Making the most of a sunny public holiday, the wife and I jumped in the car for a nice drive out to Finchley Trig. It had probably been over 10 years since being there, but the view over Mt Yengo never disappoints. On the way out from our loop, I made the slight detour to grab this one. A quick find in some beautiful countryside. TFTC!

Day out with GeoIan to find some unloved caches. TFTC

16-Apr-22
Decided to come this side of the range to give out some love, to these unloved caches. Through fires, and now floods, they all still stand, well sort of. Whilst looking for this cache, a friendly bore came for a visit, which the LLamas were not very happy about. Took a good search of the area, overlooked it at first. Grass has grown a fai bit, and some dead timber may have been washed down from above. TFTC.

I was in the area today cactching up on some unfound caches and noticed this one. A nice drive in and a quick find once at GZ thanks to all the hints. The cache is in good condition.

Many thanks for the hide and for luring me north to this interesting spot. Now off to try to redeem a long-standing DNF at a tricky corner.

We couldn’t resist diverting off the main highway to come and search for this cache. Once at Ground Zero we made the mistake of searching around the wrong tree at first, but on changing our search the cache was then quickly located. We signed the log book and then replaced as found. Thanks so much for the cache and greetings from Zimbabwe

Find #2597
The kids and I set off on our traditional New Years Day cache drive (one of them anyway!), choosing a route back out through Wollombi again, to pick up some new caches that have appeared since our last journey out here. Another day above 35 degrees made being out in the sun unpleasant at times. A great day was had, finishing off with a New Years event.
This was our destination for the day. We had a great day here a couple of years ago driving to 'From the Dreamtime' and were thrilled when a new cache was placed out here. The cache was spotted quickly and a TB was dropped, we picked up the geocoin to move on, it appears it is unactivated, so will activate and send it out there. TFTC WayZedd

A great caching adventure weekend with Team Canary and The Hancock Clan
We camped at Finchley and had a great open fire. The next morning we had a look at the carvings and the sweeping views at Finchley Trig before heading to this one. It took us a while to find but the Alpachas kept us assumed. The find was eventually made and our name added to the log. TFTC.

The first cache of Day Two of a weekend away with The Hancock Clan and Bella at Waggy.

Luckily the alpacas were an easy find as the cache took way longer than it should have!?!

TFTC.

A quick diversion this morning on the way out from spending the night camping at Finchley Campground. The alpacas were keeping us entertained! TFTC

Adventure Monday with my girls.

This one lingers on the edge of my 50km zone despite it taking almost 100km of driving to get here. At least there are playgrounds back in Wollombi!

Camry did well making it out here today too.

A quick find. Cache and log in great condition. TNLN TFTC

MrsFish wanted to go for a drive so we headed up to the Cessnock area for the day. This new cache was an easy detour off one of my favourite roads, the GeoMazda had no trouble at all getting there, and we have been out on this road before for another cache up Yango Creek road. We parked opposite GZ without obstructing the gate and I had a bit of a look in likely places which proved to be above the listed terrain, then MrsFish told me where to look and there it was, nicely hidden too. I was surprised to be first there, that doesn't often happen up this way. Thanks WayZedd for bringing us to this lovely area and for placing a good cache there. A FTF for the Fishes is always welcome.
