This morning my wife and I had sacrificed one hour of sleep so we could get up early to find a few hides. Our plan was to be back at our accommodation by 11:50am to watch the Jillaroos play footy and start day-drinking.Day drinking is absolutely fine when you are doing it with your best mate. Its even better when you know that you only have to travel 5 metres to the bed in case you need an early afternoon siesta. This was our last find of the day and we were even back early enough to have a morning nightcap before the footy started. tftc
MM drove me to the top so I could take in the views and then seek out all the caches along the trail on the way down.
Hanging around here way too long now.

Saw this one before we got out of the vehicle. So an easy find. Thanks Sparhawke
Out hunting dinosaurs this morning and with a bit of effort managed a clean sweep
Some had numbers a few didn’t as they appeared to be replacements
Will have to message the co for some help to obtain the ultimate prize when next out this way.
Cheers

Out for the day around Kingaroy celebrating my July birthday (yes! it took the stars a while to align) with my precious acquired family from across the road. Bought them to Mt Wooroolin as they were not aware of the stunning lookout. Of course as we are all geocachers we checked the phone... low and behold... lets do some caches. So we turned left after coming down from Mt Wooroolin and decided we would follow the trail.
TFTC .... Cache in good order. TNLN ... Thank you Sprhawke

Found whilst on a very non direct route to QOGM - Charleville 2022. On the hunting trail again with SeasonedBird (aka Mrs Geo, Salty Chook, the Old Boiler, Old Chook, Dirty Bird, Angry Bird & occasionally even Love Bird). It’s a great day for caching.

It was moving day today as we traveled the short distance from Nanango to Kingaroy. The road was too bust to collect caches on the way so we headed straight to the showgrounds where we set up camp. Then it was off to collect as many caches as we could. Puzzles, multis and traditionals on a warm overcast day.
Thank you for your efforts in creating and maintaining the cache Sparhawke.

Stopping in Kingaroy for a couple of days as we bimble around before we head back to Ipswich. Decided to tackle these ahead of the rain forecast for the rest of this week.

Today decided to tackle the Walk with the Dinosaurs series. Spent a 1-2 hours venturing around to get 11 caches, luckily the weather was cool. Thoroughly enjoyed finding these caches. TFTC Sparhawke

Clue.. Dont drop small cammed container in long grass. Found, signed and restored.
We are based at the Kingsley Grove winery with our caravan and headed out to do this cache. Thanks for hiding and giving us the opportunity to explore.
What a great red dirt track! This was a nice quick find thanks to very accurate coordinates. It’s a perfect day for catching to. Cloudy with a nice cool breeze. Everything with the cache is in excellent condition.
Another victim in slashing and road side tidy up. This is now a bison hanging out across the road - new details and coords when I get home.

The original cache has been lost due to slashing and tree removal. This cache is smaller and should stand the test of time.

No luck for me today, I had a good look but it wasn't a D 1.5 like the others.
Hopefully it is still there, and very well hidden.

On my way to drop off my daughter (Doscrapbooking) in Nanango to stay with her mother, a bit of time up our sleeve, what better way to spend some time than Geocaching.
All good with the cache, although a lot of rain through here recently.

Out for a morning's cache run to grab all the caches west of the Highway, most were quick finds while a few took a bit more searching for.

Dinosaurs are well feed here dated and signed PJT. All is good with this one as well.
Found while in the area visiting family thank you for placing this cache here for us to find.
It was time to do a bit of travelling again with ilook4geo, but we were only collecting a few caches along the way today. We found all the ones we had on the list to do. We signed each log and put everything back in place before we moved on. Thanks go to Sparhawke for putting this cache into play.
Time to hit the road again with goingplaces2 and pick up a few caches too. Thanks for placing this cache.
On our way south after the QOGM event Blackall, grabbing a few caches on the way. We visited your cache at 10:17 am Logs signed Coongoola or CG. Thanks for placing this cache Sparhawke
While staying in the Barambah Bush Caravan Park we headed off to try for a few more smilies nearby.
Our main aim was the ‘Walk With The Dinosaurs’ series near Kingaroy but we grabbed any we could find while passing by.
We were concerned when we couldn’t find a clue in the cache but happy to see that it wasn’t supposed to be a cache that held a clue.
Many thanks for the cache Sparhawke

Back in town again and we had enough time to finish off the dinosaurs we left unfound last time. I travelled down the road with the youngest geodaughter, making a few quick stops along the road which thankfully, was very quiet this morning. Fairly quick finds here for all caches, name added and off to Ballogie to collect my geodaughter's friend for the school holidays. Thanks for placing and maintaining these caches Sparhawke
We are on our way to Blackall QOGM, our 6th stop on our trip is Nanango.
This morning we decided not to move to Kingaroy but instead took a day trip from Nanango.
Our main target was the dinosaur trail & a few others around town.
Thankyou for placing this cache Sparhawke

And we also fed the Dinosaur!
On our way back home after spending couple of days in Central Queensland. We decided we need a walk, so we followed the Dinosaur Trail.
Thanks a lot for all the caches!

Today I had to drive from Brisbane to Kingaroy and back for some work meetings. After our meeting was over we headed to this country road - which was a bit busier than I thought it would be - to find a few of the caches in this series. Not enough time to find them all today but I managed to find a few. Another one in the series found. TFTC, Biggles.
Out caching with the Tough Mothers (Jemillalucy, Bennyboppers and Lisylou). TFTC!
Very LONG grass - take your wriggler wand It's feeding time alright - we are hot and tired now. Time to get to that Letterbox!

Hi there Sparhawke.
We are on our way to [QOGM](https://coord.info/GC7P875), the Queensland Outback Geocaching Muster, which is being held in Barcaldine. We stopped off in Kingaroy today on our way westward so we could break our journey and log a few geocaches.
Our find total today was 13 caches & we DNF'd 1. Thanks for placing this cache here, without geocaching as our guide we would never have found so many interesting places on our travels as we continue our nomadic wanderings around Australia.
**Coordinate Accuracy:** We found this cache around 2m from where the GPS said we should be looking.
**Cache Condition:** The container and log book are in good shape.
**Took:** Nothing.
**Left:** Smiley Badge.
Thanks for the hunt today,
Regards
Ian & Penny.

Walk with the dinosaurs – Feeding Time
26/08/2018
104 Km from Home
We had loaded up Scooby Doo (Car) & the Mystery Machine (Van and mobile GEO HQ) and headed off to Kingaroy QLD for the inaugural Baconfest. After checking into the Kingaroy Holiday Park (Recommended) we were all set for 3 days of celebrating all things bacon. Although apart from the event name, most of the weekend showcased pork rather than bacon.
With all that yummy bacon and pork on offer (the “Butchers Block’ meal in the RSL bistro is certainly a vegan free zone) we needed to do a bit in between to stop the arteries hardening completely, what better way to do it than chase a few caches.
One of 20+ easy finds in between rain showers and lunch at Baconfest.
This one was the first one after Cheesy Bacon Bombs and Popcorn Pork for lunch at Baconfest so gave us a giggle when we saw the cache name...
We took nothing but memories; we left nothing but footprints, and our tag.
The hide is excellent, the container is in good nick. and the log is in good condition and ready for the next finder.
Thanks for the cache Sparhawke.
Cheers

A fleeting visit to Kingaroy and drive up to a nearby lookout Most of the caches in this series were exposed and carelessly tossed back at GZ. I tried to place them back in obvious hiding spots. Collected clues from a few (but not all) and will be back sometime to look for the caches on the walking track.

After hunting a bison we hit Mt Woorlin road to search for a few dinosaurs. While Eskies5 was in control of the navigation I was in charge of reining in the mighty beasts. One at a time we made our way down the road ticking each one off at a decent pace. Great little series here Sparhawke sorry for the cut and paste logs here. Every hide along here was found nice and easy before moving onto the next one.
My apologies up front for the copy 'n' paste logs...not my usual thing but the unusually high numbers found (for the Eskies) necessitated this to get the job done.
Mrs E & Kestal hit the road early this morning for a numbers run as the Eskies prepare for the next milestone...a really enjoyable day with many scenic roads travelled. We were very thankful for a reprieve in the hot weather after the scorching temps this week...some areas in the region obviously copped a battering at some stage with many branches and trees down in spots. Our thanks to all the COs for their contribution to our day...a total of 41 found!
