost fell into the fence . TFTC I guess
Ive seen dog fences before but Ive never heard one barking at me!An easy find.SL TNLN TFTC Awarding a favourite point for the fence.
Pulled over on one side of the road and glad the cache was on the other side of the road because I could smell something dead near the car. Had a laugh when a pole barked at me when I passed by. Tftc
Found this one after visiting shell beach. This weather made a lot of flies come into the area.
We had come in to Shark Bay a couple of days ago to see the dolphins, totally ignorant of Rex That was rectified today, when we listened to him and praised him, but also teased him a bit and encouraged a few extra barks The box was found and the log signed in no time and we will have fond memories of meeting Rex up in Shark Bay Favourite point awarded!
I was a little startled and irritated when I heard the barking, but that didn't stop me from leaving an entry in the logbook.
The barking sign caught me off guard a few times signed the log! I never understand with these fences how the animals don't cross over on the road
Heading from Kalbarri to monkey mia with emukka and stopping at some caches along the way. Nice quick find, tftc! I liked the barking fence
This is a pretty cool fence. We were walking across the crossing and I said wonder when it will bark and if on que it started to bark. The cache was a nice quick find. Thanks for placing

What a great fence! It was good to have a chat with Rex too, what a good boy.
Haha the dog bark is so cool. Thanks for showing us this place which we would have otherwise thought was just another cattle grid. All in good condition. TFTC
An impressive structure . Cache easy to find without rummaging around in bushes . Giving a fav. for the response of my wife as we crossed over the grid and passed the sensor. Tftc
Heading to Monkey for a quick trip so picking up a few vacates along the way. I hadn’t read far enough about The so got a good laugh when passing by to the cache which was an easy find. We completed the signing duties and re hid. TFTC
Great find kids walked past the post and the barking scared the bejesus out of them aha
Goodness! Would never have known about the barking if we hadn't stopped here for this! Tftc
Haha.. made it to the cache but the wrong side... then woof woof woof... scared the crap out of me haha. FP because I'll always remember that.

Went to the moon on the way and ended up in shark bay.
Went to the moon on the way and ended up in shark bay.
We parked just past the cattle grid and I walked back to GZ but was on the wrong side of the fence. Turns out there's a motion sensor at the grid that sets off a recording of a barking dog. Scared the willies out of me!

Woof woof - hilarious! And - quick find at this time of day. Also an impressive fence Rex! Stunning coastline and history. The trip is making me think about re-imagining Australian history - Noticeably there’s no mention of the Captain Cook !!! In Denham for a few days with plenty of time to explore on trusty treadles and appreciate another AUS World Heritage site. Have travelled WEST from home base 4200 km away and that includes altitude as well so enjoying the landscape and habitat changes of this BIG country. TFTC and the lure to visit. A fave for the FUN!
Rex was a little agitated as we walked past as a feral escaped to the gz to be removed.
Head North, not sure how far we will go.
It's a beautiful area and we will visit again.

Today we made our way from Denham to Carnarvon. As there is not much sightseeing on the way, we just stopped for some caches...
This was our first stopp; when we passed the grid to look for the cache I was shocked as the fence suddenly began to bark; I thought a dog was behind me. After that scary moment we could find the box quickly.
Thanks for the cache and regards from Switzerland.

Ha Ha, what a laugh to meet Rex, amazing what a geocache can teach you about the local geography and fauna, such a fun spot, TFTC The Walshes, Barry Scott local maintainer
On the way from Coral Bay to Monkey Mia we found this cache between bones Good hint, Rex is in action TFTC and greetings from Switzerland
Good find TFTC. Easy enough but no service out there so screen shot the details, but still found it in 2 mins without it.
This is day 3 of my Exmouth trip and today I'm heading from Kalbarri to Denham ! On a windy, but beautiful day I'm collecting many caches on my way north - such as several Traditionals and Earthcaches - 1 Virtual was also part of the list . Thanks for giving me so many opportunities to pause my journey.....

New to Geocaching and loved this one especially. Loving finding out these things like the dog bark. Kids loved it. Thank you!!
Cool spot, would not of heard the dog fence if we didnt stop for the search... awesome
Catching up on some late logs, now that I have time, while travelling.
We are on the road travelling up through central Australian and down the coast of WA. I was happy to grab a few caches along the way and this was one of them.
Hubby loved Rex and kept him barking. I made a quick find at GZ. Now have to go and watch the movie of Rabbit Proof Fence, as it will mean more now.
Thanks for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.
