Regrettably no opportunity to maintain this most excellent cache. Time for this one to end, thanks to all those who took the effort to find it. bye bye..!!
This is amazing walking along here and seeing all the rocks that have splits from top to bottom. Some of the rocks look like they are so close to toppling over the edge.
Why is there a trough here but not a cache??

With a couple of recent DNF’s, this one may be missing. Will endeavour to check in the next week or three.
Beautiful day in the gorge and the short walk down to the cache provided us with more great views.
The old trough was an interesting feature.
Cache found in good condition.
Thanks

Off on more adventures, this time around North East Tasmania.
Day 1 started In Launceston with a visit to the harvest market and some Gin sampling, followed by a walk around city park.
A couple of caches in here as well as the monkey enclosure.. definitely do the Augmented reality cache.
Then it was a walk around the city and onto Cataract Gorge..lots of caches around here.
In the afternoon was a tour of Boags Brewery and then a few craft beers at Saint Johns bar...
Lots of caches collected today
A stunning walk along the Gorge... I left two trackables in this one which I picked up in Europe.
Thanks for the cache and the hide

My wife and I were out for a walk to the Gorge because that’s what all tourists do. In fact there was a sign on our hotel elevator wall that said, for a true Launie experience you have to walk to the Gorge for a once in a life time visit. The other thing was a visit to the Boags factory but I had already ticked that off the last time I was in town.
It might have been a decade ago but I will always remember the one bit of advice they gave us on the tour. The guide said, “Just remember that all Tasmanian beer is special and blessed - except Cascade beer - that sh*t is made in Hobart.”
Across the stream from GZ were a couple of crazies rock climbing just above the water. They had no shirt and were going up a rock which clearly had no purchase. We even got to see one fall, but they were harnessed in tight. We thought about where they had come from and the only thing we could assume was that they climbed all the way down just to go all the way back up. Nuftys! tftc

Found it on a leisurely wander with a dear friend. Nice and easy. TFTC. Lovely spot for a cache!
Found on a beautiful walk through the gorge, with Tim, Tam and Tanya. Thank you for the cache - and I never would have noticed the trough otherwise
Hubby spotted this one, in plain sight so we covered it with some nearby leaves. Thanks dankpig
Just too busy, every time I thought I could search someone come around the corner, people with prams People with bikes, cameras then a boat came up the gorge! Well okay the people on the boat couldn’t really see but you get the picture. Just as I have decided to file A did not find I went back one last time I got it!
No the rain has stopped it’s a high muggle traffic area. Had the Mrs on watch. Sun is out now. Perfect day. TFTC
Love the walk to the gorge. Perfect weather today. Visiting with hubby (BenFolds7) who is a first timer. Great to find this time as ran out of time when I was here before.

Getting away for a mountain biking trip with friends, we had planned on a holiday to Derby during 8-13/02/2022. For the most part, we spent our days MTB-ing Blue Derby (Black Stumps) trails, as well as riding Blue Tier Forest Reserve's trails, such as the upper section of Bay of Fires, Blue Tier and Atlas. There was an opportunity to find a few geocaches in Launceston before driving to Derby, and on our final day with our flight departure in the evening, we travelled back via Scottsdale and Lilydale, and visited a few spots around Launceston such as Cataract Gorge and Trevallyn Dam.
Today, with the majority of the group departing quite early back to Adelaide, it allowed a full day of heading back and checking out Launceston with our evening departure. We checked out Legerwood's awesome timber sculptures, before proceeding around Scottsdale and checking out a Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Other highlights including Tunnel's railway tunnel, and Lilydale waterfalls. After enjoying a Launceston bakery lunch, we then visited Cataract Gorge for a few hours (whilst completing *Launceston Cataract Gorge* Adventure Lab), walking along the gorge, and then proceeded to the lookout at Trevallyn Dam. Our final drive then took us to northern Launceston in Invermay, before checking out the City Park. A terrific day checking out this quiet Tasmanian city.
What an awesome gorge, and such a cool walkway along the cliff's edge. We took a walk all the way along to this location, before making a U-turn and returning back the same way. Once we arrived at GZ, the cache was a quick find, and the cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks dankpig for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Sad to be logging a cache here as there is a search going on for a missing swimmer which seems like more of a recovery operation than a rescue. Grateful to be here visiting family and healthy, out and about doing the odd geocache. TFTC
