There is currently roadworks for the Parramatta light rail happening and the hide has been moved and the location is not accessible.
I am currently working here in Sydney. And when I am not working - I am geocaching.
So I found your geocache and I am happy to have a new Smiley on the map so far from home.

We were parked at the pet store, looked to see if there were any caches nearby. Well! this gem popped up, loved the story and found this cache. TFTC

Second of the day. Easy find. I am just a bit short so retrieving to a while
Brought our teenage daugther and her friend up to Westfields today to do some shopping. While they stayed in the comfort of the air conditioned shops I tackled the heat to find a few caches.
Thankfully I stayed on the right side of the wall and this a quick find.
Thanks

Did a quick grab before participating in an event at the nearby SES centre. No pen so took a photo of the log.
We found the GPS telling us it was close at 5m. And there it was. Luckily I had my tall TOTT with me today. Funny feeling loitering outside a gaol. TFTC
Got a park nice and easily and went strolling off to GZ realising half way there I was so cocky after reading the hint, that I didn't even bring a gps/phone. Foolish move? Phew ...found it as expected. TFTC.
A nice quick find but it feels very suspicious lurking around outside a goal, even if it is no longer used.
Easy find but hard to put back as the traffic comes in waves.

My original intent for today was to head to the OZ Geomuster Road Tour, but unfortunately the stars didn't align to allow it to happen. So I headed off for a few random caches to edge closer to my next milestone.
---
After a little shopping for some future cache containers, I pulled up near GZ as I have passed this a number of times without even starting the search.
There could only be one location for a magnetic nano, I wandered over, and spotted it from a few metres away, but only because I knew what I was looking for. A gap in the traffic saw me reaching for the cache. Signed the log and waited for the next gap to replace the cache as found.

After a DNF a few months ago, we decided to stop off on the way home from a wedding. After reading the hint properly, we soon had both caches in hand. One log was full and we were unable to retrieve the other from the container, so we were unable to sign. TFTC!

A nice easy find on a nice cool afternoon in a quiet area.
Had a peek in the prison which was interesting, very spooky. I wonder if it will be redeveloped.
Thanks for the cache!

We were facing the wrong way at first, but after reading the hint it was easy! Interesting history, thanks for bringing us here!
Log is pretty full, we just managed to sign.

While replacing container we noticed the other brandnew one with a new log, so please disregard mention of full log!
Sure is a forgotten gaol, bet it housed some interesting types.
Plenty of traffic, even on a late Saturday afternoon, CIH soon after arrival and only because I sneaked a look at the hint, TFTC

Every time I come to Parramatta I look at this cache. I’ve never had the opportunity to give it a go until today. I thought about not going for it because I’ll be here on Australia Day for a ghost tour through the jail at night. That said, if we happen upon a ghost sighting, I’ll want nothing more than to leave ASAP so I thought it best to grab it now. TFTC!
Tftc. Dropped in for a quick find after 2 hours of listening to a travel club spiel nearby.
5 hours at Westfields doing Christmas shopping has definitely put me in a 'I need a cache' mood.. This one fit the bill nicely as a quick roadside grab on the way back! Thanks for placing
After two finds in North Parramatta I headed here, hoping it wouldn't be too busy on a Saturday morning.
I soon spotted the cache and with careful timing grabbed it. I couldn't open it. I'd brought two caching aids with me but they were no help so it was back to the geomobile for something else. Fortunately that made quick work of the problem and I sat in a nearby bus shelter to sign the log.
I returned to GZ and again with careful timing the cache was returned.
Friends of mine have lived in a unit opposite this gaol for many years. They said sometimes there were interesting noises and odd types at visiting times but they always felt safe. They figured if someone escaped, they weren't going to hide 20m from the gaol but run for it so they were more safe there! lol

They need to turn this into a historical site people can visit! (like Old Melbourne Gaol, its very interesting)

Located at 10:55pm. Nice and easy at this time of night, still a few cars turning but plenty of cover to stay concealed. Спасибо! תודה! TFTC!
I had to drop YGAT with some equipment at the Female Factory and afterwards strolled up to grab this cache. I'm first to sign the new log.
Nice one, thanks llj83.

It seems the previous tenants may have nabbed the Cache recently. All replaced, happy caching.
Our first surprise was finding plenty of parking places near GZ and on a weekday, too. Isolating GZ was a bit more difficult as the GPS wanted us inside the walls, so were let geo sense take over and soon made the find after a look in a couple of small places first. Had to get some assistance to retrieve the container and after completing the duties, the same assistant replaced the container where it was found. Thanks to llj83 for putting this cache into play.
Managed to find some parking not too far away and then walk the short distance to find the cache. The cache was found after a short search. The log was signed and then the cache was replaced as found. Thank you llj83 for placing this cache.
Came down this way this afternoon for a few caches. Pulled up over the road from this, even on a Sunday the road is quite busy. Hunted around a few spots before making the find and took it to the nearby bus stop to sign. Thanks llj83.
Quick find with master Q. Never realised how busy this road gets in peak hour traffic.

P{arked illegally, but on a Sunday morning, I didn't think it would be an issue. I looked here and there and back to here. I Sent the information to my PHL app, but found the little blighter before the app could come up with the location.
Trying to beat the rain made it just in time lucky I was with my geoing sisters a bit of help is good
#1356 after physio & lunch came to Parramatta to pick up some things and whike there checked the system and found I had parked near this cache. So got out of the car and walked to GZ. Spotted the cache right away but the traffic lights changed so had to wait for all of the cars to go passed in both directions. Made a grab of the cache and sat at the bus stop and signed the log and then had to wait so I could replace as found, but not as long as it took to grab the cache. Both the cache and log are in good condition. Thanks for the cache llj83

First cache for me this morning, an easy one to get started.
Not sure how 'forgotten' this gaol is - there was talk recently of it being reopened.
Thanks

Found today while heading home after a beer run. Picked up Shewing castle first then this on had me hanging around waiting for the traffic to pass. Gotcha, now have to keep an eye on the muggles having a smoke across the road. All good.
Looks like a few of us chose today to nab this cache, I unfortunately was incredibly time poor and had to succumb to a PAF. SL #3248 on streak day #1854 TFTC
I always thought the gaol should have a cache. Well done, on putting a cache here. This is cache number 1500 since sept 2015 just under 2 years. TFTC.

I gave up and pafed this one. It turned out I had been very close, but just not close enough. Oh what a tangled web we weave...

Found this one at night after dinner. Wasn't sure if we would have time tonight but had to make a find on Geo wife's birthday. Happy to add another smiley
Oh, the embarrassment!!!
I needed a Phone-a-Friend!
I blame my GPS as it was all over the place all weekend!?!
I remember this place being open when I was a child.

#4263- The end of a busy week and I was heading down to meet my kindy friend for lunch. With his bike now hopefully repaired, bikerbuddy was heading to Botany Bay for a day of riding and exercise. We stopped here for a quick park'n' grab once I actually read that it was a micro. Oh my! One cache without Team canary having done it yet. Thanks
The WaywardWoman was going to drop me in Parramatta so I could ride out to Botany Bay, so I had my bike shoes on which aren't the best for walking. Unafortunately, we had to park further down the street, so I tried to walk in leaves and dirt as much as I could back to the cache location. I was told the cache was a small, so I started looking in spots I figured a small could be located. Then the WaywardWoman corrected herself and said it was a micro. Once she said that, I spotted the cache immediately. Thanks

I was let out of work early today and was very excited to still have daylight left outside to find some caches.
I didn't think this place was forgotten yet. Even I knew of it.
Thanks for the cache.

This one was the first of four targets in North Parramatta today.
What a curious place, I love the sandstone wall but I wonder what will happen to this huge building in the future ?!?
I couldn't resist a peek inside door3.
My iPhone wanted me away from the wall and I soon made the find.

Was driving past here when I remembered about the new published cache. Searched for about 10 minutes at the obvious places before going for a PAF and had that Doh moment. Did the legals and replaced as found. TFTCM

Just the one today after grocery shopping with the Geowife.
Arrived here and parked on the side street. My there is a lot of passing traffic here.
Started the search - spotted one logical spot but it was empty. Hmmm. Started spreading out but still found nothing. My problem was spreading out in only one direction...
10 minutes later I realised I should check a few spots the other way. And there it is! Easy really.
Completed signing duties and replaced.

Well I spotted this one turn up & thought the usual FTF hounds would be all over it, but it was still there almost an hour later & I just happened to be passing by...........
Got close to GZ & was looking around for likely spots when I was approached by a man with that tell tale grin & a cache in his hand. Nice to meet you iFeelU.
