Great hide didnt have a pencil so could not write in the log. Left an SA rock in the container
Well commoed cache, but straight forward find, nice size too.Nice wander in along a clear track, no chance of stepping on a snake without seeing it first, but none were spotted which makes us happy. We stayed in Edithburgh in a pet friendly house that even had a lemon tree which would have been handy if we had actually caught any fish, lets just say the lemons stayed on the tree!!!!Thanks McKee Clan for the cache, found it, signed the log and replaced safe and sound as found.
Great hide. Found with the jams crew on a Yorkes adventure. I grabbed a path tag that was inside. TFTC
Nice cammo on this one and nice container.

JJ52 and Allister W were target some certain cache types for the hard sounvier online bage. After Finishing the fishing line geoart we cached along the coast to Edithburgh and still only got to Edithburgh for dinner. Saturday was a cooler day for power trailing and only 1 snake was sighted, sunday started off cold but soon turned in to nice caching weather. We stopped for lunch in Stansbury on the way home.

Wow, what an amazing cache. I was expecting that rock to be a lot heavier. This is what geocaching is all about. Thanks for the great effort that went into making this. TFTC
We are having a short break nearby and went out between rain squalls for a beach walk and a spot of caching.
Very impressed with the cache host!

The three of us were spending some time on Yorke Peninsula, and today Mr Tardis went out for a caching run in the southern half. I did a section of the Gone Fishing trail, and found lots of old and new caches on the way there and back.
I'm happy to report that I found this cache in the first place I looked - don't you just love it when that happens?
Definitely a favourite point for the creative hide and a great sized cache.
Signed the log. Thanks for the cache McKee Clan.

A quick stop here today, cache is all good
A big trip away to the yorke peninsula planned for the weekend travelling around touristing and have a look at sights I’ve seen before, plus camping over the 4 days wherever we needed up at the end of the day. Plus why not find 116 caches along the way for the trip. Despite the wind on the first evening the rest of the trip we were delighted by the beautiful weather.

Last day on the Yorke and Owl had a mission in mind. With that over they headed down the coast, admiring the views as they went. At this point Eagle wanted to get some drone shots, which gave Owl plenty of time to find this cache. Spotted it readily enough but took a while to find the correct way in.
Today is earthlight's birthday and her twin Gwen's too of course
earthlight wanted to come to YP to do some cache maintenance[^][^] and so Rex and I picked her up (late) at about 7.50am and returned her home at 8pm[|)], which was only a tad after tea time
We had a warm day with blustery winds and then rain, rain and rain all the way home
We even scored a FTF too along with my total of 24 cache finds for the day[^]
Talk about a weird day though[xx(][xx(] My GPSr had a hissy fit after the 4th cache and suddenly I had NO geocaches in my GPSr other than my previous finds I also could not use my phone and so I had to rely on earthlight[:X] telling me where geocaches were and then giving me GC codes so that I could list what I had found[:X][^]
From YP, we drove to Moonta to do the adv lab there[^] and completed that[^] then hit the wet roads to home[|)][^]
Rex was so tired[|)][xx(][|)] that the marrow bone I bought him in Moonta did not get touched[?][|)][|)] until the next day[|)]
Thanks Liz for a great day out[^] and I hope that your birthday starts a wonderful year for you![^][^]
Cool camo[^] Nice cache too Sad that I missed Edithburgh JLWE but muggle partner attended in my place[^]

This weekend, I headed to the Yorke Peninsula. The goal was to visit Innes National Park for the Saturday to find a few of the oldie geocaches, but also to enjoy a different vicinity for geocaching. I used Edithburgh to base myself for the weekend's activities. On the drive to/from Edithburgh, I visited Ardrossan, Port Vincent, Wool Bay, and Coobowie, and also visited as far south as Sultana Point and Troubridge Point.
Today, I took the long route home back to Adelaide from Edithburgh, but did multiple detours along the way. I initially headed south to Sultana Point, followed by Troubridge Point; Two areas that I hadn't visited in all of my historical Coobowie Yorke Peninsula trips. I then drove north following the coastal route, stopping off in Coobowie, Wool Bay, and Port Vincent. A highlight was visiting the white clay mine just north of Stansbury, and it was a nice walk along the beach to get to.
To begin my day, I made the drive south from Edithburgh to Sultana Point, and drove all the way to the end of this road, parking at the nearby car park. I then made the walk to this GZ, and I managed to find the cache reasonably quickly. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Great camouflage, and it was also nice to have found an ammo can too. Thanks McKee Clan for the cache placement and ongoing maintenance.

I agree. Shame we missed the JLWE. Haven’t seen a hide like this since we started and this certainly is a fine example of great workmanship. Great job McKee clan. Have another favourite point. Many thanks
While hading back home to Adelaide after spending a few days down the bottom of the Yorke Peninsula, I stopped for a few caches.

Spent the weekend travelling Yorke’s, been lucky to find a few and unluckily not to find a few others. That gives us an excuse to return for another round of treasure hunting.

We have returned to visit the area after 5 years and doing some of the new caches. Nice work on the camo. Tftc
It was a great foot race between four of us to find the geocache. Good fun time!
TFTC Thank you for hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity. Loved the camo.
We were so happy to be part of the recipe for this JLWE, the main ingredient that you cannot do without is the people who give so freely of their time to help put the JLWE's together to make them so enjoyable for all of us. SL TFTC
Off down the Yorke for a few days with Purrfect Di, Jack, Sebastbat, muggle Alex and the geodog (cat's staff).

We have a small team travelling to The Yorke Peninsula from Canberra. It was decided by the group before we left that our team name would be DTY, although I act like the boss, I rarely am and so the initials actually stand for - dty73, Tankengine & Youban.
Today was the last day on the Peninsula before we head hone tomorrow. So the team decided that it was a “tourist day” and we would go have a look down the coast a bit. But of course like true geocachers we couldn’t help taking a caching route as we went. We ended up getting a lot more than we expected, but we did have a good time.
Loved this one! Perfect for the area and we had a funny time with it. So favourite point from me for the great work. Tftc McKee Clan!!!

Found with dty73 and youban on our Yorke Peninsula invasion! All logs signed DTY (dty73/Tankengine/youban). - Had a great day today, in that we didn't do any of the power trails! That was a very nice change! So a nice variety and some very nice locations! Thanks! Wow - I really liked this container and camo, so a favourite from me.
As this is a generic log comments relevant to this cache will be placed at the end. On a caching trip with Dty73 & Tankengine to Yorke Peninsula. Team signed as DTY. Thank you all the cache owners who have put so much effort in placing and maintaining these caches. Our last day on the peninsula so we decided that we would explore the area around Edithburgh. The weather had turned chilly and the odd spit of rain came and went. This we like. With such a scenic walk, what’s not to like. Favourite from us. Kutgw
It was a great spot for a June LWE.
I thought I signed this one June Last year... looks like I didn't, did today though.
Another nice work on the hide Mogni.
Grabbed what I thought was one TB, appears I grabbed 4 in the one baggie!
Thanks

After having arrived in Edithburgh this morning on our trip round the Yorke Peninsula we thought we would brave the wind and head out for a look around.
We gave up walking fairly early in the piece and resorted to travelling by car as we pick up a few caches on the way.
Loved the container and it’s camo. Had Mrs Ski fooled, and it was only when she touched it that she realised she was looking at the cache.

The Rats, steeba and Hoojar have teamed up for a York Peninsula adventure of massive proportion. With much planning and logistical coordinating, we had a great five days meandering the country roads collecting a plethora of caches. Our journey started with a handful letterbox caches before heading down the peninsula following the “Gone Fishn” series. We followed this up with an array of geo-art images that litter the lower peninsula. Returning to Adelaide we collected a gaggle of old and rare finds which included some interesting earthcaches and virtuals.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.
My apologises for the generic log, but thanks to all the cache owners and caching buddies who made the road-trip such a memorable and fun experience.
After a review of the geocaching map in South Australia it was determined a trip to the Yorke Peninsula would yield some significant numbers. So, The Rats, Hoojar and I teamed up once agan to tackle the many caches on the peninsula.
We started in the darkness after flying into Adelaide and the next day set some personal records (550+ caches in a day) and milestones before bunking down. The next day was another massive numbers haul which resulted in a bit over 1,000 caches in two days !
Then it was a little more sedate down to the bottom of the peninsula and then back up the easterly side, ticking off a few EarthCaches in the process .
After that, back to Adelaide for some night caching, virtuals and more EarthCaches!
The power trails on the peninsula were great- quiet roads, some great green wheat and yellow canola scenery, coupled with some great company and usual ribbing of each other [^]!
Thanks for your cache- sorry about the generic log. For the EarthCaches and virtuals look out for an email or two shortly.

This was a trip that had been some time in the making. A journey from Wollongong in New South Wales to the Yorke Peninsula in South Australia, in search of large numbers. Five days were set aside, and The Rats, Steeba, and myself planned the details out. Lofty numbers were floated; we could find one thousand geocahces... Maybe more! The world was our oyster, all we had to do was make it happen.
We flew into Adelaide and quickly rented our car, then headed off for a series of thirty letterbox caches late that night. We then set up camp, ready for the next few days.
Two days journeying down the Yorke Peninsular saw us collect 550 caches the first day, and 450 the next. One thousand caches in two days! The numbers were phenomenal, unheard of, and excellent! At one stage we found fifty caches in a one hour period! We worked ourselves into a solid routine, and managed to push these numbers without caching after dark. Incredible! We camped out beside the trail, ready to commence again the following morning.
Having reached our goal of one thousand, we rented a cabin and enjoyed a solid relax and beet, and we were then able to dedicate the remaining time to specific caches, mostly Earthcaches to keep Steeba (The Professor) happy, and a good number of Vrtuals as well, as we made our way back from the end of the Yorke Peninsular to Adelaide. It really became a Tour De Earthcache! If your geocache is such a hide, stand-by, as Steeba will soon contact you with our answers.
As is always the case with these trips, the company was the highlight, with banter non stop, the time went by in an instant.
We saw some amazing things, found some excellent caches, and had an absolute blast.
Ticking just over 1300 finds for the trip, you will have to excuse the boilerplate logs!
Thanks to all of the cache hiders for their efforts in placing and maintaining their hides. It was fantastic exploring this part of the world that I had never visited before. Thanks also to my geocaching partners, without whom such a trip would not be possible, nor fun!
Cheers

Catching up on some very late logs.
After an exhausting but successful three days doing the fishing line series here we separated with the plan of meeting up again tonight at Port Wakefield and we were travelling with Micaparamedic.
After collecting the information for the nearby earth cache we continued on our way to this one and were very happy that we did. We were rewarded with some magnificent views and after a short search the great sized cache was found and our name was added to the log.
The cache was replaced and we headed along the dunes to find the next one, it doesn't get much better than this.
Thanks McKee Clan for the cache.
