2 dnf's in quick succession. I'm pretty sure I read in the right place but no sign of the cache and the kids were getting grumpy so we're gave up.
Day 3 of our New Zealand trip 2019.
We have visited the waterfall and the huge Kauri trees. And have searched some caches in parallel.

Was walking too quickly for my GPS to keep up, was half way over the bridge by the time it caught up. Turned around, quick look, piece of cake!
1430Hr on 7 April 2019. *Log is full!* Sorry, didn't have any spare paper.

Having done the walk around the falls, we came here. Initially Viv's phone took her to the wrong end and we queried the terrain rating! After an unsuccessful search the phone decided it was the other end and the terrain rating was fine, a quick stretch and the cache was in hand.

With Lemmer in New Zealand at amazing caches. Thank you for showing all that beautiful places. flatrate
Took me a little while to find as I didn't want to stick my hands in unseen places, fortunately it was in the first place I tried once I built up the courage. TFTC
Well what a great Christmas New Years we have had so far it all started off in Friendly Feilding have Christmas lunch with the family then next day Boxing day off to Danniverke for a weeks holiday together so special first holiday with the Grandson hes only 7 months old, then we didn't know what or where to go next so ended up going to Napier and then across the Napier Taupo road got a cache and a trackable, not easy to stop all the time with a large caravan on the back. We finally got to Taupo and said where to now so we kept going and then we got a text message some plans next week had been transferred to the end of January so we could go away for an extra week. We ended up in Walton Gold course for two nights to finish off the Kiwi and another puzzle series got 46 caches in total some were traditionals as well, got that sorted and then headed off today decided we would do the Route 66 trail and Smilie trail so we ended up in Orewa so we are here for a few nights. We set off this morning and completed the Route 66 series had some lunch about 1.30pm then we decided to get some more traditionals in the area and then slowly head off to get some smilie series caches. once we were back to our accommodation had some tea we decided to go for a walk along the beach front and get a couple of caches. next day we headed towards Whangarei got settled into our accommodation then decided to go get a cache or two this is cache number 10 for the day. a nice quick grab for us today, looks like some people come stay here sometimes or forget their items from time to time. signed the log and placed the cache back exactly where we found it. TFTC.
#3829 On the way to the camping. Thanks for the cache, greetings from Czech Republic.
Today we had our second day in Whangarei, thereby visiting many locations in the town and near the road and looking for caches, too. On this trip we searched, found and logged a lot of caches. The weather was good all day long with only partly some dark clouds.
Almost no muggels observed us as they had other things to do than observing harmless geocachers.
Thanks to 'ashanater1' for showing us this location and for the fun we had at 'Pipe down under (whangarei)'. The search we had here today didn't take too much time.
Greetings from Germany and hope to see you soon in the forest.

Found this Cache on my morning walk after staying at Whangarei Falls on our way up north.
This buddy took me a second try.. I first have been on the wrong side.. This time a quick find! I picked up a few empty spray cans. Thanks to the owner! Fitzfatz-Team
TFTC... retrieved this easy one after walking the loop at Whangarei Falls.
A nice bit of "artwork" on the pipe. Log nice and dry with plenty room on the log.

Stopped at the bridge to grab this cache and funnily enough bumped into a family of geocachers! So joined forces and looked for his one together. GPS wanted me in the middle of the bridge and initially looked on the wrong side of the river, but after walking around to the other side, the cache was soon found. TFTC!
since GZ is in the middle of the bridge we found it with the hint and geosenses .

A quick find today while Kath was looking at the view at the top of the falls. The cache was well concealed and forced me to go a step further - putting my hand where I don't like to put it (I have a fear of spiders). At any rate - SL and replaced it as and where found. Thanks to ashanater1 for the cache
Perfect spot to start caching today.
mmmmike and me really liked the little walk around the pond. Very peaceful. We even went a little further along the water. What strikes me most at the moment is the "colourful" sounds of the different birds. Feels like being in a jungle... But the reason ist just that it lets us realize how "poor" the sound is back in Europe...
Thanks for the cache!

Thanks for the cache!
At the Post CITO-event today, the great auk and his mom invited me to stay overnight at their house. I was really happy for that, and that also meant that I could go geocaching all day with the great auk. We drove to Wellington Bay, another beautiful beach, where we also placed a new cache. We finished off with a great night-cache in town, where we saw thousands of glowworms, what a great day!!!
About this cache:
The great auk said this is a park and grab, so we stopped for this one quickly. Good thing he helped me in the search, otherwise I would have spent ages here. Tftc, greetings from Norway

We strolled over from the top of the falls. Being the tallest of two shorties, it was a stretch to grab it. TFTC.
The kids and I had just been at thegreatauck's event. I wanted to spend the afternoon grabbing a few caches before heading to Dargaville for a family birthday party. There weren't many places I thought this could be hidden given the hint but it took a little while to spot. We then headed off to the falls for a lovely walk, TFTC
(2671) In the area, so stop and grab this one. Found quickly, signed the log and returned before any muggles appeared. TFTC
Was this a suitable cache to find at 8.30pm at night... probably not. but quick find and out.
Just got home from an event and saw this closer one recently published in the emails, so had to try for a FTF. Jumped back in the car and headed off to one of my favourite areas. Luckily no muggles around GZ today, so with the good clue, cache was a quick find. And yay, log is still blank, so FTF # 5 for me.
