I felt like exploring Alexandra and doing a bit of relaxed caching today And as Star the Geo-car has been cleaned prior to servicing, and wanted to admire the shiny paintwork for at least a few days That means staying out of the forest Shady little town and may come back here sometime.

Another day in beautiful country Victoria exploring with friends. today we focussed on the Alexandra and Eildon area with lots of geocaching stops.

After a wander around the Main Street and a browse in a few shops , we got back to geocaching. Interesting building , nice quick find TFTC

Quick find of GZ but, literally a blind grab and was pleased to have the cache in hand. TFTCache.

As a member of TeamOZCAT logged in this cache, I am now logging as an individual predominantly to avoid any mistaken/unnecessary revisitation.
Under groundspeak guidelines, this logging is acceptable as I was indeed at Cache GZ in person in recent times. However, all cache owners have the right to delete logs as they see fit. Usually done to "Armchair loggers" or inappropriate texting.

After taking a months break from looking for caches to create my own, I thought it was about time I get back into it. I was in Alexandria for the day and this one was the perfect cache to get me back into the swing of things.
Awesome spot and perfectly executed, I took the TB and left a few extra swaps behind.

Finally got to have a couple of days off so I headed up to Moleswoth for a few days of R&R and caching of course.
Last day before heading home so after beating the morning rain it was off to find a few caches around Yea and Alexandra.
I arrived at Alexandra and was trying to find some of the caches that I didn’t have time to find
during the Mega.
The old DSE has gone by a few names and some not so nice.
Great to find such a large cache in an urban environment.
Left a TB as well.

My stroll around the towne today took me past the hospitals,
before taking me past this collection of sheds on me way back to the CBD
Well at least I know what they used to be for.

Nearby, I soon found the golden cache in it's hiding place

Day 6 of our annual caching blitz holiday. Time to settle in and explore the area. This one needed some height. Good size cache container way less frustrating then gadget caches. Tftc

We were greeted with the squawks of a small flock of Sulphur-crested Cockatoos, some looking for or protecting nest hollows. Once I followed the coordinates rather than the map I guessed where the cache was, but needed the Walking Ladder to confirm my hunch. I then weeded the oak sapling growing out of a gum’s hollow before moving away.

I was on my way to a camping and Fishing function organised through work for a few days and on the way I stopped for a few caches to break up the trip. I parked a short distance away in the shade before looking for this one. The GPSr was sending me in all sort of directions before after I looked around saw a likely spot and made the find.

Found this cache after pacenoting for the Akademos Rally, round 6 of the Victorian Rally Championships. The event was based out of Alexandra so I figured i might as well grab some caches while in the area.
Love finding decent sized, well built, waterproof caches like this one!

Picked up while in the beautiful area. We planned to hit this series after spending the night at at caravan park on our way up to Mt Buller getaway .

Seymore to Alexandra.
We had met up with pprass at Seymore at our overnight camp. Today he continued north while we headed to Alexandra. We were not able to make it to the Mega in November but had heard somme good stories from here.
It was now out time to experience the area.
Today we had time only to do a few caches close to the showgrounds.

Out doing some geocaching this morning while staying at the showground.

I used my height to advantage to retrieve the container and did the paperwork. Visited some trackables. TFTC Maximus1978 & JoJoBeenie

As we were still in the area after attending the Mega event, we decided to add some more happy smiley faces to our caching map around Alexandra. With it being very hot today, we did not do as many as we would have liked.
There was no problem locating this cache and all was found to be in great condition. Thanks go to Maximus1978 & JoJoBeenie for adding to our caching experience.

Back in the Scooby doo geovehicle, Kato and I started eliminating the trads in Alexandra. This was a Kato-dash out of the driver's side and she made the quick find then handed it off to the next geocacher who arrived conveniently. TFTC Maximus1978 and JoJoBeenie

Staying at Alexandra after the event, today we tackled few caches within the area and this was one of them.

Cache and contents were in excellent condition. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find.

Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for our enjoyment.

Time for our wonderful Alexandra Mega Adventure to come to an end.. but not without us grabbing a few more caches as we meander our way home!!

Such a wonderful experience with more than 105 finds, and some milestone challenges achieved.

Glad to have grabbed this cache today. TFTC Hunting today with Minniek, darkonas delights, b0tmun, cryp1, Death_Killer, my_name_jeff and lovetherabbitohs (all logged as Team Goulburn or by individual name).

Our third day caching as the GOTHs, Geocachers of the Hills, made up by the following teams, Bushfire, Aussie M & M, mogni, Team Astro, brisal5 and 6hinemoa2. Our aim was to try to clear out caches in various spots and we had a special goal for good friend Lawrie, aka Bushfire, we wanted to bust his record of caches found in one day. This meant a desperate attempt on doing as many caches as we could on Mount Desperation, aiming to hit 200 in a day which is not my best day. So many power trails in SA do that for you. It was all about Lawrie today. Some interesting spots were found, got close to the river, and some amazing views. Thanks for the hides.

We were exhausted after this day and half a night, had dinner at MacDonalds on the Hume Hwy somewhere in Victoria.... Only would do this for Lawrie. Thanks again, all cache owners.

Still have a day of caching after the Alexandra Event - thanks.

Time to head home after attending the Alexandra Mega 2017 but caching on the way out of town was much more important. As one of my geo-kids told me.....it took us over 2hrs to go 15kms! Ended up with 105 for the weekend which got me to double my cache finds from last year....so happy with that result.

Logs signed as either minniek or part of Team Goulburn. Quick find here today.
