No ghouls, just a scary dark hole to reach into the depths of.
Sensational day to be wandering these hills!

Catching up on some old draft logs. After dropping some steel off for galvanising in Gundagai, I toured the surrounding region hunting for caches. TFTC.
Last of our finds while walking and waiting to swap with the rest of the family on the bikes. Great feature to use! TFTC. Enjoyed the geocaching then had a ball on the bike with geogirl. Only downside was being swooped by magpies multiple times on the ride back to the cabin!
Done a health check and replaced a very sodden log sheet Thanks for the heads up Tankengine
Don’t you hate those morning when you have time to finally sleep in, but your body just doesn’t want to?!
So while finishing off breakfast, a last minute decision which blossomed from a passing comment that there were ftfs still available in Tumut and we were on the road.
It was a grey, chilly day, but we ticked a few boxes - ftfs, clearing out Tumut and clearing out Gundagai too. And although the weather wasn’t the best we had a great time.
This cache: We headed to this one down the hill, over the creek, then back up a hill and as we got to GZ we had to out wait a bike rider who passed slowly by. We disturbed the spiders home getting the cache out, but he didn’t seem to mind too much. The log was a little wet, but still able to sign with the space pen. Tftc The Emongs!!!

I got off from work a little earlier today and we decided to take a walk through the forest. We really enjoyed the trail to this cache. Thanks for placing a cache here for us to find!

Drove to Tumut to catch up with Pprass, to tackle a few a the tough caches in the area.
Gave Pete's geo-rover a good work out, climbing the hills (luxury bush bashing).
Left all caches in good condition, thanks for a great day out.
Many thanks for placing this cache, The Emongs, for us and others to find.

Found at 2:16 PM GAFF5 in the company of The Drovers.
I walked up to this cache with Mrs Drover and it took us no time to walk the 174 metres to the cache - it actually felt as though we took longer to find the actual cache than it did to get there!
Thanks The Emongs.

Day two of my journey of collecting caches and the original plan was to collect a few around Yass and then head to Tumut (via Gundagai) and do a lot more there, but I enjoyed the ones I started that I spent a lot more time around the former town. Had very little luck in Gundagai (it was tourist central) and had quite a few DNFs (or did not stops) but still cracked 50 for the day (all trads as I had no luck on multis today).
Down the gully again and along the track and then wandered to the wrong stump before turning back and finding the cache quickly. Logged and returned as found.

This was the 3rd geocache we found on our walk in the bush, so beautiful up here. Tftc
Found in the obvious spot on the furthest point of my Tumut walk this evening. Peaceful spot. Now to complete the circuit. Thanks.
Tumut invasion trip May 2019. A local Canberra group decided to head up to Tumut for a weekend of caching and meeting and greeting. Several groups were out and about over the weekend and we all had a great time despite a bit of wetness and a bit of cold, which was to be expected. Day two I joined up with Fitzy_1965 for a few town area caches and then up into the local forest for a few more in the morning. The afternoon was time for a few DNFs from a trip a few years ago. We had to try a few tracks before we found ones that took us to these caches.
Thanks.

Day 2 of our invasion of Tumut saw us packing up camp before heading out for a full day of caching.
Teamed up with Albida33 for the most part of the day before we headed home.
Quick find here today

18,154. Found with minniek and albida during the Tumut Invasion.
The invasion was on and this was one of the few caches I had up for grabs. Next one for the day, and after hitching a lift with albida up we went for this fantastic cache. What a fun adventure driving up and down around here for several caches - taking many trails until we sorted out the right ones. This was an awesome addition to the series up here.
Thanks The Emongs !!

A wander around the hills today,
to find a few caches along the way
A ghostly gum was found, I think.
Should a ghostly gum be white or pink ??
Cache found without any mountain bike muggles around

After arriving in Tumut I had a couple of spare hours so headed out to do some caches on the west side of town. TFTC.
The Trails maps again brought us close to this cache, then a short walk led us to GZ where the cleverly hidden cache was soon found.
A lovely afternoon to be outside, and a few caches to add to the enjoyment.
Thank you for a new cache in Tumut.

Just missed the FTF today as team Denmar beat us to it, however the cache was a suitable reward for the long hike. Found with Jack Finder. Some insider local knowledge of the multitude of tracks and trails that crisscross this area was extremely useful and much appreciated. Thanks once again Emongs.
