I saw this place as I was passing yesterday, so today I had to come here for the cache, tftc
Nice little church tucked away here. Went and had a quick look around to see the cage around the headstone but found I was spending too much time looking down dodging sheep poo so I headed back to GZ and made the find. Lots of cages around the headstones nowadays. And yes def grazing stock in here keeping the grass down. TFTC

What a lovely little church and yet no one around, thankfully for us. A super quick find and we were off again, heading home after a long weekend of driving to complete the PWGT Rua series of caches. TFTC

Decided since I had to go to Marton today that it was also time to get out and about doing some geocaches, some new, some old.
Went to church, found the cache. What a fascinating cemetery.
Thanks for the placement sunju.

Geocaching has taken me to many interesting small churches. This one is certainly unusual with many of the grave sites being surrounded the way they are - one is particularly strange in appearance.
I spied this cute church heading North but overshot the road to it. Vowed to check it out on the way back and overshot it again. Sneaky little road. Had to see if perhaps there's a cache here to be found. If not there soon would be.
Of course there is! Quick easy find. Signed log, then spent half an hour or so investigating the graveyard and church. Re-bagged the log as the existing was ripped and far too large for the micro container. All good here now. TFTC

A nice and easy find this afternoon. Beautiful day here in Marton! Log was a bit damp but still managed to sign.

Had an evening off work and headed up the Turakino valley road to Hunterville then back via Bulls for some smileys. Lovely back country road followed by busy SH1. Dark by the time I arrived here and I got quite a fright when I disturbed the sheep who were sleeping right next to the cache. Thanks
On the move from Blenheim to Auckland and I'm the advance party. I get to arrive first, get the rental keys, clean it, received the house pack and set up the house, collect the cat off the plane on Wednesday and greet mrs capperz on Thursday! Phew, a busty few days ahead it seems. But first I get from South to North and overnight in Bulls. A plan to catch up with our daughter later on Saturday left me with a few hours 'spare' so what better than to continue with the SHIELD series. I'd made a start one day over Christmas and with nearly all the solves done the puzzle pieces on my map were so tempting. A good day to drive around those back roads, less unsealed than I'd thought and only a handful of DNFs. A couple of the TOTT ones were pushed too far in to do anything with but most were dry and ready for signing. Started the day with some taster ones out of Bulls and Hunterville just to whet the caching appetite. 59 finds for the day and at Whanganui for 1430 and a warm house, good effort all round.
First up here and light was just peeking from behind the clouds. With good coordinates and a logical hiding place the cache was soon in hand, signed and replaced same. T F T C sunju

Heading up to Taupo for the weekend and stopping at a few selected caches along the way, this was one. All good here, TFTC
It's always nice to find a cache at a historic church so we couldn't resist turning off the main road to make the find.
Thanks sunju for bringing us here.

Thanks for giving me a reason to pull of the main road and check out this lovely old church.

Together with TEMBO! I had a really interesting geocaching-trip today. We could find some geocaches, met some locals and had a great talk to them.
Concerning this geocache I want to say thanks because we had much fun in searching and finding this geocache! The cache made our trip even more interesting!

The weather let up just as I was passing this spot and which gave me another clue in the Mystery at the Museum. TFTC
I always enjoy visiting country cemetery - so full of stories and bits of mysterious history. Straightforward cache, thanks, leaving time for a wander around.TFTC
A quick visit WOO (window of opportunity)around part of the Manawatu before approaching bad weather. Had to stop by to see this small church. Located the cache quickly and took the two TBs to move on, Tftc.
For my personal challenge of working towards getting my calendar on GC.COM to be at least the same shade of green or darker I need to sign off at least 4 caches today. I won't grumble if I find one or two more I decided to do caches near Marton today.
I went to this one while my clothes were being washed at the Laundromat. It was luck I came here on Saturday.
Cheers for the cache.

A nice little church
Found during a big weekend geocaching from Whanganui to all of the S.H.I.E.L.D. series out the back of Kimbolton and other areas areas too numerous to mention
It was a great weekend and some caches were signed 2 Bulbars but others were signed 2 BB/ hay short for Hayden seek.
The wet weather held off as we expected it to rain but no it stayed fine for the series which was a bit of a plus. Regarding the SHIELD series we spent many hours working out the different formats and a big thank you to the Co who guided us when we got stuck
It took about 10 hours to do the shield series and we travelled many back country roads and at times I wondered if I was lost but we always came out to more major roads. It was this back country travelling that made it so enjoyable. As far as I know no animals were hurt during this trip into the out back

Took longer than it should have. Finally clicked. Found with little blue hen on our way north to turangi. Thought we could spare half an hour ticking a few more off en route. It seems the railings around the graves have increased. Perhaps to keep the sheep out or the residents in.Tftcsl
Just passing through and this one was beckoning. All good here. Thanks for the placement.
Nice easy drive by ...neat little church and grave yard thanks Sunju for bring me here and the cache
#6370. I am driving north to Auckland but have allowed two days to get there. The family decided to take the train trip north to enjoy the scenery. That means there is plenty of time for me to stop and pick up caches as I head north. Great to be on a road trip again. Diverted in off the highway for this one. Hadn't noticed this church previously. The cache itself took only a few moments to find thanks to the cache name. Signed the log and replaced the cache as found. Thanks sunju for hiding it here.
After 5 weeks in NZ, where quite the majority of my 700+ finds have been hidden in the same manner, I found myself struggling here.. doh..
Found at 09:40 - #8652 - on a 5 week trip in New Zealand

Today was part two of my road trip home to Nelson from Auckland, after picking up my son's "new" car from Napier, taking me from Taihape to Wellington... with time to find a few caches along the way, of course. A nice spot to stop and admire this little country church - and find the cache too. TFTC, Biggles.
I passed by here on my way to Hunterville today, and this was the only cache stop I made today. I love a good church and cemetery cache wander, so this was just perfect for stretching my legs. Thank you for the cache.
Pulled off SH1 for a short break here and a cache to find with harisree. TFTC
Up for the Mega for the week, had a great day in the Bulls and the sunrounding areas many thanks to the cache placer's - Bitsprayer
Enjoyed our stop at the very pretty rural church - nice placement, thanks very much for the placement sunju.

Driving up to Auckland today gave me the opportunity to pick up a few caches along the way.
It was a very easy park and grab, with no-one around to disturb my caching admin to the log and cache replacement ready for the next finder.
I've driven past this spot so many times before without giving it a moment's thought, but since discovering Geocaching I now see everything from a renewed perspective, so thank you for placing and maintaining this cache.

A quick easy find at this nice old church with our grandchildren hayleyhnz, hannahhnz and hollyhnz. There were sheep in the church grounds today, and the girls went in to see the lambs. TFTC

Day 2 of our road trip
Breakfast was first on our list of things to do today, but a couple of caches got in the way first.
As we filled our stomachs we read about the 43 multi's here so our mission was to clean out Marton and look at other caches we had solved or qualified for.
Great day but still a long trip home.
Thanks to cache owners who's caches we collected over the weekend. SLTFTC

With Gap (of Fap and Gap), and NZFlossy... Day two of our mission into the Manawatu to get a push on the Mythical Creatures souvenirs.
It rained heavily overnight, and we wondered if the rough weather would hang around. Fortunately, we awoke to a much improved morning. The plan was to find breakfast, then make a dent in the multitude of caches around the towns of Marton, Bulls, and Sanson before heading homeward...
It seems such an oddly isolated place for a church. But then the road and railway have certainly sliced their way through the surrounding community. A quick find. TFTC.

Day two of a road trip with squirrel nutcase and Gap of Fap & Gap. We have come down to the Rangitaiki in pursuit of caches for the Hidden Creature Souvenirs and were rewarded by beautiful scenery as well. We spent a short night at a motel in Marton and were on the trail again early - and even though it had rained in the night we didn't get any during the day just a bit of wind in places. Thanks to the cache Co's and my travel buddies for a great weekend

Very pretty church set just off the main road. The ground was very boggy around the church which made walking challenging but I felt just seeing it from the road was not good enough as these buildings look good from all angles.
Today's mission is to get at least one cache to fill in a missing dot day on the calendar
Out here north of Bulls just off state highway one parked up outside a small church got out of the car looked about and saw the location of the cache and shaw enough it was there nice and easy park and grab on this fine sunny day
Thanks for the cache

Hint is in the name of the cache. Made for an easy find as we were hoping it would be since it was raining. The horse across the road seemed a little lonely and sad to see us go. Haha. Tftc
Thanks for bringing us to this pleasant country church sunju. We noticed that some bishops are buried here.
I had some spare time while in town visiting some of the rellies, so I thought Id do a few of the easy drivebys in the area. I had a great day and grabbed a heap of caches. Lots of damp and wet caches, but not surprising given the weather. I did find some that had been replaced, but found the original nearby. Signed one or the other depending on which I found first. Thanks to all the CO's for a great day and apologies for the generic log.
Quick find on the way to car racing at Manfeild. Nice to get out into the countryside again. Met a lovely lady here who was preparing for a Faith Trail and she invited us inside to see her family church and we chatted about the history. A lovely place with beautiful leadlight windows and amazing woodwork inside. TFTC.
Easy find on the way up the line. While we were there we had a little look around this beautiful little church. Fascinated by the large concrete structure to the left of the path up to the church. On further investigation we discovered a large underground crypt!!! Very interesting spot, thanks for bringing us here.
Off to Taupo for a few days with team geocacher Mr. T and taking the opportunity to pick up a few caches. A quick stop to pick up this one and admire the pretty little church. Thanks for placing a cache here.
Thanks for giving me a reason to pull of the main road and check out this lovely old church! A nice easy find.
What a lovely little church out here and still used occassionally. The architect was Frederick De Jersey Clere and he is responsible for many churches around the W3ellington Diosese and up to new plymouth. It was built in1882 and it is one of his smaller wooden churches that he planned, and it seats abpout 70 people with a very narrow and tall nave. It also has sqaure headed windows which you dont often see. When built it cost 218 pound and 19 shillings! and has a most attractive belfry.. The site was gifted by Major William Willis who lived nearby. it was lit by kerosene lamps until 1976 when electric lighting was installed.
Thank you for bringing me to this church as it is one of LeClere's church's i still had to visit.

On My Way Home For Christmas part 2, after having spent nearly a week in Palmerston North, now I am heading for Rotorua. Thought I would tackle the remaining green spludges along the main road up.
There is one cache before this that I didn't bother with, at Oroua Bridge - too close to Palmy, so this is my first cache of the day.
A classic Skindo hide! I see so few of these in Marlborough that I hid one especially to see if anyone down theer knows what a skindo is (a few, all travellers.)
Thanks for making me feel at home! Merry Christmas.

#9687. We were travelling past Bulls, and so a short stop by this lovely church. GZ was all quiet when we visited. Quick find. The cache was in excellent condition, all nice and dry inside. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log.

This was the second day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
There were several sheep inside the fence keeping the grass down. With a big step, I was able to get to the cache without disturbing them. TFTC.

After picking up a few supplies in Marton, I headed this way to pick up a cache. The little side road was nice and quiet today, with no activity at the near by business either. So, it was a quick grab and sign, then on my way.
Thanks for putting this cache here sunju.

10.30am. Last time I drove past here I spotted this Church and decided it was a great spot for a cache. But too far from home for me to maintain so am so pleased that there is now a cache here. An easy find and a favourite point.
Thank you David and Noeline.

Jono S and I decided to tackle the Marton caches . We encountered difficulties and DNF but some smiley faces. We enjoyed our day in Marton finding out some history and visiting interesting places then heading towards Bulls we stopped off at the very pretty church and soon found the cache. TFTC
A beautiful Church down a side road. Thanks for bringing us here as part of my sorte with MJMNZ to Marton. A Favourite.
We needed to get out for a while today, so thought a few Marton caches would be just the ticket, however we had only limited success.
This was our first stop at a typical, attractive old country church. Mrs G wondered for a while why there were a number of Bishops buried here - then she realised, of course, that it was a surname rather than an ecclesiastical office!

Today was the frostiest morning so far this year... so a good day for a drive to this cache where sheep were peacefully grazing in the churchyard.
As I wanted to enjoy the crisp fresh air I parked down the road a bit beyond GZ near the substation and had a short walk back to the church
Thanks for the cache in an interesting location that I wouldn't have otherwise visited

I received the notifications for the new sheep series of caches near Marton just as I was contemplating getting out of bed. As I could hear heavy rain, I decided to have a leisurely breakfast and do some chores. After breakfast the rain had eased and the FTFs were still up for grabs, so I jumped in the car.
The weather was slowly deteriorating as I made my way around the sheep with piercing hail at one stage. Heading back home to Feilding, I remembered this new cache here so I pulled in. There was a car parked at the gz so I immediately thought "fellow cacher" however the person was nowhere to be seen. I then noticed that the church door was open and a vacuum cleaner just inside, so I figured this was the cleaner giving the church a bit of spit and polish before tomorrow's service.
I then approached the gz and spied the lady picking up her vacuum so I quickly grabbed the cache and retreated to the car for the formalities. Coast was clear when I returned the cache. Very stealthy. TFTC

Oohhh the weather is feeling more and more like winter, grabbed my beanie instead of the sun hat today, what a cute little church that I had no idea that was there, nice quick find with no muggles around on to Marton to try my luck at the sheep trail. Thanks for the placement.
Finished work early so decided to grab this on the way home. A quick find here. Tftc an of course another smiley
Just got home after visiting some friends at about 10.30pm was just having a cup of tea when Mr watcache got onto the computer and saw a new cache had come out while we were out, so we thought why not not sleepy yet, but I'm sure we will be in the morning, but off we set was a nice evening after all, wasn't long before at ground zero and thought wonder if we are too late and someone had already signed the log first, but no we were the {FTF} and got a lovely path tag aswell, I must admit I didn't know this church was here, well have to come back and have a better look in daylight.
