Rather frustrating experience trying to find how to get into the right location, then walking through the wet grass for ages, just to get to another fence (charged!), walk around, finally get to gz, just to dnf. We were not going to give up lightly given the effort, but we could not even locate a suitable hint object. Plenty of logs but no hint object in sight.
Well, they are huge. We were not sure whether we were on the right track, but obviously this is a domain with a fence in the middle... TFTC
A fire nearby distracted us a little but after a search around, we still have not found.
Out with Busy paws today, we walked across the Domain to this one. GPS was a little iffy, we searched a likely stump but came up with nothing, looked around the general area as well, came back to the likely stump again and searched, about ready to give it a miss when I came up with the cache. Happy not to DNF this one. Thanks for the cache RAYZR .
Out with Geomum and we had a few doubts. However, perseverence paid off as Geomum came up with the smiley, and happy chappies were we!! Fantastic quiet spot for a cache, but it gets a bit lonely. Lots of friendship given today. TFTH ]8D]
Found with nissan 65. Flew in from sydney for a short holiday. Hoping to see as much as i can on the south island and pick up caches along the way . Thanku for the cache.
Had to make a mad dash down to Timaru for an appointment this afternoon. Arrived at the city boundary 40 minutes early! So filled in the spare time geocaching, as you do. Found 3 caches, made the appointment meeting place in time, and then had to hang around because the other party was late. This caused me to be late leaving Timaru and thus I had to leave out the majority of caches I had planned to seek on the way home. This was the only cache looked for on the way home. I'm glad the grass was dry but the electric fence was a bit of a stopper that took some careful negotiation - I wasn't game to see if it was "live" - I've been bitten before.[xx(]. Nice quick find at GZ. Thanks for the cache Rayzr2.
I'm sure I didn't approach this from the intended way but it worked never the less. Thanks for the hide! #2983
#15751. There was a decent walk to GZ, across (yet more) wet grass. Quick find once we got to GZ. TFTC.
Our last day in Waimate, so we thought we'd better find some Waimate caches before heading back home to Christchurch . We set out at 8am on a grey dismal morning, eager to find as many caches as possible before the forecast rain started (luckily it remained dry until late morning).
We parked at the domain entrance and walked across the wet field to GZ. StreetWalker took the direct route (across the fence) while I went the long way via the gate, so he had found the cache by the time I reached GZ. We had just one more cache on the list for the drive back - a drive by - so changed into dry clothes and shoes. Great to be wearing dry clothes after caching in long wet grass fr most of the day. TFTC.

After finding the right way in it was then a quickish find, although not as the Cache name suggest.TFTH
I have passed by here several times but for various reasons never made the effort to stop. Today I parked up at the domain entrance and wandered over only to see that I actually could've driven a lot closer. Never mind its a lovely day and the short walk is good for me. Pleased to have a smiley here now instead of the previous green blot on the landscape. TFTC # 12,042
After finally finding our way to the correct side of the electric fence, it was an easy find! Beware the blackberry! TFTC
Made use of the day off for a days caching around Orari and Geraldine. Parked up by the hall and went for a wander to GZ. Quick find at GZ although not the first place I looked.
Staying nearby so an after dinner excursion to pick up some caches in the area. A nice quick find after a walk across the Domain. TFTC
Hmm, electric fences. I don't like them, they can bite! So took the longer route and found it soon after arriving at the tree. Cheers
A long walk across the domain in the heat, then a bit of a search for the hint item, after which the cache was a quick easy find. TFTC
gates open grass is cut. Far to hot for walking so drove over with the AC running
Into an area I had not explored before. Hmm wrong side of the electric fence, a few crafty moves and I was off again, the mown track was very thoughtful - great placement!
The only trouble with these placements is I imagine the specimens at home ready for the fire!.
Thanks

Great day out caching in the area, lot of neat caches, and lots of walking. Many Thanks Bitsprayer
Something on at the hall tonight. A nice stroll in the park and we soon had it in our hands. Some beautiful old trees here. TFTC.
This was the eighth day of my driving trip down to Oamaru for Geofest 2017. I stopped every five to ten kms or so along the way to grab a cache. This expanded my driving time to a total of two weeks to get there and home again. I ended up going a total of 3,500 kms.
I didn't find the easy way in, but took the long way around. Signed right after tuolei who I know from Auckland. TFTC.

We did the cache on the other side of the domain and saw this one so decided it was close enough to wander across and see if we could find it. Saw the gap in the fence so didn't have any trouble with the route and was quickly at the right place. For a bit I was looking in the wrong place but then I adjusted my looking spot and found the cache. Quickly signed and replaced the log. Decided to make a bit more of a direct walk back and went straight over the fence which fortunately was not "wired". All good here, and thanks for the cache.
On our way to the Geofest in Oamaru, got this far and decided to stop for the night. TFTC
7639. Found on way to Oamaru gathering. Short log in McCafe. Longer log later. TFTC. Rodney and Iris.
Got it! Also found a lost little Traveller mumbling something about a person with a fascination for England and oak leaves...
Relocating that poor bugger.

Hmm, is this a private paddock? Hot wire was cold, but i detoured to the rail corridor most of the way to gz, then a quick up over sign and back over the fence to safety. Cheers
A nice sunny saturday. caching time to Geraldine.
Thanks to all of the CO's for the hides. Cheers.

Had a bit of a problem finding the best way to get to it. After driving around we decided to go across the domain and P clambered the rest of the way. TFTC
Enjoyed the wee walk and the clamber. What a beaut Sequoia. Always like to tease the littlies by punching the bark of these trees. It is sooo soft!!!Wonder why one was planted just there many years ago?? Thanks R.
Nice 'quick' find here after working out the best way to get to it. As I was walking to GZ I was thinking it's just like a little bit of England with the pines and oak leaves laying around. Cheers (3rd to find )
The allure of a ftf and to clear up some other caches around the south Canterbury area brought me down here today. A good frost on the ground made for a rather cold search. A well hidden one. Tftc [FTF]
The chance of a ftf on this one were slim as I had to work in timaru today and ya have to get up early to beat TM so after a couple of ftfs in Geraldine I headed over to one of my old haunts (lived nearby for 10 years) .
Once I was at gz it was a quick find but I believe this paddock isn't part of the domain ( I may be wrong ) but extra stealth needed just in case because all the leave litter makes quite a noise tftc
