The main clue has been slowly disappearing and now is all but illegible.
So I am archiving this cache and replacing it with a slightly different multi.

This was a task and a half as the numbers are for the most part unreadable. One is ok (just) but the other is a guess.
So I tried a few numbers and several of the GZ were obviously incorrect.
So finally worked out the right one and found the container, but no log in it.
I’m claiming it as a find and will notify the CO.

Clever execution. The painting on the cement has faded but if you stand back you can just make out the numbers. The outer container of the cache is broken but the inner one is fine. Thanks!

My goodness today is proving a challenge with multi-caches. I was able to use the stepping stones to successfully get across the creek and back but the graffiti was unreadable as the time has passed. I could barely make out the #, the last digit was OK but the first digit was a bare faint outline that could, really, have been any number. It took two guesses and a few calculations to finally come up with the correct co-ordinates and with that the geocache was found. The container may need some TLC as the white base is broken and no longer holds the container inside. Thanks for this geocache here today Robmc as it's my only find for the entire month.

Out on a maintenance run today.
Cleaned out container.
All ready to be found.

Came out for a metro walk given the bush conditions of late. Picking off a few caches along the way. Thanks for taking me across the stepping stones. The marking is very faded now but if you have been walking the trail you will probably already have seen the marking in other spots unfortunately TFTC

*Found on the 22 Dec 2019 @ 1:20 pm.*
*Cache find # 10286.*

I rechecked my numbers because it seemed to be an odd place to finish but it was there.

I was wanting to go for a bike ride and I thought that it would be a good opportunity to give this series ago and combine two things I like doing.
The trails in this series are good as the are a bit of a mix with up’s and down’s and a bit twisty as well.
The later it was getting into the afternoon, the stronger the wind seemed to be getting, it was a bit hard riding into it but it was good exercise.

**Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.**

Found the cash. The numbers on the concrete block work very hard to read, however I was able to discern them by stepping back and looking up and from a distance. I found the geocache dismantled by what I expect was the weather. Reassembled and placed it all back into position.

This proved to be the most demanding cache for the day. We went to cross the creek but found two of the stepping stones well under swiftly flowing water. We may look for many caches, but were are not that desperate. Then as we tackled another cache we found another way to be on the other side of the creek. The came the next challenge - identifying the required digits. One was very obvious but the other was problematic. We were wondering if the number was actually there or we were willing it to be there - it had faded so much. Then we took a photo of what we thought were the numbers and that helped our confidence with the first digit. We calculated the final coordinates and they looked reasonable. So then it was back to other other side of the creek without using the stepping stones. Accurate coordinates led to a quick find but the cache container was out in the open, upside down and full of water. Thankfully the inner container had remained watertight and the log was find. After signing the log and reassembling the dried cache container, we hid it very close by but with better protection. Thanks Robmc for the cache and the series.

Couldn't find the details we needed at the waypoint. Will try again, one day

Had a quick try at this one, couldn't find the numbers. FAIL! Next time.

This was supposed to be part of the multi challenge last year, but the container went AWOL just before I went to sign the log. So instead, it was only a slight detour on the way home from a job around the Ring Road.

Fortunately, the now very appropriate hide was sitting in place (though I was a tad worried for a tick, as I looked for the old style first). Another date that doesn't only have traditional finds.

Thanks, again, Robmc, for this cache and fun series.

I thought it was time I finished my Victorian LGA’s. This was my last one. As I shamefully neglected multi’s for a while, I thought I would kill two birds with one stone, and find some in this LGA. So off I headed, on a weekend, so I could hopefully avoid some traffic. Today, I just had to avoid muggles! I was glad I had waterproof sneakers on today as the first stepping stone is completely under water. A great exciting multi though! Thanks for placing the cache Robmc.

Clever hide. After trying to work out what * ment I ended up working it out in the end haha. GPS is right on point so made it easyish haha clever hide. Thank you for this find Smile

Annoying Tarbit and I had planned a caching day which started the moment I stepped off the Spirit at the pier. AT had planned a route that started at the docks and took in both the KCTand Federation Trail, and we looked for a few caches in between there too.

What do you mean I have to cross the stepping stones? I'm clumsy at the best of times. Happily no wet feet on this particular excursion across the creek. Mural spotted and somehow I found the cache pretty quickly at GZ. TFTC

28-Apr-19
I picked Lost_and_found_79 up straight off the Tassie ferry for a day of caching and after heading to Webb Dock first we came over the Westgate Bridge to try the Kororoit Creek Trail, the Federation Trail and others nearby. We started from the north end and headed south along the creek. This was another multi to pick up and having crossed on the stepping stones without falling in the drink we picked up the info needed. Then it was off to GZ where we were able to make the find pretty quickly. Our fourth find of 43 for the day. Took nothing, left nothing, signed log and visited some trackables. Thanks for the multi cache and the series Robmc.

Today was a day to gather Multis for the Multi Month Challenge with Simsfamily who was way ahead, so I had some catching up to do visiting some intresting locations.
Felt like kids again hopping across the creek. The information was calculated for us to make a quick find.

Log signed and replaced as found

Thanks for the cache Robmc

This month I have some extra time on my hands after taking a redundancy so taking a relaxing break is in order. What better thing to do to relax than some caching. So I decided to tackle multi month and I also roped Ausfox; in as well. We had made a good start last weekend but Ausfox; needed a few more to really get on top of things so today we were to tackle from Sunshine to Williamstown to grab as many multi's as we could.
For me this was my first of the day and after carefully making the hop across the creek the coords were quickly revealed and we headed to GZ for a nice quick find. Just what the doctor ordered.
Thank you Robmc for your work setting this one up

I am well known for my ability to fall into the water regardless of how stable and nonslip the stepping stones are, but I negotiated these ones without getting wet. Amazing. The mural is a bonus, I never would have known it was there

DNF @ 12:34

My self-appointed challenge for the year is to get 1000 finds for the year, and I've fallen behind in that. To get me closer, I took to the Federation Trail and Kororoit Creek Trail. There were storms forecast, but thankfully seemed to pass by the area, and leave me unscathed.

It turns out, as well as not being able to bus (see GC7HCBC), I cannot multi either. Although I had a good reason for this one. With the rainfall over the last few days, the titular feature of this cache was submerged... as were my plans of getting this cache today.

Thanks anyway Robmc

Found at 11:59 on December 6, 2018. Find # 974.

After a meeting in sunshine I thought I'd come and finish this off after last time the creek was a raging torrent.

Today it was trickling and an easy crossing. With the info in hand just a few quick calculations and I headed off to GZ, I found the container quickly and while the builders were working on the other side I made quick and quiet work with my signature and replaced everything as found and headed back to my vehicle and the air conditioned comfort.

Thanks to Robmc for placing and maintaining this cache. TFTC.

He who cannot ride a bike can balance and therefore cross a creek without an issue. She, meanwhile, admired the Love where you Live works that are shaping the area into a better place.
Both of us were able to go to GZ, whispering only as there were some building works going on in the neighbourhood and we did not want to meet the workers or explain to them what we were doing here.
Log signed, on to the next.

Day 3 of our epic 12 day / 10 night trek to the Parkville Mega in Melbourne. Razz
The constant was my travel companions for the entire trip, - Anymules and S.A. Sewer Rats but we were joined by almost local cacher Bushfire for a lot of the escapades Cool So to save space in the logs we usually just wrote our initials BABS to save space. As we met and cached with other teams along the way more and more initials were added. Surprised
We spent the morning still in Ballarat before attending a Lunch event and then caching our way towards the mega making quite a few varied detours along the way!. Surprised

Finally made it almost to out digs for the next five nights, but couldn't resist the old 'just one more find. Wink And of course that turned into five or six! [:o)] This was one of them. Smile Some of the group are still trying to get to 500 multi's for challenges so another one ticked off the list. Razz

**Thanks Robmc for this cache. ** Big Grin

Another multi off my targeted list.
Out helping Bushfire in our travels from Ballarat to Parkville.
Found and signed as part of our group as BABS.

15-Nov-18
The Melbourne Mega has been and gone so now the hardest part for me is to log all these great caches that we have found over the past six days. We have had six days of full on caching which started with a few high D/T caches in Ballarat using kayak,s ladders, etc the assault started last Wednesday 14th but not without a few mishaps that included a tree fall, a number of bike mishaps and numerous bloodletting. Some of us look like the walking wounded but you just have to keep soldering on as there is always another cache to be found. I also have to include the stiff legs from all the kilometres walked.
Most logs were signed BABS which stands for brisal5, Anymules, Bushfire and S.A. Sewer Rats to save space in all the log books. This will a generic log owing to the huge number of caches to be logged so I would like to thank all cache owners for the time and effort it takes to place these caches and also for the maintenance of the said caches.
Again thanks to all the cache owners that helped to make the 2018 Melbourne Mega the great success that it was, so now to look forward to St.Arnaud next year where you will be blown away with the quality of the hides. Save up your favorite points as you will use heaps in this area.
After the huge brown that was laying around enjoying the sunshine earlier we kept a close watch where we walked.

What a fantastic spot. The friends group have done a great job, te grassland is fantastic. I particularly love the Drumsticks, their yellow heads are beautiful. Cache was easy enough, as promised, and a great little find. Cheers!

There was no log book when I got to this cache. The container was still there, but nothing inside. I put a piece of paper in, but that won’t last long. It will need something better some time soon Smile Fantastic otherwise, thanks!

What a lovely day for a ride along the Kororoit Creek, a place we hadn't visited before. Thanks to RobMC for the caches, gave us a reason. We decided to start from Silverton Close, which seemed about the middle of the series, and head north.

Cool steps, and a quick calculation. Then it was only a short wander to the GZ. Interesting artwork.

I was able to step across the stones today. I grabbed the information and really enjoyed the view of the mural on return. At GZ, I almost turned the find into a field puzzle! Thanks Robmc, a pretty spot on a cold morning.

15-Jun-18
I was here a while back but the creek was too high to cross, and the drain was flowing very fast as well, today the drain is not flowing, but creek still too high to cross, but using a tool, I could find what was required on other side, and looking at mural was not a problem, so with a seat nearby, a few sums were done, and a place of interest was discovered, and GZ soon showed itself, not easy to extract, but another tool did the job and soon had my sign in the log, Thanks Robmc, another hide found

20-May-18
A bit of time late on a Sunday afternoon to head out with the kids for a ride. We try and find an area that combines a park for them and some geocaches for me so this trail fit the bill. We only had time to travel a small section of the trail before we ran out of light and or energy. Thanks for the hides Robmc.

It is now replaced with a slightly more applicable hide.

Searched with Eudes and linearZZ on our multi team attack on FT and KCT. Mrs LZZ had gone ahead to collect the info, but we still couldn't make a find - double and triple checked and all!

25-Apr-18
About this time the reduced AD Cycling Team of EuDes, Alsume (not towed by Shadow) and LinearZZ became aware that the resting LinearZZ member had done some reconnoitering and advised that the final waypoint was not promising. Unfortunately this was confirmed by the team.

Well, I did the leg work for this on a ride down the creek earlier in the year, and contrived to locate, but not sign the log. I guess plans sometimes come unstuck, as there's no sign of the thing tonight.

With too much annual leave built up I have started to take a few random days off to get it back down again so I took the bike out for 4 hours today along these trails on the opposite side of the city to what I am normally on. I managed 39 finds and 4 DNF's.
Apart from a few council workers near the first few caches, it was awesome on a Friday, clear trails and virtually no muggles anywhere to hinder my searches.

Stopped by here, parked the bike jumped over the stones and had my numbers. Went to GZ, found nothing, checked calculation again, same place, still found nothing...had to move on since I didn't want to play around against the muggles fence when they were actually in the back yard.
Thanks Robmc for the cache, the adventure, the hunt and the fun.

#13969. Hoping to finish off the KCT Trail this afternoon despite the gale-force winds along many sections of the ride. Oh that's right the western basalt plains and howling winds send via Ballarat and further west. Managed to find the final 16 and it was nice to blow the cobwebs away - was very thankful for the E-Bike that helped on so many parts of the track.

Unfortunately for me I did not have the beautiful boots owned by vividrogers to make the steps across to the other side. I did however manage to gather the numbers required and also noted the two rather gorgeous and colourful murals - what a shame they would be missed by so many people who use this trail. Off to GZ we rode and soon discovered the extremely obvious container - oh dear it was wet inside so we dried it out and replaced the log sheet and then I replaced it and actually added camouflage so that it can't be seen on approach. Off we go to the next one.

Thanks Robmc

Thankyou RobMc for this marvellous run of caches along the Kororoit Creek trail.
Lovely to meet a couple of other cachers along the way. One comprised a mother and four children so that was special.

03-Jan-18
Oh Rob.

Oh Rob, oh Rob, oh Rob.

It's been so looooooooong.

But today, I strapped up my back with extra tight strapping, laced up my boots, and cleaned the oven.

And then I took all the children in the car and made my way over here, the outer reaches of RobMcRobville. I have a deep fondness for a good power trail, and as I was testing my back for pain, a creek trail seemed ideal.

So we got here and I read the listing properly- as you do, and realised that it was tad more precarious than I thought... but this isn't the first time you have lead the kids and I across stepping stones, and I sincerely hope it won't be the last. We made the whole multi without added dampness which is a plus, seeings as I got soaked on your Moonee Ponds Creek CCT, and I didn't even have to cross the creek on that one.

The mural is so pretty- how did you find that?

We found the cache with no trouble at all, and happily walked along toward the next one.

Lovely day for a walk and a lovely day for my first multi cache! Thank you!

We decided that today would be the first time to go bike riding for the year so popped the bikes on the back of the GeoHilux and parked at the Altona North end of the Kororoit Creek geoTrail for a nice ride along the creek.

It was a great day for cycling and this was one of the 26 caches we picked up along the way. TFTC Smile

Found by Mary & David at 1318. With all the rain we've had over the last few days, the Creek was flowing strongly. As a result, there were only a few standing waves where we presumed the stepping stones lay submerged. Despite that setback, we managed to obtain the required numbers by other means, then headed off to GZ. The location was quite noisy in a delightful way, as a couple of the nearby trees were occupied by a flock of lorikeets. Could have watched their antics for ages. Found the cache on the ground and with some water inside. Emptied it out, and signed the (waterproof) log with no probs. Replaced the cache at a higher altitude with some natural camo cover. Our thanks to Robmc.

Well I got to this place, and debating whether to venture acroos the part submerged STONES, when a noise at the drain beside me made me look at the huge torrent that started emanating from it, ALL that water from just a little shower, looked at stones again, THEY have gone under quicker than a PLATYPUS, nothing to do but call it quits, watch the creek slowly filling up and flowing faster, A lesson in how quick water can come along and flood your dreams, Thanks Robmc

17:40, 18 Nov 2017, Out with Ali and Cliff5009 for this arvos caching fun clearing up caches on the KCT tail.

The rain had just about stopped when we arrived at the sign and we ventured down to the stones and were about to make the crossing when we heard a noise at the drain beside us.. the next thing we know out comes gushing water from the drain from the 15 or so minutes of rain we have just had.. we looked at the stones and I said there is no way any of us are venturing across those stones today.. we then went and looked at the sheer amount of water coming out of the drain.. a few pics were taken and Ive uploaded to here. we then headed home to return another day.. TFTC that we nearly got.. ~:0)

In the area for work yesterday and flying home today so with a bit of time to fill in why not a couple of caches.
Decided needed to do a multi today as well hoping the rain would hold off, and it did. After crossing the stepping stones without falling in the waypoint was located and required information obtained.
After doing the maths the final coordinates were found a short walk away. Managed to cross back over ok the at gz found the cache out in the open on the grass. Upon opening log was dry so signed and replaced cache under a bit of camo near a natural structure. Not knowing exactly where the original hide was I hope this is ok.
After signing the log put cache back with a bit of local camo.
Thanks for placing this cache Robmc

The geoson has suddenly ramped up his interest in geocaching to the extent that he has his own caching name (Derp3). We decided that we would do some caching on our bikes so I though that the KCT would be ideal. The weather was perfect for it although the good weather also tends to bring out the muggles too.

We had parked such that we could complete this end of the trail first and then continue with the rest of it. We had completed The Small Triangle and Rock Wall and then turned around to make our way for this cache.

On the way here there is a bit of a hill which Derp3 had to get off his bike and push about half way up it. I did like wise. At the top there is a corner which we turned and coming the other way was a lady wearing just a hip length jacket and a very sheer full length body stocking that hid nothing...and I mean nothing!!

As you would expect this was a bit of a shock. Derp3 just looked at the ground until we passed her whilst I politely just said 'Good Afternoon' as we walk past her.

At the posted coordinates Derp3 made the crossing to collect the required information. We then made our way to the GZ for a quick find. TNLN. TFTC.

Found by The Empire
A morning walk was the plan today, parking at Buckingham Park - I was surprised by the amount of cars in the carpark and the many people enjoying the playground. As I travelled south, people became scarce and when I went back north the freaks came out. Seems Sunshine West is still a little dodgy.

A nice little walk across and back. Seems like the mural was used to educate kids about litter and it's impact on the environment - cool! Thanks for the cache, and the series, Robmc.

Did our calculations - 3 times. The GPS wouldn't record our numbers properly and defaulted to what ever it wanted which was about 3kms away at one stage.

This series popped up when I was up north on holidays
I work close to here but I thought I would need a couple of hours to find all of them
I parked in the car park back a bit set off on foot on a nice sunny winters day to find this series
A nice walk along this path and another cache
I was wondering what mural
But that was to come
Water was over a couple of the stepping stones but I made it across got what was required and the spotted the mural not everyone would get to see this
Made it back over with the coords and soon had the sneaky cache in hand
Thanks Robmc TFTC

After reading the cache notes about the rather fascinating life of this creek, it was interesting to ride the trail, stopping of course for the caches placed to draw our attention to informative sites, or just plain quirky spots.
The stepping stones were showing today, guess there are times when the crossing could be quite tricky! Great mural too!

Thanks Robmc for placing caches for everyone's enjoyment.

Out for some late afternoon sneaky Vietnamese in Sunshine, figured we'd grab a few nearby caches. Kororoit Creek is actually really lovely, and a bit of a hidden gem. A lovely albeit interesting journey along the first part of the trail, where we witnessed some people looking for their lost dog 'Meatball', an 'exchange' between some shady characters in a shady vehicle with some others in another vehicle, almost got barreled down by people screaming down around the bend on their bikes, a beautiful rock-hopping creek crossing, crossed paths with another geocacher, lots of rabbits and birds, and some interesting geocache hides to top it all off Smile
After reading the sign info, a nice creek hop across the stones I went - lots of fun. It was raining lots though so I was being extra careful although no need to worry all high and dry thankfully. Strange place for a mural - I wonder how many people see it (well, plenty of geocachers now at least will). My coords had us finding some old bones - nope not the cache. Widened the search to a more obvious spot for a quick but clever find. TFTC Smile

An interesting little mural here. I'd imagine most wouldn't see it but all of us will Smile

I must admit to obtaining the requisite information from another cacher I crossed paths with on my journey along the path. A good thing too as I was losing light and really wanted one of the CO's multis to be my 200th given the number of his that I've completed. Once GZ was calculated a quick find was made.

Suscoe decided that this afternoon was going to be devoted to the KCT series and so on a delightful late Winter's afternoon of 18 degrees C and bright sunshine we set off on this adventure.
By the time we got to the other end it was cloudy and much cooler.
We enjoyed the walking and relocating and walking and relocating and walking a great deal and this little creek is really quite pretty.
Thanks to Robmc for this experience.

Well just what the doctor ordered, a creek crossing and a delightful water level to work with.
Gathered what we needed to and did what we needed to and there it was.
Cache all good here today.

05/08/2017 9:55:00 AM - I swung past here with Square_pegs and found this cache on this bright sunny yet kind of cold day. Thanks Robmc for the adventure.

Pirate treasure to be found.

A multi was needed.

This was the closest to home.

A quick gather of likely co-ords.

Spot on they were, x marked the spot.

I signed the log and was on my way.

Will return to complete the series another day.

The water wasn't too high and we were happily able to step across. With the information gathered we proceeded to GZ for a quick find.
It was found while out on a walk along a trail that we haven't visited in the company of abl973.
Thanks to Robmc for placing this cache.

It turns out that this is a good week to do multi. The fellow pirates in my team will be pleased I have nailed 2 multis already and our score is mounting.
Enjoyed the mural but really wanted to keep a good eye on my footing here. The water is not all that savoury
