Unfortunately, there's been no response from the CO to my NM log dated 22/11/19.
The cache is behind a locked construction fence with a warning sign on it. Anyone determined to find this cache has to clamber around the outside edge of the fence. The image in the gallery dated 28/1/19 shows the situation.
I'm bringing this one to the attention of a Reviewer so that they can determine what the future holds for this cache.

I decided I wasn't going to try and get past the security construction fencing so this one is not a DNF as such. This cache really does need to be moved. I note there's been a NM log on this cache that hasn't been responded to by the CO. I'll post another NM log and hopefully it will elicit a response.
This cache needs to be relocated due to the presence of the security construction fencing.

My mum wouldn’t let me break the law and go past the security fence for this one
Out caching with oldmorty before lunch.
Oldmorty had found this cache a while ago (before the fencing appeared).
I was not brave enough to swing around the end of the fencing to the other side.

For a 1.5 D 1.5 T you shouldn't have to break the law to cross a security fence to get a cache.
TFTC,
After a morning drive in the 1950 Riley for the club brunch run to Pie in the Sky north of Cowan, there was a chance to use the afternoon to cache the 3 Council areas on the North side of the Harbour that we have not visited.
We managed 7 finds from 10 attempts and now only need to visit 4 Council areas in the North West of the State to complete every area.
This is a cache I wanted to complete out of respect for in memory of Equipe des fous. I think the CO needs to relocate this cache. No way I will go through the security fence with so many people watching. This fence has been put in place for a reason.

First time visiting Woolwich. Lovely view of the bridge and the city from here. Fences are not going to stop us finding cache. TFTC
Had a lovely walk around Woolwich today. Nice to see that this boat yard is open to the public. Well, except for the fenced off area where the cache is. Looks like some work is going to be done here. The fence didn't do a good job of keeping us away though and the cache was found after a little bit of searching.
Thanks!
Thanks!
Once I got round the security fence it was a quick dash to GZ for an easy find and then out of there.

Today we took a “harbour cruise” over to Woolwich, taking advantage of the cheap Sunday $2.70 per head capped Opal Card fares, to visit the little peninsula and take a look at the handful of caches located thereon. Utilised Bus/Train/Ferry on the way over, and Ferry/Ferry/Bus for the return journey back to home. This was the 1st of 3 finds, and 2 DNF’s, for the day.
Hopped off the T8 Ferry at Woolwich Wharf, then followed The Point Road & Gale Street around to The Goat Paddock Reserve. Followed the winding pathway down to the water and to where the cache was located.
A security chain wire fence currently blocks access to GZ, but that wasn’t going to stop us getting a smiley, and so we risked a dip in the harbour with some slightly higher Terrain manoeuvres and soon found ourselves standing at GZ. Checked in a few spots before uncovering the hide and having CIH. TNLNSL, and then replaced as found. TFTC rinsemesocks.

Went for a run this arvo from Wollstonecraft and wanted to check off this cache and GC4QX6Y so I took the Ferry from Greenwich and picked this one up and ran back to Crow's nest the long way.
There was a fence around GZ but on a Sunday Arvo I don't think anyone was going to be bothered if I snuck in for a quick looky see. Second place I looked I found it. Signed and returned. RIP EdF - I'm still working through your retched puzzles TFTC

The area that the cache was meant to be is now fenced off.
Great view and we got to see Wild oats.

After scooting around the fence i got to the GZ and after searching a couple of likely spots soon had the CIH.
The Sydney to Hobart winning yacht Wild Oats XI was moored right across from the cache.
Thanks.

Wow, Rinsemesocks, this place is a gem with stunning views, brilliant location, cheers
Ignoring the sign, I quickly found the cache just as a large yacht was leaving the dock. It’s a stunning spot.
I was shocked to learn who this cache is dedicated to. I had no idea. I was working with EDF on a couple of mystery caches only last year. RIP.
Thanks rinsemesocks, a favourite from me.

Thanks rinsemesocks for another find. Looks like I am the first to sign a new log. Had to look everywhere before it revealed itself.
Nice to see Wild Oats moored nearby,

Back home after eight weeks OS, out to grab a few new cache which have appeared in my absence. Caught an early morning ferry form Balmain to Woolwich and after a short walk identified the GZ and soon had CIH. Cache was easily found, but I must have dropped my pen on the journey and ahh accidently ripped the current log sheet (my apologies) I guess thats proof I was there!! TFTC RMS #558
Great view of the Sydney-Hobart yachts. Being a tourist, this was an experience

Certainly is in the fenced off area. Didn't stop us in any case we managed to slide round and came up with the goods. Tftc
Once we arrived at GZ we thought mmm now what. So had to think of a way in but nothing was going to stop us so with a bit of stealth we were able to make a quick find.

Out for a walk in the Hunters Hill - Woolwich area, Ms Atalanta and I had a light lunch at the nearby cafe, then searched for this cache. An easy find in a very pretty spot. TFTC
TFTC Thank you for going to the effort of hiding this cache. You have shown us a new place and have helped make geocaching an enjoyable activity.

On the way back from the airport to home I took a detour for some caches in this beautiful area of Sydney.
An easy find at a beautiful spot with wide views over the water.
Thanks for the cache.

Oh my! We were in Hunters Hill following the Postmaster's trail and thought we'd head out here to the far reaches of the peninsula. Reading through the cache notes, we pulled up short reading about Equipe des Fous. We met EdF at our first geocaching event which we attended with our geocaching mentor, Hunter-Finder. It was in September 2009. We admired EdF's iPad and went on to start caching with one too. Over the years we would cross paths at different events and he was always so nice to talk with and had a real thing for puzzle caches. We really enjoyed his All Puzzled Up series and many more. H-F passed on a few years ago and we're betting they're up there now exchanging caching stories.
Thank you so much, RMS, for setting this tribute cache is such a lovely location. A favourite from us. We were here at sunset. Glorious. Vale, Equipe des fous. CIP SL TFTC Cheers... Gaztek

Unfortunately I never crossed paths with EdF, however, reading the previous logs of those who did it seems he was a great chap and will be sorely missed.
The Goat Paddock brought back wonderful childhood memories on my visit. I grew up in Woolwich in the 1940's and passed by this then remnant area of bush twice daily going to and from school. In the afternoon we would jump over the stone wall and look for cigarette packets discarded by the dock workers after their afternoon drink across the road. These were folded in a certain way to resemble a playing card which we would flick against a wall to see who could get closest. I also recalled waiting for ages for the dock to be drained, after a ship had entered to be repaired, to see how many varieties of fish would be left high and dry on the bottom. Oh fun days. Today's winter sun. Want it was the perfect day for Harbour side reflection.
I mis-timed the public transport so had to walk the length of the beautiful peninsula to get to GZ.
Once there I had the general area to myself. A crew was working on maxi yacht Wild Oats XI but they paid me no attention.
Cache was nicely tucked away from prying eyes, I signed and returned it then sat then to enjoy the view.
I met EDF on a few occasions and enjoyed finding his caches- this cache is a fitting memorial. Vale Jonathan

Thank you rinsemesocks for this very fine and special cache. A spot that EdF would have liked a lot. May he rest in peace. I didn't have the chance to know him long, but he'd already become part of my geolife here in Sydney. He will be missed.

I've been chasing down all of EdF's cashes since hearing the sad news. Came here after finding his three at Eveleigh. I've only got one more to go: "All Out of Cash".
Even though it was a beautiful winter's day, there were not many people along the path or across the water from GZ. I did get a wave from a resident on the balcony of a nearby house while I was watching a yacht go through it's manoeuvres with a stunning city backdrop.
Missed the cache on my first inspection but then spotted a hint of it from a few meters away.
Fantastic to have this tribute cache to EdF. There are also a few tributes on a Frenchs Forest cache (current path v2.0 - https://coord.info/GC7794M) if you scroll down through the earliest logs.
Vale Edf

Just the one today.
I was busy when the slew of new caches was published this morning. Drat it! I'm sure *the frog* has cameras checking my every move...
Anyway, early afternoon I needed to run Geoson #3 to Parramatta, so decided to just head down Victoria Road to this cache.
Managed to find parking near the locked gate, so walked around to the entrance proper to the Goat Paddock, and made my way down to GZ - taking in the interesting information boards.
Once there the first problem was the plethora of muggles. They finally thinned and I started the search. I think I'd identified about six spots that the container I was expecting to find could be hidden. And it was literally in the last one. Typical!
Made the grab and completed signing duties, replaced and then walked around the dock - and past the restaurant I had a birthday lunch at a few years ago.
Vale **Equipe des fous**. I met him a number of times at various events and he was always good and erudite company. His *All Puzzled Up* series is a must. I still have two of his caches still to find. Need to get a move on.
Many thanks **rinsemesocks** for this tribute. And a great spot as well. A favourite.

13/7/17. 5:25 PM. Cache #5201.
4th of 4 finds this afternoon - Botany, Moore Park, Point Piper, Woolwich
Last one of the day; came here after getting "Teenage Wasteland" and endured the peak hour traffic on my way here, which is a brief detour on my way home. Starting to get dark now and I wished I'd come here in the daytime instead, to make the most of what must be a lovely view. Not bad at night I guess.
Down the Goat Paddock path and across the dock to GZ. I systematically checked about 4 wrong hiding places first before getting the right one. Thanks for placing this in Edf's memory, I'm sure he would have loved it here. I paused to reflect on that and then headed for home.
Vale Jonathan.

Saved this one for dusk knowing the view that presents itself. Low sun hitting the city of Sydney and the bridge. Also wanted to pay respect in a small way to Equipe des fous who I never met but read previous logs, always unique and now I have a list of his geocaches I will endeavour to find. Bittersweet moment here. TFTC rinsemesocks.
A new cache in the local area, so I read the cache info.
I am so sad to read that Equipe des fous has passed away.
I have really enjoyed his caches and the challenges they set me. When there was a problem, he was always helpful with a clue without actually giving it away.
So when I read that I was determined to find this cache this week. I was also determined to complete his All Puzzled Up Series and find the final cache in honour of Edf. Some serious work on #10 and I was ready to go for both of these caches.
This afternoon I packed geodog into the car, something I know Edf would also do, and we headed over. After some scrambling around I grabbed APU#10, signed the log and visited some TBs without dropping anything into the harbour!
After that we walked around the water's edge to Woolwich Dock. This is always an interesting spot and today Wild Oats XI was in the dock - very impressive.
The cache was then quickly found and the log signed.
We walked back to the geomobile around the water and I ran into someone I went to high school with and have seen for donkeys years, what a coincidence!
My next challenge - to complete 1000 finds within 10km of home, the challenge Edf set himself.
TFTC # 2038
Favourite point awarded to you RMS for the lovely idea behind this cache of honouring Edf.

Not currently in Sydney, but just wanted to leave a note to say how incredibly sad I was to see the dedication to Equipe des fous - a person I'd never met but whose name I strongly associate with Sydney caching.
One of only a few who found all my Sydney caches, and whose logs on those caches I have fond memories of (in particular the adventurous swimming one that I was sent photos of).
I am truly saddened to hear about this, and my heart goes out to family and friends.

I have been keeping an eye on Philma’s ‘Postcards to New Zealand.’ Multi Cache for a while now and, sadly, concerned its time may soon be up. As such, it has quickly bumped up to top spot on my priority list. AlphaDeltaIndigo was also keen to take advantage of the superb weather, so we drove over to Mosman with the target set in our sights. After taking the wrong track, which resulted in a dead end, we eventually discovered a way through and dealt with the overgrowth fairly easily. After we found the cache and took in the views, we made our way back to the car following the easier way out. Is not that always the case! Hopefully this cache can be salvaged before it gets archived, because it is a novel and fun idea that should be preserved. Thanks For The Multi Cache Philma and KiwiGary.
From there, we made our way over to ‘Clifton Gardens’ in Mosman. After, what we felt was, a rather thorough search around the trees that matched the hint, we unfortunately were unable to uncover a cache and had to concede a Did Not Find here today. #DNFpride
Continuing around the Mosman peninsula in search of caches neither of us had yet attempted, I chose ‘HPT1 - No More Diesel!’ to help me increase the number of Regular size finds for my UGC Challenge. At Headland Park, we parked the car at the lot on Georges Head Commonwealth Ave and joined the trailhead behind the residences. An easy find once we were in the right spot and an interesting cache container, which somewhat matches the relic of the past. Thanks For The Cache decentcachers and sydneyexplorer.
While we were there, we thought we may as well stop by ’HPT2 - Up the Steps’, which was a short walk away. It was very much a case of trial and error but persistence paid off, and we soon had the Cache In Hand. Thanks For The Cache decentcachers and sydneyexplorer.
After grabbing a late lunch at the shops in Mosman, we made one final stop before calling it a day, and swung past ’Under the Highway’ in Naremburn for another Regular sized cache. Leaving the car on Park Road, we joined the walking track under the highway and meandered our way towards the published co-ordinates. With limited GPS signal, we relied on our geo-senses for this one, and with some assistance of the hint, made a quick find. Feeling the cache was a little too exposed, we replaced with a piece of cammo over the top to ensure it blended into its surroundings better. Thanks For The Cache EvO1324.
I was not expecting to venture back out for any caches today but the frog started publishing just as peak hour traffic was ramping up. I noticed a new cache over in Woolwich, ’Goat Paddock’, and could not resist, seeing as though it was fairly close by. Traffic was not too bad on the way to the Hunters Hill / Woolwich peninsula and I found a spot to park right near the entrance to the trailhead. Someone was hot on my heels and I was quickly joined by a fellow cacher, one member of the Burkey Turkeys (nice to meet you!). Just as quickly as we had arrived at Ground Zero, we too had the Cache In Hand. We performed the signing duties and confirmed a joint First To Find. While we were chatting and taking in the beautiful views of Woolwich Dock and Sydney Harbour, we were accompanied by bella at waggy, who unfortunately was late to the party this time around. Thanks For The Cache rinsemesocks.
Having attended Equipe des fous’ funeral / thanksgiving service yesterday with bella at waggy, seeing ‘Goat Paddock’ dedicated to our geo-friend is a lovely touch by rinsemesocks. We will certainly miss Equipe des fous and all that he brought to the geocaching game.
