Logs
If the owner is not going to fix the co-ords, then this needs to go?
Hard to believe it was published in 2017 and still not corrected!

Found It!
After a slow rough drive we got to GZ only to read the logs and find the coordinates are very wrong. Put in the corrected ones from the past logs and discovered the cache was 2.5km back where we'd just come from. So back we went and once we got to the right spot the cache was soon found. A great spot for a cache but you need to fix up the coordinates!

Visiting from WA using Geocaching as a guide while taking in the wonderful sights of the Eyre Peninsula.
What a great day we had. We bumped our way slowly along many kms of stoney track to be amazed at finding so many signs of human habitation. How hard it must have been, so many stones, so far from other families. I feel sorry for the first settlers here, just trying to feed the family.
Thanks warrachie, we appreciate the history and adventure which took us about 3.5 hours to complete. A fave point from us.

Also allow at least 40min per 12 kl the road/track is very rocky
Cache found soaking wet. Container looked sealed but ?? Changed the container to a screw lid hopefully that will be water tight. Pealed the 4 logged pages and put them on the bonnet to dry then included them with new log sheets. Love those big trees proves there is plenty of water below for them

Glad we read some of the previous logs! Not sure how to adjust the corrected coordinates. TFTC.
5.7km from ground zero but we found it. Found on our Easter Sunday social distancing drive. TFTC
fishingmad's log is a hard act to follow. We've liked to run a 4WD event biannually through Munyaroo Conservation park, but after 3 trips through, for us, its a bit same same so FM suggested heading over here to Bascombe Well CP. Why not, there's a couple of caches in the CP, explore a new area, grab some caches on the way. After traversing Hinks CP it was time to head to this cache (event) How we underestimated the drive in. I really enjoyed it regardless of the overgrowth but once the sun started going down, heading west down this narrow track was difficult. The clearings offered some relief from the density but added the wild life which was running every which way. I guess they don't see many cars/people through here. Cache was easily found at night after setting up, tea and kids in bed. Definitely wish we spent more time exploring the clear areas, ruins etc, but I guess we'll just have to return. Such a harsh environment that I can only ask, why here??? A fav from us for bringing us out here. TFTC
What an adventure this cache turned out to be for us. It all started a about 3 months ago when I was looking for a new camping spot to check out on my phone. I saw that someone had listed the ruins at Bascombe Well as a campsite and thought that it would be great to check them out. At the same time I checked the Geocaching map and saw that there was a couple of caches in the park too. So I came up with the idea to hold a BBQ tea event at the ruins that could also turn in to an overnight swag trip. I discussed the idea with Delta Ducks and they thought it was a great idea. So the event was generated and got published straight away.
Fast forward to the 20th of October we met up early with Delta ducks in Whyalla and headed off on a days driving and caching. We had many adventures along the way and went to some awesome places too, but you will have to read about them in my logs for the relevant caches. I will however repeat a couple of details from my log for the event.
As for getting to GZ for this cache, we entered the park from the Murdinga entrance on the SE corner of the park. This track was very narrow and quite bumpy making things very slow going. We entered the park around 4:30 allowing plenty of time to travel the 24km to GZ. What we didn't realize was how slow we would be travelling as it took us over an hour to do 12km to another cache along the way. Then over an hour to do the rest of the 12km to GZ, I had read the previous logs and told Delta Ducks to ignore the coordinates of this cache from the page and to just drive on through to the event site as that is where the cache is hidden according to the coordinates from the previous logs. We arrived at GZ just after 7pm. This was unfortunately after the official event time but there was nobody else there and no evidence of anybody else having been there recently. By this time we were very hungry so we cooked up our BBQ's and had our tea event a little bit late.
Then it was time to set up the swags and get the camp fire going. We then had an awesome night of camping with perfect weather and great company.
It was while we were sitting around the campfire about 10:30 at night after my kids had gone to bed that we decided to do a bit of night caching and see if we could find the cache. We loaded the new coordinates in to the gps and went for the short walk up to the trees. Even in the dark it was a quick find in the first place we looked (I must admit I did remember the hint so it was easy to find). We signed the log and re-hid the cache. The log showed that we were the third to find apart from a note from an excited muggle tree climber that found it too.
We then went back to the fire to enjoy the rest of the night.
The only downer for this trip was all the scratches I now have on our 6 month old Patrol, Mrs fishingmad was a tad upset with me when I got home, but she will get over it I hope.
The drive out along the track to the East to the Warrachie entrance was much quicker as the track was still bumpy but was much clearer and easy going, I would suggest using this entrance if you are coming just to this cache.
It is a pitty more people don't come to places like these to get these slightly more challenging caches as the areas are awesome with a lot of history to be seen, a favourite from us for sure.

Another day of Eyre caching with Purrfect Di, Sebastbat and Jack.
We went for a drive up away from Pt Lincoln and found all sorts today. This was one...
We checked the original coords on the way in. Definitely not. There was an old wall nearby,
maybe another is planned???
So we went to the corrected coords from diesel69, and had a good hunt around there. Using the hint, and a handy tool,
we located the cache about 12 metres from these coords, but in the only place it could safely be!
Silver again aftet 5 months out here (first was over 4 months!!) More people need to go for these more challenging caches
A small muggle tree climber has also found it in between Out here
The drive in and out was great fun. Started at the lower entrance and did the loop.

This cache has my name in it so I figured FTF had better be my goal.
After coming in the short way, from Warrachie siding, I found the Bascombe Well Homestead ruins but GPS was saying the cache was still 2ks away........ after a quick look around I headed off towards the Murdinga track and where the GPS said that I would find the cache.
As I approached the spot there were no big trees to be found so after turning around I went back to the homestead site and started looking at the trees and with the help of the hint it was soon located
TFTC
My coordinates are posted in the note
