Found stage 1 after a bit of a search - our coords were actually S35 01.337 E138 37.649. Couldnt find stage II though - the obvious hiding spot at GZ was empty, and couldnt find anything else within 10m. Nice spot for a Sunday walk, though.

What else could we do on a warm Monday night? I know geocaching. So setting off at 2130, at the request of MissAdventure ([:o]), we packed all of TeamLangy (GeoLab Steve included) into the GeoCruiser!

While "running" (yeah right) back to the car to get some paper to write down the coords of cache 2 down I (Langy!) spotted a suspicious looking hiding place. I was right! So we wrote down the coords - punched them into the Garmin and set off.

Ok now it is nearly 2200 and while I think we would have otherwise enjoyed the walk and the scramble MissDemeanour was less than thrilled with the level of ambient light and hence kept switching on her torch! Sad

After a 'short' struggle to get the GPSr to lock onto the satellites we found ourselves at ground zero and again I spied a suspicious looking hiding place. After a quick prod with a stick we had the all clear and the rest was the mundane log and swap.

Took (another) frog and left a toyworld mascot figurine and a 1948 half penny.

Thanks Kevin - we enjoyed the challenge. Big Grin

Did the first part of this about 4 months ago, then the weather got crappy, and we abandoned until today. Found quickly after a short walk. Left bottle opener, took paint brush. Thanks Kevin.

Another one that took 2 attempts. The clues were spot on but I suspect the co-ords are a little bit off as the GPS took us to exactly the wrong spot twice. It's not off by more than 10-15 meters though and it's obvious when you use the clues. Goesniffer paid off here and on the second part too. Took Mutley and left a candle.

Found this one on a pleasant Sunday afternoon of caching. We were looking for stage 1 one when this scary hillbilly cacher jumped from behind a tree and startled us. Luckily it was just KK and not a lost Bigfoot. He stayed and watched us grab stage 1 then invited us in for coffee.

After Coffee with the K-Man, thanks Kev, it was off to stage two. Was a short drive to stage two and a quick walk down to the cache site. Found it quickly and swapped a nice pen and a RJ-11 to Telstra plug adapter for a headset.

Whilst with Kev we hatched a cunning plan for a new multi by Kev and the HardUnits. It will be out soon, so look out.

I punched the first co-ords into the gps and stepped outside the door and realised it was about 20mtrs from where i was stood which made that part easy ,
later in the day we went down to the location of the acctual cache and found it with-out to much trouble .
Thanks dad . DEAN

Drove around the first location for a while before deciding to wander around the approximate area. GPS wasn't behaving itself, so I crossed back and forth a few times. So many places where a container can hide! With one last attempt before resorting to the maccamob hintline, I checked a suspicious looking spot (why else would a rock be there?) and found what I was looking for!

Did a couple of nearby caches before finishing this one. Slowly made my way around the windy roads until I reached a likely parking area. Off for a walk down the track and a bit of bush bashing. Oops, found myself beside a fence! Scrambled over to the other side and kept walking, before realising I had been on the right side after all. Nice hiding spot - cache was well protected, and guarded by a small lizard. Didn't make any swaps this time, but enjoyed the walk and drive! Thanks Kevin.

After finding part 1, we thought we'd have an excuse to lock the hubs in, but we didn't. Lucky that part 2 was in a nice little area so we weren't too depressed, nice little hidey-hole as well. Grabbed the Dragon Reading software and left a PC game. Cache 60.

Found by Mary & David at 1620. Spotted cache #1 as we drove up. What a lovely surprise to meet Mrs Kevin and children and be invited in for a cold drink, which we really appreciated on a warm afternoon. Then off to find GZ #2. A pleasant walk in, and the cache hiding spot stood out from a fair way off. Took a mobile phone car charger, left Jane Eyre audio book. Many thanks to Kevin and family. See you on Sunday?

Found by ThomasS and WS. Yes, the first part was hard to find – about 30m off by my calculation, but the clue helped! The second one was accurate, and nice and easy to find. There was some nice things in there too, but we didn’t have anything to swap, so nothing was swapped…
Thanks.

After the first visit we sought some advice from the source. The advice was pretty much a regurgitation of the cheat. Thanks Kev. Still these were the clues on hand.

The GPS was still giving a GZ in Kev's drive. Hmm, Checked all the obvious sites. Nothing.

Then a brave move. Do the old switch off, switch on. The instrument settled down and offered a different direction, and low and behold I wasn't trying to look under somebodies letter box.

Using a very useful piece of paper we were off to the next location. What a clever idea.

Site #2 was, well obvious when you get there.

We swapped the FC reader and the Webster CD for a copy of Dragon Naturally and a headset set. Try talking to your computer its makes a change from swearing at it.

We too saw the red car with its owner and enjoyed the coffee and company we duly deserved after completing this two part cache. Took the Swift Map and left a pack of Webster CD ROMS.

Maybe I shouldn't log this one considering the help I had finding both Caches. Kevin gave me the big hint last Tuesday night as I stumbled around his woodpile. Today as I approached cache #2 I spied a carefully non-camouflaged red-jacketed Smurf at GZ so I got another easy find.

I took one of the mobile phones (to replace the one I lost at Clare) and left a Swiftmap CD then we headed back to our cars chatting about the geocaching gossip and our RAAF connections.

Thanks Kevin

Found towards the end of another busy afternoon of caching ... the first cache was found quickly, spotted the red sports car but there didn't appear to be anyone home.

Pressed on to cache #2, an example of when the direct route isn't necessarily the easiest!! Left a CF card reader and took the PCMCIA modem for another project ...

Just as I was putting everything back into the hidey-hole, a voice boomed out from the distance - What are you doing over there? Thankfully it wasn't a Parks & Wildlife ranger ... only Alex!!

Next time I'll wear a jacket that blends into the trees a bit better Red Face

Thanks Kevin!!

Found by Team GeoCoopers.
Hmm who's was that red little mazda convertable near cache #1 ? Anyone you know Kevin Smile ?
Cache #1 at 12:30 and the final stash shortly after.
Took Stereogram CD and Sully Travel Bug, left Philips FreeStyle Mobile phone and charger.
This one was over all too soon as from the title I was half expecting a 6 stage multi. Oh well maybe another day ...

Went here at about 11:30, only to find the cache coordinates were those of Urban Easy. Decided Kevin had stuffed up and went on to Magpie Gully. Made a call home, and discovered the coordinates had been changed (I've got the original printout). As it turns out it didn't help much. Chris and I wandered up and down the street for ages without luck. For the second time today (and the second time ever), we resorted to asking for help. The owner of a little red sports car invited us two wet people in for a coffee and some pointers. It turns out we missed some addition hints added to the cache notes.

After finally almost being handed cache #1, we raced off to cache #2, and found it at 17:40, with moments to spare before dark.

Left a keychain laser pointer, and took, after much pleading from Chris, the handy scanner, even though I do need a new phone.

Thanks Kev and co. We learnt a lot today about how wet trees affect accuracy.
