The location where the cache is located has disapeared. Time to go little cache
Found the tool but not the cache. There are some construction works going on next to GZ, I wonder if that has affected the cache since it was last found?
A slow start despite having visited the mystery abbey. Took a few goes to get the right name. Once I had it I was off to the mystery door. Impressive. Enjoyed the hide the tool and the location. FP.
I solved the puzzle quite a while ago with a bit of educated guessing and googling. I finally got to the GZ today. Aside from the door itself, I really loved the the design of the cache and the provision of the tool. Lots of construction work muggles but I managed not to get noticed. TFTC!
I must say I'm generally adverse to puzzle caches but I've found a couple recently nd the thought of this interesting door drew me to this one and back again, nagging at me to "Just have a go!" Thankfully I found the right way to use the instructions to the name of the Abbey and then thought "I've seen that name..." Of course, I often walk past here on my way home.
So I found the tool and spent time fudging around because I misread the cache description. Then realised GZ and couldn't attempt to retrieve because, well, muggles. Quite a few of them suddenly, of course they came in dribs and drabs limiting my available incognito time.
10 minutes to scurry back to work. I loved every aspect of this cache; the story in the description, the puzzle, the location, the hide. Thank you.

I knew I was going to be staying around here somewhere and this cache drew my attention - partly for the interesting mystery and also because of the 'Honi Soit' reference which is of course the Sydney University student newspaper! Location was fairly easily figured out once I downloaded the image and did a bit of google street-viewing. I snuck out early on Sunday morning and easily extracted the cache without too much trouble. What impressive gates and a fabulous house! When we walked past later that day a passer-by saw us staring at the house and told us a little bit about it. None of which I can now remember. TFTC! +1fp
Heading over to Sydney for a few days on another business trip so had a look last night for a few caches to pick up while here. Not being a local I had no idea where this door was but being from the UK originally I did know the hint picture A quick look at the map and a check on Streetview and I had GZ locked in Arrived after dark and was amazed how busy this road was... I literally had to hang around for 15mins waiting for smokers, walkers, people parking / returning to their car, cyclists, to all leave so I could make the grab! Lol. Container was quickly spotted and the tool easily located - and the log easily retrieved once I had that quiet moment And what a fantastic entrance - I couldn’t see what was on the other side as it was dark but very intrigued to know! Thanks for bringing me here and for the great hide. It’s a fave point from me TFTC
After disappointment at a muggled mystery nearby, we strolled over to attempt this one, which I'd recently solved in reverse.
As we approached GZ we noticed some construction work going on but, thankfully, the cache is not presently affected.
We'd brought our own tool but the one provided was found straight away so we used that and soon had the log signed.
Nice idea. Thanks 2qt2bstr818, have a favourite point.

Found with Mr MR who'd solved this puzzle having some knowledge of the subject. The mystery "door" is superb and the hide beautifully bold. Thanks for bringing us into the interesting back streets of this area 2qt2bstr818. Please accept a favourite from me too.
Solved this cache puzzle last year but scooped out the GZ last week, I couldn’t find the tool but worked out the location of the cache. Came back today for a quick retrieval with a tool from home. Thanks

My lunchtime walk from CBD let me this time to two caches around Kings Cross. This puzzle cache was solved a long time ago, but finally I was in the area.
The doors are intriguing and I wonder what mansion is behind the gate (note to myself: check Google Earth once back).
The tools and box were quickly found and then the cache was logged.

Another great cache by 2qt2bstr818. After solving the mystery of the door it took no time at all to find the tott and open the cache container.
Had this one solved some time ago using a few different methods, Thanks for the awesome puzzle. Arrived at GZ and thought I ran into a few issues with no sign of the tool whatsoever. I checked a little harder and soon had it in hand. It all unraveled after that TFTC
After a deal of googling I finally found out the name of the abbey, but not before trying other methods using the information provided in the description. Thanks for another fun cache Sir. Now to get back to GeoConstellations.
Found with Durham Ranger. Lovely walk around in Darlinghurst. Check out my darling at darlinghurst blog for historical info on the area.
Didn't solve the puzzle, instead used geosenses and Google maps to plot a strategy that took us right to GZ and the cache. The rest was straightforward. Had an interesting conversation with a passing muggle who was able to give us some history of the property.
Great urban cache.
Great urban cache.
As it happens, earlier this year, Ms Atalanta and I visited the "secret" place in England that plays the clue to this cache.
Having established the name, the rest was not at all difficult.

Early finish Friday caching opportunity! Solved this one at work this afternoon in my break and plotted a line of finds to make. Impressive gates and a great style urban hide. Dropped a TB. Cheers!
Having a science / engineering background, one thing I really love about Geocaching is the comfort and certainty of knowing a precise and accurate destination for GZ found in a set of coordinate numbers. This cache did not give me that, which gave me a small amount of anxiety. :p
Having solved the clue I had a rough idea of where to look for the cache, and ventured to the general location. My fears and anxiety were unfounded, as I found the correct spot within seconds of approaching the right area.
The next wave of anxiety was the result of trying to extract the cache in broad daylight during a weekday lunchtime: there were not too many muggles around but enough to make the job difficult. Times like this I wish I had appropriate cloaking devices that some other cachers use to look inconspicuous in these types of situations.
Timing my work, I quickly grabbed the tool and then waited for the appropriate moment to extract the cache, sign the log and replace as found, as quickly as I could.
Ballsy hide, fun, interesting location. TFTC 2qt2bstr818!

Fortunately I was able to improvise a tool to make the find.
I see now if I had read the description more clearly it would have been fine.
Thanks for bringing me here - muggles aplenty on a rainy lunchtime; many of whom were peering in for a closer look. A genuine local landmark.
Thanks again.

On trip to Griffen Theatre we started looking. Some research at home gave us a clue and off we went and got it. TFTC. A beauty. T&B
Found this one after a nearby shopping trip. It was quite a busy thoroughfare so i had to time my grab after spying the camo. Thanks 2qt2bstr818 for the puzzle and placement. All good a the cache Cheers
A great puzzle! I found the door with a little help from a previous finder. Where do you find these places? Grabbed the tool and opened the correct door to the cache quickly. Another FP from Brew. TFTC
We solved this one a while ago. When we found the door, we were a bit confused. As soon as we got the tool, we knew where to go. Nice puzzle.

Once I'd figured out where the church is, finding GZ was obvious.
I had to wait for our lycra clad friends to disappear before I could use the tool to access the hide.

I quite enjoyed the little foreign holiday I needed to take for this. After landing back home I found quite a bit of history of the luxurious (in their time) buildings around here. In the process, I'd done a virtual visit and spotted the cache. So now, some months later, when we arrived physically, I said "There's the "door" and that'll be the cache", no GPS needed. We used the supplied tool, did the deed and continued off into the night. Thanks again 2qt2bstr818.
I really enjoyed this one and when I matched a common theme at or close to GZ, I didn’t see the gate then dread. Turned around and then relief.
Let my fingers do the feeling and yep, magnet found. Used the tool to access the hide.
Such an enjoyable all round mystery, great work 2qt2brstr818

This one was a fun one to puzzle over through lunch with ReverseG. Scanning google and read and rereading the description eventually got us to a point that we thought could be it and yes, it was true! With the help of a handy multitool, we were able to sign the log and replace it to where we had found it. This was the first time I had seen a cache-type of its kind and was pretty impressed. Many thanks for the experience!
What a door, and what a thing behind it!
We spent some time during lunch working out the game plan and approach to this particular puzzle - mainly we were trying to figure out where the heck it was. Thankfully some cursory research, reverse image search, and some sleuthing, we sorted out where it was and managed to make our way there. Upon getting there, it was as the CO described, and signing duties were done.
Thanks for a very pleasant day out and side trip to Kings X. The places where Geocaching takes you...

Was not sure if my idea is right but we found it so it means I was right . Really interesting cache and beautiful door. Had no idea about this place and that is what I love on geocaching..thank you very much, we really enjoyed this cache
Awesome puzzle! Really cool that you need tools to solve the puzzle and another kind of tool to open the cache container!

#3 on our city cache find with Trodectus and Bikebearau. Having solved this a little while ago, it was in our list for our city walk. Arrived GZ and were able to access the cache fairly quickly. Log signed and returned. TFTC
one of five found today with friends Trodactus & Coybear2000, I previously knew of this Gate/door so it was reasonably simple to find, very clever hiding spot, congratulations on it.

Solved and found with Coybear2000 and Bikebearau. C and I had solved this one some weeks ago and we mentioned it to B who had no trouble with it. The third find on our bears' walk. We arrived at GZ, easily found the tool and knew where to use it. Log signed and all replaced. TFTC.
Fresh off the Norwegian Jewel, I had an entire day before I caught my overnight train to Melbourne. I decided to take it easy and just do a few caches...starting with this one. I knew approximately where I wanted to be and took a bus from Central Station after dropping off luggage. The bus driver didn’t know the landmarks I provided, but I turned on my GPS and managed to get off at the closest bus stop. A short walk later I was admiring the impressive gates. The tool and cache were just where they should have been and I soon had my first smilie of the day. Thanks for a fun puzzle and easy find.
I really enjoyed solving this puzzle, the mystery door is quite impressive up close too, looks heavy. We found the cache before finding the tool,so once we found that we were on our way to the log book, the doors seem very popular with a few people stopping by for a look during our visit here.
Another cool city hide.
Thanks 2qt2bstr818 for the cache !!

Interesting concept which luckily Bonfire had cracked before our latest “cheap Sunday train fares” Sydney run and the choice for location made sense on arrival. Identified camo on approach which was quickly confirmed when TOTT was in hand (may have to add a similar tool to my kit). Enjoying the effort put in to the camo on a greater than usual number of hides today. This gets a favourite point on behalf of us both.

Actually this mystery is not very difficult so solve. I live 16.000 kilometres far from here but I solved it easily . Today I came to verify if my idea was true and it was. The cache as well as the tool were found easily. Greetings from the Czech Republic and thanks for this cache!

I decided to head into the city early for a jog rather than jogging around home, taking advantage of the school holidays and associated lack of drop-off duties. I had solved the nearby puzzles last night, so planned a route to find them. This was the second.
I was not familiar with the feature, so it took me a little while to figure out where it was, but it all made sense. When I got to GZ I was able to quickly find the tool, during a gap in the pedestrian traffic, and then found the container. TNLNSL, then headed on my way. Thanks for a well-executed puzzle and container.

I was able to triangulate the right area fairly quickly but then my armchair work let me down. I had another look at the puzzle more recently and everything just fell into place - knowing exactly where I needed to go.
Headed towards the Eastern Suburbs to collect some solved puzzles and this was my first stop after being muggled out at Birds-Eye Views of Sydney. Found the tool immediately but then stood there scratching my head. What can I possibly use it on? Had to feign interest in the gate a couple of times for passing muggles. Eventually the penny dropped when I extended my gaze beyond the gate. Nice work!

27/7/17 Found with morry9. A big day out in the CBD and surrounds.
We started at the ‘Plaza Ibero Americana’ Multi Cache in Surry Hills. Unfortunately, the area is a construction site and fenced off. The “heads” have been (temporarily?) removed, perhaps the cache has too? DNF for us today.
Continuing to Surry Hills on foot, the ‘Taylor Square’ Mystery Cache was one we had both solved when first published. With a break in traffic, we swooped and quickly had the CIH. Across to Darlinghurst, the ‘The Mystery Door’ Mystery Cache was next. We happened to find screws on the door itself, but they appeared coincidental decoys and we found the right spot in the end. Snaking our way across to Woolloomooloo, we stopped by the ’The NEON SIGN’. A lightning quick find with the help of the spoiler. Having solved the ‘Bird-Eye Views of Sydney’ Mystery Cache, recognising most of the clues by sight, we collected the smiley while in the area. Over to ‘Stairs of Woolloomoolo’, we were greeted by a sulfur crested cockatoo cache guardian, who kept an eye on us as we retrieved and signed the log. Down at water level in Potts Point, we visited ‘Woolloomoolo’. Favourite point awarded for the boldness of the hide. Thanks For The Caches 2qt2bstr818.
While not “in plain sight” as suggested, a thorough search turned up the ‘Cahill Expressway Troll’ in Woolloomooloo. Thanks For The Cache rinsemesocks.
We had collected the clues for ‘At The Governor's Pleasure’ Multi Cache in Sydney over the course of a number of visits to the city, and today meant we could head straight for Ground Zero. Favourite point awarded for the interesting history lesson and the effort that has gone into this cache. Thanks For The Cache Calypso62.
We had a tricky retrieval at the ‘First church’ Multi Cache in Sydney, due to the mass migration of muggles. A neat bit of history, Thanks For The Cache JustinCBR.
Another cool discovery was the associated artwork at the ‘Wait in Arch’ Multi Cache in Sydney. A nice place for the final stage too, Thanks For The Cache AlphaDeltaIndigo.
We were sprung by the Cache Owner at the ‘Superman Returns The Woman in Red’ Multi Cache in Sydney, just as we were returning the cache back in situ. Thanks For The Cache rinsemesocks.
At the ‘Looking Glass Rock’ Multi Cache in Sydney, we simply picked the most obvious spot and made the find straight away. Thanks For The Cache The Wandering Wilkos.
Our counting was on point at the ‘Sydney Harbour One-Oh-Three’ Multi Cache in The Rocks, and we were delighted by the nicely constructed hide (as well as the spectacular views). Thanks For The Cache BertieLissie.
Another one solved a while ago was the ‘Illusions’ Mystery Cache but just needed to get to the right end of town. Thanks For The Cache Philma.
For a long time, I have looked at the ‘Sydney Harbour Bridge EarthCache’ in Dawes Point and thought, I would pick it up one day, but never have… until now. We collected the answers and have sent them off to the Cache Owner. Thanks For The Cache Aussie Cacher.
I visited ‘Cadman's Cottage’ in The Rocks during The Vivid Festival one time but there was no chance of a find then. This time, the coast was clear and a quick find ensued. Thanks For The Cache GeoMonster10.
Sadly a Did Not Find for us at the ‘Down the Well’ in The Rocks. Looks like this one is gone and needs maintenance please, as it would be great to have the opportunity find it in the near future. ‘Across the Water’ in The Rocks was also “over the fence” but we spotted it before finding a way in, and swooped for a quick find. Another straightforward find was the ‘In the Notebook’ in The Rocks, however, it could do with maintenance and some Tender Loving Care (the contents are in a bit of a gross state). A surprisingly nice hide to finish the day at ‘High Rise Low Rise’ in The Rocks. Almost could be classified as a Regular size. Thanks For The Caches The Rocks Sydney.

About a week ago, I decided to try to solve this mystery in anticipation of my upcoming trip to Sydney. I used no less than three separate Google products to figure this out. I'd used all three previously but two of them I'd only used once or twice, so there was a bit of a learning curve. After 30 minutes of printing, drawing, zooming, searching, zooming some more and rotating, I was looking at the door on my computer monitor in Portland, Oregon. The technology we have at our fingertips today is truly amazing!
Today, I went to the door, retrieved the tool, opened the container, signed the log then put everything back with no problems. Thanks for the fun and the excuse to become a bit more proficient with Google.

Knowing that a Woolloomooloo caching day was coming up, Mr Ozjeeper did some late night research last night and was able to find the location of the Mystery Door. A carpark less that 100 metres away was a surprise bonus as was the thoughtfully provided tool to access the cache container.
Thanks 2qt2bstr818 for a wonderful adventure, for an interesting puzzle and for another unusual container. A Favorite Point is on it's way!

After cracking hard at this puzzle and not getting anywhere... I overheard someone discussing this at my event. Didn't tell them I was listening, but made a note to look online the name of the street. Street view at the location and they were right!
Came here for a late evening, post sunset hunt... Lucky I had my torch or else I'd be scrambling in the dark! No muggles and no muggle cars gave me any notice... Signed log and replaced all things as found

Worked this one out a week or so ago and did a lunchtime recky soon after. Realised a nighttime raid with the bicycle would be easier than a daylight attempt in my 9-5 attire. So this evening on another journey home diversion into the east I made the grab, using the tool provided. Was going to head on the Rushcutters to check on a LTF which had a couple of DNFs, but Geotot was calling so deferred the check, only to find a message re such cache from ADI on arrival home, what are the chances! Will check on that one later. Anyway back to this one, another brilliant cache, fantastic door. TFTC #382

This one had me a little stumped as I didn't know where the door was. Tried googling without much luck. Luckily I got a clue at an event this morning and eventually found my way to GZ. At GZ I met with Aussie Pam and The Bebes, to find the tool, extract cache and sign. Cache #183 TFTC

I solved this one a while back. Actually recognised the photo which is pretty good for me as I'm a fair dinkum Aussie though married to an Englishman! Then it was finding the chance to get back there! Today, a bunch of us were piratically in the area... so bingo! loved it. Favorite point.

I took too little by waiting for a muggle in a car. I went away and came back - the car was still there, only this time the muggle was not.
I used my own tool and got the cache.

Meeting up with an old friend in Darlinghurst we wandered up to pick this one up. Turns out he used to live next door!
After initially looking at this puzzle, it turns out that several people I mentioned it to knew exactly where it was, making the solution a lot easier. And that doesn't include the old next door neighbour!
Quickly accessed the container with not a muggle in sight today.
Great spot, great cache. Have a favourite point.

And my favorite!
And my favorite!
Was on the East side of the city so decided to walk home via a few yet-to-be-found caches in the area.

This was 4th find of 6.
Haversine rules (or law, anyway), **OK!**
I particularly enjoy caches that are not strictly coords based.
Please accept any FP, 2qt.

This was my favourite of the puzzles I solved for this little trip, possibly because the easy method I tried first gave me the answer quickly.
Canary said some earlier logs had said they couldn't find the tool. He found it in seconds, so not sure where those other people were looking. The cache itself was obvious. Don't really like this method of attaching a cache, but really liked the location.
Thanks

The third of five caches found on a pre-Event loop from Central to Town Hall with bikerbuddy and Toriaz.
I solved this puzzle theee different ways just because I was bored!?!
A nice quick find at GZ of the container and tool.
TFTC.

This was a clever little puzzle, and there are a couple of ways of solving it. I was talking to Toriaz about it and of course I had a much more difficult and complicated way to solve this, and Toriaz had a much simpler and effective way, like the way I tried to open a cache earlier in the morning, and the way she actually did open it.
What an amazing spot. We peered through the gates at the house. Who would have thought this was tucked away there? Canary found the tool quickly. The cache was spotted immediately by us all. Thanks

Great mystery. The container was obscured by shadow since we came at night but we found it eventually
14/6/17. 2:52 PM. Cache #5108.
2nd of 5 finds today - Maroubra, Darlinghurst, Potts Point, Woolloomooloo & Pyrmont.
I had four caches around the city to catch up on, but wanted a fifth for the day so I added "Tie & Ride" to the mix & in fact started off with finding that one. No time to do the other two Maroubra/Malabar caches that I haven't found yet, so after a late lunch I came up here to this one, which I had solved this morning (locating the abbey didn't take too long, but overthinking things at first meant I took a bit longer to get these coordinates).
After parking nearby (not totally kosher), I quickly spotted the outer container but also knew where to go for the tool. This was found easily and then I was in to the cache proper. I signed the log and discovered the TB but left it there. Next target was "Make a Wish And BLOW!!" but I had to get some supplies for that first. TFTC.

At first I thought I knew where the door might be. But then I realised there was a cache too close to that location. But then another thought crossed my mind and one thing led to another and street view confirmed I had GZ. Misspalot kindly accompanied me to the cache this evening and aided retrieval. Very kind to provide the tool. An enjoyable puzzle for sure.
When raindoctor first alerted me of the cache, I could've sworn I've seen the inscription somewhere before and nope it wasn't at the abbey. That detail aside I thought it wa too difficult to squint at my phone to work it out, but the time to look at it on the computer screen never came at least raindoctor had a good time telling me how he solved this mystery, quite the brilliant puzzle
We walked over after work and waited for muggle numbers to drop in order to retrieve the tool and the cache. What a satisfying sound it was opening up that cache. With the signing duties completed we again waited before replacing. Thank you for a marvellous tour of the backstreets!

I loved all the caches by this CO do set yo solving as soon as this one was published, as i'm on a streak I need to save these close to home ones for a busy day.....like today.
I'm from the UK do knew the abbey immediately and it didn't take long to find those gates.
That's quite a entrance......I'd love to see inside.
Wasn't sure if I'd find the tool so brought my own but I had no trouble locating it and used it to quickly undo the camo.
I had to wait a while for a muggle free time to quickly re-attach as found.
I love the motto on these gates.
I also dropped a TB that wanted to be near animals.... I thought it would like the dogs on the gate plus I found a tiny knitted elephant finger puppet on the floor so I popped that in too. There was also a rather fabulous feathered bird model too but that wouldn't fit !
Tftc fav point awarded

Joint 2TF with vk2df and my Geodad EverestHigh. Loved the puzzle and the mystery door. TFTC 2qt2bstr818.
Got there! Not as tricky as I thought. Met VK2DF at GZ. Had a big chat about GCing. TFTC 2qt2bstr818
Saw this last night at 8:25pm, by 8:30pm GZ coords were calculated. Went for PAF to get FTF last night, with no luck. Come this morning arrive early with no one around. Found tool and a nice clean sheet. Grabbed TB
Awesome cache by CO yet again.

This was a reasonably quick solve this morning, having only recently solved a similar one over on the north side of the harbour, and so I decided to have a look at final GZ on my way to work today.
Arrived at GZ and instantly spotted what just had to be the outer camo, so I then went looking for the tool. Only had a half hearted look before resorting to my own TOTT collection, and then after a little fiddle it was CIH.
Moved away from GZ to do the signing duties, then noticed two suspicious looking characters with devices in hand lurking around GZ. Well what do you know, two more cachers had arrived, that being EverestHigh and MaxAdventurer. Very nice to meet you both.
So after all the signing duties were completed, and the cache container had been replaced as found and photos snapped, there was just the question of that illusive onsite tool. But a quick look in spots not previously checked soon had TIH (tool in hand), just to complete all parts of the cache "find".
We then all had a good old geochat, before I needed to do the dash to the airport for my afternoon shift. Thanks 2qt2bstr818 for the puzzle and final GZ cache placement.

Tftc. On our never ending journey for a car park we ran across the door by chance. Parked semi legally, looked for the required tool and couldn't find it, so accessed my tool kit for the appropriate tool and soon had CIH.
