Hi purpleneoncoconut
This geocache was brought to my attention as being in need of an owner maintenance visit and after my previous reviewer note, there has been no owner response. The cache owner needs to check on this cache ASAP and either replace it or archive it, after picking up any geo-litter. See the [maintenance section of the Geocache Listing Requirements/Guidelines](http://www.geocaching.com/about/guidelines.aspx#listingmaintenance).
I've added this cache to my watchlist, and I will check back in four weeks to be sure that the maintenance has been done. In the meantime, I have temporarily disabled this listing. When the maintenance is completed, the owner can enable the listing by clicking on the link below the cache name to return it to active status.
Whatever your intentions, please **post a note** here on the cache page (not email) to let us know that you are still active and maintaining the cache. If a month passes without seeing a response, then I'll assume that this listing should be archived.
Please note, that if a cache is archived due to lack of owner maintenance, the cache is unable to be unarchived.
Regards

Out and about this evening with YetiNZ, having bumped into him whilst chasing a FTF. He won that race, but still wanted a few caches more, so we teamed up to go look for some more.
He had previously found this cache, but graciously stopped as we were driving past to let me look for it. Sadly, neither of us could find it, so 99% sure this one has gone walkabout.

I had a really good look for this one with , but with no success. Given this was last found over a year ago, perhaps it has gone walkabout? KTG
Searched every nook and cranny of this rock with KTG and could not find anything at all. How sad. Thabks anyways
Was thrown off the difficulty level and took perhaps a harder route then necessary but found the cache in the end. Nicely tucked away spot! TFTC
A great day to get out and about a bit on our visit to Wellington. Quick find here. This should be firm safe place from the storms. TFTC
A nice little drive around the waterfront on a beautiful autumn day. A quick scramble up whilst the fur monsters took a quick dip. cache all in order. Thanks for bringing us here
Had a 4 hour stop over at Wellington Airport. Glad to find that I could leave my luggage in a locker for a small price $5 and head out for a couple of hours walking/caching. Walked over to Worser Bay and back. Tired legs by the end. Collected 6 caches and 1 DNF and 1 Trackable. I guess that’s less than a dollar per cache. A bargain! This took awhile to find as I was searching too high. Cache all fine. Thanks for the smiley.
With four rock scrambling grandkids and the intellect of my favourite chicken this finally was found and turned into a smiley face. With a dodgy knee and twinging hamstring I initially sent the scramblers up the wrong face of the eiger and didn't improve my body's condition. Little blue hen persevered with settling the phone's gps and said try there. Extracted myself from the position I'd got myself into and did as instructed. Grandson beat me to it.
Job done. Tftcsl

Not sure why bkj97 always assumed that the most appropriate route to a cache is the one that is the most physically challenging. Having commandeered the gps it wasn't hard to spot where he and the tribe of grandkids should have been looking. I have added a favourite for the entertainment value of watching bkj97 struggling up and back down the wrong part of the rock. T4tcsl
This morning I chose the difficult route and got gripped by the exposure. This afternoon, I made the assault by another face and, whilst I did not summit this time, the main difficult I faced was signing and returning before I became a meal for the local mosquitoes. TFTC.
Didn't have the right shoes so only looked in the places that weren't too precarious.
In Wgtn for a few days and we went for a drive around the peninsula and managed to grab a few caches on the way This was exactly as the hint said so it was quickly retrieved, balanced myself, and signed and replaced. descended and then took photos of the harbour . both directions .
all was well here. i took nothing and left nothing
thank you for this cache and lovely view.

Searched for a while on the wrong side of the rock, was about to give up then decided to give the opposite side a quick look. Spotted it immediately once i was in the right place, TFTC
Out with TharntheHalken. Started out going up the wrong side, soon figured mistake and tried again for a quick find. TFTC!
We've travelled up from Invercargill to escape the freezing weather and to enjoy a week of caching. Apart from the first couple of days where it rained nonstop, the weather has turned out amazing and I may even go home with a little sunburn! What a beautiful place this is round here! I'd imagine it would be packed in the summer. TFTC
I wanted to have a drive around here before we flew out. Amazing place, would hate to think what house prices would be? 1.5 million?
I have a 3 month sabbatical mostly traveling around the planet. My goal is to find and log 1000 caches. New Zealand is my 4th station traveling from south Christchurch to north Auckland, my first visit here, its far away. This is my sabbatical-cache #708.
Out having a drive today with my mum showing what cache is all about and enjoying the drive as well. A great place to hide. Tftc
Day 11 of our 5 week road trip in NZ. Visiting from Washington state. Started our day at the WETA cave. Then did a very nice scenic drive around the peninsula on this lovely day. TFTC
A campervan with sunbathing occupant was parked very close to GZ, but I decided to carry on as they appeared engrossed in a book. I initially clambered up the wrong side, then attempted the other (easier) ascent and found the cache straight away. Very glad I didn't have to try to get right to the top! TFTC purpleneoncoconut.
Day trip to Wellington with the family. After exploring the Brooklyn battery and turbine, we drove to Scorching Bay and had fish 'n' chips on the beach, then had a walk up to the Fort Ballance bunkers. Stopped to pick up this cache on the way back round the bays. Youngest son and I enjoyed a quick climb and then sat on the rocks to watch the Celebrity Solstice cruise ship sail by. TFTC
Great little hiding spot, not too hard to find when you know what you're looking for but unlikely to be stumbled upon by accident! TFTC
Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

Quick find on an Sunday afternoon trip around the Miramar peninsula. TFTC!
More mountain goat action, in fact the last one was just a warm up! Thanks for giving me a giggle whilst out caching with one of the Yeomanclan !
Found today on caching mission around the peninsula trying to build up my step count. Couldn’t find the other Day, it was more diligent today searching some spots I didn’t look or think the cache was hidden beforethis is a really cool place to chill for a bit, even saw the ferry cruise past. Will come back and show My 14 yr As I’m sure he’d like the scramble up and the view and spot to hangout. Tftc
Scrambled all over the rock with two kids and still couldn’t find it. Frustrating.
Thanks purpleneoncoconut for the cache. It’s #1055 for us. We found your cache on 19 May 2019. Quick stop and a quick climb!
Found with DVH on a lovely evening in the capital. Found this one by torchlight after taking the trickier (but more adventurous) route. TFTC.
Collecting caches in the Wellington area over a long weekend away.
A quick climb and a quick find.

As previously mentioned in another one of your cache logs, a good friend of mine and fellow geocacher, Demainiac, was in town having travelled up from the South Island for an event that we were both attending. Naturally, once that event had reached its conclusion, plans were made for the two of us to spend the evening out finding some caches. So after dinner, and after grabbing an additional friend who had no idea what he was getting himself into, we hit the road and decided to focus on a few caches around the coast line. So that is how we came to be looking for this particular cache on what was to become a dark and rather wet evening. By the time we got to look for this cache it was dark and we were into torch mode. Even though it was dark we were quite confident that we could make the climb safely... and after I went up one side, and Demainiac went up the other, he soon made the find. So the log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its spot all ready for the next finder. Thank you purpleneoncoconut for taking the time to set up this cache. We really appreciate your efforts in doing so. I am sure that during daylight hours the view would have been very cool
Found it on a bicycle-tour through the south of Wellington!
Thanks for the cache!

Quick find as exposed - Reset cache in the position I'm guessing it was supposed to be in.
Cache and Log Dry - Signed and left a long-time in hibernation trackable to head back on it's journey.
Thanks for the cache.

Today was supposed to be a day of multi's, but I had to drop my boss back to the airport early so I just hung around the eastern peninsula trying to grab as many as I could. The roads here are crazy!
There is no way to get from the inner loop of Miramar to the outer loop without going half way back to the airport, very odd indeed.
Saw the ferry go past on a really choppy day, I bet it wouldnt be pleasant crossing today

We stopped here to admire the view and of course visit the cache placed here. Reaching it was a bit of a scramble but we managed it okay and pleased to be signing the new log sheet.
Today we found Outcrop View (Wellington) on our travels.
We found this cache once we got the approach right. Signed the log as best as I could as it is quite damp.
Thanks purpleneoncoconut for being part of our geocaching fun.

After making a previous comment about 6 months ago saying I would try to check on this cache in the coming week, tonight I finally got around to it. Replaced the temporary logbook a previous cacher left in it as it was quite damp and also placed back into its original location.
No bag so all very wet in here but managed to sign - just Sorry I didn't have a spare log and bag TFTC
Eastern Bays Scouts found it after some scrambling around. Needs a pencil but we didn’t have one to leave - not prepared.
Nice easy find but be careful of loose rocks. Gorgeous day for caching and hope to pick up a few along here! TFTC.
I came out this way for a quick look after work. I was lucky that I decided to change into my jeans before I left the office or I might have given this one up in favour of something a little closer to the ground.
I enjoyed the view from GZ. It was nice to just sit there for a few minutes and look around at the scenery. Caches like this are the reason I enjoy this activity so much. That is, going to places that I wouldn't normally go to and seeing things from a different perspective.
The cache is in good condition. All nice and dry.
Thank you

Originally I went up the wrong side, and I'm glad I did. Great little spot, will have to come back one evening with a thermos of tea. TFTC!
With Merlot58, Jag50 & Aiden29 - our last day in town, after coming down for the Mega. I was completely on the wrong side, fortunately Merlot58 was more onto it. Tftc
With a group of fellow west Aucklanders Merlot58, Aiden29 and Bertie Blowfish To attend the MEGA and for a fun long Labour weekend’s caching. Thanks to all the cache owners for setting up and maintaining the caches. Sorry for cut and paste logs. Quick find when on the correct side.
I’m in the Windy City to attend the Wellington Mega with a few fellow Westies from Auckland. We’re having a great time as we explore the area collecting smileys as we go. Thanks for bringing us here, sorry for the copy and paste logs but am using a Cachly template to log as I go. Once we were on the right side it was a quick find
Just taking a short drive around the peninsular and grabbing as many of the caches we could after the MEGA weekend. This was the eighth and last one for the day. Caution has to be taken for the loose rocks. Thanks CO for the cache.
Down in the Capital for an extra long weekend before exams start, with Jag50, Merlot58 & Bertie Blowfish. We headed out this side of the city to be close to the airport for our flight back to Auckland. Initially we climbed up the wrong side, but then realised the error in our ways and soon located the cache.
Our last day in Wellington, we were here for the Wellington Mega Event. We have had a fantastic weekend, we have attended a heap of events, found a heap of caches and met some great like minded people.
We did not really have a plan for today other than to get one challenge cache in town and to be at the airport this evening.
So we thought we would just pick up a few traditionals as we made our way towards the airport.
We have never been in this area before so it was wonderful to drive around seeing the many pretty wee areas, we prefer areas such as this without the throngs of people.
We made this one much harder than it needed to be by going up the wrong side.
Thank you purpleneoncoconut for placing this cache and thank you for the smilie

In Wellington for the Mega. A nice quick find with Gadget169 on day 1 of our geocaching adventure. TFTC
A quick park and grab while up in Wellington for the mega with KJR. Was a nice and easy find on day 1 TFTC ?
I had a bit of time to spare between landing at the airport and heading to my hotel in the city to work so drove around to find a few caches. No real problems here. I had the right approach luckily and went straight to it. Log a bit damp but still usable. Dropped in a trackable. TFTC, Biggles.
It was raining when we arrived and we wondered if the climb might be a bit too slippery to attempt but fortunately there were no problems getting to the cache. Great views from here. TFTC.
