We had a great day today, driving out to Mudgee via Coolah and Gulgong, managing 37 finds including 7 trigs in perfect weather, if a little hot at times.
We did check the guard rail first...
A quick diversion and we had the better spot. Cache a little damp, not bad though considering the weather recently. TFTC

I'm leaving the new Mrs Mister JD at home while I go to care for my aged Mum in Brisbane for a couple of weeks while my brother visits his grandkids in Sydney. I'm looking forward to seeing
mum but sad to be leaving my wife at home. I'm taking four days for the trip because
I want to find caches, and long trips are way in my past due to my crook back. Caching is ideal as I can stop and start practically as I like. Today's leg is home to Dubbo. I got off to a late start, and found the traffic out of Canberra was horrendous, so I took a back road just out of town, and finished up doing part of a power trail before I got to Yass. I really enjoyed that road, but took too long and found only a few more on the rest of the day. I did stop quite a few times for my back and to give Sophie GeoSchnauzer a bit of a run. Sophie is a bit sad, we have just lost her lifetime companion, Oscar GeoSchnauzer at the ripe old age of fifteen and a half.
This is day 2 of my journey, driving from Dubbo to Tamworth via less traveled ways. We started in Dubbo, collecting caches, fuel and supplies, then headed to Dunedoo, then on to Coolah, Breeza and Carroll. finding caches and a couple of delightful power trails along the way.
Nice one. I was going to pass throughg here, but I just liked the look of this road, so I went along it a bit to find a few more. Enjoyed it immensely.
Find no 11 of 25 today. Thanks, smee1961

While staying Tamworth for a few days, I ran out of caches to find
So, I grabbed my geodog Scruffy and decided to find a few caches further afield.
And this was one of them ...
All Good .. TFTC ..

Camping in the Coolah Tops NP, and did some caching around Coolah. Easy find, log wet TFTC .
Next on the trail out west, a little sojourn from the parking spot, through some longish grass, to an obvious spot. Nice container, but seems to be leaking, as the log is damp, but writable. TFTC.
On our way back towards Dubbo we followed this trail. Thanks for placing and maintaining the trail. The caches was found quickly and we made our way to the next one.
Out and about for a new years day caching run from dubbo to Coolah, Binnaway and back home through Mendooran with brother aussieben in tow. Great afternoon full of laughs and smileys!
Staying at Coolah for a couple of days to find the caches in this lovely litttle town. We decided to walk around Coolah this morning to find any that could be easily reached on foot. We found six and had only one DNF.
Great variety of containers and hides.

Left Blackall after the QOGM event, heading south for St. Arnaud event next month. Day 48 of our trip. Caching along the way. A total of 2 caches for the day and 1543 for the trip. TFTC
Many thanks for putting these caches out and maintaining them all the caches that we did today where in great shape, we were heading home with a drive from Dubbo to Maitland from seeing the Family, and heard this detore had a few caches for us, we also heard that there was a good Pie shop in Coolah "Coolah Bakery" just on the right as you get into town, well it was one of the best pies around for geocaching the one that you can drive with it in one hand and not slop it down your arm Oh and they taste great as well highly recommended, really love the area and the fact most containers where different yes a few minties but you need them but all in all we had a great 2 hours of caching from Coolah to 30 kms north or so to king and I , and what's more the geowife was happy as well win win , so we have done the approach from Dubbo and north of the town we will be back to finish the rest off in the near future another family trip thanks again, I will stamp pad this log
Found while enjoying a cycle around town. We left our caravan parked at the nearby golf course and have thoroughly enjoyed today’s expedition.
Tonight we have set our van up at the free camp at the golf course for the night. Once set up we head out to find the caches in the area. We really enjoyed caching in this sleepy little town. Afterwards we went back to our van and got changed before going to the country club for a nice feed and to put a few bucks through the pokies.

Travelling from Mudgee to Tamworth via Coolah. Thanks to all the COs for placing the caches and showing us around your region.
Coming back from Quenbeyan Mega Event at Easter and decided to do a few caches in Coolah while visiting the CO. Explained the situation with this cache to CO. TFTC smee1961
Day 2 of my trip to the Clear Waters Mega. Going from Narrabri to Dubbo in a non-linear fashion, to make sure I cover lots of local government areas. All good with this cache. TFTC!
Caching around Coolah with my Geowife. Good to see so many great caches.
The recent rainstorm has played havoc with a lot of caches unfortunately.'
All OK. TFTC

I was working in town today and also needed a trad for the calendar - happily Coolah is a good place for this! I remember a friend and I tried to watch the movie this cache is named for many many years ago .... tried is the key word here .... we kept talking over it and having to rewind the tape to watch the bits we missed (yes, that's how long ago it was!) I actually can't remember if we ever managed to finish it, might have to find a copy and give it another chance.

Great to see more new caches since our last visit to Coolah. This was a nice spot for a large cache and as we hadn't been up this road before we continued on. Yes, it's not hard to see how geocachers get led by a trail of caches and forget about their destinations. TFTC smee1961.
Surprising the things you find in caches. There were a couple of what seemed to be lovely scarves. Took nothing. Thanks for the cache.
A quick find after having set up camp at Coolah Tops and survived the cold nights.
On a family drive from Newcastle to Dubbo. Decided to swing by Coolah and grab some lunch and a few caches in the way.
A quick park and grab. TNLN TFTC

Back in Coolah for my yearly visit and soooooo pleased to find even more caches to find. Loved driving along the Neilrex Road - beautiful countryside and so quiet and serene. TFTC
After leaving Dubbo we headed to Coolah for an over night stay & to locate the many caches in the area. Placing all the caches in town must be a boost for the local area.
Thanks for placing this cache smee1961

Parked one side & crossed the bridge on foot, carefully. Actually Coolah was very busy today & a count of 4WDs parked in the main street gave the prize to Toyota. Not convinced. Thanks.
A nice sized cache as we started our drive westwards, an easy find under the watchful gaze of muggle cows.
Found it its easy to find just look for blue and black paint platters on the cache.
Rounding up a few final caches for 2017 on New Years Eve in the Coolah area! Happy caching in 2018, thank you for the cache! ; )
Stopping overnight in Coolah, and took advantage to find some local caches. Nice to find a good sized cache. TFTC smee1961.
I used to live not far from this cache site. Visiting friends for a week so very happy to be first to find! Thanks for the cache!!
