Logs
I checked the cache this morning and 4 online logs which do not fulfill the requirements of having signed the physical log in the cache container have been deleted. It is a requirement of Geocaching HQ rules that the log inside the container must be signed to claim a find for the cache.
I looked for this a long time ago and failed. This time I took just seconds. And was first in the new logbook. SL TNLN TFTC
Back in action!Container revitalised and a new logbook is inside.Remember if you have not signed the official logbook inside the cache you have not "found" it and your online log will be deleted.
On a regular cache maintenance walk this afternoon I checked this cache and decided it's time for a new logbook. The cache is offline until I fix this.
I have checked the logbook and following Geocaching Guidelines some online logs have been deleted as there is no corresponding log in the logbook inside the container. "Caches can be logged online as Found after the geocacher has visited the coordinates and signed the logbook."
I found it! The cache booklet was ripped and damp. If you go looking for it bring a pencil or pen. Thanks cache owner!
log was def a little wet, not impossible to write on but if someone has some time it might need to be left out in the sun to dry out for a bitTFTC!!
Took a while to find but got there. Muggles about so waited to return the hide. Thanks Jackscruff!
Call this cache a 50 year old man the way it had such a bold spot. A nice way to start todays Greenwich tripTFTC
Found, with shaneo58, We came down from Newcastle to do some caches along the northern line. near St Lenards and Greenwich and Wollstonecraft. Thankfully a lot cooler than for the last 5 days. Nice hide, found quickly, lucky weekdays have hardly any muggles around. Signed log and Cache replaced as found.**Thanks For The Cache** Jackscruff. This makes the 4th cache of 8 for today making a grand total of 4203 at 11:53AM on this Thursday the 21st of September in the Year 2023
Another find today with BillHill531 today. I'm totally loving this series, walking these bush tracks so close to the shores of Sydney Harbour. TFTC JackScruff ( loved the baths)
Once again Mrs A made the find as we were making our way to the ferry. TFTC Jackscruff.
Today was the last day of my visit from Brisbane and I had a couple of caches I wanted to find on the Greenwich Peninsula so did a walk of 12km around here and Berry Island from Wollstonecraft Station.
Didn’t take long to find. Logbook has seen better days but can still sign ok. Tftc

Lovely spot where I stopped for a while to enjoy the place. Tftc!

A nice quick find by Mr Tassie Trekkers, stamped log and replaced. Log book damp pages falling apart. Thanks to CO
We have arrived in Sydney on a mission to find caches in LGA's we don't have.
We have been expertly advised and guided by wazza9 and Nana Nel and in completing this task. Today we ticked off 5 and enjoyed the sights along the way.
Many thanks to all CO's for placing caches and helping us achieve our goals.

Log book seen better days here but the cache was a nice and easy find
Today after parkrun at centennial park I decided to head across the harbour via the train to get 1 of the last 2 LGAs that I have left in and around Sydney. I came to lane cove LGA and found a few caches in and around the area.
Thanks for the cache

My first find after stepping off the ferry, and after observing the host from two levels, it was an easy pickup. The log was a bit wet but still writeable. A few muggles passing by as well but nothing that interfered with my search.
I’m trying to get to a 100 logs before leaving Australia, so I had to power through at least 20 hides today to not leave too much to do on my last day. 35 degree heat towards the end but I had an early start and managed to have a pretty nice day after all, with a total of 21 geocaches found! Now I need 8 logs tomorrow and I should have reached 100.
A big thank you to Jackscruff for creating and maintaining this geocache, so that the rest of us can entertain our hobby. The log is signed as Bubbles.

Pretty cool area to hide a cache, nice container although the owner needs to reassign this cache a log as it is completely soaked. This one want really at ‘the roots’ but was still in a decent hiding spot

Found after a quick dip in the baths and after checking if any cashes nearby. I didn't have a pen on me so made a quick trip back to the car after finding to sign and put back. Baths were a not weedy today as went at low tide, but fairly quiet. I'll have to go back another day. Lived in the surrounding area for many years and never got here.
Very nice spot in a truly beautiful place. Also a very nice place to go for a dip. Hope you brought your swimmers!
I caught the ferry here from Circular Quay. I am trying to find a cache in each Australian Council area for challenges, and this find will tick off Lane Cove Council for me. A lovely area here. I found the cache after a short search. The log was damp, but writable on today. TFTC Jackscruff.
No wonder the cache was wet - it had not been replaced in the correct original position which was protected.
PLEASE REPLACE THE CACHE EXACTLY WHERE YOU FIND IT.
The log is damp but signable.

Good to finish on a find. An epic day caching with Jomingara. It has been a long time since we had a day like this. Time to catch the ferry to dinner...! Looking forward to the next day of caching
Geocaching day out with coach on his visit from Melbourne.
Started the day with the coach getting a virtual in Central Station. After some caching in Surry Hills with Sharanyaexpress in tow, and lunch in St Leonards, we head towards the Greenwich peninsula 'hotspot'.
Amazing end to the day. We found this with about 10 minutes to spare before our ferry to Circular Quay. What an amazing harbour swimming spot. Really keen to have a swim when the weather warms up again.
Thanks Jackscruff.

A quick find after the nearby event. Thanks for an excuse to visit this area. Thanks for the cache Jackscruff
Now that the NSW Government is easing lockdown restrictions and we can now travel outside our local LGA, it’s time to bring this cache back into play.
Just a reminder, a fundamental rule of geocaching is that, in order to be able to log a cache find online, you must retrieve the cache container and sign the physical log located in that container. Failure to comply will result in your online log being removed.
We know the COVID-19 virus is still about, so please take precautions to keep yourself and those around you safe by doing things such as wearing gloves to handle caches, as well as using hand sanitiser regularly.
I have checked the cache today and the container is still in place and the log is in good condition. Some trees have been removed near GZ so please make sure you are not being observed by muggles using the Baths.
Take care everyone and enjoy your geocaching!

To help stop the spread of Covid-19, the NSW Government has ordered everybody to stay at home unless you are: shopping for essentials, receiving medical care, exercising or travelling to work or education.
While some people would regard going geocaching as a form of exercise, it is my personal opinion that this activity is a non-essential one, perhaps involving unnecessary travel and therefore should not be undertaken during this time of crisis.
Who knows how long this current lockdown will last! Right now, every one of us has an important part to play in helping to keep our families, friends and the wider community safe in the fight against the spread of Covid-19, by staying home.
As a result of the health authority’s directive, I have decided to disable this cache and respectfully request that no person seek out and claim a find whilst this cache is disabled.
Thank you for your cooperation. I look forward to bringing my caches back into play as soon as the health crisis abates.
Regards,
Jackscruff

Really nice spot ... must be very nice to live here. Thanks for the hide, the hide location looks quite special to someone, very artistic
The path to the baths is being replaced so there was no way to get down there today, but the cache was definitely accessible and in an interesting place too. Not surprisingly the log was a little damp but still quite serviceable. Thanks for a good hide, it's probably a lot nicer there without the cloud and rain.
A nice walk to this location. Found quickly thanks to great coords and sound hint, which we appreciate. TFTC JackScruff
A quick find after a restful stop off in the baths, milkshake in hand from a kind lifeguard. No pen to sign log so photo attached. TFTC!
TFTC! Second find overall. My boyfriend found it easily after I was looking in the wrong place lol. Lovely area, except there were many children around!
Found it higher than the clue.
Took nothing and left nothing.
Signed the log.
Thanks for the cache
