Weve come to Stanthorpe for 2 nights in our van to hopefully finish getting enough caches to earn the current souvenirs. We had a great day today finding a variety of hides but I must admit Ill be happy not to see another granite boulder for a while!!!We loved coming here. Christmas is my favourite time of year. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the placement and maintenance of these caches.

In the local area for a weekend with friends staying at a rustic cabin. So whilst we are in the middle of nowhere, there is a tree fishing cache 100m away. So i was able to explain the game and get the kids inquisitive. Today, whilst visiting the business nearby, there was a "no dogs allowed" sign. As i feigned disappointment, i volunteered to take the dog for a quick walk. Notquiteyet knew exactly what i was up to and brought muggle callum with him. The cache container was found quite quickly and all our names were entered into the logbook. Thanks very much for the cache Granite Belt Cachers. Cheers.

After camping the night at Storm King Dam we are making our way back home, taking the scenic route. JDavs got very excited when we pulled up and she discovered we were at the Christmas tree farm. The cache was found without issue and of course we then had to go in and look around. A really cool place to check out if you’re not a grinch. Leaving a FP for the joy JDavs had being here.

First cache of the day. Spent quite a while admiring all the beautiful decorations, and visiting with the animals before heading out to find the cache. There were quite a few families enjoying lunch and ice cream in the afternoon sun.

Easy find for my first cache of the day.

Signed the log.
Took nothing.
Left a little swag

TFTC ... I probably would not have come out here if it wasn't for this cache. Smile

We had the opportunity to spend Easter in Stanthorpe so took advantage of the days off to find some caches while we were here. We were met by the lovely friendly owner at the gate. She had just come down to change the sign over to closed. She asked us if we were looking for the cache and when we said yes she laughed and said, keep looking then! Laughing, she gave us a quick hint and we found the cache straight away. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache.

This weekend, an overnighter at Girraween National Park was planned with the aim to tackle Mount Norman. An early start on Saturday had me attend Warwick parkrun and visit Warwick, Leslie Dam, Stanthorpe, and then Girraweeen to walk to Underground Creek. On Sunday, it was a walk/hike through Girraween's south vicinity visiting Mount Norman, Castle Rock, and Turtle Rock, before venturing across the NSW border, and then heading northwards via Ballandean and Stanthorpe, detouring past the *Elementary* series and *Stan's Apple* series.

Today, my plan was starting out the day with Warwick parkrun at 07:00 hr, and subsequent geocaching within the Warwick area. I also visited Leslie Dam which was a nice picnic spot, before then detouring back through Warwick for a late breakfast, and continued my onwards journey south along the New England Highway to Stanthorpe. I found a few of the *Snow Flakes* granite geocaches, partially conducted the *Fruit Run*, drove east past Stanthorpe Airport finding some of the *Stan's Apple* geoart, before then visiting Mt Marley and Quart Pot Creek. We then took a late afternoon walk in Girraween National Park to Underground Creek, before establishing our campsite for the night.

What a cool spot for a cache! I enjoyed seeing all the christmas trees upon approach. There appeared to be a couple of red herrings like fake plant and cable ties, but upon making a loop around the old vehicle, I soon spotted the cache and made the find. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks Granite Belt Cachers for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

property owner just coming through the gate told us where to look.

We are staying in Applethorpe for a few nights to look for a few of the many caches in the area we still have not found.
Finally the rain has stopped. Grass still wet but that isn't stopping us

Here on a caching holiday and while we were always going to visit this cache/establishment we had not planned on visiting on a weekend. Was very busy so we looked in between cars and walkers going past, I missed it on the first look, but RFC spotted a telltale sign when she looked in the same spot and came up with the goods. We went inside and had a photo with a nice tree as opposed to Santa. Braving the hordes, we shopped for some Christmas items and then beat a hasty retreat back to the peacefulness of caching along the country roads.

**Found Sunday 13-November-2022 at 10:36 Smiley #1991**

Chasing some attributes for the November challenge, so we started road tripping. Drove past what felt like thousands, just to chase certain caches for the Off Road Attribute.

After visiting the Christmas Farm, we couldn't help but stop and grab this one. Took a little bit to spot, and grab in between the constant stream of visiting cars. With the help of the phone camera, we eventually spotted it, grabbed and signed before replacing as found.

Cache logs are either stamped, signed with Rogersclan13 or just RC13 for space. Thanks for the cache **Granite Belt Cachers** Big Grin

We’re visited the beautiful Christmas farm.

10-Jul-22
The Hogfather is originally a winter god. In the deep winters, people of old feared that spring might never again come, so they gave bloody sacrifice of hogs to the Hogfather. Nowadays, the Hogfather is expected to travel in a sleigh pulled by hogs and every Hogswatchnight to bring gifts to all the children, or at least, those who believe in him; this yields a worshipper range of most of the Discworld except for the Counterweight continent and the continent of Klatch. Despite this impressive range, crass commercialization of the holiday compromised the belief in Hogfather, and then interference from the Auditors of Reality severely threatened his existence.

We heard about this through the grapevine and figured we should check it out. I loved the trees and the old truck. Thanks for the cache

Well who would have thought that I'd celebrate Christmas in July amongst so many Christmas trees!
After a lovely lunch it would have been churlish not to grab this cache with the Tessmann crew alongside.

09-Jul-22
A beautiful spot for some Christmas shopping and yummy food. But even if they’re closed, you can still view the trees and grab this Geo! TFTC.

Another find on Peppa and PirateLinda's Brisbane to Stanthorpe Jaunt.
Cute little trees - shame they'll murdered before adulthood ??

08-Jul-22
PirateLinda and I have journeyed to Stanthorpe to attend the Catch-up in Stanthorpe event… With nothing more pressing, we’re making a long weekend of it…

The giant thermometer in Stanthorpe announced it was 11.0 degrees today… which meant at some stages I had three layers of clothing on, including a down jacket…

I wonder where the fake snow factory is…

A really quick find… tftc…??

Left Simrebel’s Agent Burns 2020 Geocoin to carry on…

Have not had a caching run for a few weeks, so decided to find some lonely back roads from Warwick to Applethorpe. Of course, they had to contain a few caches. Had hoped for about 10, came home with 15! Can't complain about that. Morning tea and lunch, then some tasting a the cheese factory!

Easy find on this lonley road, We left a TB for a wee break!

Thanks Granite belt cachers for the hide.

24-Jan-21
I have just had the best weekend caching around the Warwick, Summit and Stanthorpe areas. With caching buddies (geonayfee, Willis007 and Triple Turmoil) for the weekend we got in a very large number of caches, completing the apple geoart, the fruit run and a few other special caches along the way. I had a fantastic weekend with lots of laughs and funny events it just made for a fun time; the puzzle solving in the lead up to the weekend was great also.

A big thanks to all the CO’s of the caches along the way; for placing and maintaining the caches for us to enjoy. Visiting this area and seeing places I would never see in a normal trip here was enlightening, so again thanks.

In the weekend I got around 180 caches so firstly apologies for the generic part to the log, I do not remember all specifically but some did stand out so I will add a little to those in my posts.

Day two and it was an early start, there is so much still to get in the area. A fun and eventful day in many ways, lol.

24-Jan-21
Day two on our epic journey around Stanthorpe and surrounds with Chamad, TripleTurmoil and Willis007.

After some much needed rest we woke up bright and early (Thanks Chamad for the farmyard sounds) and set off for another full day of caching around Stanthorpe to clear up the rest of the Stanthorpe Apple and a few other caches in between, then we slowly made our way back north towards Warwick while grabbing a bunch of caches we didn't get yesterday.

Same as yesterday we had a wonderful time exploring the area. I really enjoy visiting this part of the world, it's a great feeling to get out of the city and enjoy the country life.

Thank you to each and every CO for placing caches at these locations. We had a great time.

Signed as Twocans

24-Jan-21
After meeting Willis007 and Chamad at a previous event over New Years, they invited me to join them on an epic geoart mission at Stanthorpe. After weeks of puzzling and planning, today was the day (together with Nayfee). We covered a lot of mileage, had a lot of laughs and learnt a lot along the way.

Between Warwick and Stanthorpe there are a LOT of caches to sign and we did a pretty good job of getting every single one we could - signed as Twocan to save 25 seconds of signing at each cache, as we had work to do!

24-Jan-21
Heading out to Stanthorpe this weekend to grab some of the wonderful caches on offer out here. Our group of Triple Turmoil, CHAMAD and NayFee signed logs as team TWOCAN.
An easy find at gz today.
Thank you for the cache Granite Belt Cachers.
