Logs
Came up here this afternoon with a local cacher who had already found this, so I jumped out and quickly added my name to the log, TFTC
Great, finally had time to make the little detour to look for this one. Couldn't read description or hint, but after lifting some stones I noticed the blue container. Log was a bit wet although double bagged, added another piece of paper.
It was a nice day to see what has happened far up Aniseed Valley. The real of notice was the amount of pine trees that have been planted. The cache was quickly located. TFTC SoBad.
Our first time out caching in a while, this was our third find of the day just after 2 dnfs. No probs here. TFTC
Very had cache for me to get because we have just walked 14km around the road up to browning hut and the hacket whitch made me have sore feet but any way TFTC
It was not too difficult for me to get my hands on the cache because of my size. TFTC.
#19868. We were in the 'hood to find a puzzle, and thought we would bag us a nearby trad before heading back to SH6. TFTC.
Found with StreetWalkerNZ as we head south from Nelson to Brightwater, Wakefield and beyond, our object today is to find the ad labs in the area as well as solved puzzles and anything else that take our fancy .
This was not far from a solved puzzle, so it made sense to look for this as well. While I turned the car around, SW did the honours. TFTC.

TFTC. A pleasant days caching.
Thank you for all those who placed these caches for others to enjoy.

We were passing nearby and thought where does that road go? Well it leads to this cache! Quick find, thanks SoBad.
quick find on a quiet day getting a few caches to get finds for the day up. TFTC
All safe and sound. Logical place obvious once near. Extremely hot day- walk cut short as canines couldn’t handle it
Quick find with Capperz for a drive up this road. Just a taster for me - many more to get up here, but Capperz had them all and time was not on our side so we headed back after this. TFTC SoBad.
International Geocaching Day today, and with a couple of events on in the top of the south I decided today will be a trip to Nelson, since it seeems I have not been there for yonks.
So a quick catch up with the Boomtown Massive over an eggs bene early doors at the local event, then a drive to Nelson. With an upcoming trip south, I decided I will target a few Nelson caches to fill in holes in the D/T and Hidden Month matrices. This will help clarify what I need to do down there. Sandwiched in between was the Nelson event of course; and a few lesser goals and plan Bs.
As it panned out, it was a reasonably successful day. Caught up with the ephemeral Capperz, who was flitting around the place also, but had managed to ditch the whanau at a mall for long enough to go for a drive up Aniseed Valley road and get a few. Then we went our own ways, and it was some cache maintenance and a drive toward Mapua to get a few just before there, before making the way slowly back down a less busy road. A 20+ day and good fun. Logs signed ricardinho, ric.nz or RP where space is limited. Thanks to all the COs.

End of the road for us today and this brief foray has gathered 4 caches. Time to go our separate ways - next, and get on with our respective target caches. Decent Q E F here and replaced as found. T F T C SoBad.
Heading away from the local Geocaching event and espied ricardinho.nz searching for a cache, surprise surprise. Did a u-turn and followed him and decided we would cache together for a bit before I'm required for further chauffeur duties.
Today is International Geocaching Day, and also one of my few remaining 3-days which I have made it my last target to convert to a better than 3-day, if possible. After hosting a small and modest event of my own over in Marlborough with a shocking start time of 0700 it was time to head home, collect the family and head over the hill to get the new car sorted. The Dualis, aka Qashqai, aka Cache-qai is the new geomobile and needs a replacement windscreen and the garage only accept Nelson as the replacers so a trip was in order. We left before 8.30 and with a timing of before 1000 to be met there was no hanging around. Car was dropped off with the promise it would be ready by 12 and we headed off to the market, the shops, and a coffee at the Lambretta place. All was good and the car collected around 1150 so I had hopes of making the Brighwater event after all. Dropped the girls at the Richmond Mall and arrived chez Brightwater cafe around 1215 and there were still a few hardy souls around.
Good to catch up with a few regulars and some decent chats before I headed off to Aniseed Valley for some pre-solved cache finds. As it was I met up with the ephemeral Ricardinho.nz and we paired up for a few dual-Marlborough searches and finds- yay.

Back in the area today with the hope of a FTF (not to be ) and diverted off the main road to grab this one on the way.
All in good order - quickly found, signed log and replaced as found.
If searching round the tyre, watch out for the wasp nest.

A quick find while in the area with SJT_NZ doing some walking, TFTC all in good order
GK used to hunt further up this valley, so it was a nice time for him to remember those days as he signed the log. Thanks for another smiley
Grabbed this one whilst in the area collecting puzzle caches. Nice easy find. tftc
Another onesie day today; enough time to go a little way but not enough to go too far.
So this cache seemed to fit the bill. A lovely lunchtime drive along the valley in an area we've recently rediscovered for walking (and caching).
After a quick nose at the 'feature' I got down to business...a quick find once I trusted what I was being told by the GPS.
Thanks

After attending an event we took advantage of the weather and went for a cruise up the valley. The shady parts of the road were still frosty but enough traffic had already gone through to bed in the grit so we had a good grip It was a quick find before we toddled off back home for a relaxed afternoon. Thank you SoBad
After an enjoyable Event we decided it was too nice a day to go straight home so a look on the map told us a trip up this valley would net us a cache as well. Lots of heavy frost about still mid afternoon and enough on the road as well to ensure careful driving.
The cache was a quick find once at GZ.
Thank you SoBad.

Assume the cache named by nearby feature. Cache quickly found and signed.
Have biked up this road many times in the past. Up Goat hill and drop down just before Hacket Hut.
Thanks a lot SoBad

Back here today with Mr FTF in tow. He stood back while I checked a couple of places I hadn't checked on my first visit. Finally gave my GPS due respect and let it point the way. Coordinates spot on and cache quickly found. TFTC, Biggles.
Got the call to see if I was interested in a wee trip up this valley so after I had completed a few responsibilities Sidewaze and I headed up early afternoon. GPS took ages to settle and in the meantime lead me here, then right up there before heading back. At that point I started reading the description out and while I was doing that the cache was found in a place I had already looked. Well obviously I didn't get a grip that first time! thanks for bringing me back up this lovely vally SoBads. TFTC # 10,699
After a flurry of caches published overnight i had time after golf to head out and find a couple.
A quick park and grab.

Well. I went caching this morning but still there was this feeling this afternoon that maybe I should come up here for a look around too. Contacted Isis to see if she was interested. Yes she was so after a while the search began - - - then after another while we decided to get a grip and have a proper look where the GPS indicated - - - and sure enough there was the cache . Thanks !
DNF - I just couldn't get a grip on the cache with my frozen fingers this morning.
FTF! I noticed this one still hadn't been logged so decided to do the quick lunch time dash. I had a meeting to get back to so timing was going to be tight. The road in was certainly not very grippy today but slowly I safely made my way to gz. Ahh maybe that would be useful on this road in winter was my first thought. Hopped out of the car and found the cache nice and quickly. It was visible in its location and I didn't think the CO would leave it like that. However, the log appeared to be blank so maybe I'm wrong. No coverage to check so the executive decision was made to tuck it back in slightly less visible than found. Still nice and easy to find for the next visitor though. Thanks SoBads for the cache. 2 new ones on the same day. Extra nice!
