As there has been no response to the last request/s to attend to this cache, or provide regular updates, the cache is being de-listed on the basis that it has been abandoned by the Cache Owner.

If there are components or remnants of the cache, please return to the GZ and collect the cache (or remnants). We don't want to litter our environment with Georubbish.

Caches that have been archived for lack of maintenance will not be unarchived. This is explained here: [**Unarchive a geocache**](http://support.groundspeak.com//index.php?pg=kb.page&id=70).

If you wish to contact me regarding this cache, please send an email via my profile - [**Bunjil,**](https://coord.info/PR9GZ0K) and quote the cache name and GC number.

I have Been back and forward from Corowa. I have a family member that is ill. I will be down that way in three weeks

Not found since last December, owner not online since February.... archive...

This geocacher reported that this geocache should be archived. A community volunteer reviewer has been notified.

15-Jul-18
I acknowledge the Needs Archive log, but I can not see a recent Needs Maintenance log on this cache!

Please read the Help Centre article; [**I Found a Geocache that Needs Maintenance.**](http://support.groundspeak.com/index.php?pg=kb.page&id=551)

If you believe the cache needs some attention by the Cache Owner, it is preferable to contact the owner of the geocache with your concerns and/or log a Needs Maintenance log. Use the profile link next to the cache owner's name at the top of the cache page to send an email, as well as logging to the cache page your experience regarding your visit.

Only if you have no response from the cache owner after a reasonable amount of time, then I'd suggest using a "Needs Archive" Log. Except for in the most extreme cases, it's normally best to give the cache owner a chance to fix the issue before alerting the Reviewers.

**In this case it would seem there is a need for the CO to check out the cache, so I am disabling the cache to facilitate action by the cache owner.**

This is our fourth trip to the northern island this year. The first three were primarily for family events but with some opportunities to do some caching along the way. The fourth trip is different as caching is our focus. After getting off The Spirit of Tasmania we are heading north to cache at Wangaratta and then Yass before heading into the ACT and Queanbeyan for a week. After that we will travel to Jindabyne for a few days with summiting Mount Kosciuszko being our main target for this part of our trip. Then we will visit Cooma and Tumut before heading back down the track through Wangaratta and Mansfield as we make our way to Alexandra for the MEGA. After the weekend we will continue to make our way south and back onto the Spirit of Tasmania for the “drive” across Bass Strait. We are really looking forward to three weeks of intense caching in great areas and, hopefully, catching up with some geocachers in each of the areas we will visit.

Today we spent most of the day in the car travelling from Tumut to Tarcutta, Culcairn, Finley, Cobram and Corowa. The main purpose of such a route was to visit another waypoint for a multi which started in Canberra and to find GCA caches in four Local Government Areas as we work towards the CGA Trophy Challenge of finding at least one GCA cache in all Local Government Areas (LGA) within a 100km radius of our finding centroid. Our current centroid is in central Victoria meaning that the LGAs we need to visit are all in Victoria and we will have to visit them during trips outside Tasmania. If we could find a GCA cache in the four LGAs today, we would only need to find a cache in another seven LGA to complete the challenge. So we planned a long day driving. With such a long trip we took the opportunity to look for some GC caches in each of the areas visited and along the way. In fact we found many more GC caches than GCA caches but we managed to reach our GCA goals for the day.

After visiting Culcairn, Walla Walla, Finley, we headed in a roughly easterly direction to Corowa where we were to stay the night. After booking into the motel, we went out to get a meal. Along the way we looked for and found two caches before returning to the motel for the night.

It took a few minutes for our GPS units to settle down in this area. The hint was very useful in locating this cache in a good hide. The cache and contents were in good condition. Thanks Richie3Layla3Emma for the cache.

***** We are currently writing detailed logs because of a challenge provided by Project-GC. "The Author" Badge challenges geocachers to average one hundred words or more in each log. On 1 September 2017 our average was 86 which seems close to the 100 target. However given that we have found so many GC caches, we have to write many logs with well over 100 words for a long period of time to get our average to the target. Apologies to anyone who finds the logs tedious but it is the only way that we can strive to attain this challenge. After 408 caches (which includes all cache finds up and including yesterday), the average log length is just over 97.0. We are now entertaining the possibility that we might be able to achieve our gaol before this trip ends. Progress has been better than anticipated.*****

A find very close to a business close family run in Corowa. We were spotted by the museum workers who knew about the cache (thankfully). tftc

Hadn't planned on grabbing this one today but after stopping in for some "fast"food at maccas only to be told neither slushy machine was ready & the milkshake machine was in clean mode after already waiting 10mins to order... i left a not too impressed hubby to wait for our food & took pooch for a walk to look for this one. The museum was open so didn't want to look too obvious especially when a worker came out so we ducked around the corner and came back after they went back inside. Discovered the great size hide & was signing away when the same lady came back out & at the same time we thought we'd been busted she piped up & said "you found the geocache"? Had a quick chat & we were on our way... back to grab that no so fast food . Tftc

Very clever!

15-Oct-17
We were going to attempt this one earlier in the afternoon, but there was way too much muggle activity at GZ so we moved on.
After coming back into town from the cemetery, the workers had finished, so we made a try.
We fiddled around here a bit, and with the clue in mind we tried a few spots without success.
As we were about to leave we tried one last spot and there it was.
SL at 4pm. Cache in good nick.
Hopefully next time we are here it will be when the Museum is open as we would like to have a look around it. TFTC Richie3Layla3Emma.

After dropping my passengers at their lunch booking I walked into town with the intention of finding a couple of GC caches. I also stumbled across a GCA locationless cache nearby. Bonus.
After waiting for various muggles to walk past this was a quick find in the second checked spot.

Thanks Richie3Layla3Emma

The forecast wasn't supposed to be very flash today, so we hopped into the car and set of for Corowa and Bulldale. Turned out to be a very nice sunny day! We hit the Chiltern bakery late morning and continued north. Lots of new caches to grab on the way.

There was a PVC pipe that really looked like a new cache here, but not as such!
Brushed up against the Pineapple Sage and could smell it for the next few caches! Smile
Nice hide. Dropped off a TB.
Thanks, Robmc.

#12418. After a busy start to the morning editing some stuff for Alexandra and solving the 3rd of some local puzzles it was time to hit the road and head for Chiltern, Rutherglen, Corowa and beyond. To my surprise we managed an unexpected FTF, a couple of 2TFs and a few 3TF's. Managed a nice total of 15 finds and 1 disappointing DNF. It was a lovely day to be touring the countryside.

Third to find once again with this one. Rob dropped off a TB that has since been picked up. We thought we knew exactly where the cache was but we were wrong. Found it soon after however. Now off to wet a worm.

Thanks Richie3Layla3Emma

Ducked out for some night caching with Indianagleeson and shellumbus. This was our third stop for the night after a much needed coffee from the local drive thru outlet. A quick find easily down at night with no muggles nearby. TFTC.

Found with a little trouble. Iphone did not want to recognise the cache for some strange reason, but checked the location on laptop and went searching. Soon discovered thanks to the hint. Pleased to discover a blank log, recorded another FTF. Thanks for the cache Richie3Layla3Emma. (PS. If you have a chance to look through the museum, it is well worth the visit).
