We hav photo of this to confirm it.... also found the remains of a calculator not too far away....but there is signs of life found a very pretty flower which i belief to be native but what i do not know.....

What to do with the circuit board... Hmm...
It's not impossible to desolder QFP surface mount chips I guess... :->

Perhaps novelty neclaces will make a come back. Happened with SIMM modules a few years ago, you never know!

It was good fun. Having never been there before I had no idea there were lots of tracks, so I just caught a track, and when it went the wrong way, scrub-bashed. Just when I was starting to feel at home again (bushrats love scrub) I came across a road(!) Ecoteam is right about the Sydway, sometimes it has the walking tracks just completely wrong. Mind you sometimes other details seem to be drawn closer to the real thing than the opposition (UBD).

Too, the satellites must have been with me, the GPS seemed to get a very very good fix. I was lead right to it. Took nothing and left some lollies. Ecoteam, what is someone supposed to do with that circuit board? Novelty necklace?

This was our 1st attempt at the ancient and noble art of Geocaching.
We worked out where to park the car with a bit of help from the map page and good old Sydney road maps.
T'was easy enough to follow the trails until 50m from the actual spot. For almost an hour, the 3 of us walked round and round in the 10m away/0m away area and did not see the cache container despite looking high and low.
We did find a Casio scientific calculator which w as of course ruined from being left out in the open, but that was it.
So well done for hiding it so well.
We'll try another of yours in the general area soon.

Peter

PS: It *was* fun to be able to get up close and personal to a pylon.

Found it easily after an initial wrong search location caused by wayward parking. The lesson - it pays to plot on the street directory accurately to work out a good parking spot.
GPS was spot on.
BTW - all of the walking tracks were wrong on our Sydway, which also cause a lot of head scratching Sad

Hey, this looks easy, just walk down this track then that one and we'll be right there - Damn, this track isn't on the map, and isn't the track supposed to be on that side of the creek? - The joys of geocaching!

Found it without any trouble, I must have passed within a meter of it last time but missed it. Had planned to hunt for the Achilles virus but the Chaos got their first! Ate the 2 remaining Freddos and left some enviromently sound fly killer. Geocachers have a sad sense of humour at times. On On On to another cache. The log is now full so bring your own if visiting.

An Ideology Geocaching maintenance crew was dispatched and added an additional log book.

The Arfers (Arfer Wake, Arfer Minute, Arfer Sleep), G1 and assorted kids found it after taking Ideology's Magical Mystery Tour around the site. Good fun, and there were no injuries from arrows! Kids took and replaced a few things, as they love to do. G1 left 2 magical geocaching marbles. Note to Ideology: The log book is getting full, only one page untouched. Sorry, we didn't have a spare to replace it for you.

Very clever name for the site. Enjoyed circumnavigating the area a couple of times.
Cheers

Found by Ray and Maya (Nomads) at 10:30AM on Tuesday June 26, 2001. We circled the cache once and not having found a convenient entry point we picked the closest approach and dived into the scrub. The reason for the cache name became clear at this point. We found the cache without difficulty. We exchanged a bundle of tie straps, an incense pot from Isaac’s Rest, and a Christmas Bear, for a Simpson’s water pistol and the RAM memory. It was a tight squeeze to fit the contents back into the container. BTW, the logbook is nearly full. Thanks from Ray and Maya - Nomads

2:25pm Perplexed Piggies perambulated.... quick, what's a word for circle that begins with 'P'! The large number of shrubberies made this one a bit hard to get a fix on, but once we found the trampled circles left by all the other circling cachers, it was easy! Left some more of those puppy snax that Ideots(!) love so much (Piggies recognise that puppies are people too!) and some other stuff. Took a fart bag... Pffffffffftt!

Well well well. The trails of destruction blazed through the undergrowth were slightly overwhelming. Broken branches entire uprooted saplings and mutilated bush grass greeted us at every turn. Nevertheless cache was well hidden and the circling destruction only served to misdirect us away from the Bullseye Actually we came from a different direction altogether from the Back of Epping. The walk took us past whale rock, then back about 3 Kilometres and up a steep incline about a vertical distance of about 80 M and then out under the power line. We followed the line to the bushy location and circum navigated it to ensure it was indeed in there, somewhere. An awful lot of rubbish was found on the way, which we collected and dumped at the nearest bin. May I suggest others do the same with this and other caches and we'll have that much more a pleasant geo caching experience. Took: Hawaii Lava Rock. Left 2 x 32 MB 100 MHz SDRAM DIMMS.

Cache 4 for the day.
Saturday morning is not the best time for access to this cache, but eventually got past all the sporting kids. We then got away from the crowd into some bush. Getting hungry thinking about those freddos. We had to work to find this one. Munched on some freddos and left some assorted small toys for the next finders.

Well, we trusted the force, or GPS rather, and ended up bush bashing 350m straight across the valley, and when we were almost there we burst out onto the trail! Ugh!. Nice one Ideology, well hidden, and an intresting set of clues/photos. 2 out of 2 so foar for today. Enjoyed much needed bush tucker on discovery. Took a litle torch, and a couple of Fredo's for our missing comrades. still plenty iof frogs to go. topped up cache with a few goodies, and of course a cache-Monkey! Geomonkeys strike again!

I can understand why we didn't find this one at night, it is very well hidden. Got it this time though.

The old cow was finally able to find a virgin bull. Could sniff the freddos a mile off.
This was my second attempt, the first time was an afterthought as I went shopping , this time I was prepared.I took the Houndog along for the trip(well someone had to hold the GPS). Good fun cache, not as hard to find as first thought.
Enjoyed the freddos and left some nice stuff.

Found this cache in tandem with Snifter (see her log) so I guess it only counts as one find.
Good One Ideology! Freddos were the order of the day. Don't worry still plenty left for the next finders.

Spent about an hour scratching about but failed to locate stash, not sure why. Could be a bad GPS day who knows. Will try again later. Think about the name and you will know where to park.

26-Apr-01
It's 9pm on Friday, couldn't be bothered washing up, what can we do.... I know, let's do that new stash down the road! Off we wandered with high hopes and bright torches but we couldn't find it after an hour of wandering around range zero. We returned with much dimmer torches and no success, but we'll be back again later.
