It took me a few minutes to track down the whereabouts of this cache. There was nothing wrong with the coordinates but the container was largely hidden by vegetation.
On our way to Kaikoura. Quick find here.Would have liked to have taken some of these rocks back to my garden.
On a road trip with Net61 from Blenheim to Kaikoura collecting caches as we head south. Quick find here. We have found a few of these caches today. Love the big pile of rocks near gz. TFTC
On the way south to Kaikoura I needed a short break from driving, so I stopped at the side of the road and checked my app. A cache was very close by, so I took the short walk back and found the cache after short time. TFTC #436
One of the more interesting park and grabs today in the motorhome, hopefully no one noticed me taking it down the short driveway. Cache all good here, cheers
Driving down to Kaikoura for the weekend and collecting as many caches as I can. Another quick park and grab. If you know what you are looking for it does make it easier. Cache and log all fine. Thanks for the smiley
Our first official geocache our family has ever found thanks so much! Off to find the next.

Another quick find and a good chance to stretch out legs before the next trek - on we go, TFTC

Drove from Koromiko to Kaikoura today and picked up a few caches along the way. Didn’t take long to spot this one despite the vegetation. That’s what helps hide it a little! #5981. TFTC.
That took us a few moments and I noticed it when Busypaws nearly stood on it and she hadn’t realised
Nearly stood on it!! Oh for heavens sake! TFTC found with the girls from CHCH on our way home
Caching trip with busy paws, lytteltonwitch and coconuts3. Day 6! Homeward bound. A bit overgrown here but eventually we spotted it. Tftc.

Picking up a few of the caches we hadnt got to as we travelled through on trips. TFTC
Stormy more time looking for this one than we should have given we'd done other of these hides. Thanks for another history lesson
A nice secluded little train spot.
I've done a number of these hides now so it was straight to it.
The only issue I had, was everything kept blowing away in the wind.
Thanks for putting this here TS

I have stopped here at a previous occasion, but there was a lot going on, so I left it for a better day - today! TFTC!!
After parking the snail shell up in Kaikoura it was time to visit all those caches I saw on the way south and couldn't stop at.
Another side road of the main one to get to the station.
Cheers for the cache.

Staying in Kaikoura for Easter and decided to go collect a few caches on the road North toward Clarence River. Found this whilst returning from visiting the cache at the Clarence River WW2 radar site. A nice quick find, helped by having found other caches in this series. Thanks for the placement tS.
On my way South for a week of work in Hanmer I pulled in here for a brief stop and a quick easy find. Made sure I put the logbook back in open end first. This makes it a lot easier to get out for the next person.
Really interesting history, such a shame they removed the passenger platform. Hard to imagine this lonely spot as having trains picking up locals for travel. Thanks for bringing me here Seagnoid
Quick and easy find once you know what you're looking for! Leaving a trail of Xmas baubles along the way. TFTC!
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on wet or plastic logs)
*We soon had another good cache located, now onto the next one!*
Another night time find for us.

I headed down to Kaikoura from Blenheim today. The main purpose was the Geo Tour Caches. Found a few others along the way as well. On the way back now, doing a few on the left as we go. Ok this ones on the right, couldn't pull over earlier on the way south due to a tailgater. Cheers and TFTC
First find today, a quick find of the signature hide. All good here, TFTC the Seagnoid.
Another Friday afternoon drive to ChCh for the weekend, I have a new vehicle to pick up and my niece’s 18th. A few caches found on the left hand side on the way down, as you do, before the darkness hit just north of ChCh. Maybe a few more tomorrow. Thanks to all COs.

Heading south, turned in on the wrong side road so it meant a short walk further along the railway line to this one. Enjoying finding this quality series of Marlborough rail caches today thanks Seagnoid. Interesting history too.
I had originally planned a 2 day overnight caching road trip but some family commitments intervened which shortened my plan to a 1 (long) day road trip instead. I aimed for the east coast south of Blenheim and went for it. Although the weather on the day started out a bit grim and grey, it brightened up as the day wore on and I had a great time finding 40+ caches along the way. Yes, another interesting listing and cache. TFTC, Biggles.
Meanwhile this is my third geocaching-trip to Middle-Earth . And I love it! [:X]
Still there are routes and places in this beautiful country that are on the 'discover-me' list and want to be visited and explored. .
Starting from Kaikoura, this day (#21) was dedicated to drive up north to Blenheim along the beautiful, scenic route #1 at the coastline [^] - a new experience .
The weather was again blessed with blue skies
Was happy to visit quite a few geo-treasures that seamed the route - just like this one:
The addiction to my new passion (=to collect Marlborough rail caches by the Seagnoid ) is further growing by this great hide !
Thanks to the owner [:X] for placing and maintaining these cool rail-caches and best regards from Germany!

Great cache and nice to get another in the series. Quick trip to Clarence this afternoon to meet my parents who had brought my caravan up from Christchurch. All good. TFTC
Found on 25/01/2019.
I was up at the top of the South Island competing in the South Island Orienteering Champs. This gave me some time to grab some caches on the way there and back. It was great fun to explore a new part of the coutntry.

I had a thought when walking to this cache - maybe a challenge cache could be created to find all the Manawatu rail caches AND all the Marlborough caches!! I’d be a starter. Just a thot. TFTC.
Out and about on a road trip from Papamoa to Dunedin. No problem with the find. Merry Christmas and TFTC.
We parked out on the main drag and did the short wander down to the cache - another great little container thanks. Cheers
Thanks for this cache, the Seagnoid- found with warfi on our road trip home after the Welly Mega. This was actually our last cache of the day.
A quick easy find of a familiar Marlborough rail container. TFTC

We were pleased to have a quick find as there were people in the wider area. We had the cache found and were on our way before anyone could wonder why we were there.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Heading south for a week in CHCH picking up a few caches whenever I felt like a 'drivers leg stretch'. Liked the look of this one so pulled over, no problem with the drive way in as I'd scoped the location on Google Maps before leaving home. Completely overthought the hide discounting it on the first pass, but finding nothing around and about had a second look. Well done on the camo. Cache and log book all good. Thanks for the hide and cache.
This is our second in this series. We will be looking to do some more on our way north next month.
+ a marble, - nothing.

A quick and easy find. GPS didn't know the short cut! Thanks
A weekend away, first this month!! Time to cache around a bit and then head home.
Thanks to the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

Heading South for a break and a bit of Geocaching. Grabbing a few on the way to Kaikoura.
Quick find at GZ, seen a few of these hides now.
Signed log, TFTC the Seagnoid.

I enjoyed reading the cache page as I have very fond memories a wee caching adventure under the bridge to bumandworker's cache out by the river mouth. I turned down a road too early and was surprised at the number of campers ensconced down there. It's been over 6 months since Sidewaze and I travelled down the line but we stopped at Parikawa Station that day so it felt good to be completing these further South ones this trip - have a favourite. TFTC # 12,384
Being a relief teacher with a campervan and a supportive family, I decided it was time to make use of the school holidays. So I am off to Malborough for a few days.
Well worth the wee detour. Thankfully the traffic was thinking at the right moment.

Found with StreetWalker as we head home from Blenheim to Christchurch after an enjoyable long weekend.
Another nice hide and another one where we appreciated the trail head co-ordinates. TFTC.

The Seagnoid, Zara, Toby and I are on a 3 day adventure of Kaikoura. We are in Clarence for Friday Night. So Toby! lets get exploring!
After exploring part of Clarence Valley road we still have time to spare so its a quick stop here to snag and tag this one. Cheers. No trains while I was here. Last time I was here they were removing the old platform as part of the rebuild and maintenance program.

Last cache in this series this morning before heading south to Kaikoura and trying out the excellently engineered new road after the earthquake destruction of a year ago. I have really admired the CO's handiwork with the containers, that really does set a standard! Another quick find here - signed log, TFTC!
On a 10-day Marlborough holiday from Rotorua with sveppi. OUr main adventure this trip is a 5-day guided rafting journey down the Clarence river. We stayed at the rafting place in our tent last night as we are meeting the rest of our group today. In the morning after breakfast we walk along the train line for 100m to grab this cache. We had avoided this series on our way down the coast as we are not big fans of what are generally mint tins in random places just for the excuse of another park and grab to quickly grow numbers. Anyways, all this to say we were pleasantly surprised by the quality of the hide and the work that has gone into producing the cache pages as well. So well done in bucking the trend.
Quick find as we camped nearby at the Clarence Rafting place. Nice hide and decent cache page to boot. TFTC
Spotted this one as we drove into the yard and stopped vehicle to hide retrieval. Quick sign and we were off again. tftc
Mr & Mrs W swapped children with Melonious and headed off on a caching trip with their Miss 9. The aim - to grab as many caches between Seddon and Clarence while it's quiet (before the road reopens). An icy wind didn't deter us and a 5 hour round trip saw a few more smileys on the map Seems there is a site office very near to GZ but thankfully no-one home when we arrived. Strategic parking added extra cover. TFTC.
Late afternoon and the place was deserted, quick find and then it was time to turn around and head north again. I must say it's nice having an empty road to drive on but I am looking forward to the road to Kaikoura being opened again. Thanks Seagnoid

Walked in just in case the house was occupied.
The track repair machines parked here, but I signed in peace.
The boffins reckon line will be open on the 18th, but that won't happen. Not far away though. Just one more head land to go round, and a tunnel entrance to unblock. Workers each way can see each other. Once tracks fixed, goods (but not people) will start (slowly) moving.....may be end of this month.
As for the road...seems Xmas is just a wish ! Lot of work required yet.
Thanks a lot Seagnoid

A friendly face in the nearby yard was amused to see another visitor here today, found and replaced quickly and end of the line for now.
Today is one of those so called 2 days and I had already got an early morning First TF cache before heading home after a formal dinner last night, so thought all my caching was done for the day. Upon arriving home I checked my geocaching map and discovered some new green splodges had appeared overnight. We have nothing planned for the day so a slow and lazy day was 'planned'. I was keen to get out in the car in the winter sun so we agreed on a trip to Clarence after lunch and shopping was completed. Got the 3 newbies, along with Clarenece river fishing so a pleasant haul. More awesome write ups from t S, and the end of the line (for now?). All easily found and all replaced as found in second position after Kiwimykl's earlier visits.
