Out with the geo dog Southridge Laird of Kinlochaline (Lochie) while Mrs Macfam is at the nearby garden centre. Struggled initially, but previous logs gave me a clue I needed to know what to look for. Very clever hide. TFTC. This was our 301 find.
Second of the day. Lots of FP indicate nice caches and I wasn't disappointed! Nicely crafted but seems I can rely on my cacher instinct. Found quickly here and happily adding a well deserved FP.__________________This weekend we didn't manage to go out for a long walk as family because we had so much on. Monday mornings are usually daddy and Miss 4 year old swimming classes while Mama Fox does the necessary admin work and said admin work is PILING up. Laundry, dishes, letters, writing blog, wanting to do some canning and much more. But hey ho I wouldn't be able to do it all anyway so I decided for dad to drop me off somewhere so I can walk back home to then do my tasks. Drop off worked, caching was fun but nothing else got done Carpe Diem! And thanks for placing and maintaining all these caches to allow me to neglect the boring thing called life
First chance here while some plants were perused u dashed off for a cheeky trio, and some parhsude blackberries, ripe early this year. Clever hide here, hence the glut of FPs, another from me! Cheers tmann421Today is mrs capperz birthday, and a day off was planned with an outing somewhere South. Not keen for too long a trip in the car we set the destination as Todd-land(Waikanae) and picked up some W beaches along the way;Waitarere, Waikawa, and Waikanae itself following lunch. No real caching plans, just some opportunistic ones if possible (it was).We called in at some garden centres on way back and taki too and a nice day out it was too! Thanks to the COs for their cache hides.
#5 for today. Searched around at gz and saw something suspicious so twiddled with that and out came the cache. TFTC, SL
Yes, the cache top had not been put on the container. However the container and dry logsheet were in place as usual.
Is this it? Same as Kha0x, so I didn't add my foto. I should have got it when KR did in 2021. Grr!
sad to say I didn't find this one. Found a very cache like lid thrown away nearby but no sign of cache.
Nice to see a decent sized container for a cache. I think of geocaching as a family-friendly activity, so I put trinkets in my hides, even if they are hours out in the bush. So a favourite here, to join the mass of other faves.
I heading to an event to celebrate The Return of the Tmann with TaybeeNZ, but we are a couple of hours early, so filling in time with a bit of geocaching. This month's souvenir challenge is about gathering a bunch of points and I figured I would not make the total do to a lack of geocaching time between now and the end of the month, so we targeted high favourite caches, figuring that would help. I logged each find immediately with a temp log, to help me track how the points are going. As it is we ended up blowing past the target just with today's work, and there is still two thirds of a month left!
Log signed as TATS - TaybeeNZ and the Seagnoid

I travelled south today with haydn.seek primarily to attend the Kapiti Geocachers Return of the tmann421 Event, but naturally we fitted in as much other caching as possible - mostly ones along the Expressway Cycling/Walking trail.
We had a very successful day - it was lovely Spring weather and we achieved all the finds we wanted.
I searched for this cache for a while without success, then I happened to touch something that moved a little - aha! What a cunning hide! Gets a fav. TFTC tmann421

Having been up in Wanganui for the weekend (as I often am) I had missed out on the mad rush of the many first to finders after the local event here on Saturday. However, as my Sunday got off to an early start, and the weather was acceptable, I spent my afternoon driving and walking my way down the pathways here to collect all these newly published geocaches. Lots of good hides, and a fun afternoon finding them all. I also collected some of the older caches like this one along the way.

Thanks to tmann421 for placing and maintaining this cache. I enjoy each and every cache I find, and it is only with CO's like this creating them and placing them out in the world that this wonderful game continues.
[DGSc-Bulk] tagging to help me generate a list for GC30AD8 - DGSc Challenge.

A quick easy find of a really nicely camouflaged cache, which gets a favourite from us. TFTC

A nice touch of camo that would easily fool a non cacher.
Didnt fool me for long, thanks for the great hide!

A tricky little cache to start off the walk from Peka Peka to Waikanae, really setting you up for what's to come on the next few caches tmann has placed along this walk. Had the upper hand for this one, being with my parents who had already found the cache previously, and I imagine it would have taken me a lottttt longer to find had they not have been there to nudge me in the right direction! TFTC
A nice straightforward find here thanks. The log book has been signed and the cache is nicely back in its place all ready for the next geo-hunter. Thanks heaps for taking the time to set up this cache. I really appreciate your efforts in doing so TFTC
Out this evening to grab a few of Tmann's park n' grab style caches as I have limited mobility due to a bone in my leg..... Honest you can see it in the x-ray.
Second cache of the evening and not quite so straight forward. Quite simple but oh so sneaky. A Tmann classic!

Found at last! Tried a few times previously. Looked again with Spate and t that made the difference. TFTC
Very cool! We wandered along the trail after coffee at Harrisons. All good at GZ and TFTC. Gets a favorite from me.
Fluked this - great hide Out on a ride today along the cycle route. Thanks for the cache.
Took a bit to figure out until we realised the number of FPs and then a quick find ensued.
FP from us for great hide.

On a trip away with my sister, Mum & Dad and of course there’s no trip away without lots of Geocaching involved! We spent today biking along here then tomorrow we are off to the Zoo! Thanks for all the caches along here tmann421
Fav point for this one!

After my DNF here last week, I swapped a hint with a previous finder. Returned here today with a much tighter idea of where to look, and soon had the cache in hand. All good, and I can understand why I missed this last time (although I still kick myself...) Good to turn blue to yellow! Tftc!
and I found this one nice and quickly, but only thanks to having struggled for ages with a similar tmann cache once before. Cool hide, thanks! KTG
Such an awesome hide. Had one like this before from Tmann421. Really struggled on that one. This time it was easier. Lol. KTG found it within minutes. Very well hidden. Def a favorite from me. TFTC
Hunted for about 10 min for this one, but couldn't spot. Got a stare from a passing road-crew, decided that discretion ruled the day. Will watch and return.
I've only ever seen this cache hide done a couple of other times, which was in Auckland by G2. I noticed this one right away as I was leaning my bike down nearby, but that certainly doesn't detract from the coolness of the cache. This may be called the Peka Peka Start, but today this is more like the end for me, as I need to head back. Thoroughly enjoyed all your caches along the trail I've found this afternoon, have a FP, cheers
My back was a bit niggly before I started biking these caches. By the end it was fine. Yay. A nice quick find thanks. And a good cache for a fave point too.
Ms_KR and I are off on a wee tour of the North Island. A travel day from Palmerston North to Petone today. The weather was good for caching and biking, not too hot, cold, windy or wet.
Thanks to all CO's for publishing and maintaining their caches. Cheers.

Third visit and finally found! Very clever hide. Coordinates as usual were exact, we just didn't spot the obvious the 2 previous times. If you're older the stones are hard on your knees. Thanks so much for the cache!
Wohooo! That’s me done (apart from 1 dnf and bamboo tennis being busy). Many thanks Tmann for all your mahi in putting this trail together and maintaining. Very cool adventure! Now to pump the tyre up again and to head all the way back- thankfully a small tail wind! Loved this!!
Great hide for the kiddies. FP from us.
We saw it quickly but thought surely not, so after a bit of searching gave it a closer look and woohoo had cache in hand. Thank you for placing.

Headed down to Waikanae for some caches. Quick detour here to walk part of this track. Some great hides. Happy to have spotted this one. Will add a favourite. Thanks for the smiley.
#1687. Let’s celebrate the release from COVID Alert Level 3, to Delta Alert Level 2 by going on a cache-hunt up to the Kapiti coast. GB Leader and I decided to spend a couple of nights at Paraparaumu Beach, and find a few 10+ FP hides towards the next Peak, Vinson, in the Reach the Peak saga.
Another good hide, clever, but GB Leader spotted if. I had a DNF on this way back on 13/12/17, so nice to turn it into a smiley.
This was find #6 for the day, and the Vinson Peak has been reached.
Tftc tmann421.
Postscript 11/9/21: The morning following this find, I realised I had left my caching satchel containing lots of geo-gear and TOTT's plus 4 or 5 trackables at GZ. So headed the 15km back to see if it was still there, and happily it was. Heavy overnight rain had soaked it but it was still lying where I had left it. Oh boy!

DNFed this back in 2017.
Today I took the opportunity while doing some other caching in the area to have another go at this one and though I had the right general idea I tried several options before hitting on the correct one.

Believe it or not today is my birthday. I was working only a half day as I was due to head down to Waikanae and Wellington to meet up with friends later, but was both excited and dismayed to get notification of 3 new caches published this morning. Excited for the obvious reason, and dismayed at the thought of being stuck here at work whilst someone else beat me to the potential FTF.
So having just found the 3rd of them, I was in a buoyant mood as I walked back toward my car and decided to see if I could find the other few caches dotted along this stretch of the Expressway.
I had looked for this cache once before, a while back, without luck. But then it was twilight and my torch didn't help much. TodayI was able to locate it after only a few minutes searching. Great camo, worthy of a FP from me. No issues with the container or log, so once signed the whole thing was replaced back exactly as found
Thanks for the nicely done cache

Out on a weekend caching trip with Buttels with the aim of picking up the SHIELD and 20/20 series and mostly solved puzzles along the way. Took a few searches of the area to find this well blended cache. FP awarded. Thanks for the cache
Nearly had me beat. Then I spotted a possible location. I should have guessed earlier as it is very similar to one of my own Bronzed in O' Bay GC1KH2Z. TFTC
Long bike ride to get to this cache, saw a pheasant on the way, very clever hide, adding a favourite point, TFTC
I came up the coast today to boost my numbers for September.
After picking up the cache at the start of the trail some time ago, and getting several in between, it makes sense to stop by and grab this one at the other end. Parked up and wandered over, looking in the usual spots without finding anything. Referred back to the description, hmm it's a bit bigger than I thought. A little more hunting and yes! There it is. Really blends in well. Signed and replaced. All good here. TFTC

A last minute decision by Mr Rattll to go to Waikanae meant Mrs Rattll was offered the opportunity to be dropped off somewhere for a bit of caching, so despite a marginal weather forecast, this trail was targeted and I was dropped off to start my walk at this cache.
It took a few moments of trying to look casual as muggles whizzed by before the well hidden cache revealed itself.
What a great start to the day.
Thanks tmann421

Ah yes very nicely done.
We had been here for a look once before without success. Today I was passing by and decided to have another go and came up with the goods almost straight away.
A FP for fooling me once.

This was my turn around point of an enjoyable walk. It wasn't a quick find but, once I had a think about some information that had been provided, I soon had it sorted.
This was as far as I got today. And yet again, the master takes it to another level. Simple, Devious, Effective. TFTC and have a well deserved FP.
Thanks for the cache... the boys loved this one as we started our journey south. Feel sorry for the travellers heading north on Good Friday.... very busy. Nice camo... giving you a Favourite!!
We looked for this cache on a previous lvisit but were thwarted in our searching. This time we rode up from Paekakariki, had a strong cup of coffee at Harrisons and found it easily. TFTC
Up to see some friends that live nearby and had to take the opportunity to grab a cache or two. This one gets a fav point, well done CO.
For a long time we have wanted to get some smiley faces along this bike trail and these few days off in the camper were the very excuse we needed to do them. The ride was very enjoyable and very easy with just a little breeze. It was great to see such an array of different hides and to see some of the country side from a different angle. All hides appeared to be in good condition and the co ords were usually spot on
Many thanks for bringing us to this area

Setting off on a geocaching bike ride along the cycleway to Waikanae estuary. A beautiful day for it. This one took a while, but once found I admired the craftsmanship. A favourite and for the series, thanks tmann421.
One of ten caches located this afternoon, almost all whilst biking the trail beside the expressway. Lovely summery afternoon, great to be enjoying the outdoors. Didn’t take long to find. Nifty hide! #2051. TFTC.
Love it! Ones like this are great. Very clever. Well worth the walk in the rain.
between cars I managed to make the find, but I could not for the life of me get the lid off hubby managed too but its really going to become a struggle for anyone else who tries to open it, gets a fav from us as on the container
Very good cache, walked straight past it to start off with but Marcusday found it in the end.

The GPS on my phone was all over the place and it was freezing cold... we will be back!
Find #2834. A marathon day on the bike, 56kms from Paremata and back, using the train for a couple of sections. Perfect weather, great day for cycling and caching. Almost didn't find this one (and should have spotted it far sooner!) cos' a cyclist chose that moment and that spot to stop for a banana. I gave up and headed south but then looked back to see he was finished and on the move. So turned around and spotted it almost immediately. I found the gps was out by about 8m, and so it was for the rest of the day.
Nice hide, deserving a favourite point for this and the trail. SL TFTC

The usual, 'how come?' moment as I rode up and spotted the cache right there and then. Ain't that the way.
Found during a very pleasant Sunday afternoon cycle on the EWY cycle/walk/ride path. My first use of this great new route.
Straightforward find (this time!), cache in order. Log signed, cache safely re-hidden, just as found.
TFTC I visited here with team cacher zboy wonder.

Had been before and not found it. Today, found it straight away. Must have had a real man-look last time... TFTC
Spent a little time searching when breaks in traffic allowed. Looked at clue to speed it up. Great help that was. Sat and thought about it then ah ha. Found. Love these types of hides. SL TFTC
Parked up at the end of Smithfield Road. 3 weeks ago I headed south-west. Today I walked north-east to grab a few more of the cycle trail caches. Some were quick finds and some took a little longer. One of the trickier ones (for me anyway) but got there in the end. Thanks for the cache. And able to claim 2460m towards the DGSc distance challenge.
A really enjoyable cycle ride with the EU Crew and drawp allowed us to collect a few caches en route. TFTC
Had been here before so knew how to find this cache. Thought I’d stop on my way home to log this myself
Loved it! What a great cache. What 15 squared cruciverbalists call a tea-tray.
Thanks.
Thanks.
Note LrenNZ's log of same date. Wonder what it is we overlooked?
