Are there any event geocoins still available? I didnt get back on Sunday to purchase one.
I really enjoyed meeting others, I was impressed with the catering at Cossie Club being convenient with a range for all tastes, and thought the events were all very well covered. Quiz night was fun, would have valued a lot more variety in questions. Wellington weather was superb for this long weekend. Hosted a Great Mega event, fabulous effort!
This was an interesting experience. So many people, and they seemed like pretty good people too. Wonderful. Thanks for organising.

Possibably the last attended log Ah old line geocaching..... Had a great time, rattling about and the erather was kind too. TFTM
We attended our first mega. There was so much going on we had a great time. Thanks to the organizers it was fantastic and the venue was outstanding. TFTM
My son and daughter in law were involved with organizing this event, and as the only caching we do is with them we thought we should look in briefly. Thank you.
Well it's the WENZ Mega Weekend and a plan was hatched to motorhome (as we thought it would make a difference from sleeping in a car which is our normal accommodation method) down here in the company of HKCB, 11HPG11 & Alpenmilch80 and head for a few caches along the way.
As time was of the essence and we had planned to spend bugger all time at the actual mega but rather head for specific caches that we would otherwise not collect.
The record keeping for this trip was a total of 1750kms, (fuel = $450) and less than 100 caches, plenty of Beer & Wine and I still call it a complete success as we got what we came for.
After making Trentham Memorial Park our home for the evening we decided to grab these couple of wherigos before heading to the WENZ Mega.
On arrival at the MEGA we duly lined up and awaited our turn. Thanks for pulling this together
thanks for the placement

Headed to the Nation's capital for a Mad Mission with Team_Gaters to visit the MEGA and have a blast hooning around in our rental car. I grabbed TG at 5.30 am to get to the airport and we picked up the car from the airport at 8am. We figured we needed to be back at the depot by 4.30ish. We had a blast we didn't get crazy amounts of caches but we did get heaps of different types and scored the oldest one for TG. We ended up only driving 150km for the day. The weather was good. Caches were fun and bumped into a few cachers on the road.
Now we were ahead of schedule and heading to the MEGA event. We had to stop by and grab a few caches enroute.
Yahoo, nice job Wellington Team. My fourth MEGA. Cache type 8 of 10.
Thanks for the cache WENZ2018.

Mega weekend, and daughter decided to join me for the day to have some fun around Wellington! We found some cool caches on the day, and so awesome to have another mega in NZ!! Thank you for all the efforts organising, it was fun!!
I flew down to Wellington just for the day today to attend the WENZ Mega Event and I joined up with Yorkshirekiwi83, Vamber and KirsTim for a day's caching, which was focussed primarily on caches in the Hutt Valley area. Popped into the Cossie Club shortly after arriving in Wellington, then managed to attend the prize giving in the evening after a delay to my flight home. Thanks for putting on this Mega Event!
Thanks Team WENZ for putting on a great event! It was great to explore Upper Hutt through caching, and we were thoroughly impressed with the fantastic venue. Our highlights were the Waves to Wairarapa Event and winning the quiz night with our fantastic quiz team, Sour Cream and Chives! Had a great time during the WENZ Mega Event!
I came to this MEGA with my family and had a great time hanging out with lots of friends.

I get a free flight a year on the credit card, so decided this year to use it to go to the mega, and meet mum here, leaving my little miss 2 at home with dad - eek first time flying by myself since she was born!!
With no time to plan anything, and a GPS that had decided to cark it, it was literally just me flying up, and then mum picking me up having planned & organised everything! I just brought myself and the clothes on my back!
Thanks guys for organising, made for a fun day away, and a good excuse to get out

MEGA TRIP 2018.
As usual with the annual MEGA event, we partook in our annual MEGA Trip. However this year was a little different from others, with much more sleep and a little less time caching than usual, but just as much fun being had along the way.
The general goal for the trip was to focus on all the new Virtual caches published over the last year, visiting Cape Palliser (for the Southern most cache in the NI), and Castle Point, along with spending time at the MEGA Event. With this in mind hiring a campervan from Hamilton and seemed like the best way to tackle this goal, plus sleeping in a car with four people, would just be too cramped!
The trip was a great success, and our goals were achieved. A big thanks to all CO's for there hides.
LEG 3: Mega, Cape Palliser and Castle Point: Todays plan was to spend some time this morning at the Mega Event before heading off to Cape Palliser and then working our way North to Castle Point. Two places that have been on the to visit list for a while now.
What a fantastic event, really well put together. Hung out for a little bit before heading out to find some caches. A big thanks to everyone who help put this aall together.

So many cachers from far and wide! A great job by the organisers to get this event to MEGA status, you deserve a medal.
Great job by the Mega Committee. Thank you very much for the hard work. Excellent venue in a beautiful part of the country.
Have come down from Papakura for this event and made a road trip out of the long weekend. What a fabulous venue with all that is available for your committee to use and with having the food & beverages available to all and that Auditorium was a great sized room. Thank you to the committee for all that went on behind the scenes to get this event together I know how big of a job that can be.
Popped and and met some friendly people. Enjoyed our first lab caches - thanks for organising.
Logged the log.
Signed in the shadow of the great ADV.
Politely refused the offer to roll the log into a clearer space.
Paid the toll for some memoriabilia.
A day of puns...
Thanks For The Mega TFTM

Well done team, we had such a great weekend. The log was a first - there was a few of those interesting logs this weekend ! Thanks again we had a blast.
Thank you to the WENZ2028 committee and all those who helped organise this event, we have enjoyed it very much and would like to congulrate you on a job well done.
My very first mega, we have gotten all the lab caches and have a much better understanding of what a mega really is. Thank you to the organisers for all of your hard work.
Thanks to the organisers for this very enjoyable MEGA. An excellent venue and a good variety of activities and caches thank you. I have never spent much time in Upper Hutt and found it to be a very pleasant area to spend time in.
Thanks organisers you did a great job There was plenty to keep you involved and everyone I met enjoyed themselves immensely
We were down from Stratford for our first Mega event and had been staying at an interesting Bed and Breakfast Home-stay. After checking out we headed off to the Pilgrimage event, and from there we planned to take a leisurely drive home.
For us the Mega event is now over as, while I would have liked to learn about Wherigos, my wife is working on Monday and has an early start.
Thanks for all the organising, it has been a fantastic and memorable weekend.

Time for Brownie to come home from the Chatham Islands where he's been since February before he heads off on his next adventure. Came along with boxhill on Sunday.
Holidays in Newzealand ... after visiting GC46 and the Event WENZ 2018: Pilgrimage (Wellington) with Rogerw1nz, it went to Upper Hutt. After over 18000 kilometers, we arrived the Wenz Mega Event 2018 (Wellington) and were welcomed .... wonderful. After the event we were looking for some caches in Upper Hutt and Wellington. Thank you for the perfect organization and greetings to all organizers and helpers.
Thanks for the MEGA and greetings from Germany.

Talking with TheWanglers, an age ago it seems; that if WENZ made Mega we should look at taking a daytrip up from Christchurch to visit.....It did; and as it worked out - we could. So here we are. Early morning flight in, and a late afternoon flight out. A day trip full of fun, caches, dodgy parking...and more fun.
Slightly ahead of schedule we managed to drop in to Mega HQ late morning. Great to sign the log; say hi to the crew and complete the couple Lab caches in the room...
Being part of the committee of the 2015 CHCH Mega I know the effort and time involved. Well done team, great effort & much appreciated by everyone. Smashing day & great to be part of it all - if only for the day. Cheers!

Another great NZ event over, And this means I've been to all NZ MEGAs so far. ALL. OF. THEM. Too bad someone thought it was a good idea to go out for dinner half an hour before the prize ceremony and that I through it was a good idea too.. Hope you get more people from outside NZ to come for future events too!
See you around, NZ! I'll be here until the 22nd of november and then we'll see when/if I will be back...

Great event. Loved the log book. Especially enjoyed the W2W. Many thanks to all those that organized it. Great Cossie Club great place to have as a base.
My husband and I stopped in for a wonderful dinner at lunch. This club has a wonderful menu and great prices. I found the lovely log and signed my attendance. The gentleman was busy talking to some other people, so I slipped out.
Thank you for my first event.
