Out for a weekend drive and ticking off a few on the way to Stanthorpe. TFTC.
We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.
A quick find on my way home
New highway here. This cache sits near a water pipe/ culvert thing so be aware, it may fill with water...

On my way back to Stanthorpe, I stopped here for a quick find. Thanks for the fun Granite Belt Cachers
I know Geocachers can be a crazy bunch and I really think I’ve joined them with logging this cache. I’ve been to every state and territory in Australia this year except for Qld. I thought I would remedy that and hopped on the motorbike a couple of days ago (accompanied by my daughter who hasn’t ridden much in the last couple of years) and made the trek from Vic. I logged 2 of this series and hoped to log the one on the NSW/QLD border but couldn’t locate it. Anyway now I’ve logged a cache in every state and territory and can be happy that I achieved this goal
Heading home from my graduation in Armidale saw this cache on the side of the highway and knew we had to stop and do a quick search. At GZ it didn't take long to locate the cache, sign the log and replace it. All in good condition. TFTC.
On my way home from Armidale, thought I would stop by for one last find with Geokirky on our road trip home.
After spending a lot of time getting only a few caches around Tenterfield we decided to smash some more out on a stanthorpe evening. Picked up the Tb. Tftc

We are on our way back home. We went to QOGM 2022 in Charleville first, then decided to go on a camping trip in NSW for a change and visited also Canberra.
Now we stay a couple of days in Stanthorpe.

Tftc granite belt cachers, made a quick find here on our way to the Stanthorpe showground where we will stay for a few nights
PirateLinda and I have come down for Beardman75’s Catch-up in Stanthorpe event tonight… Apparently people come here in the middle of winter… for fun… Being our only full day in town, it was all about Girraween…
Having conquered Girraween, or at least some of it, a group of us are making our way back towards Stanthorpe…
Found with PirateLinda, Willis007, and chamad…
Tftc…??

Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
Found with Willis007 and chamad.
Found with Willis007 and chamad.
After a very early start to the day yes 4 am on the second coldest day in the year. Willis007 and I left Brisbane and headed to Stanthorpe and Girraween for a walk and catchup with a few other crazy people. It got to -4 degrees at one point of the journey but that did not stop the enthusiasm of the group.
We finished our big trail walks and started to collect caches around the area. We headed south to a particular challenge cache for Willis007 and then we headed north back towards town, collecting more caches, timing it to finish before our dinner event at 5.30pm.
We bumped into Peppa and Pirate linda and suggested we cache together for a while. It was a fun little caching time. It was good for Willis and I, as we got to clean up a few more caches of Stanthorpe that we had missed on our last journey here.
This was an easy find, a quick sign of the log and cache replaced as found and we were on our way to the next one, thanks.

A great day out in Girraween National Park with chamad, Peppa, Pirate Linda and Beardman75. The main focus was to visit some of the waypoints for the earthcache in the area, and to attend the event in the evening.
Of course, there are always plenty of caches to visit while in the area, we made sure we made the most of the beautiful day.
A quick find at gz, thanks Granite Belt Cachers for bringing us here.

Today (11th) I'm starting a four-week trip to Queensland. My Mum of ancient days (she's 97) lives with my brother in Brisbane. He and his wife are heading for Sydney to see their grandkids. So I'm heading up to care for Mum while they're away. I used to drive to Brisbane in one hit when I was young and foolish, but these days I take my time, and take even more time to cache on the way.
I had intended to leave early in the morning to get a full day of caching in, but Mrs Mister JD has a chipped funny bone and can't move her arm very well, so I ended up doing as many chores for her as I could, and ended up leaving at about noon. I had planned to complete a whole string of challenges up this road then across and back to Yass. The late start crueled this, and I decided to spend no more than a couple of minutes looking for each cache, which worked pretty well for me today.
I did manage to complete about half of what I had intended for this area, but then I decided to book the night's accommodation, only to discover there wasn't much available between Cowra and Dubbo. As Cowra wasn't far enough, and Dubbo was too far, I ended up taking the last room in Wellington, then I had to get there.
Day 1 score - 22 finds, four write notes for challenges I didn't qualify for, and 2 DNFs
So, day two. I got to Wellington after dark yesterday with no finds after the string I was doing at Yass. I spent too much time on it, so had to skip the rest of my plans for the day. Poor Sophie GeoSchnauzer only had a couple of walks until after we arrived in Wellington. So today I want her to have more walks, and a better day. I am heading for Tamworth by back roads, and my goal for myself is to finish off most of the Dubbo to Dunedoo trail. Otherwise, I am picking cachs that Sophie can walk in. Sophie GeoSchnauzer has been present for nearly 5000 of my more than 5,400 finds. She's fifteen now, and is not quite so keen on long walks, but she enjoys shorter walks, and is sometimes curious about the caches we find.
Day 2 score - 32 finds, a couple of DNFs.
Now it's day 3. I want to get to Tenterfield today, and to pick up about 30 finds. I want to finish the Moonbi Gap Road trail I started on my last trip, and look at a few other trails around Tamworth before heading north. In the end, I had a successful day.
Day 3 score - 31 finds.
We're into day 4. I've looked at road conditions and have decided to get there via Allora and Toowoomba. I note there are lab caches around, so I will collect them as well. I had a good day, 31 finds including 15 lab caches.
I decided to grab a few of these along my way to break up the trip. Thanks, Granite Belt Cachers

Nice to be the next one to find this cache with its new log and bag. Thanks Aussie Liahona for doing this. Thanks
Another cache that was a quick find and it enabled us to reach Tenterfield before the shops shut. This one took only a moment longer as it needed a new container and log. All’s good here and a nice safe location off the edge of the road. Log signed.
Many thanks for a great series. We’re aware we missed one that’s in the middle of the ones we found today. I don’t know how that happened. Also there’s some on the west we also need to do. Maybe tomorrow, maybe not. We’ll have to see.
Thanks for a fun time geocaching today.

The cache needs urgent care. The container is broken, so the water is all over the box and some of the objects inside are damaged. Unfortunately, we didn't have a spare container to replace the old one. TFTC, but I think the container should be replaced.
Coords were off for us but the cache was located. Didn’t have a zip bag but popped a new log inside. Tftc
Found the box but without logbook inside. I hadn’t anything to put in so took a picture.
Plenty of parking here. Great for these park and grab.

After 10 years on the road, we have finally decided to settle and put some roots down. Warwick is our chosen town. While we wait impatiently for settlement, we sit out time in our caravan, or go shopping for furniture, or go caching! Settlement has been delayed by a few days, so we went for a drive today down to Wallangarra and back. Started picking up caches around Ballandean.
Nice sousaphone - well that is what I dictated into the microphone when i logged this as a draft, and now I have not idea what I meant. Anyway we found Snow 13 Flake, and had some fun today. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers

Hi, I've noticed that this geocache is not accessible right now due to road works. This might need archived until the roadworks are over
One more find in the area before we need to get moving homeward
Thank you for placing this geocache

Stopped off the main road to grab this one. This area needs a good clean up. If I had some gloves and a bag would have done some CITO. The log is a bit water damaged and damp. Tftc
Day 4 of our holiday in Stanthorpe. On our way back from Wallangarra we stopped to find a few caches. This one was very wet and hard to write on the logbook. TFTC!
After a wine tasting at Symphony Hill wines we were back on the case before lunch. Like every winery we have visited the wallet was lightened but the boot was loaded. I know we bought 5 bottles of wine although 2 magically disappeared that night. I know we purchased 2 bottles of Prosecco but being filled with bubbles it had a short life expectancy. tftc
After a spectacular day of walking in the nearby National Park, we headed back into Stanthorpe along the highway. We took a short detour here to find this geocache. The log was a little damp, however we still manage to sign the dam paper.
Thanks Granite Belt Cachers.

Found by Mary and David at 15:05. Still shocked at the sad state of this beautiful country now in comparison to our last trip through here. Our thanks to Granite Belt Cachers.
Making our way north we have now reached the granite belt and there are a lot of interesting and quite spectacular rock formations around. This was a nice easy cache to find with ilook4geo. After doing the signing duties, all was put back into its place before we headed on our way for the day. Thanks go to Granite Belt Cachers for putting this cache into play.
We are now caching in the granite belt with goingplaces2 and enjoying finding some fun and interesting caches. This one was easy to find and soon had our names on the paper. TFTC.
