Found while visiting from Canberra on our way to Perth.
This one was almost across the road from where we were staying.
I ducked out to grab it in the morning.

Neither rain nor hail nor sleet…. Well it was raining but an easy quick find. TFTC Freddo. TNLN.
Today is day 6 of our 5 week road trip through SA and the NT. A quick detour and find on our way from Port Lincoln to Ceduna. TFTC
Another cache found with richlink on a beautiful sunny day.
Thank you so much to the CO’s who have placed and maintained caches for the enjoyment of all.

With rain expected tomorrow, we headed out with iluvtrekking to do dry weather caching. Had to wait while school kids wandered by. Thanks Freddo
A beautiful day with a beautiful view.
I enjoyed the walk even though it was a little muggy. Weird weather.

Decided do find one last geocache on the way out of PL and chose this one. Nice spot and easy find, though it is a couple of meters from the coordinates.
Once found, we had a quick look at the old mil around the corner which is a must to see.

We visited here while on a trip around SA with our camper trailer. Definitely overdue posting this log as it was on 25 December 2021! Was an easy find, TFTC.
Found it very challenging because it was not in the right spot but still I did it and also I gave you guys an ikea pencil because I’m from somewhere which has an ikea and I don’t think you guys have one
Found with panda 1 while on holiday with friends TFTC was due to be on a sea lions tour however was cancelled due to rough seas!! Still having fun caching.
Went looking for a cache today and saw a very suspicious looking lady doing her very best at trying to look innocent at the location.
I said, "are you doing what I think you're doing?"
She replied, "maaayyybe"
Not often we meet other cachers.
Between us we only found the container we believe used to be the cache but it was destroyed. Can we claim this as a 'find'?
Aspro.

Only one of the three goals from last year achieved. So once again trying and fill my calendar with multi-caches and complete loop 11 again this year. [^] For my third goal I will try and get my DNF numbers to single digits. That should keep me busy again this year! [:o)]
Off to the west coast for a Holiday. [^] Holiday Sal Style that is. We are sightseeing - if there happens to be a cache there - great - get it. Luckily caches are in really interesting spots anyway.
Day 9: Port Lincoln.
Out for our morning walk from our accommodation this was the first cache we visited. [^] After finding the cache I found a rock to stand atop and take a phot of the view. [^] And in a first I managed not to fall over!
***Thanks Freddo for putting out this cache and maintaining it for our enjoyment. ***

Super quick find as we walked to the Old Mill and to the Mill Cottage Museum which is closed for winter maintenance so we just wandered around outside. Log book slightly damp but I signed anyway and placed back. TFTC!
Needed an easy find in Port Lincoln after failing to solve Brad and Janet's Doesn't Add Up mystery nearby. And as this is also close to the Port Lincoln Hotel I was able to slip out and find out at night and also take a nice nightscape photo that I will attach to this log.
I wonder where Freddo is tonight... Is he on the way to Uluru or has the requirement to quarantine deterred him from crossing the border?
Thanks for the night cache. Astro would be loving the clear skies and starry view.

Had some spare time between dive coursework so thought we go for a stroll! Lovely views walked from the pier where the fur seal was resting

Well it’s 2021 and I have finally said good bye to a not so great 2020 and it was great to finally be able to have a reasonable holiday as I have not had a decent break since 2019.
Made to South Australia and finally crossing the boarder and then being greeted by a couple of very friendly SA police offices for which i had the official paper work to allow me to enter.
After making my way west along the Eyre Hwy I went as far as Penong and the Eyre Hwy which I have not travelled along since the late 70’s when I was on a holiday with my folks and this was the last holiday before I started full time work as a sparkie and finding a few caches as I go.
Geocaching when towing a van is not always easy and I have to be a bit selective on which ones I decide to try and find for safe parking purposes especially along busy highways.
So after leaving Coffin Bay my next destination is Port Lincoln which is down the bottom of Eyre Peninsular off the Flinders Hwy.
I’m hoping for better weather soon I don’t mind it being cool just not rain showers when you are out and about.
I left Coffin Bay early so I could get set up and make the most of my time here.
Another new day and I got up and about to try and squeeze as much in and the weather is finally looking good.
After visiting the Axel Stenross Maritime Museum which was very interesting I headed up the Hwy a little bit to find a few on the way back in to town.
Parked the Geocruiser and took in the view of what this spot had to other.
Took a few pics then had a quick look and soon had the cache in hand.
I have meet Mr Freddo a couple of times and it is good to find a few of his caches.
Thanks Freddo TFTC.

On a road trip around the Mid North and Eyre Peninsula, geocaching as I go. Predominantly targeting old caches, solved mysteries and grabbing some interesting looking traditionals.
After checking in to the campground and setting up my tent, it was time to head in to Port Lincoln got some dinner and a few caches.
After a nearby DNF, I walked over here to make a quick find.
Thanks for the cache Freddo the Chocolate Frog.

My first cache in Port Lincoln, and look, a familiar CO. I’ve been seeing familiar names in logs all day, and the state feels quite small all of a sudden. Nice view! Thanks Freddo.

Thanks for the enjoyable walk up to this park. Great view. Thanks for your cache too.
This weekend, I joined gridge98 on a trip to Eyre Peninsula, primarily visiting Port Lincoln and its surroundings. We saw its famous marina full of trawlers, and we also ended up visiting Coffin Bay and enjoyed fresh oysters. A nice weekend with weather, and certainly a great vicinity to see.
After having a successful day yesterday, we awoke with motivation and optimism for the day that was ahead of us. However after having our first geocache find, a rock had hit the vehicle's oil sump, leaving the car inoperable and requiring the car to be towed to a mechanic in Port Lincoln. The morning was then spent addressing the vehicle's repair plan, and then trying to salvage the remainder of our weekend's plans. We walked around the centre of Port Lincoln, before finding a hire vehicle for us, and then the afternoon was spent driving around the area. It was interesting seeing Port Lincoln's marinas and also caught glimpse of the shark cages. We ended up drowning our sorrows in the evening (whilst celebrating gridge98's birthday) at the craft brewery, which was probably a highlight of the day.
Our final cache of the day, and I was surprised that this SPOR hasn't been disturbed in the past to keep this cache container here. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Freddo the Chocolate Frog for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

Wells Freddo cache hidden like this? Hmm maybe it’s not what it once was! Cache is all good though
Well what a day it was, a day filled with more downs than ups and but overall a few caches were found in and around port Lincoln. Davidwazza and I headed to the Eyre Peninsula for a weekend away to clean up as much as we could and collect a few new LGAs for Davidwazza. This morning 2nd cache in we ended up cracking the oil sump in the car and having to sort out what to do and how to fix the issue. Lucky a mechanic was at hand and a prolonged trip was soon scheduled and a hire car was in hand. I guess things happen when you use a car for things that it’s not made to do.
Other than that a great day out.
Thanks for the cache
