PB1973 I found your cache Rusting relics on 31/7/2023, 10:55 am. This is my find 5917 and find # 5 today. Found it after a brief search. Lovely rusty truck. Thanks for the cache, mate! TNSLLN
Quick little cache finding session while my son has a flying lesson at Kybong. Beautiful views from this location.
Well, finally the weather has decided it will allow us a few days of dry camping (not totally dry, there WILL be a few lagers involved! ).
Our target area is Gympie and a few rural spots northwest.
NOOOO!
Definitely not on the old wreck.
... but found it quickly we did.
Made our mark & replaced as found.

Found at 10:55 AM GAFF5 in the company of Liz and Bruce, Snakepitters and Team JLBL.
Wow - now that took a bit longer - no drive-by find with this one! The wreck is slowly being covered by grass and fallen timber as well.
Thanks PB1973

Day 3 and our final at Kandanga, and again we were out with Liz & Bruce, PPRass and JLBL, Started off nice and civilized driving around the area, stopping at Kenilworth for luch and then off to finish the day on some 4WDing for Predater. A great day and a few fav points given.
Sometimes having too many eyes is just a distraction, and found after someone else had checked. A smiley non the less obtained.

Completed with the group. Staying in the area for a few days. Thanks for showing us this area. Fav point liked the outlook. Hi Bruce hope you're well.
Caching today with Snakepitters, PPrass & Liz and Bruce, even with all of us looking took a bit. Cacher instinct useful here
Had an enjoyable time with the SPREGTH (for Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, GrannySmith1947, TMZ59 and Hatzofff) Team. So happy to meet them again just like the good old days.
Thanks for the cache powellbruce. Nice quick find by the Team.

Catching up on some logging today, so a bit of a generic log, I'm afraid.
I was caching with Snickersallan, Patrol14, hatzofff, E Smiley, grannysmith1947, and TMZ 59, giving rise to the team name of SPREGTH. Although not fully operative yet, I was able to tag along to most of the caches we found. Some Events brought us into this area.
No, it wasn't on the relic at all. Thankfully a quick find as it was raining and the grasses were wet!
Log signed and cache replaced as found on May 2nd 2021. TFTC, PB1973.

Another adventure for the weekend to attend events on the sunshine coast with Snickersallan, Patrol14, RoddyC, E Smiley, grannysmith1947 , team TMZ 59, hatzofff (team of SPREGTH) to chase down some more smiles.
Nice quick find when we got to the correct side.

Day two of our long weekend away at Platypuscove Homestay caching in the local district with geo friends, patrol14, RoddyC, E_Smiley, grannysmith1947, TMZ59, hatzofff and to save space on the logs, we signed as Team SPREGTH.
Great piece of old history residing in the bush, didn't take the team long to spot the good hide.

The places caching can take you! I love these tranquil 'out-of-the-way' locations. Tftc powellbruce
I had detoured off the highway today to venture along some back roads and after grabbing another cache further south saw a couple of green dots further north. The GPS kept telling me to do a U turn and it appeard that the roads weren't joined on the map, but I kept going along the road anyway and soon arrived near GZ.
After having read the previous logs and enjoying the view, I ventured over to where I had GZ and made a quick find. Coords were spot on for me today.[^]
It appears to have been visited by armchair cachers whose names didn't appear in the logbook. The last name in the log is ATTheLakeHouse and then those before them.
Not to worry, it was a find for me.
Once the log was signed all was returned as found.

Must have a case of cache blindness today! Loved the view and exploring this road so will be back
Really lovely views! And I saw a beehive in the ground - lucky I didn’t go foraging at the base of that tree . Clue is a technicality. Tftc
After a DNF, I made my way to this cacchee. Caching mojo back, I found this one quickly. After adding my name to the log, I returned the cache to its spot, then continued on my way. TFTC
Out exploring south of Gympie.
We dropped by this one and I headed in.
Soon spotted the hide and had the cache in hand.
Signed the log and returned to where I found it.
TNLNSL TFTC Thanks powellbruce All good with this cache

Out on the back roads finding a few caches today.
This was our third cache today.
The cache was found easy enough.
The log was signed and returned to the cache and the cache replaced exactly as found.
All is good with this cache.
Find #1271

Fantastic views from by GZ. Started searching for the cache with no avail so had to resort to reading the hint and then it was spotted quite quickly. TFTC powellbruce
This one took us quite some time. The clue is spot true but led us to avoid the said object quite widely which we should not have.
Out and about doing some geocaching before I head home from my short trip home. Was good to see new geocaches around the area.
I was a little worried on approach, but I'm glad the cache was hidden whee it was

I dropped by the rusting relic early morning
There was a great view from up here.
The smoke from the burnoffs in the hills was forming beautiful swirls and waves across the forests.
The early morning inversion layer trapping the spoke in the lower level of the atmosphere
Not a good time of year to suffer from asthma
A closer inspection of the relic,
and a cache was quickly found

On our way from Nanango to Bundaberg for 5 days. Worth the detour to Gympie to grab 4. Then to Maryborough for one then to Hervey Bay for 5 then to Bargara.
This was no 2 on our list for today.Arrived very close to this one. Parked safe. Good hide. Did not take long to find. Very good views from here. Clever Hide. Signed log YOF as that is what I use on micro and small log sheets to save space on the paper.TFTC powellbruce

Found @ 1225 today
The local cachers have had 2 days to find these new hides of powellbruce, just couldn't help myself
I was going to save these for a future rainy day, but I know the CO would be anxious for someone to find them
TFTC and the *FTF* powerbruce
PS thanks for the TB will launch soon
