Today is all about relocating from Blenheim to Christchurch. The plan is to stop every twenty minutes or so to see if I can find a cache. Of course, I will skip some stops if it is all taking too long. It was all quiet when I arrived at this site and I would be surprised if anybody was playing spot the geocacher.
On a road trip with Net61 exploring Kaikoura and finding as many caches as we can. A quick detour off the main road to Wharanu station and we soon had the cache located. TFTC
Took the dog to the beach for a look then we grabbed this on the way out. Didn't take too long but nearly poked my eye out.
**20,342**A nice quick find at GZ - fine but super blustery day here! Water looks inviting. TFTC
Finally things lined up, the weather, a day off, and no urgent chores around the house. Buzz, buzz, buzz to Kekerengu it is. Easy find here once the random guy in a hi-viz was out of view. I thought maybe he was another cacher, as he moved his vehicle closer to the hide after I rode off.
Heading down to Christchurch for the weekend. Had time to grab a few caches on the way. Managed 10 caches all close to the road. Quick stop, find, sign and off again. Thanks for the history and a smiley
On my way to Timaru stop to take are break went looking for geocach found it with help from Muzza221
Mr C is taking the motorhome with our cat Coco from Kekerengu to Ward beach. Mrs C is in Suzy getting a few caches on the way. Another clever hide here, fav from us. Interesting to see the container village. Thanks for this cache Seagnoid.
GPS was a bit slow so we had gone past it before we realised. Knew what we were looking for so a nice easy find after the waist high grass.
After parking the snail shell up in Kaikoura it was time to visit all those caches I saw on the way south and couldn't stop at.
On my way back now to do the sea side of the road caches. This was the first one.
Cheers for the cache.

After two weeks in the South Inland we are heading home. Stayed the night in Kaikoura, quick park and grab another rail cache on our to Picton. Thanks the Seagnoid for the cache
Back on the Mainland, caching south with the wagging tails, in Van.
Happy New Year, and happy caching TFTC

Thanks the Seagnoid for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*
Good job on the solid containers!

One of four caches found today during a drive from Kaikoura to the ferry at Picton. Detoured down this side road for a quick gander at the beach. Very picturesque setting! Picked up this cache on the way back out. A quick find. #3508. TFTC.
A quick find spotted From a Distance didn't think it was going to be that easy. Thanks for the Cache
Thanks for taking us here and telling us about the history of the train station, very interesting. Both container and logbook were in good condition. Lots of toys to choose from as well, and hard choice to let something in the cache as well. Thanks for the maintenance.
A quick find here on my way back from having a look at the beach. great little side trip thanks.
(# 5975). Day 2 of my South Island odyssey. Today is getting caches from Blenheim to Kaikoura. The weather was decidedly average with mainly light drizzle interrupted by heavy rain. It's the first time I have driven along the coast since the earthquake. I can now appreciate the carnage that occurred. Even how much the seabed rose around Kaikoura. A quick find. Everything in order. TFTC
I'm catching up on my logging which seemed to have stalled even though we have been in lockdown, my excuse is that I have been working throughout.
Found on our Southward leg of the road trip.
This started out as a Geocaching road trip to Invercargill to drop off some stuff for the niece and collect some other stuff for Mrs banian. It turned into a bit of a race back to Wellington to beat the Covid-19 lockdown.
We were able to rebook our Ashburton accommodation and ferry ticket to earlier in the week. When we arrived in Picton the vehicle queue was almost a kilometre long, and got longer behind us. Fortunately, as we had tickets we were still able to get on our sailing.
TFTC the Seagnoid.
#7754. I have a meeting in Blenheim next week so decided to add a few extra days to the trip and rent a car so I can pick up the Marlborough TMGT caches. So flew over early on Saturday morning and heading south today to do the Kaikoura section of the tour. Its a nice day but lots of fog and haze around. Decided to do a few caches heading south to break up the trip. Having done the nearby cache down at the beach and had some lunch it was time to head south again. But stopped here to pick up this one as I drove past. The nearby houses had windows open and people moving around but if anyone noticed me they probably already have discovered why strange random cars park here and people trot off to visit the tree. Nice quick find of a familiar cache container. Signed the logbook and returned the cache where found. Thanks the Seagnoid for the cache.
Headed down to Kaikoura today, on the way there I concentrated on caches on the left side of the road. No worries here. TFTC
Toby, The Seagnoid and I are off exploring to Kaikoura again today. Its an easy day of mostly P&Gs as tS is the walking wounded at the moment and not walking much but can play navigator on this trip. So lets go! Wharanui is the first stop on our way. A quick snag and tag here before heading to the beach. Cheers
A quick find short before got almost stuck in the sandy beach, even with a real 4by4. But the local experts helped with some really god tips. TFTC
Day has gotten a tad manky. At last one brilliant sunshine now it's claggy and grey. Nice easy find though.
Only a quick diversion from the road to find. This one was quite quick. Nice concealment though. Find #532
I had originally planned a 2 day overnight caching road trip but some family commitments intervened which shortened my plan to a 1 (long) day road trip instead. I aimed for the east coast south of Blenheim and went for it. Although the weather on the day started out a bit grim and grey, it brightened up as the day wore on and I had a great time finding 40+ caches along the way. Another interesting listing and cache in this series. TFTC, Biggles,
We had today a stop at the seashore and also a short one at the old place of this historic place. Story was interesting. Thx
I'm from Switzerland and spend 4 months in New Zealand on vacation. Found this cache after a few minutes search, thanks.
On the final leg of my road trip on the way home! A few more fitted into the day! This must be a fav toilet stop for some judging by the content under the tree and the number of flies TFTC!!
13 January 2019 12:51 PM. Now fed, ethness and I are back on track with the rail trail. Quickly found, now heading north again, no time to be stationary! Tftc
Out and about on a road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find TFTC.
Thank for the history on this location. Our trackable train from Australia enjoyed the visit. TFTC
Getting used to these containers now, I know what I'm looking for.
An awesome Molesworth Mission trip with Karma Reprint and The Wanglers (signed as K2T), day three today was from Seddon back home to Canterbury via Kaikoura. Thanks the Seagnoid for the cache, 124 of 132 for the trip. Cheers

A plan was hatched and the plan set into motion, Kiwi Moose and Karma Reprint asked me if I'd like to join them on a Mad Marvelous Molesworth Mission... I asked them to give me a day or two to get back to them. I was able to get the Cachelets sorted so I was on like Donkey Kong.
Day 1: Boys picked me up and we headed to Hanmer for a cache or two and some mean as burgers for dinner. Popped over the Hill and camped at the Acheron DOC campsite. Enjoyed the many stars, we would have enjoyed more if we were on the other side of the trees, doh!
Day 2: Up and at em nice and early and cached our way to the coast. Weather was good with a bit of patchy rain. Spotted the the High Country Flying Club hooning up the valley, we saw 10 or so light aircraft. We were stopped at the Wards Pass by the Molesworth Station Manager Jim and had a sausage and a cuppa while we waited for the mob of 1000 head of cattle to wander up the pass. Great yarns were told by Jim. We decided on a camp site but it was crap and we headed into Seddon for the night at the Awatere Motor Camp.. that was interesting.
Day 3: Worked our way home via the coast and a few side trips. KM's vehicle had started acting up so we nursed her home and got home just after 5pm.
Great company, great fun and a few caches were ticked off the ol' list.
We signed the log as K2T (Kiwi Moose, Karma Reprint and TheWanglers)
Thanks for the cache the Seagnoid.

A quick easy find. There was a considerable amount of equipment on the railway lines today. TFTC
It is handy to know that the locals are aware of the cache. We are not sure if they were aware of us as cachers.
Thanks.
Thanks.
The locals must wonder why all these people stop at the railway line and not go on down to the coast - perhaps they've been for a look see.
+ a marble, - nothing.

What an interesting spot with a lot of history. Thanks for placing this cache & the research. Clever cache.
Found with StreetWalker as we head home from Blenheim to Christchurch after an enjoyable long weekend.
A busy depot here and another wee detour for another Marlborough rail cache. TFTC.

At least one guy in a truck could spot the geocacher, otherwise nobody around today. A quick find, TFTC
I took my youngest son up to Wellington in the camper van. I dropped him off at his friend's house where he will stay. Meanwhile I get to geocache and be on standby.
After staying at Greytown and spending another day in the Wairarapa, it was time to head to The Hutt area.
Son number two got dropped off at the airport. Hubby got picked up.
I needed to get the Camper's clutch checked out at Miro Auto Repairs. Once we got the all clear it was time to continue our adventure.
We stayed at Spring Grove last night and are now on the road home.
Time for morning tea.

First cache of our first journey down the coast road after the earthquake. Tftc
Good to find another on this trail. In November I did a couple on the way to Picton. Cache in good shape. Thanks for the hide.
Sveppi and I are just driving around killing time until we meet our group at Clarence River Rafting around 2.30PM. After nearly getting stranded exploring a side-road just for the hell of it, we come back to the SH1 and look for a spot for lunch. We grab this cache on the way in to the beach access road, where we eat out of the back of the car. It's very hot and sunny today so we don't spend too much time on the beach for fear of roasting!
Filling in time before we are off rafting later today. Needed a spot for lunch so decided to grab another in this series as an excuse. Good container. TFTC
A nice quick find, Cheers.
Yipee first day of the Christmas holidays, Time for the pilgrimage North.
Thanks to all of the COs for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

We watched some kids in a nearby paddock towing each other around using wee quad bikes, such fun. Once the log was signed we went to the nearby beach and had lunch = a great spot. Thanks for the cache
