Adding to the DNFs after a long look at GZ.
Think the CO might have to check in on this one.

Wasnt able to find this one unfortunately. Might try again layer after a few other finders have found it.
Raining today, but an east find when I needed a stop from driving.
There’s a hole in the bag it’s in and so the paper is getting damp. May need attending to.

Today was about orienteering and then cleaning up a few caches on the way back to Orange. This includes a number of target caches.
Before approaching the cache I told the caravaners that I was on secret squirrel business and wearing a cloak of invisibility and that they hadn't seen me. On the way back to the car I had a chat to them and explained geocaching.

Found on Day 3 of our big trip north to the Dayboro mega. We had noticed the spectacular Boree Cabonne mansion on the way to this cache so were rapt to be able to read about it in the cache description. TFTC matto189 and ezz122.
Tiny cache, we nearly didn’t see it but Muggle Hubby found it.
We appear to be following Sol de lune a day ahead of us as we are all heading north to Dayboro.

#10577 - 11:21:00 AM; Day one of a road trip with Sol de lune as we head north for the Dayboro Mega. The weather was fine at last as we set off from the National Capital and made our way towards Narrabri where we planned to spend the night. Didn't have any problems finding this one and happy to report the log was dry too! TFTC matto189
Heading north to the Qld Mega with LuckyL10n and this was our next stop. No real issues and the cache was soon found and the log signed.
Thanks for the cache and the reason to stop.

# 6804 On a trip to Dubbo for a long weekend away from Canberra. It's been a while since I've managed a geo-trip so it's good to be on the road again. It's also very not, days on the mid 30's are hard going. First stop is Cowra, then Canowindra, Moping and Wellington. I returned via Orange and Crookwell for a bit of variety.
There was someone parked near gz on their phone, but didn't seem interested in what I was up to. Quick find in the end.
Thanks matto189 and ezz122

Found it. Why is it I can sit on the side of the road on the phone for 20min and no one comes past as soon as I look for a geocache it turns into parramatta rd? Every man and his dog drives past
Nice little cache, must have looked in its hiding spot 4 times before I found it.
Log was wet so I dried it out, signed and replaced in a plastic clip lock to hopefully keep it dry.

After a great family Christmas we had an, emergency trip to Orange at the beginning of the week we were finally heading home with no good news.
Pulled up and headed to where I thought the cache was and found it very quickly. Signed the log and replaced it back where it was. All was good with it, there was a muggle that was nearby as I headed out but did not take any notice of what I was doing.
Thanks for this cache guys, Lil Donna

After a huge 2020 it seemed only right to have 2021 start off with a smile. So with SA and VIC plans on hold once again, we decided to join the local New Year’s Day event and then head off north west to find some more counties for K8TYBEE. The event was so fun we stuck around for some team caching! Finally on the road we swung by here to grab a cache. Master plan is to hit Grenfell, Orange and swing back to Parkes

While 2020 was personally and professionally challenging and then you add in a pandemic, 2021 had a lovely start with an event and a few caches along the way. Hopefully the theme for this year will be good laughs and good health.
Although NRC and my original SA plans may have been shutdown by the border closures, we decided to venture out anyway into our immediate backyard of NSW and pick up some counties and some much needed R&R.

The Annual Stumble's geocaching trip changed location in 2020 to the TRLT in Western NSW to clean up a bit of the map with more smileys. The geomobile was rigged with awning (R.I.P.) and the swags were duly loaded onboard with the camp chairs and mini webber. The plan was to keep away from the crowds and see a bit more of the state which resulted in a great weekend of camping and getting off the grid.

Found with Sophiescout enroute to Dubbo and beyond. Very prickly spot right now, TFTC
We tried to do this the week before, but there were trucks and tow trucks and cars and no way to be even lightly stealthy. Driving past today there was no one around so we stopped and picked up the cache. TFTC
We were here about a week ago and it was parking central here, so we just drove on. Today - nobody, so we stopped and soon found the cache. Thanks matto and ezz.
Quick find. Contents of cache were wet so I replaced the cache with the lid down to keep further moisture ingress. tftc
This was a adventurous long weekend drive from ACT to Wellington caching along the way with TheSkype. Muggle bro in toe. No I wasn’t going to the toilet even though it looked that way by a driver parked nearby. Tftc
Enjoying the weekend at Manildra with my caravanning friends.

Day 2 of our taste of the Central West roadtrip, today we we heading to Gundagai from Bathurst, via Parkes. It was nice to see the smoke dissipate as we got further west, but it never seemed to depart altogether, beautiful weather, although the pouring rain we did this leg in before would have been welcomed also.....
No problems here, another quick country road stop and go..... TFTC!

#16840. Our third day on the road heading home with the new camper Today we drove from Mudgee to Young collecting a few caches along the way.
Interesting cache page and history of the two nearby properties. We noticed Boree Carbonne on our way past after doing this cache. Needs a new log sheet too.
Thanks matto189

Slowly heading home.
Left Mudgee this morning, and after a few local caches, headed for Young.
Bettyboo3747 and I collected occasional caches along the way.
Interesting information about the homesteads, and a nice quick find with parking!
Thanks, Robmc.

Picked this one up while passing through with goingplaces2. Nice quick and easy find even though trucks and other cars stopped as well. All good with this one. TFTC.
While we were travelling along with ilook4geo, we stopped here to find this cache. It seems to be a popular place to pull off the road for quite a few people. A successful find was made, the log had a couple more names added and we were on our way again. Thanks go to matt0189 and ezz122 for placing and maintaining this cache.
#3581 A late entry but log is signed and replaced as found. Never seen this Sistema before. Very cute. TFTC.

The shortest route from the van to this one was across a pile of bluestone, so I took it. A poor choice in thongs!!!!
A quick find was made at GZ of the tiniest Sistema I have ever seen.
Pity about the rubbish here but thanks for the smiley.

Yaaay!! I'm off on my Brisbane trip. Sad to be leaving my lady and her kids. I shall have to cheer myself up with geocaching ...
I've done some pocket queries and some research on the results. I'm trying to meet lots of targets for Professor Rapidly Wild's UGC series at home, so I'm seeking :
Two caches placed in 2000 - none found so far
One cache placed in 2001 - none found so far
119 caches of size "Regular" - One found so far
20 caches of size "Large" - none found so far
One letterbox in Qld - none found so far
One letterbox in NSW - none found so far
Any puzzles and multicaches I can reasonably find.
I've located enough caches to find on this trip on this trip to complete all but the last target. So we'll see how I go.
We stopped here for a dog walk, to stretch my legs, oh, and for a cache. The cache was nice and easy.
Day 1, Monday - 12 in total.
Find no 7 of 12 today.
Thanks, matto189

Driving back home to Canberra, after having gone up to spend the Christmas break with my parents, who live in Caloundra.
I took 3 days because I left after lunch on the first day, and I had decided to have a leisurely drive and find some caches and maybe do some sightseeing on my way home.
TFTC - Stopped on my way past, because I figured I could put a TB in here rather than take it all the way back to Canberra... a slightly small. .. small... but I did actually have one TB small enough to fit - so the little red Hint is waiting here at the corner to see where he can hitch a ride to next

Easy find, but I think just a few too many people have taken a dump behind this tree, maybe a move is in order...
Easy find for the geograndkids. We didn’t hang around long as there was a bitterly cold wind blowing brrr.
