Thanks to my sister in law's keen eyes I found this one on my second visit to Norfolk island What a beautiful view. Thanks for the cache.
Got distracted by the gorgeous view, but this pair of newbies werent giving up. With OzRob, thanks for the adventure
GZ had us 2 metres over the cliff edge. Searched as close as we deemed safe but no luck today.
Nice view from the cliff edge making sure didnt get too close though!!Enjoying two weeks on Norfolk Island always wanted to visit, now Im here! And theres caches of course! Beautiful place, thank youSlow Puncture (LJCC) for placing this game piece here, showcasing this lovely area and contributing to this great game for myself and others to enjoy. Happy trails!
This one did take a little to find, as the phone was jumping around. Little bit damp inside, but emptied that out. CheersBundy
We spent a fun and productive week geocaching on Norfolk Island, as well as seeing the spectacular views. We also did several tours and other activities on offer, which highlighted different aspects of the island life and history. Thanks for this cache.
Found during a week of geocaching on Norfolk Island with GeoMates. It was a successful week and an adventurous one. Thanks go to Slow Puncture (LJCC) for placing this cache.
Found with Ris768 while travelling on Norfolk Island TFTCLog 3326Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache Slow Puncture (LJCC)
OCW frazeydaze. Took a little longer than expected. I wasn't expecting it to be that close to the cliff edge. Fortunately frazeydaze did the extra yards. Cache all good. SLRC as found. TFTC.
#7604 NI Day #4Having rounded up all the caches around the Cascades area earlier in the morning, it was time to work our way up the west coast. Followed the arrow to Cliff Edge (he is everywhere in these parts). Took some more snaps of the spectacular coastline and then spotted the container when we turned around.TFTC Slow Puncture (LJCC)
My buddies: bella at waggy & the 2079 couple We pulled up & walked in.. The cliff edge was really close to the cache. Had to watch out!Thank you Slow Puncture for creating & placing and to endeavour3 for maintaining this cache. I have enjoyed finding it and visiting this spot.Follow my story on Instagram @AlphaDeltaIndigo
As we headed north-west around the island for our evening event at Puppy's Point there was just time for one more cache along the route. We walked carefully to this GZ with the daylight diminishing. Lucky it wasn't raining or windy or you could end up down the hill here. This was easier terrain for me than the others though as I'm more vertically challenged so being a bit more flexible I was able to reach the cache without difficulty. With another successful find it was off to the event and hopefully a beautiful sunset.TFTC # 6037
Headed to the 100 acre wood area with ADI and headed to Rocky Point. Crossed paths with Crash and Harveyt a few times in this great forest before heading up the coast for more. A quick find. We completed the signing duties and re hid, TFTC
A great spot for daytime!! Great cache in great condition - thanks for placing it here
7474-Now this one is really very close to the cliffs and on such a blustery day, we were very careful being so close. The actual cache wasnt what we were expecting reading the hint, but I still spotted it easily, especially since it was larger than I expected. Thanks
My extensive wind-blown search was getting nowhere until MummyPenny mentioned a word she'd read and I turned to spot it instantly. Thanks Slow Puncture (LJCC),
Fossicking fruitless but cache found despite wind trying to remove us.Thanks Slow Puncture {LJCC)
?? Having an awesome time geocaching on NI with friends. My first organised Geotravel holiday. ?? TFTC Slow Puncture (LJCC)

#14385 15:50The second day of Geo Adventure 2024 with a group of 30+ geocachers visiting Norfolk Island. Roaming around the island for a few days, a smaller group decided to tackle some caches in the South West first.Together with 4Rods, Ziggau, Everest High, Tardis, Max Adventurer and Brewmaker this cache was found.Another great viewpoint close to the cliff edge. It was 4Rods who spotted the cache first.TFTC Slow Puncture
Stunning views from this location. I had a bit of trouble locating this , then I turned around and found it lying in the open in plain site. As I didn't know where it was supposed t obe, I've left it where it lay and covered it with 2 large sticks.
Day 5 of my Norfolk Island adventure. I can understand why people want to live here . Its a little bit of paradise. Wow so much history on the island, Im enjoying my wandering seeing the sites . Some logs signed as N2OThis is my 12108find.Thankyou Slow Puncture (LJCC) for placing and maintaining this cache
11th find for my 2023 NI trip! Had to wait for the mower man to be on his way, then fairly fast find, tftc!
T-Tech and I are visiting Norfolk Island for our 40th anniversary. We arrived from Brisbane and are staying for 2 weeks at Endeavour Lodge, and plan to get some R&R, see all of the sites, learn the history, and gather every cache here so we can claim the Se Dun Challenge Today we had a leisurely start with a visit to the Show followed by a wander through town and a coffee at our favourite cafe. The plan for the rest of the day is to visit Bombora Beach, Crystal Pool, 100 Acre Wood, Headstone Point and St Barnabas Church, gathering caches along the way.Took a bit to spot but in the end the hint was correct. TFTC, Slow Puncture.
Over with IolantheK from Brisbane celebrating our 40th wedding anniversary [^]Caching on Norfolk is starting to make me paranoid! Every time I park the car there are signs saying Beware of "Cliff Edge"!! I don't know who he is maybe an escaped convict [:o)]They even started posting a picture of him (see photo on this log) Certainly hope we don't come across him Nice easy find just a bit of a scramble, cache in good condition [^]TFTC Slow Puncture (kindly maintained by Endeavour3)

My wife and I spent a wonderful week on the Island - the first time for me (but hopefully not the last) and the second for her. Such a delightful place! I took my GPSr, with the traditionals downloaded (I don't really make the time to do puzzles or multis) and figured I would find a few as we went around the place. I never had any intention of finding all 41 of them, but somewhere around day 5 I realised it was actually feasible.
In the end it was a close call - one quite tough-to-get-to cache (Bird Island) I had to visit twice after not reading the description before my first visit and discovering it is really a multi and then stuffing up the calculations so I had an almost blind search for the cache; another (St Barnabas) was out of its hidey hole so took three visits before I found it among some fallen leaves nearby). But I got there and managed to claim them all.
In the interests of saving the limited data on my phone, I only look placeholder drafts during the week and am completing them back home, a month later. So with all due apologies, they are going to be pretty generic for the most part. But I will add comments about those that I particularly remember. No matter how detailed the final logs, I want to say a big thanks to those who have placed the caches and those who continue to maintain them. I had great fun finding them and they really helped make sure I saw as much of the Island as possible. So - a big and sincere TFTC

A nice little wander after first heading downhill. A bit of circling around needed here to get the right line of attack and perspective, but easy enough in the end.

Found this cache whilst visiting Norfolk Island geocaching style. Thanks for bringing us here and TFTC
This one took us a while and we were worried about the kids falling over the edge but miss Belle spotted it. We’re off to the next headstone cache now before visiting the playground. We’re a week into our holiday and if we keep this up we might just complete all the caches on the island.
What a lovely spot for a picnic. Enjoyed the view, which got more hairy closer to the GZ.
Took way to long to find but the hint, a big step backwards helped!!!
Dont get to close to the edge, it is very slippery!!

Our 2nd day on Norfolk Island, this quite a while to locate the cache, our GPS 's didn't want to settle down, eventually I saw it, relieved stamped log and replaced. Thanks to CO.
On 15 October 2022 a new batch of prisoners were shipped out of Brisbane to spend 7 days incarcerated on Norfolk Island. It has now been 4 nights and and countless days into their sentence at Ocean Breeze Cottages.
The cache blocking guards informed the caching prisoner that solo day release had been approved for this day.
The prisoner and a muggle a accomplice failed to locate this cache and well as failing to escape from this location several days earlier. Today armed with information passed on by long term prisoner E3 the cache was soon in hand. However one step backwards would have been certain death at this location.

Finally managed to grab this one without falling into the sea after a helpful nudge from cache maintainer. TFTC endeavour3.
Time to head to Norfolk Island to celabrate our 70th birthdays. When we were here before we were not geocachers, this visit will be spent gathering geocaches and revisiting our favourite places. Our appologies for the generic logs it does not take away the enjoyment we have found in the fantastic places they have been placed and all the different styles of caches that we are enjoying,

Norfolk Island and Sydney trip, Day 7, Norfolk Island, Hundred Acres Reserve and surrounds.
Thought we were going to have to call for help on this one, went around and under for ages. The hint is no longer applicable, no need to go in or under (coords about 4m off for us), towards the sea/opening.

First day on Norfolk
first stop on our little orientation tour
and first look for a cache on the island.
Not a good start ... read the clues and looked around some more, widening the search.
Hadn't set the phone up yet, and GPSr had me all over the place
and wasn't recalculating distances.
Decided to move on and come back another day.

Found while heading over with the family to get some lunch over near Anson Bay, got quite a few caches and also BUCKETED down on with rain, despite the rain we still had an amazing time in this beautiful area.
Hopped out of the car and walked over to GZ in sunlight, found the cache quite swiftly and then the rain decided to turn up. Kept cache dry under our hats, while we were getting drowned by the skies.

With the Se Dun challenge in mind, we set off to clean up the west coast this morning, before a lunch at Anson Bay. The weather started off good, but soon the grey rolled in, then a few scattered showers, then some steady rain, so we ended up wet, but with 18 finds for the morning.
Raincoats here, with steady light rain. We found our way to the edge, and Samuel eventually spotted the container- I had something else in mind so was looking elsewhere... TFTC!

After sometime searching just using the navigate button decided to use the compass and bingo got our 150th find. TFTC.
After finding Barney Duffy nearby we kept walking, checked out the monument then onwards to this cache.
It took a bit of searching before ol’ eagle eyes (Mrs W) spotted it. A nice sturdy cache it is too. All good.
Loads of dragonflies buzzing around - very pretty.
Thank you all responsible for placing and maintaining the cache.

Today was our first full day on NI with the weather overcast and only a few short showers. Due to the number of caches found, will do a generic log. Thank you to the CO's for placing these caches in the respective location. These caches brought us to many great views of this beautiful islands. TFTC
Spending the day caching around Norfolk Island between a few showers. We covered quite a bit of the island and traveled along many of the minor roads.
Thanks to the COs who have placed hides on the island as well as Endeavour3 who has many caches, as well as maintaining the caches of others.

Took a bit of searching love the container great view watch for the edge
Thanks for bringing us to this part of the Island. No end to the beauty spots being discovered.
Aquilus1 and myself were on a mission: Go to Norfolk Island and clear the place out in 48 hours! This we achieved as we arrived well prepared, having ground out the puzzles (some with assistance) so that we had coords for nearly all hides before leaving Australia.
Brain tickler test & vaccination certificates in hand, we were shocked on arrival that our Australian mobiles had no roaming coverage....NONE! But, thankfully it seems most accommodation not only comes with a car, but comes with a phone as well.
I swear we did at least 5 laps of the island, I knew my way around very well by the end. NI is such a beautiful place, I am coming back with the family in a month and I already know exactly where I will take them.
On our first day we hosted an event and thankfully the local legend cacher, endeavour3, graced us with his presence. Some sage advice on the trickiest of NI hides was gladly received
And, it has to be said......OMG THE HUMIDITY!!! Canberra has none at all, it was a major shock to the system!

We DNF'ed this originally.....its embarrassing as it sticks out a mile

This should not have been so hard to find but we couldn't. Was pleased to finally find it... no idea how we missed that but we did. another great reserve with views.
Trip log: Norfolk Island... Not something we had been planning to do but with GreyHams noticing travel here was starting up again, a good deal on flights and that this would count as a new caching 'country' this was indeed a very tempting location to visit.
Puzzles were solved, our double vaccinations certificates ready to go. A last minute change in the entry requirements added our PCR tests... but we arrived.
We had a challenge to collect as many of the caches as we could in the 48 hours we would be on the Island... A caching trip, but one that guided us around into every hidden gem the Island had to offer. All its beauty, history, scenic and quirky... and moisture! Humidity that sucked the energy out of every pore as we sweated our way about, but it was awesome!
An event the first evening was fantastic to meet with endeavour3, a wealth of local knowledge and assistance... both caching and the local area. It was great to confirm details, amend as needed and with a few DNFs help us back on track.
An honourable mention to the cows, especially the one that licked all over the car, the feral chickens (but not the roosters that wake up far to early and noisily) and the very friendly waving people everywhere we went!
Thanks for your cache that helped guide us about, and can all the caches be found within 48 hours... I'm very pleased to say that yes we could!

Another embarrassing moment as I was looking too high in the tree, once I adjusted my level there was the cache and much larger than I expected. Quick sign of the log and then a moment to look out to sea. Breathe and then on our way. T4tc
A gorgeous view with the pounding surf and a chance to grab a quick bite. Tftc.
