It seemed like it was still Christmas. They had just trimmed the windbreak which left a wonderful pine smell in the air, just like a Christmas tree. TFTC.
Dropped off in Motueka with the bike and heading back to Richmond grabbing a few caches on the way. This was the first of the day and quickly grabbed and signed in between cars. Thanks for the cache.
A nice quick find thanks.
Another long weekend, another wee road trip, this time up to Golden Bay area, with Ms_KR. The daylight hours are are certainly getting shorter, but luckily the weather is mostly dry and warm. Today we cruised from Motueka to Nelson.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

On our way to another PWGT cache we noted a blue face so we headed to the spot to turn it upside down. This cache happened to be along the way, Thanks for the nice quick smilie. Cache safe and sound, had to wait out a passing muggle to make the grab. TFTC

My plans were stuffed by a FTF and a wanna be FTF. So now I know that the ftfs are probably all taken I am going to plan C.
I am being taxi Mum for my son and daughter in law for the Heaphy Track and finding a few geocaches. I am driving from Westport to Motueka today. Thanks Sidewaze for creating this hide. It was find 9586 for me.

Yep, Queen Victoria is popular in plenty of places around the colonies of the British Empire. Every time I drive down here I'm reminded of a kid from school going too fast on his motorbike and smashing into one of these ... actually it was the one a few hundred metres down the road towards Mot. The force of the impact gave us a power cut that night. Anyway that's a bit morbid but it was nice to find this cache and that will give me another memory. Thanks Sidewaze.
Thanks for putting out this cache for woolwood9 and I to find!
SL **tm/ww NZ** (may just be a black smudge on the many wet or plastic logs)
*Soon located, plenty more light rain today*
Another good quick stop!

D1 will be a quick find I thought, indeed I knew where it will be when I approached and parked, only one possible hiding space, but.... so many cars passing!!!
I pretended doing a phone call, got the cache in a moment of calm traffic, signed and had to wait again for a looooong time before I could replace. When there was a break in traffic, there were cyclists on the other street.

I disabled my caches during Level 4 lockdown to encourage everyone to do the right thing. Now we’re moving to Level 3 I’m going to leave the decision to search for a cache or not to each individual. Remember you still need to stay in your bubble and a bit of hand sanitiser before and after handling a cache would be appropriate. Keep yourself and others safe.

Trying to get back into it working my way up the Moutere getting a few cheers for the cache
After a morning in the garden it was time to stretch the legs and get some steps in with SJT_NZ, some caches he'd found already so quick finds for me and others were a new walking track with great views of the autumn colours and Tasman Bay. Thanks Sidewaze for these local caches.
Mean to do this when driving past with Visitors but gets left on the To do list. Today was the day. TFTC
On a road trip south, enjoying the day and pic up some caches. TFTC

After sorting out our newborn lambs, we ducked into Mot to pick up some treats for the ewes. As we were sort of passing this one we stopped and grabbed it. A nice quick find. tftc
Woop, another cache for the day. Parked in a nearby driveway whilst I made the find and whaddyaknow, a truck came along and I had to move to let it in. T F T C Sidewaze.
Last day of the month and only the 5th day I've been out for a cache find, or more, so time to get some in before I have my Geo-licence revoked! And there are some more souvenirs being thrown around willy. And Nilly. So I'm up for a few finds and yet another trip over the hill. Thanks say the fuel companies, but that's my hobby. Targetted the area of Motueka and the back roads in and around Moutere but my planned 50 caches in a day was thwarted by mrs capperz's intolerance of too many p n gs so it was called off in the late teen-numbers and crept over the line for 20 in the day.
First up here for an explore along the causeway, and side roads, that I've sped past too many times but which were deserving of more attention today. Some nice finds out this way and some good old winter scenery to help the cause.

Significant amount of traffic but quick find, thanks sidewaze.
Drifting around this lovely countryside with the great autumn colours; enjoying my last few days in Nelson (this time).

Nine days to do some caching for the price of four leave days - who could complain about that! I found a quirky place to stay near Motueka, and decided to base myself there to cache in the wider area. I had a few on my hit list, and ended up finding a great variety of different caches on the trip.
Last day, heading home! Nice to wrap up with a few more finds. TFTC!!

A quick find after having been in Harakeke on business.
All in good order. Signed log and replaced as found. Thanks for the cache Sizewaze.

Twenty-sixth find of the day with NZDi. It is Easter weekend and we have decided to take a break. Today we travelled to Motueka in preparation for a day trip on the Abel Tasman track. Tomorrow we get picked up from Marahau by shuttle and taken to Kaiteriteri, from there it is on a water taxi to Anchorage and we then make ourway back to Marahau, picking up caches along the way. And finally on Sunday we will head back home dropping in at the Mapua Easter Fair on the way.
Today wasn't supposed to be a big caching day, but some bright spark at GCHQ dreamt up the Planetary Pursuit which put paid to that. Fortunately, I have almost 100 solved but unfound puzzles, multis and challenges in the greater Nelson area, so it is time to put them to work.
This cache was not one of the solved puzzles so it was not worth the full 15 points for the Planetary Pursuit. However every little bit counts towards the end game and this added another five points to the tally. A QEF PnG at GZ.
Oh... I would have thought the most popular street name throughout the commonwealth would be High Street, or perhaps just plain Queen Street.

Messed up date recorded on log due to faulty watch date. Duh. Nice easy cache find. Thanks Sidewaze
Another fun packed geotrip exploring Nelson with The Seagnoid, Toby and Zara. So lets go! Its drizzling today so raincoats and gumboots are the order of the day.
With shopping and lunch over, its still wet from above. So lets go visiting at Motueka - taking the long way - with a few stops of course!!
Another quick snag and tag here. Cheers

I'm working on my calendar project, getting my finds up to five per day. I need to find a cache both Saturday and Sunday, and want to save the local caches for weekday requirements, so... geotrip! Taybeedragon and I arrived Friday night. Today it's raining. It rained all day. Non stop. Mostly just drizzling, so we went caching anyway. I got what I was mostly after and after lunch we abandoned geocaching and headed to Motueka to see my dad. And cache along the way, of course!
Naming this after Queen Victoria is not what gets me. As the cache description says, everything, even pets were named after HRH. No, what gets me is calling this a street. Road? Yes. Street? Not so sure.

Stopped off here for the P'N'G on my way into Mot for a refreshment break before heading back over the "Hill"to GB. TFTC
After picking raspberries in the area, we stopped for a few caches on this very hot summers day. Easy find. TFTC
For today I decided to locate and sign a few caches in the Motueka/Moutere and their environs. I had a nice drive around especially on the rough Tasman View Rd. Great views from this road.
Cheers for the cache.

We had been in Motueka for a funeral, so we just wanted a nice and easy PnG on the way back to work, this was it. Thanks Sidewaze
I'd just finished a first course of Motueka Soup (https://coord.info/GC217W5), which took some consuming and now really wanted something light on the pallette for the main.
This looked a good choice and proved to be so; more in the nouvelle cuisine style but much appreciated.
I'm now off to try some MicroCarpa for dessert. Hope I don't regret that choice.

This cache wasn't far from where I lived ,paddle chick had the cache before I had got out of the car.Tftc Sidewaze
Saw the cache as I got out of the car so told Nanzie to stay where she was and passed it to her sign. As I put my seatbelt I made some comment to which she replied she'd only signed for herself so I sent her back put mine in well.

We had a later start to the caching day because of rain so the caches near Marahau have been left for another day. This made the first of the 2 Sidewaze caches we found today on our way home. Interesting theory - but Mrs Sobad pondered and wondered if in fact the number of High St is higher than the number of Queen Victoria St. Pondering took longer than the cache find.
Thanks.
Thanks.
After a trip to the dump, I brightened my day up by breaking my longest ever slump at 37 days. Just not the time lately to travel too far so I'm grateful for a few new caches close by.
Road not too busy today so a quick find and sign without being seen and drove away remembering all the 'Victoria' places I've seen up here and in Christchurch.
TFTC!

Fine weather and free time so is chance to get ourselves out geocaching again! A quick stop and dash to grab between traffic and the same to return to possie and our caching is under way for today. TFTC
Another dot day and a fine day so time for a few local caches - first for the day and quickly nabbed in between traffic - thanks for the cache
Heading back towards Motueka from Marahau I remembered this cache had been recently published so a very short detour from our normal route soon had us signing this log.
Thank you Sidewaze.
Thank you Sidewaze.
This cache hadn't been included on the small list we compiled for a lazy Sunday afternoon's caching. It was Holymu's memory that had us make a short detour while on our way home back from Marahau and Kaiteri. It was our last find for the day. Thank you Sidewaze
Did a detour around the block on our way home to get this one. Thanks Sidewaze.
A quiet afternoon at work so I went for a drive to find a few caches. No problems here. Cache found in the first place I looked. TFTC, Biggles.
Yay another ftf. Found on a nice morning drive with not many muggles about. Surprised to see a blank log at 10.20am
Wee outing with Mr.KE
Pull up about where that car is.....
KE quickly recognised the vehicle, and Buller Trout hopped back out.
Quick chat....we could not persuade BT to come on to the next cache......he already had found 10 today.
Quick sign and we parted ways.
Thanks a lot for the cache.

As I was playing navigator for the Bum this morning it was good to see a car at gz as a reference point of where to stop. Turned out it was bullertrout who had not long returned the cache to it's hiding spot. A quick chat with him and a discussion as to whether he was heading on to the next new one. He decided not to so off we went. The Queen was not amused with that choice! TFTC Sidewaze.
This cache was published in perfect time to make the decision to head over here for a Sunday afternoon drive. I always used to think Queen Victoria looked a formidable woman in these photos and statues but changed my mind after watching the recent series about her when she was younger. TFTC # 10,725
