Our last cache of this series. Thank you so much for setting this series, we have really enjoyed being out in the bush doing them.

Another day riding the bike at Langford Park followed by some geocaching. I picked of the nine of this series in my CX5. No 4wd engaged, so pretty happy with the track. I will be back! TFTC

We checked the stump but the cache was in a better place than that...good choice of location.

We headed out here to check on the state of the caches after reports of a recent fire in the area. Logs and caches were replaced as required.

jinta29 - Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment. We love travelling the state and visiting some places that we would only visit due to this game.

SVKR_WA and I decided to head for the hills and spend an hour or two picking up some caches we both needed. The main target was Jinta29’s Stephen King series.

We set out to find the rest of the series along this track. It was an eventful day with one live scorpion found, a wasp nest in a tree - I was stung for the first time ever - 3 times . But all in all was a great day. We had 65 finds and one dnf.

We have been looking at this area for while and today we had the opportunity to give it a go. Our goal for the day was to find 100 caches so together with BigRyanFamily and their Prado we tackled the Stephen King and Procrastination series. I have always liked the Stephen King Books so this series was bringing back some memories as we made our way around.
Possibly one of the first Stephen King movies I saw. and a quick find at GZ.
I'll give this one the favourite for the series.

Day 283 of our 366 day straight challenge. Out with ChrisRG to grab as many of the Stephen King and Procrastination series as we can, with the aim of 100 caches for the day. Sorry about generic logs but time is of the essence. TFTC

Started out at a reasonably early hour with caching partner ilook4geo, as the day was promising to be another hot one. Deciding to only cache for the morning, we headed out along this run to see how many caches we could find in that time. The score was 53 finds and only 1 miss.
Each log had our names added and was replaced as found before we moved on.
Thank you to jinta29 for placing this series of caches.

Out on the caching trail with goingplaces2 for the morning. Had a great time and found lots of caches. Logs were signed, caches were put back and we moved on. Loved the track with even a couple of almost 4WD parts. TFTC.

Out for a morning geocaching with me myself and I! Plan was to finish off the Procrastination Series, then finish off the Book Series, and grab any random ones on the way. And that's exactly what I did!! 57 finds, only a couple DNF's. Pretty happy with that! Apologies for the generic log, but there is quite a few of them!!

Favorite point here for the trail.
Outlaw166 said it would e a good idea if we try a trail while in Australia and to get as many as it needs for me to reach 8000 caches before my event in Rockingham. This meant getting 120 caches which was a huge task to achieve before 17.00.
This was one of this series and a big thanks to CO who informed us about this amazing author. Can't say I've read many unfortunately but watched lots of his movies.
Awesome to see a series which is not copy and paste descriptions, each cache was a different type of hide and a different description.
All caches were spot on according to my GPS and all of this book series were healthy and dry.

What I liked and didn't like, feel free to read below.

To see outlaw166, shit scared to walk through the Aussie bush, lifting things and putting his hands where they shouldn't be.
I liked having a rental car rav4 which luckily was an upgrade otherwise this trail couldn't have been done.
I love the Aussie bush.
I loved the cache varieties.
I loved the perfect weather, cold in the morning and not too hot in the middle of the day.
I like rocks....where most were hidden today.

Didn't like:
Walking into spider webs.
Burnt bush.
Muggle tractors, although they did actually straighten the roads a bit.
Not seeing any reptiles, but we did see a few kangaroos.

Found it. TFTC jinta29. Teamed up with papillon367 and ullyssia for a 4WD adventure. After we completed the Procrastination Installation series we started on this Stephen King series for as long as time permitted.

Teamed up with ullyssia and Photo-Play to tackle the Procrastination Installation series and as we finished early in the afternoon, we went on to start the Stephen King series as well. No fire through this area and all caches attempted were found without issues. Thank you for the hide jinta29.

All 50 done! At a leisurely pace, 6 hours with a mountain bike. Not a fan of Stephen King but made it through regardless. Found 49 caches out of 50. That’s 5 favs. Including this one the other favs were distributed elsewhere. This is what I called a brilliant series. It also give me a very good idea what I should do when I hit 5,000! SL TFTH, jinta29.

Was a little worried when we got out here to do this series when we saw there had been a fire through this area. But we found it quick and intact. Tftc

Absolutely love Stephen King ( I am his No. 1 fan.....no dirty birds here!), so we decided to tackle this series this morning. Took us just over 3 hours on a pleasant Spring morning with no signs of any traffic. Nice little track, all dry, no probs with the Cruiser but there was 1 spot that would have bottomed out a 2wd.

Found all with no problems, there was some burnt areas at the start with only 2 of the caches (The Dead Zone and Roadwork) affected by fire but all logs accounted for, signed and returned.

This has encouraged me to take a photo of every Stephen King book that I own matching to each cache (I can't believe that I have every one except The Plant!)

One cold winter morning, two intrepid cachers set off to attempt to collect the Hidden Creatures Souvenirs…

My goal was to find at least 60 caches. I dropped my geobaby off at my muggle MIL’s house (MASSIVE thanks to you Ma! You’re the best!! <3), picked up my favourite geocaching buddy (aka Dad) and drove down the hill. We had already completed part of Jinta29’s Steven King series and I thought that I'd finish the rest, then finding the Procrastination Instillation series would net me enough finds to get the World Turtle Hidden Creatures souvenir. Fingers crossed.

Before we could get to our first find of the day, we had to do a little 4WDing. (Rather nerve wracking for someone who has only been a passenger and never the driver when 4WDing, but I did it ).

And as usual when it comes to me and Fernio, there was a competition to see who could bag the most finds.

Out for a day caching with Chwiliwr finding caches around the Jarrahdale area starting where he had previously left off the Procrastination Installation series the day they were published a few years ago and ending up doing a few of the Civilisation series east of Jarrahdale.

The track where the Procrastination series is located is currently only 4WD as there are quite a few puddles with a couple of 'lakes' to cross. One of the 'lakes' somehow let out half of the air out of one of the tyre's so it was slower going from that point on until we could put some air back in down at the service station down on the highway after we finished finding caches for the day. (Wasn't going to interrupt a fine and enjoyable day of caching.)

Most caches were found without trouble for the first half of the day but had to use the hints on the second half as the GPS started playing up making it a bit harder to find GZ. Some logs were not able to be signed so replaced them and at one cache removed a replacement cache as we found both it and the original on opposite sides of the track.

Log signed and cache returned as found.

We headed down to Jarrahdale today to continue on cleaning up the map and claiming those smilies, we had a great day full of lots of laughs and adventures, we only had one DNF for the day but came up trumps here, most of the finds were nice and quick with coordinates being pretty spot on, thanks to all CO’s for placing the caches, we collected some TB’s along the way and will move them on TFTC

Mr. Wileyclan and I decided to spend this fantastic Autumn Day caching in the Hills. Our plan was to complete the Procrastination Series, a good outing on any day. But with fairly accurate co-ordinates, the trusty Pajero and some determination, we clear the goal series and then also completed the Stephen King Series. Both were very enjoyable.

Today we also cleared some previous DNF’s, a few more SWH caches and one or two other random stop spots.

We used multiple methods to sign the logs, sometimes the stamps, and sometimes the pen. Some repairs were undertaken along the way. The book titles prompted some discussion on the pros and cons of the various plots, well at least for the ones we recognised
The track was in very good condition, but there were definite places that needed all four wheels driving to get beyond the rut.

Thanks jinta29 for bringing me to this location. I found the cache at 11:37:00 AM. This was my Find 52 for today out of a Total number of 105 Finds and 0 DNF for for this Caching Outing. The cache was found in Good Condition and I returned the cache as I found it.

Wowee, what a day! Today rudi63 and I made plans to tackle the Procrastionation Installation series. So after getting picked up early for a Saturday we set off and found a couple of caches on the way with our first finds being around 0800 and last about 1430. After smashing out the Procrastionation Series with many variants of our names in the log books - some say wc & r63, some are our full names and some are stamped. Really depended on how we were feeling at each one [:o)] - we paused to consider our next move. Thankfuly we had rudi63's 4WD as although most of the track is passable by 2WD there are definitely some places where the extra 2WD really came into its own. Part way through the Procrastination Installation series we also stopped off to gather a night cache in the middle of the day [8]

The decision was made to start the Stephen King series and then turn off to grab the earthcache. Well that didn't work out as we passed under Nettleton Road when we thought we were level with it. Not to matter as we were flying along completing the series. We had one cache that was burnt out but rudi63 had a replacement that suited this sort of series in his car so the owner need not worry.

After a very enjoyable Stephen King series (they are awesome books as well) we made our way towards the Civilisation series earthcache. On the way I grabbed a couple of caches that rudi63 had already done, including one of the older caches in WA. Earthcache complete, we headed for home but first we went and turned a on the Civilisation series into a as well as stopping off for a couple of other easy grabs.

All in all a succesful day with 105 finds to each of us! Not bad considering I was thinking I would get about 40 today

I have not been out caching for an age, so I roped in Rokadz and the fitzys for a boys day out on the road. This stretch of caches have been on my radar for sometime and today was the day.

A quick find while waiting to pick up one of the +4 from camp

Been meaning to have a go at this series for a while now and turns out I had a free day today and with the weather looking good and the GeoTriton already fueled up I decided to have a crack. Steven King's "It" was the first real book I read way back when and from then on I became a bit of a tragic. A lot of these titles are familiar but there is are still a few that I hadn't heard of.

Managed to put a smiley on every cache in just over three hours with good co-ords for the most part and the handy hints proved helpful on many occasions. Didn't need to engage the front diff at all but was thankful of the high ground clearance in a couple of spots.

Found at the third item referred to in the hint. And that makes the last one of the series, thanks so much for putting these out there, looking forward to more.

jinta29 I found your cache at 1:16pm, this was the 51st of 57 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 4264. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Out for a solid day's geocaching with a dedicated crew - some went walking (including pushing a pram!), others drove - to find this whole series. Wow, what a fun time we had, including some harrowing experiences along the track. We made it though! Thanks so much for this whole series - we had an absolutely great time finding the caches; some of the kids cottoned on to the "pattern" of hiding and guessed where some of the caches would be, and ran ahead without phones to see if they could find any caches without help - and they did! Thanks for providing a great series for kids to do too - greatly appreciated!

I've had my eye on this series ever since it was published, as I really enjoyed the close by Procrastination Series. Today 4 out of the 5 usual groups could make it and we decided to turn the path into a series of smileys. Enjoyed the walk out there, although it did start to get a bit warm after a while. Despite the adults usually holding the phones, the geokids were getting good at estimating distances and spotting good hiding spots while we were still aways back. Thanks for making and maintaining this series and looking forward to more like them! All caches were found and most were in excellent condition.

Headed out for the morning with family and their family - muskcat83, janssej & marlsj - some were up for the challenge of walking with some of the kids. Others took the car and some kids and started from the other end. Thanks for the series!

Hi there jinta29 - today was supposed to be just a maintenance day but once done I decided on lunch in Jarrahdale and some caching. This series came to mind and made a great afternoons caching. Headed out with Loudy16 today after managing to work in a caching day into our schedules. We have both been out of caching for a while, so the morning was very slow to start with. We started with a section of the Stand By Me series, and then completed the Stephen King caches.

Lunch was a stop at the Jarrahdale, with a beer or two and a nice counter meal.

After lunch we headed off to complete the latest instalment of the Civilisation Series.

Teamed up with Mrs Jackylegs today for a girl's day out, despite her being jetlagged still after her return flight from Germany. From what I had heard from previous finders, this sounded like a good series for us to tackle, and we enjoyed the drive, the scenery, the company and the swag of smileys we collected along the way. Am very happy to report that all caches were found without any problems and all in good order too. My subaru forester handled the tracks comfortably too, so anyone that has any concerns about the conditions shouldn't let it put them off. We had to be careful around a few larger puddles, but they weren't a problem at all. Thanks for placing and maintaining all of these caches for the rest of us to enjoy jinta29.

We met JacobsCrew2 at the Jarrahdale coffee shop on Saturday afternoon for a quick refreshment. Our intention was to make a start on this series and see how far we could get before failing light would get the better of us. We need not have worried though, all went like clockwork and we were leaving the bush track again before dusk having found all of the caches. Thanks jinta29 for a very nice series on an interesting track.

Sorry this is going to be a bit of a generic log. Found the whole series today over a 3 1/2 hour span. All the caches are in good condition. The track was quite wet and the geo-prado didn't come out looking the same as it when I started. Lots of puddles and eroded sections. But you did say you need a 4 wheel drive and at the moment you do. Thankyou for putting together this series. I enjoyed my day in the bush.

Headed back out with Familysteiner to make a start on this awesome series. I was very excited about this series as I am a huge Stephen King fan. He is the reason I started reading. I have nearly all of his books. Not a great day out a bit wet but that made the drive and find extra fun. So many little floods to drive through. The skies opened up, but luckily we were heading back to Jarrahdale Tavern to some warmth and our usual bevy. Thank you for this great series tftc

I'd been holding off on attempting this series until my geobuddy and partner in caching crime Orrsome Family was back on WA soil (and it has nothing to do with her having access to a 4WD haha!). I'll admit at the outset that I am not a huge Stephen King fan. I've read a couple of his books, mostly when I was in my late teens/early 20s, which was a very long time ago, but the names of many, if not most, of these books were familiar to me as they have been adapted into movies. Orrsome Family, on the other hand, is a mad Stephen King fan so I had to put up with her boring me with her recollections of each book. The weather was dreadful - cold and wet, the track was flooded in parts and the showers really hit around 1pm which coincidentally was beer o'clock time for us as well, so we didn't quite finish the series., retreating to the slow combustion heater at the Jarrahdale Tavern instead. We'll come back to collect the 13 or so remaining caches another time. All the caches were found without problems, with the exception of the one we think is missing. This was was an unexpected grab - we were trying to find a place to turn the car around to head back into town, when we realised we were (almost) right on a cache. Apologies for the generic log. TFTC

Just as many of Stephen King's books are, the bike ride from where I left my car to this my start point, was a nightmare. 2+ km uphill!

After attending the Canada Day Event in Bunbury we headed north to Jarrahdale to complete the Stephen King series. Very chilly morning and although there had been a lot of rain the past few days, probably only the track for the last two dozen caches had puddles of varying depth and capacity to negotiate. A great day out enjoying your series jinta29

Staying in Jarrahdale for a long weekend, day one we tackled the Stephen King Series and a few others along the way… I walked straight past this one & noticed it whilst searching another object

This was the last of the series for us, which took us just over two hours to do, logging the first one at 2pm & the last at 4.05pm Power Trails are not our usual thing, but we had a great time finding them all & especially loved that the kids could take part & easily find the caches too… Of course the big puddles added to the excitement, just watch out for the one that nearly sunk the car lol

Had a huge day out caching in the backwaters of serpentine jarrahdale completing the Stephen king book series by Jinta29 along a "4x4" track.

We had a lovely morning cruising along the track in my mazda3 which handled the bumps nice and easy with Cravo only having to get out to check the track a couple of times.

We found all containers in relatively quick time with well placed hints and good co ords. We met

Concerned about how we got "this far" in "that"! The track wasn't too bad except for a few wet spots with the recent rains.

After completing the 40 caches we had left after our FTF hunt the other night we ventured along to the stand by me Series to cleanup there as best we could along the old disused train line. We found all containers relatively quickly compared to my last visit here with richlinks and jacobscrew who brought me in to help cleanup the DNFs they had from their first attempt. All found in relatively good order.

We then continued around jarrahdale, collecting other random caches including a couple of archived caches which are still there and in great condition.

We finished the day off travelling to cardup and collecting a couple of caches in the local reserve along some sandy tracks which we've always found an excuse to avoid!

Tackling this series today with megawat60, pommieparkin2 and fratra, on a great winter's day. The road showed signs of the recent rains but both geovehicles handled it well.
All caches were found quickly, thanks to accurate coordinates and helpful hints.

A beautiful sunny day combined with a new series out Byford/Jarrahdale way was the right combo to organise a caching expedition. We joined forces with pommieparkin2, M4YB and Megswatt60 and spent a pleasant 3 hours tracking down this great new series. 50/50 smilies and smiles all round. What better way to celebrate the series and our success but to adjourn to the nearby Tavern for lunch

We hatched a plan, which is no mean feat in itself, with m4yb, fratra & Sir Richard de Megawat to attack these new caches. We converged on the series from three different directions & set about a very enjoyable morning caching. Found them all in just under 3hours. We signed most of them with variations of MMPPF to save space on the logs. Thanks jinta 29

After noticing this series come out I was keen to give it a go so got together with OOH YEH and over coffee we made a plan to tackle the series.
After continually reminding hubby not to take the 4x4 to work the next day I was relieved to see it in the carport in the morning.
OOH YEH rang and told me she had all the snacks so all I needed was to get to her house and ask her to put my left shoe and sock on with her one arm.
We made the journey to Jarrahdale and started our quest with a quick find and spot on co ords. We found all caches the same and with great hints it was one of the easiest series I have done in a long time which in the state our bodies are in at the moment was very welcome.
Managing to finish the series all in one go was our high 5 moment.

after having shoulder surgery last week I cant use my right arm or drive my car which has been driving me crazy not being able to go out geocaching lol...When I saw this series get published with 50 caches up for grabs I was having a melt down then Skippy 46 came around for a coffee on Wednesday and we started talking about this series. We then decided even though Skippy 46 cant really walk as she has a bad back and hip she could drive the car and I only need one arm to find the caches so the plan was made and we headed out this morning to grab them. I'm glad we were in the 4x4 as after all the rain we have had parts of the tracks were flooded. With the hints given all the caches were found quickly except one and most of the time I didn't even use the GPS to locate the cache. Even though we were like 2 invalids doing the series we still managed to find all 50 in 3 hours and we may not of been FTF on any of them but we were happy to be the first teams to complete the series all in one go. we really enjoyed this series and I will give a favourite point for the beginning and the end.
