As this cache has been out of action for too long, I'm archiving it to keep it from continually showing up in search lists, and to prevent it from blocking other cache placements. If you wish to repair/replace the cache sometime in the future, just contact us (by email), and assuming it meets the guidelines, we'll be happy to unarchive it.

Hi
It appears that this cache has been inactive for quite some time.
Is it going to be replaced or should it be archived to make room for possible future caches? If the cache owner does not contact me within Three Weeks, I'll assume the cache needs to be archived.
While I feel that Geocaching.com should hold the location for you and block other cachers from entering the area around this cache for a reasonable amount of time, we can't do so forever. Please either repair/replace this cache, or archive it so that someone else can place a cache in the area, and geocachers can once again enjoy visiting this location. Also, if you haven’t done so already, please pick up any remaining cache bits as soon as possible.
I want to thank you for the time that you have taken to contribute to geocaching in the past and am looking forward to seeing your cache up and running in the future.
Thanks for your understanding,
Regards,

There has been some recent tree pruning, no cache to be seen/found. Maybe missing?
Very nice park and interesting story for the building!
Despite the very clear hint we did not find the cache.
Thanks for guiding us here!

We stayed five nights in Methven and went skiing two times to Mount Hutt. On a rainy day we decided to go geocaching. This was quite easy to find. TFTC! Greetings from Finland.
Staying locally in methven for a few days and have 2 excited kids searching with me today.
A bit mucky around here under foot - but a quick find for mr 8.

TFTC- all dry- quick find on my way home to Invercargill after visiting my daughter and 3 grandchildren
Find number 3999. Down in Ashburton for the indoor bowls. All our teams exited earlier today so a trip to Methven seemed in order. The others headed into the Brown Pub which is across the road from the Blue Pub while I headed down to grab this one. Thankfully it was a quick find so I did not waste too much drinking time. Thank you for the placement.
A nice and quick find. A bit of an interesting shed that one. NOt many corners to lean stuff against! Cheers.
A nice day for a drive in the country. Off to Methven and Lake Heron to find some newish caches. The weather was great till it started raining near Rakaia on the way home, with the lightning filling the sky.
Thanks to all the CO's for placing and maintaining these caches. Cheers.

After spending a couple of days exploring the area, it was time for StreetWalker and me to return to Christchurch.
It's been some time since we were last in Methven, so good to have a look around this nice wee town. had a bit of trouble finding a way in to the gardens, so had to leap the fence. TFTC.

#15341. We didn't find the proper way into the reserve, and hopped over the fence. Cache was quickly found (so quickly I didn't think to look for the BoTP; doh). Nice reserve though. TFTC.
Found in our holidays to New Zealand.
On tour, we decided to have lunch here in Methven.

Beautiful little spot that I didn't even know was there even though I visit the area for work every week. Enjoyed the short walk around the park. Cache easy to find.
Found it easily, unfortunately there's no pen inside to log it. Thanks for the cashe
#3900 on my way to castle hill on a ftf mission via mt hutt so finally made the Time to swing by and grab this . wasn't sure how to get in so just jumped the fence and followed the track for a nice quick find tftc. Dropped off tb
Popped in to find this one on our way to Lake Ida. Found without too much trouble, but putting the cache back required a bit of waiting to a couple of kids playing in the area to wonder off elsewhere - they took their time!! In the end yetichch deployed ome diversion tactics allowing me to dash in and replace the cache. TFTC!

I was staying just round the corner from the park and the story attached to the cache was interesting so I started my day caching with this one. Took the TB in the cache with me.

By logging all my caches I made a mistake. I logged on in France but wanted to log this here. Finally after KleineHobbit mentioned a log in France I could find out the right cache I found this day when I was discovering Mehtven.
Thanks for the cache even it is archived now.

3 January 2018 18:37 Well I guess that someone made their pipe dream come true! Great range of plants in this little garden. TFTC team_macdonald
Decided to do this one with out any Coords in the GPS. Not the best idea. I think we looked under every tree until we found the correct one. A lovely area. TFTC
This must be the forsth time we have visited this very nice plantyed area for a cache
After a pleasant evening meal, we went for a short walk to look for this cache. It was a very nice site to visit and I soon tracked down what I was after.
The entrance to this area wasn't obvious to us, so we clambered over the fence. We meandered our way to the cache, which was a quick easy find. It was interesting to see the pipe shed and read about it. TFTC
That was such an interesting find, and the view of the "room" made it even more so. Have cached in here before;--many years ago!!! Thanks.
YES, YES, YES !!! FTF
There have been a couple of new caches published recently which I either found out about too late or had no transport to get to. I was very much aware of the year passing by and no first to find. Husband has had the last week off and I was really hoping a cache would be published that I could get too while I had above average access to a car. Eldest son even offered to hide one but then I reminded him that he had no control over when it would be published.
The garden certainly has grown a lot since my first visit for a cache here many years ago. The size of the pipe and what they achieved was certainly impressive.
Cache was found only an hour after publication. Unfortunately I couldn't convince any of the boys to come for a drive with me. It was certainly a beautiful morning for a drive. I was a bit confused by the date on the inside of the logbook.
Thanks for placing this cache, the garden certainly deserves one.
