Logs
We came caching here several years ago and now we're back here caching again. This time we have Beau, our geomut with us. He's very keen on sniffing out the bird life around the dam. Mr Herbz soon spotted the tiny container TFTC
Oddly quick find as I was expecting to have to search for ages with all the undergrowth in the area. Once spotted, it was not easy to access, but got there in the end.Shout out to TeamJLBL for replacing the log. Previous finders had commented that it was in poor condition, but the log I signed was in perfect shape.TFTC
Pic is BL at GZ. Probably could increase the D/T rating on this oneVery overgrown now with lantana, log sheet was mush. Had a spare so we placed that .From our camp at Canungra we are going to Beaudesert to collect a few cachesStopped off here on our journey.TFTC
With the geo wife booked in at the hairdressers for the better part of the day I headed out to pick up the remaining caches I need to complete an LGA challenge Ive been working on for sometime. Only need another 13 and I have finally got there.Upon arriving at the suggested parking location I quickly made my way to GZ. The cache was quickly found and found it too wet to sign and returned safely. Now back through the wet grass to the car and off on the next adventure.A big thanks to the cache owner for making this cache available to be found.Cheers
After an event nearby at Beaudesert I decided to target these caches & get a little exercise to boot! It was tricky to find the best access point with the least amount of thorns but got there in the end TFTC
First find in a little while. Cache not visited for a while either. The log could be signed but pretty much fell apart when unravelled. Thanks for placing this cache.
My husband and i have been having a long weekend away at Rathdowney , Tuckeroo and today i dropped him off at the races while i targeted the caches around this damn. This was my first today while also doing the multi and wouldnt you know it some people were walking their dogs just as i was about to search. Said my hellos and once out of sight i ducked in and soon spotted the cache. Love the photo of Sophie and have added a photo of my dog Roxy enjoying a swim at the off leash park. Thanks for all the fun today
After a great morning paddling on the lake as part of Davidwazza's event, we headed back to town and stopped to collect some local caches.
After a well-earned coffee, we decided to take a walk around this lake and collect the caches in this area.
A quick find here, thanks Richmond Lad and shanewbellamy.nugget clan for the cache.

Today, the plan was a kayak paddle on Lake Wyaralong to facilitate an event. The weather forecast was predicting rain showers, but we had a dry and pleasant paddle. A small group then took a drive to Beaudesert for a coffee / early lunch, before then taking a walk around Nindooinbah Dam.
During the afternoon, Beardman75 and I took a walk around King Coolum Reserve, and then I took a drive north finding a few geocaches around Jimboomba and targeting a few oldie geocaches within the vicinity.
A small group of dam walkers decided to extend our geocaching by visiting Nindooinbah Dam, which included Beardman75, Davinells, Peppa, and Willis007. Beardman75 had commented that he had a FTF on this geocache, but it had been too long ago for him to recall where the cache was, and I'm sure the area has changed substantially with growth. It took a good 10 minutes for the small group to search different areas, before I managed to catch sight of the cache and themed contents. The cache container and logbook were in good shape. Thanks cAChE_SUPREME (shanewbellamy, and Nugget Clan) for the cache placement, and Richmond Lad for its ongoing maintenance.

After a group paddle on Lake Wyaralong we headed to Beaudesert for a well-earned coffee. We decided the cluster of caches around Nindooinbah dam would be our target for the afternoon.
The lantana around GZ definitely hampered our search, even the previous finder in our group (who was in fact the FTF on this cache) did not prove as useful as we would have hopped.
Davidwazza eventually spotted the shiny thing in the tree. Tftc

After attending the paddle event on Lake Wyaralong this morning, a group of us enjoyed coffee and cake in downtown Beaudesert before deciding to target Nindooinbah Dam…
I believe one of the group today may have been FTF here, many years ago when Jesus played Fullback for Jerusalem, but I may have garbled some of the details…
My that’s a significant amount of Lantana… after some time looking it was Davidwazza who called “Peppa weren’t you standing right here?”
Apparently I’m supposed to not only stand, but look at the same time… obviously I’m still learning…

Taking the walk around the dam to come upon this cache. After a short search it was looking at us. TFTC
Walked the dog around this reserve today - such a long time since we've been here. Years. Perfect conditions today. we should come here more often. There's (the remains of?) a log sheet plastered to the inner walls of the container - I doubt that one's ever coming out whole. It's been pretty wet. However, the log within a log was easily tweezed free for a sign-off. Thanks for hiding this one. MM.
I was really wondering how the hint would translate into a cache - Well played!
This one was a very easy find, well done on the creativity on it. There were a couple of ladies up ahead of us walking their dog - I had a good laugh that they had no idea what they were walking past!

Out for a little morning walk on a beautiful Sunday. After a few minutes of searching the cache was located, signed and put back safely. TFTC
After getting up early this morning to get photos of the lunar eclipse/blood moon, I decided to keep going and do the other thing I love doing.... Geocaching.
Came out this way to get a few unique D/T rating caches that I needed.
After my almost epic fail on the multi, I decided to walk to this one since I was here just before. A quick scan of the trees and I found this cache as I thought I would.
Logbook hard to get out and back but managed it.

A clever little cache, fortunately the pointy device was happy and a quick find.
Had Sophie's cache in hand and that is where the fun began. As the previous logger, no amount of coaxing tempted the log sheet to come out.
Tried to make the extraction process a little easier for the next finder.

I had not looked at the cache page before I logged this one, but at GZ I had an idea of what I might be looking for. The cloud cover was making an accurate GZ impossible, so it was down to a circle around and hope for the best. Sure enough I spotted something. Much smaller than I expected, but then I now know that Sophie is not huge hound form her picture.
The log was an absolute to get out.
Sophie has had some visitors recently, but it looks like they have all moved on now.
My hound, Rufus, loved to go caching. She was not good a putting the sticks back over the cache though.

Even though it is cloudy with light rain, geocaching is still on! The RoddyCs are in the company of Selva Girls and Storti Girls.
We were wandering around a bit because of the cloud cover, but eventually I spotted the hiding spot.
Log signed and replaced at 2:06 pm on 21 October 2017. TFTC, shanewbellamy, nugget clan

A bit of a hunt for this cache in the rain, hampered by rain ponchos and umbrellas, but Mr RoddyC eventually located the container and all names were added to the log. Tftc shanewbellamy and nugget clan
The weather will not keep cachers tucked away at home! I was out for a day of caching with stortigirls and Mr and Mrs RoddyC. In the rain, we searched for an embarrassingly long time before the cache was finally located. I blame the umbrellas and the hoods on jackets and ponchos for obstructing our views :p TFTC
We are so enjoying our walk around the dam today. Much like Sophie does I imagine. She probably finds interesting things to stop and discover and with the caches here we are too. Cache was found in good condition. Thanks cAChE SUPREME for these caches today. A great walk. Cheers!
Caching around the dam with geofriends collecting some of the new caches. After a short search we spotted something that probably Sophie would like to see. Thanks for placing this cache.
Lovely winters day out with geo friends and the walk around this dam was lovely and not very strenuous. Thanks shanewbellamy, nugget clan for the neat hide and TFTC
Found with lisylou, bennyboppers, jemillalucy and REMSJW (aka the tough mothers)
TFTC...31/7/17 Tough Mothers country road trip. Got a lead to it. Like a Russian doll set, containers kept getting smaller.
First off, let me just say I absolutely hate nanos! Purely because the logs are so god damn hard to get out and especially to get back in.
But I peservered, and got the log back in damage free was a fairly quick find. I love this area so thank you nugget clan and shanewbellamy for bringing me back. Next weekend I'll find the "odd one out"

Well that's disappointing. Spent the last 30 mins looking for this with no luck
