We found bits and pieces of what looked like a cache container and log sheet over the grass nearby to the GPS coordinates. See photo.

Looks like a very expensive gateway, too flash for the likes of us, so quickly made the find and then headed off - heading to Picton for our ferry crossing back to the sunny North Island! TFTC

Day 2 cyclocache ride around Blenheim. Found this as I headed back to Redwood. Mmmm, this aint a matchstick container these days! Description needs updating.
A great impressive entrance to this place. Happy to find cache all good here thanks capperz.
Just a family out Caching. Looks like a good drive and grab Caching trail. Nice easy find

Nice place to hide, I might advise to put some rocks on it to hide it better tho
Cache maintenance carried out on behalf of the CO. New RitR logsheet in plastic zip lock bag placed in cache container. Pieces of old log removed. Finders in the next few weeks need to be aware that there is a chick nesting right next to the cache. Scared the s#!t out of me...
Thanks to local Geocacher Kiwimykl for his work here as requested. Good to go again,
Nice find. Log is damp and ripped into several pieces. Need a new log in a plastic bag perhaps
Found it after a couple of minutes, log book is a bit wet and hard to write on, looking a bit faded too. May need a little bag inside. TfTC
Found in the morning prior to the lockdown announcement, which caused me to forget logging the find until now!!! TFTC
Was planning a foray up to Mt Vernon but the day has gotten away on me (which it tends to do when you've got children!), so I'll content myself with a forage along the lower echelons of them thar hills today and save the Big Kahuna for when I have a full day ahead of me and time to find all the caches on the way as well as complete the AdLab. TFTC capper, although the log is disintegrating.
The easiest of the cache to find on this road, cache dry and ready to be found. T4tc
Third time lucky. Thank you capperz for this cache.

Beautiful autumn colours! I parked in a suboptimal position so was pleased to get out of there quickly... only three cars came past! TFTC!!
Heading home to Nelson albeit via the side streets of Blenheim and Renwick.
I had a real sense of déjà vu with the caches along these roads. Either I found or never logged them or the location has been recycled. Either way it’s a smiley where there previously there was not.
I recall fossicking around these vines a few years back without success. Maybe they’ve been trimmed back now as everything fell into place for an immediate find today.
Thanks capperz

Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*

Stuck in Blenheim because of vehicle issues so lots of time to cache by foot or by bike. Today I decided to walk to Wither Hills Farm Park as I did yesterday but took a different route to collect some more smileys. Nice entrance for a walkway! Thanks
Bummer. I have run out of roof paint so its a trip to Blenheim to pick up some more. With our walk in Wither Hills done, I dropped Raphael off in Blenheim with friends for a couple of hours while I go caching. Stopped off here to get this one snagged. With my trusty gloves and handy dandy wipes got this one tagged and tucked back in. Cheers
#17528. This one too a little while (eventually Troodles found it on the ground). TFTC.
It's been a while since StreetWalkerNZ and I had a caching weekend away and finally the planets aligned (and the weather forecast was good) for this weekend, so we made plans for a trip to Blenheim. A successful day 1 with 36 cache finds (plus 5 lab caches) , and 3 DNFs .
Once we started searching, the entrance became Piccadilly Circus with a constant stream of cars, which makes surreptitious searching difficult. Pleased to finally spot the little blighter on a second pass - I had been searching too high on my first pass. Replacing the cache proved difficult as well, hope I didn't look too dodgy to the occupants of the car that suddenly appeared out of nowhere. TFTC.

Heading towards Picton this morning with a bit of time in hand so I decided to stop for a few easy caches. Another quick find here. Signed log, TFTC.
My third today on my geocache run, again forgot to bring a pen with me... might come back sometime to make it official. Thanks!
-Note for fellow cachers, this one isn’t accessible by skateboard (unless you are brave )

We had to disturb a whole bunch of poor little leaves from their resting places. The leaves crunched in annoyance as we kicked them aside. I found it, so yay!

Found amongst the grape vines by spacenarwhale (the last cache she was happy to look for today).
Thank you for the cache.
Thank you for the cache.
3rd find of the day. Nice quick cache. Wasn't to busy. When I was trying to fish it out I had the unnerving feeling I had my hand on a doggy dodo, SO glad it wasn't. TFTC
Inviting entrance way. Had to go down the drive past the lavender. Nice place to live. TFTC
Quick find this afternoon with eltee291 and coastalmartinis. Nice and quiet around here today, made searching comfortable! Signed the log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache, capperz!
Quickly found this afternoon with hingis20 and coastalmartinis. Gorgeous day to be out and about looking for caches. TFTC
A quick and easy find. Thanks
Day 2 of our drive to Auckland to catch up with family
Thanks to all CO's for placing and maintaining their caches. Cheers

It took us quite a while to find this cache, as our GPS took us to a wrong possible hint location. Once we moved closer to the road, the cache was a quick easy find. In between times, a lady who lived up the road came to check what we were up to, and was happy with our explanation, after which we had a long and pleasant conversation with her. TFTC
Took longer than we expected, easier than we expected, another smiley face thank you.
Our last few days on holiday, enjoying the sun, the caches.
Thanks to all the cache hiders. Many thanks.

Was driving past after finishing work a little earlier than usual, and it was quiet enough to pop in and make the grab while no-one was around. So quick find and replaced as found. Could not find a rock but is under natural camo. TFTC Capperz. PS: Pathtags are on their way .

We are nearing the end of the Hidden Creatures souvenir promotion and I have been a bit slack in my efforts to attain this batch of souvenirs probably because I feel it came too soon after the Planetary Pursuits challenge. Being in the middle of building a new house and the birth of Granddaughter No. 3 hasn't helped either. But today was too nice a day to spend in the office and the weather report for the rest of the week doesn't look that flash, so I made a spur of the moment decision and took the afternoon off in order to increase the number of Mythical Creatures souvenirs.
I'm under no illusion that I will get anywhere near the 100 finds required for all the souvenirs, but I did an online survey to see what type of cacher I am at the beginning of the challenge and discovered I'm a Gryphon, so it would be nice to make it that far. By the end of the day I had collected another 10 points to add to the 5 I already had which takes me as far as'Sphinx' so I only have to get another 5 to achieve my aim.
Today's efforts took me to the Wairau Lagoons, Seddon, Dry Hills Estate (here), the Grovetown Lagoon, the Wairau Bar and Rapaura. But first I did a cache check on a recently DNF'd cache and took the opportunity to place another cache in the Wineries of Marlborough series for publishing at a later date.
This cache and a couple of others in the Dry Hills Estate I had been saving when I was filling up my Dot Days but never needed. So after bypassing the CO's other cache back at the bend in Alabama Road due to construction activity taking place, I dropped in here to grab this cache. It was a QEF as I was present when NZDi found it earlier in the year. I then travelled up the road to get the Rock Garden cache, but there was a gardener in the garden so I bypassed it and the Check the Mapp cache further on.

With barely a start on the Hidden Creatures souvenirs (4/100) and only this weekend free to do it, we set off to Blenheim to see how many we could collect. I didnt think we would get to the World Turtle but was happy with whatever we brought home. We drove over last night so we could get a good start this morning. The plan was a drive out to Awatere Valley but we worked our way out of town first. A nice quick easy find here even though it was buried under alot of natural camo. A nice entrance way indeed. Thanks for your effort in placing this cache for everyone elses enjoyment. P.S: This cache also awards us with the Hidden Creatures: Gryphon souvenir.
All good when I was here. took a bit of a rummage to find it, but didn't take too long to grab. TFTC
I was definitely here at the best time of year, the leaves were so pretty. I have never been past this area before so it was great to have a day just to potter around exploring the neighbourhood. A nice quick find was made here, thank you for placing this cache
Picking up some supplies from mitre 10 for the next project, and time to grab a cache while nearby. TFTC
Found while out souvenir hunting with Kiwimykl this morning. He is saving this for his las Dot Day.

Mrs Sobad drove past this one on the way to the Rock Garden. Found a good parking spot on the way out and a quick find using the hint as she did feel conspicious. Noone went past in the short time she took to find, sign and return the cache.
Thanks.
Thanks.
