Searched around for a few minutes as per the hint, looked all over and turned all pieces of wood over, looked a little bit around on the ground, but couldn't spot it today. Hasn't been found since April, perhaps it's gone now? If I have time before I leave Boddington on Monday, I may come back for another look.

Day 2 (for us) On The.... *LGA!*

Another very nice find on a geocaching adventure with woolwood9.
We enjoyed the drive / walk around the area.

On the trail by 6-30am stopped for the night after 8-30pm - 2x 15 minute stops otherwise non-stop caching the area!
Tons of dust, 35 degrees - energy draining heat, seeds in socks, flies and spiders - all the good stuff that made for great fun and a fantastic numbers of finds!

**Appreciate the efforts of all involved.**

*Thank you for putting this Huge cache trail out for us to visit! *

Nice quick find, log a little crammed in, straightened and re-rolled!

Headed out to knock off some more of this mammoth and awesome powertrail with another 200 ticked off today over a 10 hour period which of course included a stop at the Quinny for a Parmy lunch.

Thanks to FellowshipOfTheTrail for placing such an amazing powertrail with good hints and nice easy finds The sun was shining, the birds were singing! Happy caching days!

Find 8 of the day, quick one, log has seen better days but mostly intact. Really enjoying the day so far.

It’s time for my long overdue return to caching and a series like this caught my eye as a good way to boost the numbers back up!

Left nice and early this morning to make it down with plenty of time to find as many as possible!

Hoping to do some CITO along the way to help clean up, but if a shame seeing all the rubbish on the side of the road driving down.

A big weekend finishing off the LGA series and caches in the surrounding areas with the BODS11 crew (Meme28, Burns345, I C Nothing, Kapelula, Cirrus_WA, Sir Fancy, Leg5, Lachlan1.77, geotrakka, PilotJen and PilotMal). Sorry about the generic logs.

Today the geocaching mission for TaurusSix and myself is to tackle as much of the LGA series as practical. We have viewed and studied this series for a little while now and made the decision that in the cooler months we would give it a go, mindful that it will take a good few goes to collect the whole series. Having lived all over Australia we are familiar with many of the LGA’s around the country so that adds lots of extra interest from our perspective.

We have set ourselves some ambitious personal geocaching goals for today, such as: i) aiming for our highest amount of cache find in a day which is currently at 120 ii) aiming for our highest amount of cache finds in a week which is currently 136 iii) our highest cache finds in a month which is currently 250. With this in mind we made our way to Boddington last evening so we can make an early start on what will be a big geocaching day. The day started off wet but soon picked up to a nice coolish geocaching day.

Appreciation and gratitude to The Fellowship of the Trail for placing and maintaining this wonderful geocaching series.

This is our tenth cache find of the day along this fabulous trail and while enjoying a fabulous sunrise.

We all set personal geocaching targets such as completing the D/T grid and streaks. One of personal goals was to average 2500 finds per year. At the end of 2019 we were on track but, as with all geocachers, the events of 2020 impacted greatly. So, despite the restrictions still in place this year, we are trying to get our average back up to 2500 finds per year. With Covid limiting our travel options, we decided to head west, flying directly from Hobart to Perth so that we could cache in Western Australia.

One of our targets is the Local Government Area series near Boddington. We made a start today in ideal weather conditions. The real unexpected bonus for us was the range and quantity of the wildflowers we saw along the way. They were magnificent. We have been told that the recent consistent rainfall has led to a greater abundance of wildflowers that in previous years.

Today we looked for 87 of the LGA caches, finding all but two of them. Unless stated otherwise, accurate coordinates and the hints led to quick finds. The cache containers were in good condition but, as should be expected, many of the log books are showing signs of being used by many cachers, some being badly torn.

We really enjoy the concept of the LGA trail. Congratulations to the members of the FellowshipOfTheTrail on an excellent series which must have taken extensive planning and a large amount of time to prepare and place each of the caches.

****
We found this cache open and on the ground, about 7m from the published coordinates. We replaced it in a location consistent with the hint and coordinates.

What a fantastic power trail! Fellowship of the Trail, you all have done an excellent job. Bravo!!

Probsty and I hatched a plan on finishing this series today. We took off at 5am and then we were on a cache mission. It’s our third day down here with a mix of driving and mountain biking. Today was with four wheels. Weather was perfect and most were easy finds. Thank you!

Our journey so far has taken us to NSW, SA, Queensland, NSW, Victoria, Tasmania and now back in Victoria.

Lance grabbed the find here, his height helping to break the kids find streak.
-----

Now this is how to spend a long weekend Monday. Started early with Mr Z, Mr T & Lance252 to head out and grab some caches, scout some potential lab locations, have a day of adventuring and running the sillies out before work and school start tomorrow. Must have worked by the sounds of the snoring coming from the kids in the back on the way home.

It was a slow-ish morning as we had our hider hats on grabbing coordinates and answers, we ended up in Boddington and grabbed some finds in town before stopping for lunch. After the break we raced along a leg of the FOTT’s LGA series before making our way back home.

We managed to snag 20 finds today with 2 pesky DNF’s mixed in.

Thanks FellowshipOfTheTrail for placing this cache for me to find, this is find number 2744 for me.

Hi there FellowshipOfTheTrail.

We found your cache **"LGA Moira VIC"** today. (This makes our find count 23420).

Today we headed out from Boddington and attempted our sixth (and final) loop of the LGA group of caches. We thoroughly enjoyed today's cache finds, but please excuse our boilerplate logs - we know it's not really a good excuse, but we find it difficult to craft individual logs when we attempt so many similar caches in a day. [:(!]

We found 116 caches today & DNF'd 0. Thanks for placing the cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels. Our log or stamp is not necessarily placed in the last spot in the book or sheet. If we find a blank spot when we open the log - that is where it goes.

**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found most caches within a few metres of where our GPS said we should be looking. [:(!] (We did have to look a little further afield for some though). [:(!]
**Cache Condition:** The containers and log books were mostly in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Nothing.

Thanks for the hunt today,

Regards

Ian & Penny

Tagged along with Gma Allinaday to find the FellowshipOfTheTrail series. We had a fun few days looking for all caches. I loved all the lambs in the fields but the red back spiders that were on a few of the caches not so much. Thank you for putting all the caches out there for us to find.

10-Jul-19
Finally had a spare few days to go and tackle the FellowshipOffTheTrail series with my two granddaughters. Accommodation booked in Boddington a few months earlier, which we used as our base, we set off in high spirits to find all those caches. We had some big days, and also a few shorter ones. Given that it was the middle of winter, we had near perfect caching weather. Not a drop of rain, the roads were nice and smooth with little dust. The fields were lush and green with an abundance of newly born lambs, which were a never ending source of amusement for the girls. We found most of the caches where they were meant to be. Some had been strewn a number of metres away by animals. Some fences have been realigned....one cache location was some 10metres inside a new fence. Some caches have been wiped out by the grader widening the road and pushing all the dirt up. Some trees have also succumbed to new fences. Wherever possible, we have replaced caches.....approx. 26 or so, which will keep the trail alive. Many thanks to those responsible for placing all these caches. I can only imagine how much time has gone into that.

TftcFinally had the time and inclination to begin our hunt for at least some of these caches. The sheer number is totally daunting, especially for someone who gets cache burnout after about the tenth cache. Decided I would try to double that but eventually ended up with quadruple that initial target. Wonder of wonders.......All caches were well placed and in excellent condition so it really did become a cachefest. Towards the end, we met up with Everlasting and joined her for the last ten or so hides. Had a great time. Thank of member fellows for placing these caches. Will return sometime to knock off a few more. Tftc

Well we had plans to be in Albany this week, but plans changed so we were heading towards Dunsborough when plans changed again! Needed somewhere to stop for 1 week and the LGA series popped up on our radar!

So day 1 today and a leisurely start at 8.30 and back at the caravan by 3.00pm with 175smilies today. Lucky for us the CO's had been down to do a maintenance run recently. We only replaced 1 logsheet and 1 broken container.

Out on the caching trail again with ilook4geo. The day started very early as it promised to be hot later on. We were out with ilook4geo to find a whole lot more of this LGA series and had a good rate of success. We took the same approach as yesterday and skipped over the ones that had too many DNF logs or otherwise looked to have a problem. We may have simply not found some that are in play, but didn't spend too much time on any one cache.
All found caches had our initials recorded on the log sheet and were replaced as found before we moved on. Thanks go to FellowshipOfTheTrail for this section of the trail also.

Day 4 of the caching hunt in this area along with goingplaces2. We found 112 caches in total, but missed a few along the way. Initials were added to each log sheet. It was a fun day and we were pleased with the overall result. TFTC.

We had to get a bit of a system going to speed things up a bit but only managed to deal with about ten percent of them this time. Met up with some great people. Cache co-ordinates were very accurate and the hints sped things up for us. Wow what a lot of time this must have taken to set up; kudos to the CO’s. God willing we shall return to have another dig at them.
