Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We had a great day today finding a variety of hides but I must admit Ill be happy not to see another granite boulder for a while!!!Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the placement and maintenance of these caches.

A quick little cache on a drive by TFTC

13-Jul-24
We woke today to quite cool and foggy morning so we decided to wait around for things to warm up a bit.It was then we received a phone call from a family member traveling south that they were heading through Stanthorpe and would we like to catch up for a coffee. We never pass up the opportunity to catch up with family so it was on! They suggested we meet at a place in Thulimah, and we duly did. This set the agenda for the day. We decided afterwards to head further north up to Dalveen before working our way back home along the Fruit Run. It was only about halfway through the series we realized that there were fruit stalls all along the route, some open but many obviously no longer operational. We guess a new highway finished many of them!We collected a few other caches along the way as well.Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Granite Belt Cachers.**SKI Pair****

After attending the CITO in Warwick today, RoddyC, Hatzofff, GrannySmith1947 (and Miss Millie the Geo Dog), and half of my team (Mr D had to stay home to cook a hot dinner after a long day of caching) set off down to the Granite Belt, chasing those little smilie faces. Great afternoon, many caches found, only 2 not so...Some I had already found, but still had our travel bugs visit.

Cache was wet inside, hole chewed in the lid. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Will replace next time we are down this way, unless already done.

I mentioned to some geobuddies that I wanted to go to Stanthorpe to finally collect the last of the Apple caches. A plan was hatched and a weekend away was planned. 23-Jan-21
I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.

A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.

In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.

Completed some of the fruit run series and as we are working our way into town we are now starting the snow flake series. Some great hides and some easy finds.

23-Jan-21
I was invited to join Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007 for an epic Geocaching adventure on the Granite Belt and surrounding areas. Our morning started bright an early at Warwick (For some good ole caffeine goodness) and slowly but surely we made our way south towards Stanthorpe while grabbing MANY caches on the way.

The main goal for the weekend was to complete the Stanthorpe GeoArt and sign a couple of the challenge caches. We had a wonderful yet tiring day, we did plenty of driving and visited several locations I haven't been to before

Thank you to each and every CO for places caches at these location. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had a blast. We'll certainly enjoy our sleep tonight.

Signed as Twocans

Apologies for the copy pasting crap.

After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was the day (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.

Between Warwick and Stanthorpe there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

This week in Stanthorpe we have been visiting the local op-shops for pieces of gold. I have been looking for swag and my wife is a prep teacher so has been looking for all things kid friendly. Some of her purchases have made it into the back seat and I can’t wait to get them out of my car because some are downright freaky. tftc

Our last here at Stanthorpe befotre heading down to Queanbeyan for the 2019 Mega. It has been great, but with mixed success. Sorry for the generic logs but there are so many caches in this area and there are only so many things you can write. We have loved caching our way here and around the area. We are only here for a day or two so not sure how many will will get done, but we will do our best. Thank you to each and every CO for the effort that has been needed to place and maintain the caches that we were fortunate enough to make it to. Thanks.

We had loaded up Scooby Doo (Car) & the Mystery Machine (Van and mobile GEO HQ) and headed off for 6 days of camping and caching. Our first stop was a lavender farm not too far from Stanthorpe where we set up the Mystery Machine and headed off to do some of the local caches.
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints, and our tag.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick. and the log is in good condition and ready for the next finder.
Thanks for the cache Granite Belt Cachers.

Sometimes it's just about the numbers and this run was for that and if course the planetary souvenirs. I truly admire those that have done 100 or more, we were exhausted after just over 50 but that gets us half way there. We still enjoyed the driving and looking on the back roads and thank you for your effort in putting them there for us to do this run. TFTC
