Wow great views,
Great day,
But unfortunatly no cache
We looked around and found a couple of depressions where it might have once been and also found an empty shot gun cartridge but the cache did not reveal itself to us. Ah well maybe another time. After all it is a great spot to visit.

Found at 0942 in the company of Alan-san and Muzza. Happy to say I found this one before Alan-san. My 1st of 10 for the day.
Swapped an Aligator for a Tazzie Devil.
Many thanks Nomads - Great view but no Eagles soaring today.

Found at 9:34am with Kiwideb and Muzza looking on. This is an amazing area, it's all flat then there is just this huge area cut out - I can see why you named it as you did. We could hear many sheep bleeting, it might be lambing season, I think that happens in late winter..?
Swapped a incence burner holder (out) for a large red dice (in).

After noticing this cache a long time ago, i've been eager to go and have a look, past finders descriptions of the location only made me more determined to get there. This weekends trip to Ballarat provided just the excuse I was looking for. We really enjoyed the location despite the driving rain and freezing wind! Took audio book and left deck of playing cards. Thanks Nomads.
While visting you fine countrywith the nomads Christopher And Renee two members of Crumbs took a jont out in to the outback and where shown the glorious hills (they are no near mountains) of Victoria. The nomads gave us the Gps and away we went. We saw and photographed an eagle while at eh cach. Found Cach with no real problem. Took blue football and left canadian coins and tattoes. geocaching is very addictive. Am looking forward to my searches on Canada soil.

We loved this location - it had an unusual feel about it and the views were different too. Found the cache quite easily though we were fairly careful walking on the slope as it was a little slippery. Left Gloria CD and took Amorall cleaner cloth. Thanks Ray and Maya.
My second visit. I love this location and I wanted to show Pam. The cache was in good condition but was exposed as the covering vegetation had blown off. When we left it we placed a rock on top to secure the dry grass and to help make it a little less conspicuous.
Took key ring rack
Left audio book -A Firing Offense
Thanks again Ray and Maya for an inspiring cache.

At around 4.00pm we approached the cache location from the East, through Glenmore in a beautiful valley North of the Brisbane Ranges. There was a very steep (but sealed) road up to the ridge where the cache was cunningly concealed. Dashing Dog Mac sniffed around for about 15 minutes within 3 metres of the cache and for his efforts he picked up a large number of burrs, making him look more like a merino sheep than a white wombat.
While he rock-hopped, Trish and I gazed with admiration at the magnificent vista down the valley - Nomads certainly picked a great spot for a cache. There were no eagles, but some young men had three radio-controlled gliders aloft, and they turned on quite a performance.
We took the Jeffrey Archer audio tape and left a small blue SMS M&T Stress Ball in the shape of a football.
Thanks again for the great panorama - it is well worth the trip.

Found at 0955 on a beautiful Saturday morning ... as we were searching, we were nearly bowled over by a feral cat bolting through the undergrowth!!
Views were fantastic, no eagles to be seen today though. Took a corkscrew and a packet of seeds, left an incense stick holder.
Thanks to Ray & Maya.

This was a fantastic cache. The scenery was amazing. As I was driving along approaching the cache area from the west, the ground looked flat and relatively uninteresting. Then, suddenly, a huge river valley opened up in front of me. I parked at the suggested area, and found the general location easily. It took about ten minutes to find the cache which was well hidden, and within 5 metres of my zero point. I sat there among the rocks with the magnificent vista before me, sans eagles unfortunately (although I saw a beauty 30 mins later on a dashpoint hunt near the You Yangs) soaking up the sunshine and the view and looking at the contents of the cache.
I left a Jeffrey Archer audio book.
I took a roll of insulation tape.
Wonderful cache, thanks Nomads

Found this one easily late in the afternoon. No Eagles around, just some crows and a couple of rabbits.
What a fantastic position with such great views. Definitely one of the most scenic caches I've done so far.
I took the calculator keychain and left a roll of Sealer Tape.
Thanks for such a great cache.

Great views and exact co-ordinates,
Took pencil sharpener and left key ring holders
No Eagles!!
There is now a major track along fence to within 20m of the cache. A 4wd could negotiate it.
Good one

My 5th and final find for the day. After a short search, I tripped over the cache, falling flat on my back
Great view, and quite unexpected coming from the west, the ground just opens up. I didn't see the stash of another variety, but there were some black garbage bags about 50m away, so maybe that was it. It was sunset and getting dark so I didn't linger. Took a map of South Australia, and left the pig from The Bells and a free pass to Carribean Rollerama.

Took a fair while to find this one, as the gps was putting us all over the place! Happened to stumble onto a stash of a *completely* different kind close by, before 1/2 of Maccamob literally fell onto it!
Took the magnetic chess game, and left a swapcard and tennis ball.
Absolutely gorgeous view - great location for a cache!

Tagged along with JoMac. An easy walk through the burrs to the general location, but think some of the trees were interfering with the signal. Readings were jumping around quite a bit. In the end, Mary tumbled to the exact spot. Took a bird toy and left a paperback. Great views, but the day was a bit overcast and no eagles in evidence. Quite close by, though, there seemed to be quite a stash of the grassy variety. Very interesting to see how long it lasts.
Found at 15.40. No eagles but watched a crop duster at work in the valley below. Great day, great views, still removing burrs from places where they shouldn't be! Took fluffy dice, left carrot seeds.
This cache took me quite a while to find it was well covered.
No exchhange and great views.

This is what we enjoy about geocaching it takes you to great spots you would not know about otherwise. No wedgies where flying when we where there. Glad we had the long pants and gaiters on as the thistles where very bad. Swapped some fluffy dice we got at Rainbows end for the balloon-making thing.
Excellent one, Ray and Maya.

Found this cache at 12.45.It was hot and a total fire ban was on for most of the area, and from up there you could see why. Our Magellan 315 took us right to the spot.No eagles today, too hot to do anything, I guess they felt that way to. We took the gardening gloves and left a turned wooden finger spinning top and a cork screw, a great location

Found by Team GeoCoopers. A great spot with a good view. This also has to be one of the biggest cache containers that we have ever seen. Took Ralphie, left bell and cage.
Found the cache after a 15 min search, mainly due to the batteries in my eTrex dying right as we walked into the site (normally runs on 12v from the car while wired to my Kenwood TH-D7AG for APRS use), meaning we had to walk back to the car for fresh supplies.. I'd brought my folks with, and it was mum who ended up finding the cache - good spot!
Swapped the 3-way RF switch for 8m of green&white rope, then spent a few minutes watching for eagles, but alas, they weren't out flying today..
Great spot, off to try some around the dandenongs next week, before I head off home to Canberra..

The best cache site I have visited. Well worth the drive and the walk to the beautifull view. Almost missed out on the eagles (Probably cause of my noisy kids) but theY turned up as we were leaving:) I wanted to do the direct route but the family out voted me and we walked along the top. It was the last of our caches for the day and the only member not to find a cache that day found this one, so all went home happy. Took some things left some things.
thanks.
thanks.
Found it tonight right on dusk, this is my 3rd cache attempt and my second find. I couldn't believe how busy the road was for this time of day. The cache is still in excellent condition. I left a toy matchbox car and took a golf ball.
Found by Ross, Dave, Ian, Sofie & Sandra on a rather squally Sunday afternoon. We actually had the wrong co-ordinates in the GPS, and had written them down wrong so its amazing we found it at all! The view is quite spectacular. We took nothing and left nothing.
NUMBER 4 in one day....our first day of geocaching......This was a beauty. It was fantastic to travel to one we didnt know the general area of. After taking a couple of wrong turns we decided to use the Palm Pilot and connect to the online log and download a vital clue.....BITUMEN road... we had been on the gravel ones....this got us going again and we found it within 15 mins. The view here is great. I have actually been in this area years ago...but could not remember how to get here...now I know! No eagles today though....too cold and windy I presume. We took a Video 8 tape and a roll of twine. We left a teddy bear magnet, a teddy bear stamp and a little kitty keyring. I do have some pics of this one and medievel taken on a palmpix camera that attaches to the palm pilot, turning it into a digital camera. Forgot to take them at A touch of Gold and Bunnies and beyond though (must have been the excitement). I will put them on here if I ever find out how to do it!

What a great cache!!!! The view is mind numbing and the cache is full of great stuff, and it is just hard enough to find to make it interesting! Saw 4 eagles, so close you can almost touch them! The whole family loved this find, we followed the Garmin GPS45 out from Ballarat, wasent the most direct route, but saw some new country. The cache is in great condition despite the rain, even the teeth (fang?) marks havent hurt it The GPS is a borrowed one, and the wife is now weaking to buying one of our own to do more geocaching! Swaped some stuff for a heap of stuff. This cache is going to be one to watch grow! Thanks. Ben, Raelene, Amy and Terry Orchard.
Found the cache without the aid of a GPS, just using the download from the computer, not including the map.
It was a great view but there were no eagles flying when we got there. It was very windy, cold and wet.
Took a computer adapter and the package of tapes and left some puzzle books, a mobile phone cover and some crazy critters.
This was our first effort and now we are hooked.

Great view!! Impressive landscape, especially surprising when you drive in from the flatlands to the West. I found this after failing at Medieval, so it was a good morale booster (before I went on to fail at Bunnies & beyond). The cache was about where the Mag315 said it was. After enjoying the view for a while I swapped a multi-scale ruler thingy for the Heelers camo sit-upon. Thanks Nomads.

What a fantastic location. The eagles were soaring above when we arrived. A couple of wedge-tails and some smaller hawks. First parked at the bottom of the hill and climbed up but I needed to return to the car to change my two year old son's nappy so then decided to drive back to the top and got the trusty Land Rover within 30 metres of the cache. Not too hard to find but we sure picked up a lot of burrs. Took a long lunch break and enjoyed the view. Left a CB radio antenna switch and took a tennis ball.

We came back after going to Medievil, wanted to show Frank what the view was like! We saw the Eagles this time too!
Took the torch and put a pencil sharpener in..

G'day Nomads, This is our first cache and we had a ball of a time finding it. (pulling the burrs out of our socks afterwards just topped it off). Excellent spot for a cache, originally thought we had it wrong till we got there. We didn't have the binoculars but the view great. Betty found the cache so she chose the small pot gnome and she replaced it with the 'Otways tourist guide'. Regards Darryn, Mike & Betty.
Hi Ray and Maya, as you already know, we visited this cache on the 19th and are now logging it to make it official. This is one of the best cache sites we have visited. Easy access, great views and secluded enough not to be bothered by passers by. The burrs were the only problem - boots would be a good idea when visiting this one. Unfortunately there were no eagles today. We exchanged a tape measure for the knife.

hi guys!
We couldnt resist even though it was bucketing with rain, atlast a cache on our side of melbourne....
This was our first ever cache hunt and it was great fun, the rain stopped just as we got there, we had a look at the view, filled in the log, put it back and then it tipped again!
We took the sewing kit and placed a camo foam padded seat (that we make)
Best regards,
