This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.
Today, my plan was starting out the day with Warwick parkrun at 07:00 hr, and subsequent geocaching within the Warwick area. I also visited Leslie Dam which was a nice picnic spot, before then detouring back through Warwick for a late breakfast, and continued my onwards journey south along the New England Highway to Stanthorpe. I found a few of the *Snow Flakes* granite geocaches, partially conducted the *Fruit Run*, drove east past Stanthorpe Airport finding some of the *Stan's Apple* geoart, before then visiting Mt Marley and Quart Pot Creek. We then took a late afternoon walk in Girraween National Park to Underground Creek, before establishing our campsite for the night.
Making my way south, I took a stop here, and it wasn't long before I found the cache in a nice hiding spot. I did need to take a small jump to ensure nothing was waiting inside to bite me as I put my arms in. The cache container and logbook were in good shape, and I took the TB for onwards travels. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

On my way to Stanthorpe and I stopped here for a quick find. Thanks for the fun Granite Belt Cachers
This was the first time that I have been back to Stanthorpe since the Mega in 2015 and in the meantime I have solved a lot of the puzzles and there are a lot more caches to find.
This was the first cache on my list. It was a quick find

Easy find and left tracksble that needs to travel to the USA please log on website to check details.
Another one sitting in my drafts from last year. I have a sister in Warwick and I am from Sunshine Coast, so regular visits get to go caching occasionally. All the ones along the highway are very dangerous, hence we headed back into town. Tftc
Before being joined by all of Davinells, Snickersallan & E_Smiley for a couple of nights at Queen Mary Falls I got to spend the day in Warwick hunting the new caches, a couple of archived caches and anything else that I stepped over (read: made a huge detour to find)…
After a lovely catch-up with Dunmowin in town, I decided to head South and cache until the others made it to Warwick….
You can’t complain about the quantity of caches down here… arriving at GZ it was a quick find once I finally looked up…

After attending the CITO in Warwick today, RoddyC, Hatzofff, GrannySmith1947 (and Miss Millie the Geo Dog), and half of my team (Mr D had to stay home to cook a hot dinner after a long day of caching) set off down to the Granite Belt, chasing those little smilie faces. Great afternoon, many caches found, only 2 not so...Some I had already found, but still had our travel bugs visit.
Passing by with travel bugs. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers

I'm on my way back home after visiting Brisbane. Sophie GeoSchnauzer and I spent overnight in Warwick after getting caught in then tail end of the rain yesterday. Today looks better for caching - the rain is now east of my route. So, off we went. I decided to go to Leslie dam for the caches and lab caches out there. It turned out to be a serious waste of caching time. The caches were inaccessible due to dam overflow blocking the road, or muggles. However, Sophie and I had a nice walk.
This was our second today. It was indeed an easy find, once I looked rather than assumed where it was ... TFTC.

Coming up to Stanthorpe for a few days to do the remaining caches I have not found in Stanthorpe and outer district around Stanthorpe. Sorry about the generic post - appreciate the CO's who have placed them out here. Thoroughly enjoyed finding them. Signed the log and placed the cache back where found. TFTC
Wonder what is going on around here with all the big orange containers and posts? It took a while for the arrows on our phones to decide which way to send us but we both zeroed in to GZ said at the same time. Mr Herbz looked around the back whilsy Mrs Herbz surveyed the area from a few steps away. Soon she noticed a likely spot and Mr Herbz bravely reached in to retrieve the prize. TFTC
Clever hiding spot. Have to be on guard for fast moving muggles. We left a little yellow friend.
Found nice and dry. All in good order. Nearly have up till We stood back. geocaching today with Magpie Cottage. Another great find. Thanks for hiding this cache for our enjoyment Granite Belt Cachers

I found this geocache on a mystical journey from South Australia, through Victoria, New South Wales and back again.
I did log all of the caches on my handheld GPS however some of the logs did not sychronise properly so I apologise for the generic log on these caches, which are the ones that didn't log proprly from my GPS.
I had a fantastic journey and thank you for placing and maintaining your geocache or earthcache for visitors like me.

#11190 - 11:57:00 AM; Day ten of a road trip with Sol de lune for the CacheQLD - Dayboro Mega and we are now headed for home. Collected a few Adventure Labs as we made our way through Brisbane and now making our way south along the highway. Stopped off for this cache as we were passing and dropped a TB to continue its travels. TFTC Granite Belt Cachers

I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.
A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.
In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.
A nice easy finds, thanks for placing it here.

I was invited to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007 for an epic Geocaching adventure on the Granite Belt and surrounding areas. Our morning started bright an early at Warwick (For some good ole caffeine goodness) and slowly but surely we made our way south towards Stanthorpe while grabbing MANY caches on the way.
The main goal for the weekend was to complete the Stanthorpe GeoArt and sign a couple of the challenge caches. We had a wonderful yet tiring day, we did plenty of driving and visited several locations I haven't been to before
Thank you to each and every CO for places caches at these location. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a blast. We'll certainly enjoy our sleep tonight.
Signed as Twocans
Apologies for the copy pasting crap.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was the day (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.
Between Warwick and Stanthorpe there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

TFTC Granite Belt Cachers. Stopped here while 3 water tankers were being filled near by. Glad the truck drivers took no notice of us. Clever hide once I looked in the correct direction. So glad you placed it here as we have driven past this area and I wondered how they were filling up So many trucks a day.

Heading from Stanthorpe towards Toowoomba and stopped here to pick up this cache to represent Warwick, which we passed through, along with ilook4geo. Looked in the right direction and spotted the cache. Beware the farmer's friends growing in the area!
The log was signed and the numbers of the resident trackables were noted for discovery. All was replaced before we moved on. Thanks go to the Granite Belt Cachers for placing another cache in the series for us to find.
