On my way into being preoccupied for the evening, and given that it could be a late one, I thought I'd grab a cache beforehand. It was a slightly damp walk to and from this one, but not unpleasant. I investigated a few of the hint items at GZ, and was investigated myself by a four legged muggle, before eventually finding the cache. Great little hide here in a beautiful spot, TFTC!
Thanks for my first find. V-ery intreeging hiding spot and a rewarding view once I emerged
This one took me a while, but finally found it! Had to read some of the other log entries for hints TFTC!
A little hot and bothered, as rustynz made me climb the hill and steps ti get to the cache. Then it was a bit of wandering, but as previous logs stated, the tree has survived, and the v did it. Thanks for the, hide, amazing views.
It's only 200+ m that way I said to rebel98 as we walked towards the cache. Hey who put those steps there? So at gz it was not a quick find, but eventually I went over to an area I had not searched and there it was as obvious as anything.Thankful to be signing the log, we worked to get to this one. Fun find in the end G-2
Day 11: North Shore and the CityToday was the day I claimed by 8000th milestone, and what better way to do it than with an elaborate gadget cache to cap it off. We headed off early today to get up to Castor Bay, and it still took almost an hour in the traffic. After that, I went down to Takapuna, while the family headed off for their own things. After that, it was a ferry ride from Devonport into the city to meet up with the wife for the train ride home. A very nice slate of caches again today, I continue to be impressed with what you Auckland cachers come up with in tricky urban environments. Thanks for the inspirations and for keeping the game as fun as it is! (End of the cut and paste bit)This is the specific log for this cache:Since we were nearby for Sam Hunt and had some time to kill after, we popped by Kennedy Park for a little stroll in the crisp morning breeze. And a stiff one it was. Found this in the midst of doing the AL here, and I emerged from the bush to see the wife greeting me. She figured that the only person in the park who would be crazy enough to be in there was a cacher. How right she is! TFTC!
Quite a few small trees cut down but the tree in question is still there. Another great camo
Out and about with Pyphant and Greenkiwikid the youngest while his sisters are enjoying "Armageddon" in Epsom. There has been some cutting down of trees going on close by and debris is lying around, but the cache is not affected, still safe and sound, nice and dry. Thanks for hiding and maintaining. Tftc
Found in a wet day. Impatient dog and yucky rain so didn’t sign it today.

This one took a week bit of searching as wasn't where the GPS indicated.
All safe and dry.

Came here on my walk today - about 12 km in at this point. I did 4 stages of the Ad Lab (accidentally missed one and didn't want to backtrack), then had some lunch, and then poked around in the plants for a bit until I found the cache.
Nice camo! Thanks for placing it!

Great to find another cache on this scenic walk, and another stunning viewpoint near GZ too! Cache contents are in great condition, works have also been completed so you can access the beach via stairs once again. TFTC!
tftc easy find sl and replaced Up here from southland for Christmas so was good to find a couple of caches during the holiday!
M24: another nice cache hidden in plain sight, log is signed and all is good. TFTC.
Here to do the adventure lab, but of course I’ll grab the other caches on the way.
Found this one straight away.
Also managed to take the hard way into the bushes, to realize there was a much, much easier way 1.5 meters away. -.-
Anyway, thanks for the cache!

A nice quick find. Another new park visited. Thanks for placing your cache.
I'm in Auckland and I am exploring the region while I am based here. Today was a good day, I cruised around and about the North Shore, there is so much to see here! The weather was pretty good, and I had a great time.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Out today to do the Adventure Lab here, but also do a few caches. After being muggled at two other caches today, I headed to this one eager to make a find.
Upon arriving at GZ it didn't take long before I spotted something a little out of place. The log and cache is all in good condition. Nice hide along a nice walk. TFTC #1364

Found this with AliGle while working on the Adventure Lab here. A nice easy find at GZ. TFTC!

Enjoyed our walk along the cliff to GZ - even got asked directions by some tourists (must have looked like locals) Cache was quickly located and we headed off to the next cache. Great history here, thanks for the cache placement. TFTC

Doing the AL and grab on way back. What a cool area to come too. Love WW2 history. Cache in good condition. Tftc.
Out again with Mum (SethRaven) gathering this months mountain and a challenge for Christchurch. Enjoying this spot today, reading all the information boards and having a good wander. TFTC
Out on the North Shore with 2FLYTim, we are gathering finds for the next mountain and also working towards the Spelling Bee challenge in Chch . . . . . . takes a bit of planning but this is the third month of the Spelling Bee and so far so good. TF
Nice little lookup point here with the breeze making this very hot day bearable. TFTC
QEF whilst Phil sea swimming. Lucky there was a writing stick as I seem to have dropped mine en route. SL TFTC
Needed to get out of the house with the geo-kids today so decided to head over this way for some caches, the adventure lab and some fun.
Found the toughest way in, quickly found the cache and then found the quicker and easier way back out.
Thanks for the cache.

Came to do the Ad Lab but it is trying to rain, it's high tide so can't get to the beach so sent GeohoundandI in to find this one instead.
Fun bit of bush bashing and an amazing view while out getting our steps in. TFTC
Nobody around & although a bit of pruning has gone on in the area, a nice quick find. TFTC
First up and we were really pleased we came here as there are plenty of places of interest here, signs to read, and sights to be seen. Unusually I headed straight to the cache and locked eyes on pretty quickly. Seems I wasn't the only person caching here today either. T F T C G_2.
A trip out 'anywhere' was the trick for Saturday morning, with a few gardening and section duties eating up the remainder of the day. We headed initially to Campbells Bay but the tide wasn't that favorable so changed to Castor Bay, and the places of interest up there. Did the Ad Lab places as well as the Trads on offer up there and were back home for midday so not a big one, thanks to the COs for their caches.
In line with the NZ Geocache Reviewers guidance on what Covid Level 3, Part 1 looks like, geocaching IS permitted, but there are not to be any events or any new listings. It seems the NZ Covid website has failed to maintain pace with Lockdown level amendments and changes and is still lumping Geocaching in with Orienteering and other gathering type activities. Link from Facebook; https://www.facebook.com/NZGeocachingReviewers/ for further details.
Update - Level 3.2 due to be applied in Auckland region at 2359 09 Nov 21 will be allowing new listings to be published, still no Events though.

Found it! We originally thought it was a V can, but it’s not... walk around to find a walk way which makes access easier ! Thanks
We were a bit worried as there were lots of trees but didn’t take us long. Thanks.
Tidy little cache as usual. Decided not to bush bash and behold there was a much easier way in. Headed for fence as per earlier log and spotted the cache. Super sharp pencil, yay!
Day 24 off my TA adventure...heading into the city today from Long bay hopefully grabbing a few along the way
Not the easiest to access with a pack on your back tftc

Nearly gave up, but we went deeper closer to the fence and found the V shape tree! Great cache thank you
Oh! So that's what a v in the tree is! Didnt take too long before I spotted this well camoed guy! TFTC
Nestled amongst some trees and a good clue to pay attention to. Yet another good camo cache by G-2. I had to really crawl to avoid being whacked by branches.
Nice find while in the area with tmann421 today
Enjoying the trip north and the caches

Testing Mark's leg with a slightly longer walk to GZ this afternoon. Got there and back ok. At GZ it did not take long to locate the cache. Thanks.
Just a matter of which one. Another nicely constructed cache. Beautiful day for it. Tftc
100th CACHE YES YES YES! and a great hiding spot too took a while to open the cache but got therein the end TFTC
Fabulous day for a walk along the cliff tops with great views and with the added bonus of finding this great and well made Cache
Cleverly hidden

First we found the caches at Castor Bay, then we went here. We have never entered the park from Castor Bay before, interesting approach. Tftc!
Out for a walk, found with Mr 6 and Miss 4. Bit of a scrabble around but got there in the end. Thanks!
Another lunchtime stroll and a nice day for it too. Needed this cache to fill a calendar spot (JASMER) Didn't take long to get the right direction and spotted it.Gosh this cache is really well crafted, giving it a fav point. SL. TFTC.
Out getting a multi a day for 10 days straight, a challenge in Wellington I'm doing. But this cache isn't part of that... Zorks JFK was. Your JFK is also A OK! But I spent more time looking than FMZ did, he spotted it straight-away! Walking to this cache, I see the stairs down the cliff have fallen apart, land slide I suppose! Wonder if they will ever be repaired! Cheers G.
A quick find here for me after Gorby had been looking for a wee while. My phone happened to point straight to it. Nice one. TFTC!!!
We went for a quiet day out today, to go to a few beaches and pick up a couple of caches
Great park this, tunnels were open later today

As we were about to search two cute little dogs surrounded us making us feel a bit like piggies in the middle but their muggle owner soon guided them away and when the coast was clear we made a quick find.
There were no explosions from the guns today although Mrs Coblet's sneeze shook the nearby bushes.
Shame about the nearby stairs, still not repaired after all this time.

Out visiting new areas today after getting a car this week and collecting some more caches.Arrived at gz and noticed something that could of been in the style of this cache owner and as we got closer it was indeed.Managed to sign the log whilst looking out to sea.
While I was searching the usual suspects, I looked up and spotted something much more suspicious. TFTC.
Good coordinates made it an immediate find of the nicely camoed cache. Mrs SoBad was out for a walk with our host, while our hostess and SoBad were watching the cricket. The walkers think our departure was the cause of the English cricket teams departure. Right or wrong, the cache was found and log signed.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Was driving past so popped in for the cache and to check out the stairs. still no progress on the repairs. Not likely until late 2018 I hear. Great views from GZ. Tftc
Still a bit muddy around here, but with the planned "heat wave" we decided to give it a go, quick find at GZ, TFTC
Morning spent on the water at Lake Pupuke, now to tackle the flooded pathways to JFK and just another .... ....! GPS initially jumpy, but once it settled cache quickly located. TFTC
Popped out for an hour or so of caching fun this morning, before work this afternoon. This was my first stop. I parked up in the car park and made the walk over to GZ. The ground was rather water logged, so I was pleased with my choice to wear gumboots. Nice views across the water from up here. Once at GZ the find was swift as I spotted the hide almost immediately. Cheers for the cache placement!
A clifftop walk on a blustery day with Miss One in the backpack. Quick find, thanks!
Park a bit squelchy after all the rain, quickly spotted something out of place.

The rain was threatening again as we walked up to this cache. Parts of the track up was very muddy and soggy so we squelched our way to gz. It didn't take too long to find, then a race back to the car before the rain set in
Wandered up here from the beach, with the rain starting up again. With all the rain recently, parts of the track were very muddy and it was a soggy walk to GZ. Quick find before we returned to the car before the rain really came down.
Out with Merlot58 and Aiden29 collecting caches on the North Shore. We should have read previous logs before attempting this one, as it was very muddy on our approach to GZ. After reading the hint, it didn't take long to find this one. TFTC.
Was unsure whether to attempt this as the black clouds were looming over the city and appeared to be heading this way. Donned the gumboots (essential caching equipment lately) and walked briskly over to GZ. Soon located the cache and back to the car just before the heavy rain started. TFTC
Spent a few minutes looking for this one as several things fitted the hint. About to give up when I spotted it. Clever camo.TFTC
Popped over the bridge after work to get this new one !
Came from the Castor Bay end .... oops I forgot there was a hill this way.... !
Finally got there...and luckily it was a quick find !
Thanks Glyn

So close to home we had to get this one. Thought we might be too late as we had not checked for anything new and had been distracted by the Americas Cup this morning. Great to see an empty log so First to Find. Nice camo, nice hide. Thanks G-2.
ps Thanks supernanny.

Swung past this way later in the afternoon, and walked down for a quick find. We used to fly our RC gliders off the cliff here, and always enjoy coming back to this park, cheers Glyn
