Found during a caching foray around the greater Gawler area for the morning before heading home through the hills. Thanks for the cache Mattycat!
James0116 was working close to my home today Hence a lunchtime call ended up in our heading out caching together after he finished workCaching around Gawler area, we never actually got to Evanston where we both had caches to find and had planned to start because, you know, cache distractions everywhereI managed 4 finds and even got the Subaru in where I didn't think I'd get itLots of laughs, chatting and a pole cache after dark made for some fun Gorgeous weather made for a lovely evening[:X] so we did Duck up here for a drive by....... Ummmm, fly by! We'd both been wanting to find these caches since we rode the PATOG together so tonight was the night[^]Yes, there are still ants around and a few bites werre taken from our bodies! The cache made us laugh though although I'm still not sure how the hint relates[?]TNLN. One last find for the day in the last bit of daylight. As per previous logs, be careful of ants at GZ. TFTC
loved this cache, can definitely see why its called what it is. plenty of ants around, be aware when retrieving. thanks for the cache
Took the mobility scooter with me and made a start to get some of this Port Adelaide to Gawler trail done, as well as some adventure labs. Most caches were in good condition, but some are starting to get bittle making the top to break when undoing. Collected 39 over the couple days and 30 adventure lab caches. TFTC

My weekly Tuesday Trekking caching day was cancelled due to some very bad weather. It was subsequently replaced by a Friday Frolic. [^] I picked up S.A. Sewer Rat from the rat's nest to grab a few caches in the area and attend a local cache maker's event. A shortish but fun day clearing a few caches that continually popped up on my GPS. Nice to have a few different ones pop up now.
I am always reminded of the old joke when I see these. Mmmm looks like - smells like - feels like - tastes like.....phew-luckly I didn't step in it! [B)] Instead I signed a log book in it!

Southern Autumn adventure Day 44. Mid North section of SA trip Day 15. Gawler Day 3. The weather was quite a bit better then the last few days, and it was time to get out on the bike trails to do some PATOG caches. I managed to go too far for my poor scooter and had to walk the last three km's back to the car. Other than that today's section of trail went pretty well, much better than sections later in the week. After that exercise was over, I went onto some back roads for solved puzzles and other miscellaneous caches I was able to get to before I ran out of energy.
This was a little bit different, but I did it while out on the bike trail. It almost looks like it used to be a caravan park of some sort.
Thanks for the cache Mattycat

This was our tenth of 11 finds for the day on our caching morning with alisonborgas74. It was a lovely day for an amble along the NEXY bike trail. Us mums had a leisurely chat while the geokids did the hunting. This was a little more challenging than the 10 patog series caches we found today, particularly because we approached it from the wrong side of the fence but it wasn't long before the sneaky cache was in hand. TFTC
Today I decided to head out on my bike and do a few more of the PATOG Series.
A slight detour off the track or rather a bit of a back track to grab this one.
Did this used to be a camping area? Why is there caravan power poles amongst these trees?

Easy but hard find. Ants everywhere BE CAREFUL. This one was interesting, my partner and I had a great chuckle.
Day 12, week 2 of 5 weeks holiday.
Rockhampton Queensland to all over South Australia.
18 degrees, feels like 15 (amazing what a brisk walk can do)
Apologies, there is going to be a lot of copy/paste today.
I have decided to walk the trail of caches while Buttons goes and does a McClouds Daughters tour nearby.
What better use I could put my time to than wandering down a highway while I wait.
Hope she can find me when she’s done. ??
While this one wasn’t part of the PATOG series, I can never resist when something is so close by.
I can’t believe how long I stood there looking practically right at the cache.
The first I have seen of it’s type, love it.
Log signed (first on the new paper, nearly couldn’t get it back in), cache replaced.
Note to self: get off the ants nest before logging.

Out today to finish off the PATOG series and pick up a few others nearby.
It's taken 5 months with a few months off over winter.
A quick find, glad it wasn't the real thing.

Out for a long bike ride with Uni and Medusa along the Northen Expressway and beyond. We parked a vehicle at each end and took the mountain bikes along the trails - 48.9kms and 115 caches in around 5 hours.
The bike trail allows one to see a lot more at 20kmh than whizzing past in a car at 110kmh. There is interesting WWII history in amongst the market gardens and salt flats. I really enjoyed the massive redgums and lushness around the Gawler River. On a hot day one would want to take plenty of water, there isn't a lot of shade or facilities along some of the stretches.
This cache almost beat us. As I was leaving I read some of the previous logs and suddenly I went back for another look and voila....
AND it turned out to be my 6000th cache. I didn't realise at the time. What a crap cache to find for 6000 finds.
This cache was found at 1:18:00 PM and was 109 of 116 finds today.
Apologies for the generic log but it is a powertrail. Thanks Mattycat

Finally the weather cooled a bit - time for a nice stroll with the Dogs. Nice quick find, but THOSE ANTS!!!! TFTC:-)
Today I headed to gawler to go for a 5 hour ride, on my way up there stopped at a few unfound caches.
After missing these 2 caches out here the other day whilst doing the nexy trail (now archived) I returned on foot to find these 2.
A bit if a laugh after I found the cache hide on the other side of the fence. Log book needs replacing soon only has a few spots left.

Walked here from Nexy 44 on a warm day, keeping an eye out for snakes. I knew which ever side of the fence I chose, it would be the wrong side, although in this instance it didn’t really matter.
I’ve been caching for over a year now and this is the first one of these I’ve seen. A clear winner of the 5 caches collected today. Thanks for the smile (both of them) Mattycat.
You can walk from this one directly across to near Nexy 46 if you were wondering - wasn’t clear in my app.

Out and about with Felixll today gathering a few of the unfound caches around Gawler.
Being out-of-towners, it took us a while to find the entry point to this cache, but it was plain sailing once we did. Thanks Mattycat.
This cache was found on our Geocaching road trip from Perth to Millicent for the GeoVenture2020 Event.

We have hooked up with iluvtrekking as we cache our way to Millicent for GeoVenture 2020..... oops no we aren't we are just out doing best practice for social distancing. Go Geocaching!
This took a bit of effort until we realised the 'correct' parking point rather than just guessing! Grr.

Today we learnt about Anna and found most of the series. We were also lucky enough to meet Lava12 and share cache finds. Later we were spoilt when we were offered to share cake with erine14, alysse14, Clare007 and CPwanderer. We also found two caches together - a good day. Later in the day we walked some of the NEXY, part of a river and we travelled out to the coast. Thanks to all those who made our day enjoyable.

It was only after delving into past logs, the penny dropped and the cache was in hand [^]

Headed out after work to clear up some more of the Nexy Challenge. Decided to do some walking rather than bringing the bike so I still have an odd few ones left to do where I decided the walk was too far or if I missed a parking spot.
It was great that earthlight had replaced a few that I hadn't been able to find last time.
Ended up with 15 finds for the afternoon which I was happy with, particularly as I didn't leave work on time due to a black jigsaw getting in the way.
With more time on my hands this time I parked at the suggested coordinates and made the walk to find this one. Last time I hadn't been keen to ride my bike along the gravel worried I would get a puncture 15kms from the car. Fun find here. TFTC Mattycat glad I made the walk!

WOO HOO!!!
Found it while back on the prowl searching for the “Mystery At The Museum” with MyLittleSpyEye and MyEagleEyes!

found after the A new place to clean CITO heading north for the day. No i didn't miss one. I haven't found the other nexy caches either. I like cp's power trails more. I did park and walk to this one just so i didn't park on the freeway to find it.
After visiting Gawler over several years at my sisters place, it was about time that we got out and rode the Nexy. Started at the Gawler end, just sat on the bikes and the heavens opened up, by the time we got onto the Nexy it had stopped and the sun was out. I didn't know that we had shifted to Melbourne so quickly. Not to be deterred on we went to our designated turn around point, the second of the puzzle Nexy caches. Had to replace a couple of logs and containers. Great day TFTC Mattycat
Oh crap that's horrible. Took me a little while to sniff this one out. Thanks, I think.
This is one of two that have been showing up quite regularly on our map as we drive through here, today we had the time while down in the area with thekellygang to turn them into smilies enjoyed he stroll to GZ happy to see all the grass had been slashed, easy find at GZ with another themed hide love your work and a fav point for not another mint tin

Out with Doctor Owl for a few caches near home.

Having fulfilled a daughterliness duty (yes, that's a word, Owl looked it up!) in the morning Owl felt she had earnt some caching R&R. Finding a willing victim... oops, accomplice... in SA Sewer Rats, she set out to help the Rat clean out Gawler and get herself closer to the same goal. This was one of the target caches. And looking at the map, Owl must have parked right on top of another she missed!
HaHa I love caches that make me smile. Thanks for the walk.

Was going to this one as I had done the others nearby but as I was riding along a brown snake came out of the grass and headed in the direction of this cache. I decided that this one can wait.
You could have also called this cache 'Wrong Way - Go Back,' as this is near where the bike track originally joined the NEXY . It was some time later that the entrance was moved further south next to the new trotting track .

Thanks again Mattycat.

So this was a caravan park once. Probably a little noisy now with the wooshing. Or was it the overflow for the glider expos? Remember signs are like fairies, you only believe in them if you want to.

Bit of cross country with the pram to get this one. 6kms for 1 cache today. Great winter weather for it though, so I'm not complaining lol. Great camo.

Me? I'm dishonest and you can always expect a dishonest man to be dishonest. Honestly. It's the honest ones you want to watch out for, because you can never predict when they're going to do something incredibly....stupid.
Just happened to be going past GZ when this was published, but wasn't until I exited the expressway to know that.
Anyways. Found the parking spot and headed for GZ.
Managed to find and sign within 17 mins of publishing, and over 40 kms from home!
Nice work on the cammo, it is a gap filler for sure...
Dropped my *FTF* geocoin in too...
