Found at 10:27 AM GAFF1.On our way north now after spending a few weeks down south west. We decided to meander around a bit to pick up a few LGA's along our journey. This earthquake cache looked interesting and we were fascinated by the evidence right there in front of us. Surprisingly we never knew about this incident that could have been devastating to human life! Thanks to WheatbeltScience
Found with Crafty Dusty and the geopooches on our road trip from Sydney around Oz. Cheers!
To think I was here exactly a week ago just across the road from it thanks for this one
Full time nomads since February 2014, back in WA to visit family.
Still tootling around the countryside picking up some smilies after WAGB. Today we moved to York to catch up with friends for dinner. Managed to make some time to head out and add some more to our map before our catch up.

A quick find here. Have had so much fun seeing all the earthquake sights of meckering tftc
Out in the Wheatbelt for a night of camping at Baladjie Rock. Cleaned up a number of caches that I hadn’t grabbed on previous trips, ticked off two new LGAs that I have been through, but never grabbed caches at. Thanks to all the COs that place and maintain caches in this part of the world.
Interesting spot. As the log was full I’ve popped a new one in to keep it going. Cheers WheatbeltScience!

Needs a new log. I would have put some paper in if I hadn’t cleaned my car out before leaving!

Was a bit disappointed with what could be seen here. It looks as though it's on private property and people have trampled down the fence, but there is an information board there!
After a very enjoyable weekend attending BYO Marshmallows V [GC9G5TP](https://coord.info/GC9G5TP) it was time to hit the 'frog & toad' for the journey home picking up the odd smiley here and there of course.
A quick find here in another interesting spot that the WST series has shown me. Awarding a favourite.
WheatbeltScience I found your cache at 11:33am, this was the 4th of 7 finds for me today and brings my total find count to 7109. The cache was in good order and I replaced it as found.

Nothing exciting here. The cache however got me. The camo threw me so I took a few minutes to find it. TFTC
Found this spot to be very interesting thanks to the farmer who had the foresight to preserve this small section of the fault line. Thanks for bringing us here.
On my way back to Perth from Marvel Loch and meckering is our convenient stopping spot. Had a bit of extra time on our hands and came out to visit the preserved fault line and of course a quick bit of caching.
Lovely site and glad I trusted the map in the meckering Rose Gardens rather than google maps telling me this site was on Great Eastern Hwy.
Found after a few minutes of searching. TFTC

How great is it that the farm kept a part of the fault line!! Interesting cache WST!! Have a favourite point!
I remember this fault line as a kid . Out in a beautiful sunny day grabbing some smilies. Thanks for adding this one to my list and bringing me back here. Cache in great condition.
Found it. TFTC WheatbeltScience. Came here about 2 month after the quake. Looks very similar but without the cracks in the ground. When you look from the west, it went across the road and down through the paddock on your left. It was an eerie sight.
My boss borrowed me his car and decided to go to York and Northam. Quick find here, Tftc!
A long overdue road trip to Kalgoorlie for work meant I could pick up a few caches on the way. Headed off from home early to allow time for a few.
Good chance to stretch the legs and a quick find
Many thanks to WheatbeltScience for placing and maintaining WST - Meckering earthquake site. I was here at 9:57 am on Sunday and this is my find 8892.

Thank you! Dad and I headed out on a geocaching day trip to Kellerberrin, Yoting and Quairading. We enjoyed the drive and the locations we found ourselves. We met some people here (not caching!) who were checking out the sign and history. Dad took the opportunity to tell them about his experience of the earthquake, which he had felt from a town a hundred or so kms away, and what he saw when he travelled to Meckering a couple of days later. Happy to make the find here.
Out on an adventure for the week and collecting caches of course. Loved the history and read here, cache found easily and in good condition.. TFTC WheatbeltScience!
A chilly and foggy morning still at 10.30 am. Located the camo and recorded our visit. Thanks Wheatbelt Science.

Found this one today, solved the puzzle months ago but didn't get a chance to collect at that time. Today there was a protector of the cache
We visited this one on our final day camping and caching around the York/Northam area. Sadly, all good things must come to an end though and today we were homeward bound, but of course we had to stop and find a few caches along the way. This one was one we found early in the day, having made a bit of a detour to come and get it, but more than happy to have a smiley out this way. Thanks for placing and maintaining this cache for the rest of us to come and find WheatbeltScience, interesting history and really enjoyed learning a bit more about the earthquake that I remember feeling as a small child, all the way down in Mandurah .
Hi there WheatbeltScience. I was out with Mistraluna for a couple of planned days of Geocaching around the FOTT trail near York. We had both worked out finals for all caches and using the Nuvi and both GPS's, all caches were found quickly - and the containers and logs are in good condition. TN, LN, SL. Thanks to WheatbeltScience for this cache - our find 8314
We dropped by this one on our way from Bruce Rock today. Hard to imagine such a force that could move the ground that much .. very interesting place!
The cache was a quick find and we added our name to the log and replaced as found ... now to get these tired kids home.

Uncle's farm was not far from here when the earthquake hit, fortunately they rocked and rolled but didn't sustain any serious damage. Thanks WST for another interesting cache placement.
Nabbed this one while passing by on the way home from Dowerin Field Days. It's in good condition although a lot closer to the tree than the coordinates were indicating, (on my GPS at least). T4TC.
Some very interesting history, we moved on to the cafe in Meckering & picked up an informative pamphlet on the subject from the very chatty owner. Thanks for bringing us here & TFTC have a favourite
I haven't been out this way, but on my wayt back to home from WA Goes Big, I did quick stop. I was waiting bit more to look. The other earthquake site (house one) is pretty cool. Lovely stop!
Started out this morning by picking up a couple more caches on our way out of Northam with ilook4geo. Then the journey continued a bit further east as the day progressed. Each found log had a couple more signatures added and each cache was put back as it had been found before we moved on. Thank you toWheatbeltScience for adding this cache to the fun of the game.
Left Northam and headed on today, still caching with goingplaces2. Found this cache on our way by. It was an easy find after spotting the cache indicator. All returned to place. TFTC.
Went to Meckering with the SES at the time of the quake so it bought back memories

Very clever hide. Was abit concerned when we saw all the dead trees piled up but thankfully cache was in good condition. TFTC
My work has me driving from Perth to Eucla and back. Never to look a gift horse in the mouth this trip is an opportunity to clean up a few new caches along the Great Eastern Highway, and pick up the ones along the Eyre Highway I missed on my trip back from the Red Centre at Easter.
Driving to Norseman today and just had to deviate to grab another of the WST caches. These are a real asset to the Wheatbelt and a must do if you are passing by.

A late phone call from Barnzy12 to tell me about the new WST caches and do I want to go with them to grab 2 of them. I decided why not and met up at his house with Cravo10 before heading off for the long drive. We got the 2 FTS plus grabbed another cache close by. All caches were found easily by torch light then we did the long drive back home again. TFTC WheatbeltScience

**FTF** with Cravo10 and OOH YEH! 830pm
Headed out to grab two new FTFs near Northam and York from the Wheatbelt science trail to help collect some FTF counties to help the stats.
Alerted Cravo and Mrs OOH YEH to come on a late night caching run so after meeting at my house in Treeby we set out and made good on two FTFs, whilst also grabbing another traditional that was nearby.
Thanks for a good night out

Steve and I had planned out our day for Saturday earlier this evening when another phone call cane through saying, we need to go earlier!
He soon explained and I reluctantly agreed.
Safe to say that we were the only silly 3 to be out there late at night.
The return journey was was spent re planning the next days adventures.
Another WST cache ticked off the list TFTH
