It was lovely to meet new people and catch up with others I knew. Even if it was freezing.
I was heading to the Lunch@Eureka event in Ballarat, but managed a number of caches both before and after. It was cold and windy, but the sunshine was nice, and the company warm and friendly. I heard my name mentioned, and found out that I had won the FTF prize.
Nice to catch up with old friends, and meet some new ones I'd only seen on the net. My thanks to GemmaSistema for the cache and for the prized pin.

Attended with McAdies and Geo_Eddie.
Thanks for the event.
Nice and chilly but it was fun.

What a fantastic turnout on a rather cool day.

Merry Christmas in July.
After spending the morning running around chasing a few FTF's, chooknchunk and I turned up to see a whole bunch of crazy people huddled under the shelter trying to evade the brisk breeze and to migrate to the brief periods of accessible sunshine. Fergster found it was easier to get a bit of warmth from the BBQ than it was to cook the snags on it. Jackets and beanies were the norm today.
Thanks GemmaSistema for hosting this well attended event.

36 cache finds and 2 events (one of which was micaparamedic's 60th birthday) attended over a great weekend away in Ballarat with Cybergran V and dalerious which included finding a cache that Brisal5 and I had spent over an hour looking for on a previous trip
After dropping the other 2 off at their hotel, I cached until 3am before picking them up in the morning for the journey back to Shepparton.
There were definitely some ups and downs over the weekend bloody high trees and deep drains, and a FTF where an animal had enjoyed the orange M&Ms tube so much that it ate some of the tube and took away the log book
dalerious was only the tiniest tad late for work so we dropped him off at the gates and then waited for muggle hubby to bring out dalerious' car before completing our journey into Shepp with 'just one more' find by me between Tatura and Shepparton
A lovely event which managed to catch the attention of this geocacher for some time
Lots of great people celebrating the mid year Santa fest so thank you very much for having Christmas in July

Yet another fabulous GemmaSistema event in a lovely location.
I arrived toward the end of the gathering, but there were still loads of people enjoying themselves. It was fantastic catching up with everyone and I particularly loved seeing Feathertop. I got to have a chat with Maccamob and then walked them over to my car to show them the huge birthday cake, helium tank and other goodies in prep of the evening's event - micaparamedic's 60th birthday party - what a night that was, and it even included a green 'man-kini' [:o)] hahaha
Yet another fun geocaching filled weekend adventure.
Thanks so much for hosting this event GemmaSistema!

Good turnout. Couldn't hang around long as I'm still coming off the back of a flu.
Absolutely freezing wind.
Nose dripping like a tap.
But, warm company and a nice sunny day made it a great day out.
Thanks for the nibbles Gemma.

Great turn out on cold and windy Winter's day. Perfect for a midwinter celebration. Thanks for hosting the event. Cache number 1001!!!
Great turn out on a cold and windy day but the sun made it a lovely day. Thanks for the meet. Now off hunting some caches
With Zedaycee and Angelique Anja.

Great turn out on a cold and windy day! When then sun came out it was quite pleasant, we even brought our dog to his first meet! And all the geodogs had their little jackets on, rugged up from the wind!
Well the weather was almost cold enough to provide a white Christmas. The company was jolly and greetings from others warm. Thanks for a fun and freezing event GemmaSistema
Well typical Ballarat weather and the wind was blowing a gale. Another top event thanks Gemma

Great event. Met some old and new friends. Wind chill was crisp. Nice to meet Muzza and BackPAQer.

Up to Ballarat again today to attend this Xmas event and catch up with everybody. It was freezing so Tag along and I didn't stay too long.
Thanks for organising this event GemmaSistema

A fantastic crowd on a cold day. Great venue, thanks for organising GemmaSistema. The Christmas in July Festival continues.....
A short stay with 6Hinemoa2 this cold Ballarat day. Had a coffee to warm up, chatted and headed home. Thanks GemmaSistema
Great event and it was good to catch up with like minded people to have a chat. Thanks for the event.
Thank you for a lovely event Gemma.
Nice to catch up with everyone and meet some cachers for the first time too. [^]
Thanks for the {3TF} prizes. Not sure I want to hide a nano in Melbourne. We might use it to decorate a tree in Ballarat

Thanks GemmaSystema for a great Christmas in July event. A great gathering of new friends and old, well organized and I'm sure you even had the weather man on side as he tried so hard to make it snow for us too.
Sorry we were 20 minutes late arriving at your lovely event GemmaSistema. We just had to detour slightly for a couple of First to Finds en route.
We were welcomed by an icy blast of good old Ballarat weather on arrival, but a warm hug from Mary soon fixed that, and the sun coming out helped also.
A great assortment of old friends and new, and the opportunity to find out what's new in the Ballarat Geocaching scene. From the amount of new caches and events popping up here, it is obvious that caching here is very much alive and kicking.
The cold wind, and the opportunity of finding caches, including an archived one nearby, soon saw the crowd disperse.
Thanks ever so much for putting the event on.

Nice to see friendly faces again today, but the temperature is oh so cold again. Some good chats with friends, some help with puzzling directions all made for a special time. TFT Event GemmaSistema
Thanks, GemmaSistema for the event and for your role in making July a fantastic month of geocaching in and around Ballarat. Your effort is appreciated very much.
We had kids netball in the morning so I made sure to pack everything we needed for a day out and we headed off straight after the final siren.
We arrived to see quite the crowd and enjoyed catching up with everyone despite the freezing cold weather. The kids enjoyed playing on the playground with the other geo-kids.
Thanks for hosting Gemma!

Good to see so many people out on a typically cold Ballarat day.
Nice to catch up with everyone.
Our dogs enjoyed socializing with Angelique Anja's dog but they are "inside" dogs.
We retired to the relative warmth of the Geomobile.
Thanks for the event GemmaSistema.

Headed in to Ballarat today for a couple of events (including this one) and for a few caches as well. It was icy cold and that wind had a ripper chill factor to it, but we managed to stay for the entire event, and really enjoyed catching up with everyone. Thank you GemmaSistema for this event and for all the work you've done in providing us all with lots of fun with Christmas In July.
Mary & David were there. As expected, the temperature couldn't reach double figures, but the welcome was warm, and we were under shelter. Everyone was rugged up with multiple layers of warm clothing except for Riddell, who was doing a Derringer impersonation in shorts! A huge playground and M was tempted but for the cold. We had eaten lunch before the drive from maccamob HQ, but would have paid big bucks for a mug of coffee. We love this social aspect of caching and caught up with people we hadn't seen since last year, last month, or last weekend. Congratulations to the birthday boy, and to Karena, who is doing so well. Now to do some more local caches before heading home. Our thanks to GemmaSistema.
Oh we are built tough in Ballarat! The sun was shining but it was a biting cold day. Over 40 teams braved the cold though. Thanks to everyone who came and all the local cachers who are getting into the Christmas in July spirit!
Attended after the youngest team member finished a soccer game, we made it just in time, it was great to catch up with everyone, and meet some new faces too, thanks GemmaSistema for the event and the fun
It was sunny when we were here but absolutely freezing. Gloves and hats all round but great company and a good catch up.
Thanks Gemma for organising

Cool, Yes it was cool with that breeze blowing in, like cold. Good to catch up with fellow Geocacher's. Thanks to GemmaSistema for the event. Cheers
Oh boy...it was cold today! But what a great turn out considering the conditions. Good to meet some new faces and catch up again with friends. Thank you GemmaSistema for the event and great photo of the group.
Had a free Accor night to burn...so why not burn it where it's cold?? We'll be there.
I shall be there in the biting cold but I must remember to pick up Karena on the way through!
Hi all - please note change of time to lunch rather than afternoon tea. Cheers, GemmaSistema
