Visited the cache late this arvo to check if it needed any maintenance. All is good. I think some people may want to find it following tomorrow mornings coffee /breakfast event at Graceville. ** Please ensure you replace cache as it was (it should not be within plain sight) and also make sure the connecting piece is out of sight. **The GZ is very muddy after recent heavy rain so if you come searching on 12 January 2024 or shortly afterwards, please ensure you have suitable footwear. The GZ also has building materials scattered everywhere (temporary fencing, packing crates, besser blocks and sandstone blocks for neighbours renovation). Please ensure you dont touch anything that is clearly for the purposes of the neighbours renovations.A long time back, when I placed this geocache originally, it was a nice little grove of mostly native trees near the river. But the Council cut them down (years ago now) and since then weeds and long grass have replaced them. It was a nicely sheltered spot for a cache hide. Its a bit sad. GZ is no longer what it used to be. I have actually spoken to two of the neighbours (left-hand side if youre facing the river) and explained about the geocache. So dont worry about those neighbours seeing you. This is because there is a lot of concern (justifiably so) about crime, car theft and break-ins locally. In fact, neighbours in my street (not far from GZ) have organised a neighbourhood watch for our street. And there is a Graceville Chelmer Crime Watch Facebook Group too. There is a chance youll need some tweezers to extract log.
This was a great cache in my local suburb! It took me a minute to find but there was one area that looked suspicious and I took a peek and I found it! Nice one, thank you for the cache!
BuonaseraHad dinner with CO, surefoot24 and evil muggle and then went exploring for a few caches. This was a tricky one as there had been some earthworks.TFTC??
Checked on cache tonight with Surefoot24, The_Evil_Muggle & Echocage1, after dinner at the nearby (authentic & highly recommended) Italian restaurant, Tocco Italiano. Changed cache container to a different style and ever so slightly relocated. Updated attributes. The cache location has recently been somewhat destroyed by building/earth moving works going on in the neighbouring property. When I first placed this cache in 2017, it was a lovely grove of trees. Today there is still flood debris from January 2022. Not to mention the mess from next door. Please use stealth. A lot of the local homes have security cameras - so smile!
This turned out to be quite a precarious trip down to GZ. After a few floods and some earthworks in the property next door the caches presentation was a bit shabby. The CO was with us and wanted advice how it could be improved. She got advice from three of us. Hopefully something from our discussions will help her.
We are now heading north to avoid the coldest of the winter weather in Victoria. Loving our time around Brisbane and around the area.
Yes, certainly mainsions about here. Pity they have to dump there garden and refurb rubbish, out inbetween. A nice hide found after a bit of scrambling.
Thanks elina_maree for placing this cache and doing the maintenance, so we can enjoy finding it.

Prestige properties but I don’t envy them the flood insurance premiums. a little bit of scrambling and I soon had cache in hand.
An intriguing cache could even be a web cam if the neighbour shared his extensive footage. Thanks for the placement and maintenance.
Really nice placement of this cache. A little perturbed by the level of surveillance cameras pointing to a council block. Took the opportunity to remove some Tash from the vicinity of this cache. Thanks
Chasing a certain attribute this month and this one fit the bill. Certainly some big mansions in this area!
Made our way to GZ and noticed a geotrail so followed it in and soon spotted the cache.

I know which house I would rather live in rather than the ugly square boxes around. I would take the corner house no. 153. Sweet, pretty and a beautiful garden. The big box concrete 'mansions' homes just don't do it for me. Walked down the easement and found the cache quickly. It is a shame no one has cleaned the easement of rubbish after the floods last year. (I notice these things as I volunteer with Ocean Crusaders and spend many days / hours a month pulling rubbish out of waterways). Lots of beautiful Qlds around - I like those. TFTC.
We had been admiring houses along the riverside all morning and continued here. We walked down between the mansions, towards the river until our GPS arrow pointed in so pushed through the foliage and immediately spotted the well constructed cache. Thanks elina_maree
This morning, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I commenced the day with a walk in Keperra Bushland in order to attend the *Keperra Bushland Lookout Catch Up* morning event. Despite my many visits here previously, it was my first time following the bitumen path all the way to the top. We then detoured back home via a cafe venue for breakfast.
In the afternoon, [@jesswrigley](http://coord.info/PRNW59T) and I then headed to Sherwood Arboretum for a walk around, since it was such a nice day. We were able to make a few quick stops in Chelmer and Graceville whilst baby napped in the backseat, and then we had a really enjoyable experience at the Arboretum walking around ponds, trees, and its riverside boardwalk.
With this cache recently replaced, and baby still sleeping, we pulled up at the end of this street, and took the walk between the mansions of Chelmer, or so the title goes. I soon arrived at GZ, and then started to search around the rocks, before spotting something suspicious. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. A very well-constructed cache, worthy of a Favourite Point. I then took a wander down to the riverfront to spot the maintenance/construction activities occurring nearby. Thanks elina_maree for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.
Note that this geocache was logged with the *Team Warren* Davidwazza/jesswrigley stamp.

Replaced missing cache. It is a different type of cache container to previously & a slightly different location.
***Please don’t pull the cache container out of its spot - please just remove the lid/end***
I also wouldn’t recommend going down there just now - pretty muddy & slippery thanks to the last couple of days of rain.

There's been a LOT of water through here since the last find. Both up and down this path. I couldn't find a cache. It may still be there but I reckon the landscape has changed a bit. The photo is a wheelie bin and someone's sports storage cupboard in a nearby tree. Interesting little spot though.
Thank you for making me drive around the stunningly beautiful area as a visitor from Victoria it was really cool to see these beautiful all Queenslanders and for bringing me down here to look at the river to hide was a little bit sneaky just cause of the growth but we got to eventually
Came and visited this glitzy motel today.
Thanks elina_maree for placing the cache here.

The things we do for a find. Was in a bit of denial about where to go at first... And then once I was there, how much further in I would have to go. Some vines tried to prevent me from going further, but I eventually got there. Took a travel bug and will move it along. TFTC!
This was uncomfortable for me especially with the very long grass but got there in the end!
This excited me but after 30 seconds in the vicinity I've come up in hives. Think I'll come back when the grasses aren't seeding
Nice find in a nice secluded area. I enjoyed being able to sit down for a while and go through the cache with nobody around. TFTC!
Good 2 find such a cache large enuff 2 leave a treasure, & all is good once u overcome the trepidation of going in for it.Tindeed4TC
Little overgrown but we sent Peppa in to grab the cache. Everyone should have a Peppa to send into the overgrown shrubbery . Grabbed 2 TB’s
Thank you Peppa for rock hopping for us. Out with PirateLinda and Peppa. Quite an auspicious street. TFTC
There is a fantastic view of the river to be had from here. All is good with this cache. The Logbook is nice and dry and container is tucked up safely.TFTC
Quick find out and about in a quiet Sunday morning
Pretty good idea of where to look for this one as soon as I go here
Thanks to the co for the cache

Early morning seemed like an ideal time to check out this motel... Chelmer is a very pretty burb... aspirational is one way I’d describe it...
No issues with the cache... made my mark... left some American coin, Tokyo Tower Tb, and a Platypus Dog Tag Tb to carry on... collected the Tb... tftc...

There are some very distinct benefits of being a morning person and being out and about before sunrise. Sneaking up on caches in close proximity to dwellings is most certainly one of them. [^]
After circling the area, I spotted where I needed to be and moved in for a very quick search. Container soon in hand, even tough there was very little chance of being caught in the act, I made short work of signing the log and returning everything as found.
All done, I was back on the road.
Cheers elina_maree.

Was out today with Grannysmith1947 and Selva Girls grabbing a few caches after doing two tree climbs.
The total 11 caches for today. My knee got to sore by then. We found 3 mystery 7 trads 1 AL. We had a lot of fun.
Cache a day to keep the doctor away, or is it to keep me sane. No it’s to keep my streak alive. elina_maree TFTC *514* streak. *3028* Finds

Not accessible at night, quite dangerous too dark to see even with a flashlight
Try again another day

My mad plan for the day was train to Park Rd. Pedal to Toowong to start an adventure lab cache there then on to the Ride Across the River lab. Then back to the train for home.
I pedaled most of the way to this one. Very slowly and carefully through the long grass. The land was starting to drop away, so I decided to go the 10m or so on foot. Glad I did. A nice drop hiding in the green.
No worries with this find. Took a TB.

Much easier than the nearby Laurels because no muggles. Rather cautious negotiating the track to this one, but found right where my GPS told me it would be. In all the years I've been coming along this road I never ventured down to look at the river, now muddy brown from recent rains. Liberated the Welsh dragon coin to pass on to another cache soon. I visited Old South Wales quite a few times when my in-laws lived there, but I don't remember ever finding any geocaches there. Perhaps they were deceased when I started caching? I do recall caching around the Bristol area though. TFTC, elina_maree.
At a friends place for dinner, standing at the BBQ, grabbed phone thinking what caches are in this area and SURPRISE, THERE IS ONE 5 MTRS AWAY!
read logs and couldn't let this opportunity go, so down the back yard around the fence and log signed. grabbed 1 TB for my efforts lol.

I dropped this TB off a month ago in the TB Foxtrot Motel and forgot to log it. Hopefully some kind person has picked it up and will log it, or it is still in the GZ- if the owner could check? It was the first trip for the TB out of our home.
Lovely area. Quick find. I left my TBs at home which was a shame as the motel is empty.
Thinking like a Fox & so no trouble finding the Motel. No disturbance from the gardening neighbour as per some... Trackables galore, little Erik soon to set sail on the high seas it would seem.... xx
GZ has had quite the trim it seems! Last time Seff was here it was a much greener place apparently, but at least it made getting to the cache a bit easier! Lots of TBs here, Seff dropped a couple, and we took a few. TFTC
On the hunt today with Dez from JezNDez in our quest to find enough caches to qualify for the latest Mystery at The Museum souvenirs. I had finished the hard work with the gems and was now accumulating the last tally of caches while Dez was still searching for certain precious stones. Combining these requirements with other personal caching goals reduced our caching options but this one made the cut.
This was actually my second visit to the location. The first was disturbed by a neighbour doing some work along the fenceline and I beat a hasty retreat to avoid drawing attention to the cache. Today's revisit revealed a rather savage haircut to the foliage which previously resided at GZ. At least the hiding location was a little more obvious this time round. Dropped of a trackable as well as retrieving some others already in residence. TFTC

Chasing down a few caches to finish the 'Mystery at the Museum' & we decided to head towards & along the Brisbane River & take in the views as well.
#14 of 15 caches found today.
Parked the Geo-Beast & proceeded with care & caution as there were a couple of tradies working on the corner house & they had quite a wide view as they were up ladders.
A nice quick find without interruption or observers.
WOW!
TBs, TBs & more TBs!
Liberated 4 & discovered the rest.
Nice to see, most of the TB Hotels we have visited have been empty.
Certainly NOT the case here.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Made a stop here this afternoon to locate this cache and drop off a bunch of travel bugs that we brought back from overseas, so they can start visiting caches in Australia. Signed log, took the TB that was in there and replaced cache as found.
CO made a shout out on a caching FB group recently re the moving on of some of these TB's. Was only too happy to oblige. Just the kind of nook I like to explore too! Cache found in great condition though a little open to prying eyes (recam'd ) . Bless you for leaving a pencil. Must have been the first time in 8 months that I left the house without my trusty BYOP. The deed was done and a good handful of TB's are on their way to The Royal Riverside TB Hotel at Rocks Riverside Park. TFTC
Dropped back to the legendary TB Motel and dropped off the very laid back and funky Mojo Monkey. We bid him adieu ad wish him well n his future travels!
I did actually look in on this one before some weeks ago but the gentleman next door was working in his yard next to the fence so I thought I wouldn't take the chance and moved on. Today the coast was clear and I was able to book into the motel. Signed the log and collected a TB to move on. Thank you elina_maree
Nailed it quite quickly with my little accomplice. Keep moving because the mozzies are fierce! Took a TB to move it right along. Cheers️we are having a ball
Fairly quick find once gps settled. Mozzies galore, did the slap dance whilst signing. TFTC . Picked up 1 TB . Couldn't fit the one I brought with me, its attachment was just a little to big to fit in the mouth of the cache.
Nice quick find after finding my way down a little path and a hop skip and jump across. Tftc
A tour of the leafier suburbs. Marvelled at the houses on the way here
Took one of the TBs for further travels
Thank you for hiding this one

Lovely little hide. Nice to see how the other half live. Dropped a TB that needs to see most other states of Australia.
TB drop x 2.
Bye bye to "The Travel Turtle Geocoin" and "UK 2013 Mega Yellow GC".
It has been nice visiting lots of geocaches with you!
On to new adventures.
"UK 2013 Mega Yellow GC", you have been travelling with me since December 2017 (opps!) so I wish you all the best for wherever your next journey, with a different geocacher, might take you.

I needed to find a traditional cache today for the traditional stats hound challenge. This looked like an easy cache to find and not far from the train station. Quick find here, nicely hidden. TFTC
I don't have any TBs but I do have a broken rib so I was looking for a 1.5 terrain. This one fitted the bill but I spent far too long gingerly stepping here and there and was about to leave. Then I thought about the attributes again and eh voila there was the motel!
I love these hides. I would have been intimidated by the expensive houses and not ventured into these parts.
Thanks elina_maree
