Logs
What a nice spot. Have never been down to this part of Porirua before. Still a tricky wee hide. Tftc
Easy grab when no one is around. Good stop on a windy walk and picked up a travel bug too!
Thqnk you Nice one, sometimes it is good just to sit down and enjoy your surroundings
I encountered Michael King, in VUWSA, as a family connection of my first wife and as a friend of my second wife. Thanks for this further connection.
Thanks for taking the time to replace this cache. It's a great one for the kids and for beginners. Will recommend it to others. Tftc.
Cache requires maintenance. Appears the rest of the container has been stripped and tossed by muggles. Container was found in the open. Have put back to get and placed in what I believe the Original location.
I'm not sure why the previous finder is claiming a find - an empty box not hidden anywhere in particular with no log is not a cache, it's a piece of rubbish. However the cache is indeed missing from its intended location and after a hunt around I found it some distance away. Thanks for putting it somewhere "out of the way" but you could have told me where you put it because it doesn't just go in the random location I found it.The nature of the muggle is odd with a very targeted disassembly of the container and removal of the contents. I don't have the items in hand required to replace this immediately so will disable until I do.
Came out with my son (13213). Didn't have much time, so a very good cache for someone who wants to park and find! TFTC
In Wellington for a couple of days as NZIceman is on a course so I’ve joined to cache a new area. After a very frustrating morning due to mobile data issues (yes I had caches saved offline but I had my eye on some ad labs too….sigh) I stopped along here for a nice quick find.
Thanks for the cache.
Thanks for the cache.
Stopped for an impromptu maintenance check mainly because of the stunning view just after sunrise. I had to relocate the cache to its correct position (again) but otherwise all is well.
Quick park and grab with Mummy / Mrs JY. I had the cache in hand before Mummy was even out of the car. TFTC
In Porirua doing some birthday shopping for the geohubby with the 20yr old ninja, and needed to find a cache today for our 7 day streak. Nice little bonding moment with him finding it immediately.. been a while since we geocached together! Interesting sculpture and cache page. TFTC trancer96. Cache in perfect condition.
I'm not sure why I haven't already done this one! Anyway I found myself in Porirua with nothing to do for half an hour, and this was nearby. But I didn't have a pen on me - I considered the photo-of-the-logbook trick but this is a trancer96 cache, who is a bit of a stickler for the rules, so I wasn't sure if that would be acceptable. I was walking past Whitireia - could I find a pen lying in the gutter while I walked to GZ? Then would you believe it, I read in the description that there was a pencil in the container - and would there still be one there, 6 years later?
Not only was there a pencil, there were two! Both sharpened as well! Wow! I'm dropping a FP just for that. Very impressed. (And interesting cache too BTW.)

Looked for this for an alarmingly long time until I found it. Deeply embarassing. Tftc and a trip to a memorial I've never been to!
Well, found a very wet log book. No sign of container. Have put log book in the flax bush. Could not sign.
Stopped by for a maintenance check and things are very weird here. The cache was not where it was supposed to be but not only did I find it but I found two! The previous cache had not gone missing after all but was also in the wrong place (i.e. both were in the same place but in the same wrong place). One was a bit cracked but otherwise both were in good shape. I left the good one in place (the correct place) and took the other home as a backup.
But the weirdness doesn't end there. I was reconciling the logs to make sure all the ones in the removed log were accounted for but many, maybe most logs in the book do not appear to be logged online at all. That's better than logging online without physically signing the log but it does not make the CO's life easy when logs don't match up.

Thanks to the helpful person who I messaged saying the geocache could not be found and that I should log a DNF. I’m
Logging one to say that this is nowhere to be found anymore after seeing it there for a good little while before stopping

Perfect hiding spot and nice to stop and take in the whole sculpture for the first time!

This cache was collected whilst completing the Ad Lab in the area. Fortunately it was a nice quiet night with little to no muggle activity and we were able to make a quick cache find. TFTC

The plan is to do a few caches today in and around Porirua just to give my numbers a bit of a pre x-mas push.
Cache #15 today. Managed to park up right beside this piece of artwork and proceeded to GZ to begin our search. No rush as todays rain is keeping the muggles away however we didn't need long as the Geo-wife had the cache in hand before I even started looking

Decided to replace the cache at least one more time. Archiving next time will depend on how it takes to go missing again.
